Was cool π. People were helpful. Hehehe even though we were just looking around. π I think its nice. You dont see customer service like that very often
Every home depot is different, I have been to some really terrible ones in California cities, but this one goes above and beyond any home depot I have ever been in. They do very well at keeping stocked, and the app is a complete game changer for shopping. The staff is always friendly and helpful and will go way out of their way to make sure you find what you need, and will do everything possible to not inconvenience you. They also have the cleanest public bathrooms I have ever seen anywhere, period.
I love the BOPUS ordering, but Home Depot is always under-staffed. The staff I have found is helpful, but way too few of them. Home Depot needs to pay a living wage and hire enough people to run the store and help customers effectively. Until you do that, COSTCO next door will continue to steal your best staff and you will never have the staff you need to stock the store, help customers, and staff the POS systems. $12/hr in Alaska is shameful and is the starting point to understand why people hate shopping HD due to perpetual staffing shortages.
I have been struggling for days to find the right screws for the kickplate for a dishwasher. I had lost the screws and had been going back-and-forth to Home Depot buying all the screws I could find that might possibly fit it and then returning them when they donβt and trying again. I went back to talk to the guys from appliance center. And Josh became my newfound hero today. He was able to find out what screws I needed and get them for me. Without him I wouldnβt of been able to do this. As they are a Unique type of screw specific to this machine
Typical big box store. One employee had no idea what i asked for (a bottle of 4-in-1 Oil), two others felt I could find it in automotive, but didnβt offer to help find it when I said I had already looked. Finally, one person found where it was supposed to be, but they were out.
I wouldve given 5 starts except for the store employees following me around the store like I was going to either steal something or rob the place, it was demeaning to be thought of that way without any provocation. Ok the other hand when I did need assistance I didnt have to go far for an employee! LOL
Did not have PVC piping and they do not know when the next shipment will arrive.
DEE was alot of help in appliances
If the neighborhood stores dont have what you need, Home Depot usually does have what you need for home, work and garden.
Everything in need at a low price usually. I will note that all lumber should be bought somewhere else. About double the price at home depot compared to Valley Lumber or Don Able.
Juneau Home Depot is the worst ever my husband and I went to look at dryers waited for over 30 minute the only employee that helped us just laughed and said I will get sombody nobody showed up I was ready to make a big purchase but gave up every time I go to home depot nobody helps yo u or they dont no were any thing is, they really need more training and better managers they did this to my Dad years ago he said he would never go back and he never did get with it people!!!!
I found what I needed. No staff was around to help customers. I had to call the store to get help
They were very helpful. In and out. Had the flooring I needed in stock.
A young man named Erik persevered when the plumbing item I wanted wasnt in the bin where it was supposed to be. He He search the boxes above the shelves until he found it. This was the best service Ive ever had at Home Depot. Thank you Erik!
Went up to the customer service window to ask a question. The associate was apparently not aware that I was standing there 64. Two minutes later, still no can I help you sir. Very disappointed let alone there are at least 80 associates apparently also not aware of there customers. Very very poor customer service at best.
Love there sale
Was helped by an employee named ricky, very good customer service. He helped me find exactly what I needed for my diy project and was very polite and well mannered. However the shelves seemed to be quite unstocked and under maintaned and the mens bathroom was out of soap.
Great place to have your supplies for your projects. The associates should be better trained in knowledge of the products they sell
Generally its fine. The staff are always helpful when they can be. Sometimes stuff is just out of stock and theres not much they can do about it. Just what comes with living in Juneau, Alaska. Ive never had anyone be rude to me, but most of the employees end up pointing to one or two others who would be more appropriate to help me with any questions, and usually theyre uncertain too. It seems like theyre always understaffed too. But, its home depot, not a team of unionized specialists.I feel like they caved in the name of profit for the poor Covid-19 safety measures they took. Like having everyone enter through only a single door so they could count how many people were inside at once. Except nobody was counting and it just made us crowd each other when entering. Then they didnt enforce social distancing inside, wear PPE, or ask customers to. Corporate greed won the day for a place that has no major competitors in the city. Ive seen plenty of customers in there with masks, so I cant imagine the whiplash wouldve been all that horrible. And its not like we can boycott them--our only other options are to pay 50% more elsewhere.
I mean, all Home Depots Ive been in are pretty much the same. Im still finding my way around this place, but the people that work here are so helpful and are always willing to help you find what youre looking for.
