Took our Rio in for Service and an issue with the engine light which turned out to be minor. The service staff treated me upon entering, were very polite, and answered all my questions. Top Notch. Recommend highly
Ive been having troubles with my car ever since I bought it in Colorado where the sound would drop out. Its a known issue but it has to be reproduced at the shop and we never could. I finally caught the problem while visiting and headed straight to Roper where they kindly took my car in immediately and confirmed it. They were very friendly and have me a great write-up on the issue.

Fuel pump went out in my car. My car was transported to KIA dealership to be fixed. 2 WEEKS later, I was charged over a thousand dollars for the part that they can get for over half that on the KIA website. Also, no mention of a loner car while my car took WEEKS because they had a lack of employees to work on my car. This is not to mention the 2 or 3 different stories I heard during this lengthy process. BEWARE OF THESE PRICE GOUGERS.
Michael was one of the best salesmans hands down that we have ever had the experience of dealing with. He made the process so easy, less stressful, always had a smile on his face, and could answer any questions that was thrown his way. Called to ensure that a vehicle that was listed on their website was actually on the lot. Zion said that it was on the lot and that when I arrive to talk to him. I was clear that I was coming from Springfield and didnt want to waste hours driving. Again, he said, let me check, yes it is on the lot. When I arrived I was greeted by Levi. I told Levi that I called ahead and talked to Zion and that I should seek him out. Levi tells me that Zion works in the Business Development Center and is not a salesman. Why would Zion tell me to ask for him? I suppose he gets some form of additional compensation for answering my phone call if I buy a vehicle ? Levi goes to check if the car is on the lot. It took almost ten minutes before anyone came to talk to me. I knew the car wasnt there judging by the time it took to get back to me and the appearance of Holly, whom I assume is Levis boss. Full of smiles and a quirky, upbeat attitude. She informs me Ive got some good news and some bad news. Turns out the car was NEVER on the lot but rather on its way. I left livid as I dont have a lot of free time and I dropped ALL my plans for the day just to have them discarded without any sincere remorse. Worst of all, this wasnt the first time. I called about a month ago for the same vehicle (different listing) and at least whomever I talked with let me know the vehicle was no longer on the lot. They have singlehandedly ruined what should have been a great experience and now.....I will never consider them for anything ever.

Todays visit was great, I was due for my second auto butler appointment. I loved visiting with the staff, Rodney did not want me to be bored sitting for a long time, so we took a nice walk around the lot and looked at several cars. Im in love with my K5 EX though. :) The staff at Roper Kia is always so friendly.

I always have a great experience when I take my car in to be serviced. The people are friendly, knowledgeable and the work is completed on schedule. They are very good to keep me informed on the state of my tires or things I might need to watch for in the future, but they are never pushy. I trust them and that’s a nice feeling.

A few months ago my husband and I stopped at Kia because of the advertisement that was posted online. My husband are not rich, and we both share a vehicle. We have a 2016 Ford Fusion that was underwater because of Ford. We both came to Kia to see if we could trade in our 2016 Ford Fusion; unfortunately we both didn’t have enough equity for the trade! I will not mention any names because I respect the dealers a lot. We where told to come up with at least a 1000.00 dollars and then to contact them back! With me working a lot, I managed to contact them back with what I was told that I needed. It wasn’t good enough the banks wanted 4 to at least 6 thousand dollars in hand before trading in the 2016 Ford Fusion! The banks said because of our car being underwater! Now let me ask you this! Why didn’t you guys just inform my husband and I (Because of the equity the banks would need more than just a 1000.00 dollars) That would have made us so much happier, but instead you tell us that the banks want at least 4 to 6 thousand dollars down before trading it in. All I ask is for you guys to just be honest. I know it is not your fault however, you guys made my husband and I loose hope because we where paying way too much for our Ford, and we wanted to change all that. Thank you

