Place is great in a pinch because they are open late but overpriced and filthy. The bottles could use a good dusting off which means theyve been sitting for a long time because the prices are too high.

Good selection, high prices, weird set up

The other day my wife and I went to A1A liquors, after an exhausting day of running errands. Before we even entered the store we noticed two employees,both male conversing. One of them presumably the manager, who was sitting on the counter saw us coming in he jumped down from his perch. The store was vacant minus the three people working including: the manager, The cashier, and a lady giving samples. Just moments after entering the building we realized that this manager was following us; everywhere we went there he was right behind us. I have never stolen anything in my whole life and it was obvious that this manager was following us he thought we would steal something. A white couple came into the store, just after we did and also witnessed what this manager was doing to us, the woman (from that couple) looked at us with disdain and tried to smile at us to console us. My wife and I continued to shop and couldnt find a certain item, and since he was already right behind us all we had to do was turn around and ask him for the item. He seemed puzzled as if what we were asking for did not exist. He said they didnt have it so I found an alternative product, but my wife began to search for a picture of the item on her smartphone. When we finished shopping we were escorted to the register by this manager. My wife eventually found a picture of the item we looking for and he assured us it was something he could order. When we left, this manager resumed his position on top of the counter and continued to converse with the other male employee. This proves that he only came to down to follow us around, because he just knew since were black we were coming in there steal. The irony to all this, I have been shopping here for a while and always felt watched but never this extreme, and this is a place I generally spend a substantial amount of money in each time. Its sad to see such ignorance and prejudice, but this store definitely lost me as a customer