Made an online order for pickup in the store. On the second day of the order not being ready, I went in and was told their system was down. Ok fine next day I get a call and am told the in-stock items I had purchased were actually not in stock. Had to order items from out of town. Had their computer system been working or their inventory system been functional my project wouldnt be more than a week behind schedule. Lets do this ha!
Some staff are very friendly. Although ive noticed some staff seem to have alot on there minds! Ive asked passing clerks for assistance and kindsla blew past me! But the other 80 percent on the staff were very helpful and very kind! Thankyou home depot.
Home Depot has a large assortment, but dont expect much from the sales staff. I do research on line. Read reviews and product info before going to the store. I even find the locations of items before visiting rather than relying on staff at store who are seldom informed.
Great selection of items and well organized; its a life-saver on getting home improvement projects done fast. Only negative is the majority of employees are not very knowledgeable about home improvement or their stores own inventory. There are a few knowledgeable employees here but you have to know who to talk to.Tip: Just download the Home Depot app and use that to find items in the store rather than asking the nearest employee.
The in-person, go-to store in Juneau for the latest tools and supplies. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Find servers but overall home depots quality is lower than it needs to be
Huge shout-out to Steve and Zach today...we had SO many questions and we were needy and awful. Those two were so great! Helpful, professional and super friendly!
Great selection and not overpriced like many Supply businesses are around here.
Its your basic home depot. Staff is helpful, but be ready for the usual Alaska waits. Even though they are huge they dont always have what you need and orders take a while. Although I love to support local vendors you cant beat home depot on price and selection.
This Home Depot Has Everything Underneath
Anytime you want to feel like the smartest person in the room, look no further
Coming from a place where theres only one Mom and Pop hardware store, Home Depot is like a dream come true. Everything you can think of at nice prices.
Store is horrible. No help and if you do, they have to ask someone else and usually they never come back. Will go elsewhere or only go if its the only place that carries it and so far ACE Hardware is a great alternative.
They were helpful.
All your family and household stuff ππ²
The only big box store in town. Its difficult to find knowledgeable staff, some are very helpful. Most are as lost as most customers..if u need it you will go..
Bad service workers just walking around not helping people got to find everything yourself
This place really bites me every time I visit. I live in a village and I call ahead many of the times to make sure that they have the items Id need. Nope not yet and no one knows what aisle to send me to so I ask and ask and 9 times out of ten they are wrong!
Great place to shop
Sorry for the 2 but the company doesnt keep their website up to date. Ended up spending way more money because of this.
Massive store with inventory
It was great.yes they were very helpful. I would go back again. Non
Come for the home, stay for the depot.
Lots of helpful sales associates and a variety of of items .
My shopping experience went well. I was able to get what I needed. Customer service was very friendly.
Disappointed that items ie refrigerators, stoves, etc all have to be ordered which takes forever. NO PURCHASING ITEMS ON DISPLAY
The prices are good, but the customer service could use a bit of work. They offer lots of items that you might need when taking care of or building your home. Overall I give it a 4 star rating.
Home depot is a beacon of light in Juneau. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Whenever we have a question, the staff member always knows the answer or finds out. Kudos for marvelous customer service and needed products!
Its your usual, run of the mill Home Depot. Its well kept and clean, but we can never find an associate when we need help and when we do they tell us they dont work that department. Also, it seems their table and chop saws are always out of order due to being broken or dull blades...dont they have replacement saws and blades a couple aisles down? haha
Horrible customer service......I went out of my way to go to Home Depot to speak to a βPro Associateβ on a simple question about a large purchase I made through Home Depot. I had called and waited a week for a response back from a pro specialist. I finally just went directly to the store for help only to speak to a βPro Account Sales Associateβ who was blatantly rude and raised his voice as if he was angry for no reason. When I came in for an answer on my question he immediately went off on me how this is βHIS STOREβ after I had made a huge purchase through Home Depot and needed help. It was a question he literally could have simply answered no to, and instead made a huge deal about it in front of other customers and his coworkers. It was very unprofessional and humiliating. There is NO REASON a βpro specialistβ should be raising their voice at a customer for asking a question!
One of the only lumber stores in town prices are a little steep
Store has a good selection of products, what you would expect from a Home Depot. Excellent customer service. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to help package purchased items that were going to be freighted out of Juneau.