Ill admit, this was my own stupidity... but Im still disgusted. I brought my car in for some regular maintenance. They quoted a few items and I gave them my budget. They recommended I replace the intake and cabin filters. Seems reasonable... After I received the bill I had my husband look at it. I have no knowledge of cars whatsoever so he showed me the process. Cabin filter ($10 at walmart) - Replaced in 3 minutes. Intake filter is maybe 10 minutes tops. Between these two filter changes, the cost was over $300. That works out to around $20 per minute for them to replace two filters. My stupidity for not realizing what they were doing... but when someone needs repairs on a limited budget and you convince them to replace filters instead.. at those insanely inflated prices... its abuse. They have great service... theyre friendly... and theyll charge you hundreds for minutes of work. My next car is coming from Youngblood in Springfield.Quick response to the owner - I appreciate your response, but my point stands. 15 minutes of work FOR ME, is probably a lot faster for the techs, and still $300+ for 15 minutes of work. Great friendly service... $20 per minute.
My engine locked up due to a recall. A week after Roper Kia replaced my engine I received a call saying that Im having whistling noises from my transmission (Had no issues prior to bringing my car in). They ran a diagnostic and Roper said they couldnt confirm or deny it had to do with the recall and would go in 50/50 with me on a new transmission. Ive called their customer service numerous times and agents from Kia told me that prior to Roper installing my engine that they ran diagnostics on my transmission and everything was fine from the technicians notes. Long story short my issue still hasnt been resolved a month later and Im still without a car... Ive been told I would receive calls back and have my issue resolved. Yet no one has called me to let me know what is going on. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with.
My son-in- law brought my car in. He said everything went great. Everyone helpful and courteous. I have been bringing my Kia there for service since I bought it there in 2006. No complaints at all!
I think kia always does good but should give discounts on oil changes and other items fixed in shop
The staff are always very kind, knowledgeable, and ready to help with any issues. They had my scheduled maintenance completed quickly. When I needed information on a roof rack I was hoping to have installed, they ensured I had the info prior to leaving.
I had a great experience at Kia. We have bought new cars before and had service done at the dealership but this was by far the best I’ve experienced. The gentleman checking us in told us all that was going to happen and told us if we had any questions to ask. Then when we sat in the waiting room another gentleman asked if we needed any drinks or snacks. While sitting and waiting I got a text from Kia telling me I could text back with them about an concerns I had. So in all great customer service and experience.
Ive had some ups and downs here but thats probably true with most places. In the latest issue, we had a recall on our car that took over a month when it was suppose to take a week. From what I understand they were having issues with the parts and other facilities. On the plus they did getting work great and Ethan was great to work with.
Fantastic customer service in the service department! I forgot my wallet at home and Paul asked a shuttle driver to run me home to grab it. The shuttle driver was fantastic and friendly. We had great conversation and never once did he or Paul make me feel like an idiot for forgetting my wallet.
Everyone at Roper Kia is super friendly. Service guys did a great job communicating how long the repair would take and exceeded expectations by finishing the repair a little faster than they estimated. Really appreciate the fantastic service.

My wife and I’s experience wasn’t great at all. They inaccurately told my wife on the phone about the pricing, stock and what deal they’d give her. She left a review but it’s missing from the reviews. Not to mention they raised the price above MSRP of the Soul we were looking at and were told it’s a “regional fee”. Waste of our time. Hopefully, others will have a better experience.
The salesperson will build you up to keep trying to get approved BUT when they run your credit they start telling half truths. They said obtain a qualified CO signer and youll be approved. Followed directions and in the same day returned and cosigner was fine but now a new obstacle... owe too much on the trade in. They knew how much was owed on the van prior to sending me to get a cosigner. Was a huge disappointment and felt deceived when we were completely honest from the start. Also, when shown a vehicle was told the payments would be a certain amount but they came back with a payment amount double what was originally quoted. The place was clean and the salesman were nice Ill give them that much. Those two reasons alone are why they got 2 stars.
I went in to Kia looking for a hybrid CRV. I had a list of everything I wanted in a car but they didnt have one, however Hayden showed me a Kia Niro that literally had almost everything on my list. It was lacking one thing however that could easily be solved. So we went for a drive and I could not believe how amazing it was. It ran smooth, it steered itself, heated and cooling seats, sun and moon roof, remember seat settings, navigation, automatic phone charger and so much more. My goodness there are no words to tell you how awesome this crossover is. So thank you Hayden for finding me the right crossover in the right price range I was looking for.
My battery had died, and one of the screws was corroded and stripped out. I couldn’t get any battery services to touch it because they were afraid of breaking the whole piece. So I had a jump started car that I couldn’t shut off in fear of it not starting back up! I pulled up to the service department with no appointment and they were able to get me in within a reasonable time, and get it fixed and the battery replaced. Roper KIA service department is always friendly and helpful and I never leave disappointed.
Went in for a recall service for oil problems (bad piston rings) and they just changed the oil and then test drove the car and said it didn’t have any problems with the oil. They did not preform the service as described per the recall. They just said there’s no problem. When on the way to them the engine was cutting out and knocking. They just put synthetic oil in it and then test drove it. The recall says it’s not safe to drive and they just said to keep driving it and if there’s any problems to call or come back. All they wanted to do is get my money and get me out of there store.

