We had a motor replacement and hy steering put on great job speedy and efficient wish you were closer to me
Nobody had a clue what was going on. The people up front kept waiting for the guy in the back to get back. All the good people that used to work here is gone, didn’t recognize anyone. Do yourself a favor and save a lot of frustration and find a different marina. Compelety clueless!
Great place. I traveled from Oologah to bring my new to me bought used 20 year old Honda 25 Horse Till motor. They were referred by another Marine center that said Hondas are a specialized motor and that they would only take it to Marine Center and they were right. Even though it was a busy time of year, spring, when everyone wants their boat fixed, they got mine done within 2 weeks and did everything I wanted. My Honda runs like new and I am not afraid of it breaking down. They did an awesome job and the staff I interacted with were all super friendly. This was well worth me driving 90 miles. They will be my Honda marine center from now on. Thanks Marine Center.
They were supposed to check the compression they said it was 20 20 40 50 and they were supposed to fill it full of oil they call me say engines no good whatsoever charge me $80 they said put four quarts of oil in it when I got it home no oil whatsoever in it said they did a compression check I got home did a compression check all cylinders measured over 100 very poor workmanship would not recommend to anyone
Extremely rude, false advertising, they hung up on me 3 times. Craigslist ad shows these boats for $500. I called once to ask about the boats, the 14 foot in particular, and mentioned the ad price of $500. After taking a half day off from work to go pick one up, I called back to make sure they would have one by the time I got there and I was told the price was $750. They claim the prices are listed in the ad, all I see is 500.Cindy if you would take the time to click on my review here and go to the photos, then you would see the original ad on Craigslist which states $500. And if you had it posted correctly in the first place, then why has it been edited since you spoke with me? Stop lying.
Helpful & friendly people
Service dept. Top notch
Cindy knows her stuff. Sold me a boat, was knowledgeable about the product, got a solid warranty, and at a good price. I appreciate your help and I lobe my Lowe boat! Highly recommend!
Called for a Tohatsu motor and spoke to the girl up front, she held it for me so I could drive 3 hours to get it. They went over all the parts of it and went through the break in. I really appreciate it! Good place to do business with! Cindy and her Dad are hard workersThat know the motors well
Drove up from Rogers, Cindy and crew were top notch. Had me on the water within days . No hassle buying process and knows her boats! Installed my depth finder for me and did a nice job. I will send my buddies ! Thanks again Marine Center
Drove 180 miles to buy from Joplin marine center. And would gladly do it again! Very knowledgeable, great family service. And if they don’t know the answer to a question they find out quickly. Good experience all the way around!
I am here to tell you if you want a great price without the hassle The Marine Center is the place. I called all the dealers in Missouri, Arkansas, & Oklahoma & Cindy beat them hands down. No special paperwork, across the board that’s the price and you can’t get any better than that in my opinion. Great financing options, through their company too. Can’t wait to pick up my new Pontoon next week!!!!!
Cindy & Kim are hands down the best in the area. They have great prices, small place but they really know what they are doing. I have always been treated nice, fast service and from a family place is always nice. Not much of them around anymore!
Good people, sad toSee the fake reviews for a small business. Your are a good family that have always taken care of my little boat in a timely manner. Thanks guys
Stopped in to see about purchasing a boat, lady was rude and didnt care if I was there or not. Used to be a good place, sandy was amazing. Now not so much had to take business elsewhere
Great service friendly people
Great place to go for what ever your boat needs. They always have what I need or they get it for me.
Hands down some of the best customer service Ive ever had. Always have the parts Ive needed and if they didnt theyve had them in the next day or two with no problems 10/10 would recommend for anybody.
Rude and not willing to help. Go elsewhere. Tell you 1 thing on the phone and something else in person.
Great place that helped with the questions I had.
These are some of the best people I have dealt with I highly recommend them. Very friendly and helpful.
Very friendly and KNOWLEDGEABLE! ! They have a lot of accessories that you don’t find around joplin. Cindi did everything she could to find the correct water pump for my motor. Nice little place.
Best prices around. Cindy is awesome. Staff is knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. This is our second boat purchase from them.
Bought a new stinger bass boat here and Cindy was great. Had the best price, provided informative answers I couldn’t get anywhere else..even had a small issue with the boat and they took care of it right away. I read other reviews and don’t see any truth in them. I have always had great service from a nice family. That’s rare now days. Cindy & her dad know boats thank you!
Excellent service! Got my boat running top notch! Went the extra mile and really took care of us. And they were priced right! Ill be back here anytime I need service! Thanks guys!
Very nice people great service. My husband Frank and I been doing business with them over 30 years always very satisfied.
They got my boat winterized on short notice. We have used them since the first generation. I appreciate it!
Couldn’t find the right water impeller anywhere, called up and asked for the serial number, the girl at the counter had the right one the first time. Thanks for helping me out!