Its another sad visit to Home Depot Juneau. While trying to buy an outdoor play set for my child. 1. First employee acts dumb and does nothing to help with purchase of product or accessories. Second employee looms around store and totally disappears. Third employee is helpful but can not find accessories that are listed as in stock. Forth employee walks up and comments Good luck finding that when he was not even part of the transaction. Last employee is helpful at the service desk. 2. Home Depot online and on store computers shows no less than 3 different models of child swings available and no one has any idea where they are so I am told they never existed. 3. I want the slide accessory for the play set. They dont have it in stock, it appears to have recently been sold. No one can tell me if it will reorder automatically or what the status of a normal inventory item will be. If I special order it the time frame is 4 to 6 weeks. This is the typical service I get from this Home Depot every time I make a big purchase. Nothing is smooth with the customer experiance in this store.
Absolutely the most amazing Customer Service well beyond the levels of anywhere else in Juneau. Marie not only showed me where to find the dowels I needed to set up a bunk bed set, but also found me the tools I needed that were the most economical. Very impredsed
Horrible customer service. Couldnt get help when in was trying. Was sent to 3 different areas for them to help me online order and then was told to just do it myself. Camela was rude and acted like I was dumb for asking a question. Will avoid at alll costs, was going to order but will bring my business elsewhere
Got what we needed in record time
Great place. I wish I had more money. So many project ideas. My kids really enjoy the Saturday kid crafts.
Always a great place to shop for tools and things
The prices are good and customer service.
We love having Home Depot here in Juneau. They offer a full line of home and building materials that would not be easily sourced here without Home Depot. Pricing is most reasonable and staff is pleasant.
Local staffers hate answering their departments phones; if you need advice or product information, drive to the store and get it for yourself.Product delivery service is chaotic, expensive and not very dependable. On the plus side, they have a several very knowledgeable department heads and senior employees who are well trained, and well seasoned with practical experience; but my heart goes out to anyone dependent upon a phone conversation to get things done in general.
I am extremely disappointed, my family and I were shopping at home depot, we had our baby with us and we were heading to the family bathroom to change the baby. An employee seen us coming down the hallway... threw his apron down and locked himself in the bathroom for 15 minutes. I looked at his apron and his name was Beans. How appropriate. I thought this was incredible rude for an employee to purposely take cut off a customer ... especially with a baby.
Good luck finding someone to assist you and dont even try to special order anything.
Staff very eager to help...
The Walmart of home improvement. Staff is omnipresent but largely ignorant. If you need help with something, google it before you go in the store, the answers online will be far more comprehensive and practical than anything anyone in the store is trained to tell you. The one plausible exception to this - Alaska specific code - they are trained not to help you with because they dont want to accept liability for dispensing advice that specific. If you need special order merchandise, dont let the prices lure you in. Youll be waiting 4+ weeks for an item that is almost certainly going to come in damaged, or wont be the right item / right specifications. Dont have to read too many reviews to learn that part....Also, its probably not worth your time buying lumber or building materials. That entire departments merchandise is left outside in all weather conditions, leading to boards warping and concrete bags hardening. You might save some money on these products, but you will have to spend your own time culling the lumber and digging to the bottom of pallets to find usable product. Cant even get around this problem by using their buy online, pick up in store options - they will happily sell you warped lumber and rock hard concrete as they will not cull the product on your behalf. As a final note - if you use their website to gauge inventory levels for a product you need, dont believe anything from them over the phone or online until youre physically holding the product in your hand. Their inventory is notoriously inaccurate.
Order and delivery went well. I live in Alaska and the shipment to Seattle missed the barge to Juneau. I was called and told about the delay... I found the level of service to be good...
Great store good managers . Short in staff but hey its Juneau. I been here 3 years and I out of all people know that nothing gets done fast here because I chose to live here . So consequences are that all of us have to wait no matter what . I am grateful that there is a Home Depot here . Not many sit and think what if we didnt have one then what. Besides I dont rush because theres not much to do here everythings 20 minutes away tops 30 on a busy day . So I appreciate anything they can do for me even if it takes weeks or months . Is not their fault that things dont get here fast or in great condition when they work with third parties companies where they dont have control of transportation time or weather conditions. I waited 2 months for my stove it was dented then I got a second one they actually helped . So thank you just for been here . If not God knows where would i buy any appliances or be able to speak to someone in person.
Was able to purchase almost everything we needed. Ice melts PUT OF STOCK (during winter time?) And the staff was not very knowledgeable of their products.
