Bought a 49cc scooter at scooter Daves. It ran decent until the top end went out. Took it to scooter Daves and got a big bore kit on it. It went (broke again) out in two days after breaking it in properly. Was missing bolts the first time + plastic disassembled but still on the bike (bolts missing, plastic not clipped). After the second repair I found a broken headlight and tons of missing bolts (even two from under the seat!) Id take it back to him but he told me it would cost an arm and a leg if I brought my scooter back to him to be repaired again. All around professional personally except the last part. Needless to say I would never recommend purchasing here. Nothing they could say or do would make it right. Do not give them your money!Ive never been told it would cost me an arm and a leg to continue to do buisness with the individual who sold me a piece of motor equipment. Expessally if they are going to return the bike with a headlight out.I take responsibility for the engine blowing the first time. I do not take responsibility for the second. Was told in the same breath yeah me and my guys love the performance, I myself (Dave) got it up to 32! Anyway, dont take it above 15 until the breaking period is over. Take your money here if you feel its convenient.

Dave was super friendly and honest with his prices. No up charging or adding on to the price. Even delivered to our house and gave our son a great tutorial on the bike! Very pleased with the purchase!

My family recently purchased a scooter for my Mother’s Day present After driving 35 miles the scooter wouldn’t start. My husband loaded the moped and took it back and was told he would not fix because the moped has no warranty. The carburetor is bad on a brand new moped and this business refused to make this right. 34 miles? This is absolutely unacceptable and a horrible way to do business.

You get what you pay for, and he’s the cheapest in the area; “brand new,” moped broken mirrors, busted lock, sticker glue all over, wires hanging out, broken speedometer, sold it to me on empty.

Complete waste of time bring my moped there to be fixed. He will not awnser his phone. Went to check on it and he said dont come up here Ill call. Took 3 weeks for him to tell me what it needs which I told him the first day I dropped it off. I picked up my moped and parts were missing off of it. Do not try to get anything fixed there.

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I purchased an ATV for my grandkids from Scooter Dave. It had many issues to start with and Dave fixed them all with no issue. About 3 months after getting the ATV the motor mount welds broke so the unit vibrated terribly. I talked to Dave about it and was able to talk to the manufacturer and get me a brand new ATV. I would highly recommend doing business with Scooter Dave! He is honest, reliable and will go to bat for you in any circumstance.

Great service. My son and I dropped off our scooter at 11AM for a fuel line and carb change. Dave called 2 hours later to let me know it was ready to pick up. These guys are straight shooters and efficient at what they do. Prices are spot on the craftsmanship is very good. It had been 3 years since our scooter ran and she’s going great now. Hes great with scooters just dont do trades with his employees as they will rip ya off on fourwheelers but i think thru more buisness which i have yet to make with scooter daves would be good i feel dave is a not a crook but his employee micheal was when they did buisness with a good personal friend of mine but i am willing to still do buisness with dave if he is still willing i do appologize for the earlier review and will update based on buisness as i am in market for a scooter or fourwheeler

Great experience. Easy to do business with. I ordered a NewSpeed 50 for my son on a Friday over the phone. He delivered it a week later to me in the Lees Summit area (he could have delivered a couple of days sooner but Friday afternoon worked better for me.). The scooter looks great, my son loves it. He showed us how it worked, maintenance issues, and paperwork was easy. Paid in cash.

Absolutely great customer service and a price you cannot find anywhere else. Strongly recommend going through Dave and avoiding the over priced scooter stores around KC. Dave also delivered the scooters directly to the home and made things extremely easy.

He acts like a nice guy but his bikes are cheap and he is disorganized. mine came with a burn mark on the side. Has a problem every time I ride it. First day it spilled oil everywhere, when I called he was rude and abruptly said I cant see the bike you can, bring it in. Thats it. Paid $850. Wont even stay running more than a week with out another problem. Im going to have to sell it because it wont run and I barley got to ride it. A bike that is a week old should not need much service... And to jus be rude about a bike that hasntt even been in my care for an hour should never spill oil all over due to Daves mechanical neglected error of not assembling properly. Its not hard to keep a bike in good condition.. his are just trash. My guess is Dave just likes to scam people with his factory returned bikes.This for sure isant my first bike. A new bikes maintenance requires an oil change and check oil regularly. Secure bolts and clean fresh gas.... All of which I did.The reason I never let him look at it is because I was warned not to by other people he scammed with his terrible patch jobs that take weeks. Him saying I need to put a new bike I just bought that day in the shop for a month so i can pay more money to have him fix what he messed up sounds scammish to me. He left a clamp on a air hose and the gas tank came with a giant hole in the top. If any thing goes wrong with your bike at all his fault or not, he will blame you.