I got to work with Michael Jarmen, they call him the jarmanator and hes fantastic!!!! He made sure all my familys needs were met and that I would have plenty of room in my new Kia Sorrento. If you need a good new or used car go see Jarmenator. The staff are all very friendly and nice.
Bought car in Feb, received recall notification in Aug. Made appt. online for recall and added on oil change/tire rotation. Received multiple email confirmations and modifications to the appt (no less than 15 emails, not exaggerating) but no indication of what changed on the appt.It said 10:00am to 3:30pm. Since I live over an hour away, I would either need a loaner or have someone else follow me so I wouldnt have to sit there all day. I called and spoke to a service advisor the day before my appt, she confirmed the time and said they dont offer loaners but they could shuttle me anywhere in the Joplin area (she barely listened and was not helpful or friendly - so I could be shuttled another location in Joplin to be stuck for hours?) So I made inconvenient arrangements for someone to follow me in our other vehicle so we could run errands and shop while my car was being serviced.None of the 15+ email confirmations gave me instructions on what to do when I arrived. I parked outside the service bay and went in to speak to someone. Ethan welcomed me and told me to pull in. He pulled up my file and said he has me down for the oil change but not the recall. I said the recall was the entire point of the appt, that I added on service. He kept looking and found the recall. He said worst case scenario, it would take an hour and a half. I explained my frustration that I was told this would take several hours and I had two vehicles, blah blah inconvenience. He was very nice and apologized. We left to go shopping, and in about an hour Ethan was calling me to let me know my car us ready.We definitely could have waited, all driven together, not spent 2x on gas, and not been inconvenienced, if only the woman I spoke to the day before had cared to help me. Definitely not a good experience overall (Ethan was great) and not at all what I was sold the day I bought my car. My warranty covered the $58 recall, and my discounted service was $89 - not a good deal in my opinion, and it was not explained to me what my $ paid for exactly.But like with anything else, once you sign the dotted line, they dont care about you anymore. I dont have to get my service done there, so I hope for no more recalls.

Drove an hour and a half for them to tell us there was nothing they could do because they were short on cars, even though we were told they were stocked. False promises were made by the sales rep and four hours of our time was wasted. Everything they did at the dealership could have been handled over the phone and saved all the time wasted. Other dealerships I have done buisness with such as Miami superstore have done everything but the paperwork over the phone and even delivered my truck to my house for me. Dont go here unless you want your time to be for nothing.
The service department is by far the best we have ever dealt with. The team is very knowledgeable and always helpful. Our service rep, Tim even came in on his day off to be sure we were taken care of.

The gentleman that helped me was very nice and professional. His name was Ethan. The only complaint I really have is that it seems that theyre either short-handed, or the demand for service has grown. Ive been taking my car there for service for the last 3 years and havent had an issue getting an appointment for the week that I call. This time they were booked solid 2 weeks out. Not a big deal, but perhaps expand the service department or hire more people to keep up with demand. Ethan was fantastic though!
Was very happy with KIA in Joplin, Mo. I had hit a small animal the night before, so took my car in the. next day. I was surprised that KIA had the part on hand. I planned on having to order the part and bring back my car another day. They told me it would take about 2 hrs and I dont even think it took an hour. I had my dog with me and they welcomed Smiley inside as like he was a customer. He got lots of attention and that also made me very happy. So Im 5 star Happy

Two stars instead of one because at least they got me in, in a reasonable amount of time. I was just provided a recall notice last weekend. Monday my car broke down, and low and behold its due to a recall on my 2016 Kia Soul. We were told the catalytic converter was toast (part of the recall issue) and they had to order one. This was on Wednesday. They said it would take 2 days. I called back today and was told the part was there and then that it wasnt and then again that it had come in but they were too busy to work on it today or tomorrow and it would be Monday before they could do the work. After they install it and the software they can then check for further damage/issues to the engine. A recall issue that should have taken one hour to update software is now turning into a week., maybe longer depending on what they find Monday. I feel as though my car being there since Wednesday, waiting on parts, should not bump it to the back of the line when the parts finally come in. I asked about loaners and was advised they have to many broken down (12-13 per the service tech we spoke to this afternoon). To get reimbursed I would first have to go out of pocket $250-300 and be reimbursed through consumer affairs/Kia corporate which could take Lord knows how long. I will never again own a Kia, after I am able and know the car has been fully repaired, I will trade it in on something else. When you pay good money for a vehicle, you expect service from dealerships on recall issues to be treated promptly and courteously. We have called twice, once Wednesday evening, when no one called us, to find out status and again today because yet again no one called to let us knowntherr would be further delays. Each time when I asked for service, the phone rang a minimum of 3 minutes before I gave up and hung up and my husband ended up calling back. I get that its a business and limited by the staff they employ, maybe they should employ more staff...if they cannot even keep the loaners running, maybe they need more service techs. Everything addressed was AAA Service. Of course after close scrutiny as with most things there were little things that could have been done or done better. For the price and the time involved I am very happy with the result. I will definitely come again as well as refer others.