Walked the store for an hour, never to see an employee once for help. Then stood in front of the customer service desk, where I was the only customer and the lady at the desk looked at me and ignored me the whole time. The store manager should be ashamed about the lack of customer service in that store. Guess it is better to shop online. Im sadden by the experience.
Without a doubt the most poorly managed HD store ive ever been in, and ive been in quite a few. Listless employees who view your question as an irritation, give you half an answer, or negative body language if you interrupt their conversation with a co worker. This is not just from one visit, but nearly every time i go. I have sinced learned over multiple visits to seek out and sometimes wait a considerable time to engage those few that do actually want to be helpful, sometimes on the other end of the store. Home Depot if you are listening send some secret shoppers after 5pm on a weeday and see that if what i say is true.
Its homedepot.
Got it all
Home Depot brings the bargain back to the home owner.but the lack of customer service and friendly help is rare.
Zero. Thats what Home Depot customer service has earned. Ive been trying to get a warranty replacement for a broken window (broken in shipment) for FOUR MONTHS. Twice, after wait times twice as long as PROMISED, Home Depot has brought me the WRONG WINDOW. The first was rectangular (for an arched opening) and I had a Home Depot employee tell me that that was the ONLY OPTION for replacement (A LIE). The second was a single pane of glass, to replace what is supposed to be a double pane assembly. The last time I ordered from Home Depot a critical part was also damaged, which took SIX MONTHS to replace.ABSOLUTE INCOMPETENCE.
Store that has everything you need, staff is really friendly and helpfull! 10/10
Never ran into a store that locks its doors to people coming 20 minutes before they say they close. Its not at 8pm people its 7:40pm maybe sooner... WTH get it together!
Multiple problems, consistently...Poor stock. Wont Order in things off website( i.e. Carpet, rugs). Lost ordered items, damaged ordered items, recalled new appliances that no one seems to know how to deal with. Poor store layout. Very poor selection of lumber. Poorly trained, but very pleasant staff. Took weeks to get the paperwork done correctly to order a door that was then damaged, re-ordered and still not here. They are good on returns, they do offer separate co. Truck delivery on appliances.glad to have something here in Juneau, but very limited.
Excellent service and had almost everything we needed but to early for plants
Put in a request for curbside pick up...waited a while and no one brought product out. Went into the store and 5 employees were sitting in the curbside customer service area...not doing anything. Glad we went in, otherwise we would have been waiting forever!
If you want some nuts and bolts cheap, this place is okay. But beware of placing special orders! We ordered a garage door as well as interior doors and windows through Home Depot. After 12 weeks with multiple follow ups, it turns out the garage door order was never processed. I asked them to pull out my other doors for my contractor to pick up the next day. When he got there a window was ready and everything else was buried out back. When he went back later they forgot to give him one of the doors..doors...
Clean store.... no waiting in the line to check out.... Would definitely recommend it for any hardware needs....
Always love homedepot
Plenty of knowledgable staff, good prices for Juneau, nice alternative to over priced competitors.
It is amazing the lack of knowledge the employees posses. I was asking for a type of screw and the associate literally took out his phone and googled it on the home depot website to find the isle (P.s. I needed a fillips head wood screw. The most basic screw out there). Any time I visit this location they are either rude or completely oblivious. I am currently calling the store and Ive been waiting for someone to answer for over 15 minutes. I have to call because their online stock almost never reflects what they actually have in the store. No way they are THAT busy at 11am on a Thursday...Its a shame, Home Depot used to be one of my favorite stores! Id love to say that again.... step it up!
Big boy n girl work n play store. Helpful staff
Great staff, good selection and price, fantastic bathrooms!
Always friendly staff.
Good prices and good selection.
The best,, good people and simple pricing
Helpful staff
There was no one in the flooring dep I needed help no one in electrical needed help plumbing needed help and kitchen design no one anywhere even called out for help no one showed
Found what I wanted
Three phone calls, during one transfer a hang up. How am I suppose to build 6 + decks when no one is there to talk. Waste of time so far.
Both associates seemed annoyed by me, and my questions.
Devon was very helpful today!
Good knowledge resource
Didnt get my military discount after being told I would just carelessness.
Yikes guys. The check out stand team, 3 of them, had no idea what to do about a carpet missing a price tag. Like no idea. Maybe google it next time, team.
Have what you need
Staff didnt know where any of the products I needed were located in the store.