Found a great price on a boat .The price was $6000 cheaper than anything else I could find. However, I heard from another dealer that Marine Center buys seconds from the manufacturer. This made me wonder so I called the Lowe factory and they did confirm that Marine center has bought seconds in the past which could effect the warrenty but without the hull number they could not confirm the boat I wanted was a second. So, I called Marine center and told them the story which they said was not true and the boat was not a second. So I then requested the hull number. She told me she only gives the hull number to the bank. This was a red flag for me so I went elsewhere and made the purchase. Not sure what the big deal was by giving me the hull number. Many dealers show the hull number on their listing on the website. When I asked you about buying seconds you said thats not true.. All I wanted to do was confirm the boat was not a second with the manufacturer and if it was not a second I would have made the purchase, it was that simple. Just cant understand why giving the hull number to a customer is a big deal. If someone is spending $45,000 if would think giving a hull number out is a reasonable request. In addition, on 2 more seperate calls, I inquired about the current $750 Lowe military discount incentive offered on the boat in question, and the other call I asked about the current Mercury 2 year warrenty offer. I was told you do not offer these due to your prices being so low. That was another red flag since they are both manufacturer offered incentives. Granted, initially it comes.from you, and then they reimburse in the form of refund or voucher, but either way if you are an authorized dealer it is no loss to you. Just another red flag that drove me away. And I did find a boat for the same price that did offer the incentives no to far from Joplin.I welcome your research. You know what was said, in fact I am willing to post a photo of the invoice as I am picking up the boat today. The fact is,1. You do buy seconds and do not give the Hull number out so the buyer can confirm prior to going to your shop. 2. You do not offer manufacturer incentives, which you still have not given a reason why. 3. You never say in your responses to negative comments that any mistakes on problems were on your end.Im sure you want to remove this review. Also, I have not changed anything in my review, I only edit it to add to the review because you respond attempting to discredit what Ive wrote hoping to get the last word. Why dont you explain why you give no incentives and no hull numbers out, other than This is the way weve done it for 40 years??
I’ve been in this place more than once to look at a boat. The first time I just wondered around outside looking at various boats after like 20 minutes I left the place looked closed I came back to a month or so later same deal this time I contacted Lowe the third time much to my surprise they were actually open I went in and asked if we could put a larger live well in the boat I was looking at I got a very short and impatient no from the girl behind the counter that was it for me I went to bass pro and bought an equivalent boat from them. To me customer service is very key I constantly hear about how small businesses can’t compete with the big chain stores I get you can’t out price them however I personally would spend 500-1000 more if the customer service was actually there
Very knowledgeable, if they didn’t have what I needed She knew where to get it. Just got an old boat and needed some parts. Thanks for all the help, I will be back again.
Great people. Service quick and reasonably priced.
Great people. Family owned. Very helpful with better prices than anywhere else in Four States.
To correct Brad Harrisons review, first of all who you were talking to was the mechanic, not the owner, who was on lunch I might add...and he answered your technical question you were so adamantly asking while he was trying to eat his hamburger. We are a family operation and have been in business since 1979 and take pride of taking care of our customers through the years and continue to do so. We take misinformed reviews to the public like this seriously and will stand to correct it. Thank you and Happy Boating!
Very unhappy with my experience with this company. Not getting back to me, delaying information, it was all I could do to try to work something out but to NO AVAIL. I highly suggest going to a larger boat dealer, theyre going to have better pricing as well as better access to what you need. The other negative comments below are almost an exact experience that Ive had.
Always had great service from Marine Center! Usually a few days ahead of schedule but importantly the repairs are done right! Suzuki dealer as well. Great people.
I have always taken my 84 Champion to Kim and his crew. They have always fixed it the first time and reasonably priced! I took it in at 9am and was called the next day at 11am to pick it up. I have purchased fish finders there, bulk oil and never been treated anything but the best! They totally know how to fix a boat! A+
The younger cashier, I am guessing the daughter of the owner. She is very hateful very rude and racist. Calling customers idoits due to a mistake with a phone number. I will be taking my business else where.
I bought a brand new Lowe SS220 Pontoon from them. Had a minor electrical issue and the stereo speakers were damaged (I assume from people not watching their kids while boat shopping.) I called them and they brought it in immediately and fixed the issues. When I bought it they threw in the Merc 150 upgrade and mounted my Lowrance for free. After having it on the water the Merc was blowing out at times on normal plain. They took it in, consulted with Lowe and put an extension on the lower unit. They were EXCEPTIONAL with the few issues I had on that boat and went WELL out of their way to confirm the performance issues I had wasnt just how I was driving or had the trim set or whatever as I already knew those werent the issue. Ive never had service done there but my next boat will be from them for sure. (and soon Ms. Cindy!! That SD outside the office is looking sharp)
Eric Palicki is wrong. All of our boats are clearly marked with a tag on the front with the price. He wanted a 14 foot boat for a 10 footer price and we explained to him that. He threw a fit demanding we sell it to him for $500 and we refused. Been in business since 1979 because we don’t cheat anyone and take pride in our work and business.
The best boat shop have been using them for the last five years. They have all been great and good service. Thank you
I dont appreciate the way u treated my friends...it is 2020, we do not do people that way...
Where is this sweet lady named Cindy that works there its hes very pretty
Very rude I will never take my boat there .
Best place to buy a boat. Go in and see Cindy.
Good people to do business with.
Went to see about getting help. Asked a few queation the cashier was very hateful eye rolling. I took my business else where
Wish I could give 0 stars!! EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!!!!! Was asking a simple question about something and the owner sat in his chair eating his hamburger not even looking at me and said NO! No reason, no explanation, no help, NOTHING!!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Been there a few times over the years to have my motor serviced and they were RUDE then too. Just thought they were having a bad day then and tried them again. I will NEVER go back there again and will keep taking my business to the guys in Grove, OK. Wish a good Marine mechanic would open up a place in Joplin and provide good service and put these RUDE jokers out of business!!!!!!!!!!
Ill corroborate Brad Harrisons review... I just called to see if I could get my boat in for service. As I was telling the lady who answered the phone what I had she interrupted me and said Sir, everyone is out to lunch youll have to call back. If the person who is answering the phones cant even set a simply service appointment then why is she even answering the phones to begin with??? I should have just taken my business out of town to begin with.
Very few employees on the job no help that day
Good people.
They are some of the rudest people I have tried to work with. They would not help in any way to get my warranty issues resolved.
Very friendly, knew what parts I needed!
Good service
May want to fix your web link it goes to Marines site
Theyve done ok by me
Great people
Not too friendly.