My Experience with the service department has been absolutely excellent each time Ive been in. They are so friendly and honest. For instance I came in with questions, this gentleman quickly came to assist, but the questions I had were not in his department. But he said, I work in detail, but hey let me go get someone to answer those. And you know what he did, he walked back with another gentleman named Matt who helped get me squared away. Thank you!!I would give Roper Kia 5 stars- but honestly in my opinion and with my experience the ones who work in the back/service and maintenance department, are the ones more likely to help you. And the ladies at the cashier stand are amazing as well!!
This was the first time Ive used their car detailing service. I was extremely impressed with the job they did on cleaning the interior and exterior of my car. Ive already sent referrals and will be going back to have them clean my car again!
Paul, the service manager called me just sfter my husband left getting the 60,000 mile service on our Kia Sorrento. We asked for wiper blade replacements. He thought they had been installed, but found out they had not. He immediately called to let me know. We are located about 1.5 hours away so he said the next time were in the area to stop by and they will put them on for us. For our inconvenience, he offered a detail of our vehicle as well. Now thats what I call service! Honest, which is rare today. Thank you Paul! We very much appreciate your great service!
I have nothing but good things to say about the Roper body shop. They were quick, and communicated well with me.
I went in for an oil change. I work so I sent my husband. When I scheduled my appointment I told them I only wanted an oil change nothing else. They charged me for a tire rotation and something else that I didn’t need and now my car isn’t driving right. When I called about it he told me he told my husband that he told him the prices and he signed for it. When I asked my husband he said he told me he already did it and thought it came with the oil change. He asked if we wanted an alignment for another $90.

Called to make an appointment for regular service. I was told they would return my call to let me know service availability. After several hours and no call, I decided to go to the dealership in person to find out they did have availability that afternoon.The service desk employee was wearing his mask. However, after taking my car back I was approached by several unmasked employees. They also did not require customers to wear masks in their single waiting room while completing the service. It would be nice if they took the safety of customers seriously.
We always receive great service at Roper Kia, we were done with errands and ran by Kia for our service appt, to see if there was any chance of getting in earlier( we were 2 hrs early) they got us right in and finished way before actual appt.time!! Always a pleasure!!

My grandmother took her 2014 Kia Forte coup to roper Kia in joplin mo, she hit a rock that was in the road and busted her oil pan and such and Kia quoted her $13,554, she said that’s more than she payed for the car and wouldn’t do it so she brought the car to me and I fixed it for less than $300. On the quote they wanted to replace the whole engine and transmission and several other things but there is not one thing wrong with them at all. Roper Kia in joplin mo is a joke.

My wife and I came into Roper Kia to test drive a couple of different vehicles. We were really impressed with Levi’s customer service and overall knowledge of each vehicle we drove. We felt like he was giving us a genuine, honest answer to all of our questions. It truly felt like he was trying to do everything in his power to get us the best deal. If I were to buy to car from the inventory of any of the lots that Roper owns, I would request Levi for service that is unmatched.

If I could give a zero I would. It took 7 months of headaches, arguing and fighting for them to honor their 100,000 mile warranty on my kia soul. I have bought 6 cars from them and to be treated like they could care less. What happened to customer service, being treated with dignity and integrity? I ended up buying a new car because they wanted 10,000 to fix it. Save yourself headaches and find another kia dealer. I recommend run dont buy a vehicles from them.
Brought a car in for a possible trade. Salesman kept giving different financing options without ever telling us a trade in value or even just a not interested in your trade... Felt like we werent being listened too...
The appointment went fine except I was referred on to the Nissan dealer to fix problem. I feel like I waited a month to get in and now I have to still be inconvenienced by unhooking the battery every time after I drive it.
Great customer service, pleasant place to wait or just as easy to get a shuttle somewhere. Thanks all.
Were on our third Kia now, primarily because of Ethan, our service manager. He always makes sure we get every service taken care of at the right time, and he listens when I, who am not a car person, ask lots of questions. Im so grateful for his help, and because of him, weve been able to keep our Kias on the road for many years.
