We bought a car from First National Auto after riding by on our bikes and spotting a nice mid size SUV on the lot. We hadn’t done any homework or even read any reviews (which only confirm our good experience) but right away Lee was friendly and professional and helpful. A refreshing departure from the dealership scene. Lee and his team (special thanks to Gino) went the extra mile to help us get the safety check and registration handled and we are happily driving our new, gently used and well- maintained, used car. A great experience all in all. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Title: BEAT THIS! Imagine the Aloha spirit from a pre-owned car dealership. Well, this is the place. Ive had the privilege of owning 67 vehicles from Corvettes, Porsches, Pantera, to Lotus and Audi TTs. I thought after three TTs Id try a BMW Z4. Both Audi TTs and Z4s are rare on island. Usually, I have to ship from the mainland at $2000. I only wanted white and the evening I decided a white one showed up from First National Auto Group. Heres the deal, although this was a rare find, Im still pretty picky and can be a jerk.Not only was the vehicle exactly what I wanted but the staff wouldnt allow me to be a jerk. Truly a dealership with the Aloha spirit. Yes, their goal is to be profitable, but integral to their sale is the customers satisfaction from a financial and product perspective. Thats part of their profit equation. The price was significantly more reasonable than any dealership in Honolulu. It is critical you also understand that their inventory is superior in quality.If youre really picky they have additional, reasonable services that will meet your specific needs.

Lee was awesome. Like most people my wife and I hate looking for new vehicles to purchase. We always feel like were getting the short end of the stick somehow. With Lee and First National Auto Group we actually felt like we got a really good deal and everything we wanted in a car. Easy to get a hold of. Fast to respond to questions. Wants to make it happen. Through the entire process, from walking onto the lot to driving off with my newly purchased vehicle, Lee made me feel like I was talking to a friend the entire time. He understands how the traditional car purchasing process usually is, yet his approach to customer satisfaction and paperwork processes is exceptional. This is not your typical stressful car dealership-bullying car-buying experience. This is a man who sells cars to people who want to buy cars on his lot, and he breaks down the paper trail and signing forms in a way that is easy to understand without feeling like there’s hidden language or “gotcha” clauses. We had an exceptional experience with First National Auto Group that I can’t say enough good things about the company, specifically Lee. The cars that he sells are newer therefore in great condition and super low miles. We bought a 2019 VW Jetta with just over 2,000 miles...what 2-year old vehicle has only 2k miles?! I am on island for just a few short months to care for a loved one and rental cars at this time have been very expensive and limited so the option to purchase a used vehicle was within our budget. Lee helped us find the right vehicle, allowed me to pay via a personal check, processed all of our paperwork with the DMV, and contacted us once he had all of the paperwork returned. (In the meantime, we kept the car) It was literally a 20 min process, 10 minutes to test drive the car and 10 min to fill out the paperwork. Time is valuable and I appreciated that it was a very quick and seamless process. I would highly recommend visiting First National Auto Group if you are in the market for a vehicle!

What a pleasant experience! This is only the second review I have ever done for any purchase Ive ever made, but I thought it was necessary. I loathe buying a car because of haggling with untrustworthy sales people. Not here! Working with Lee was like being helped by a good friend. This is so rare. Our car was exactly what we saw online and we are very happy with it. I like that they are selective about the cars they sell and they are serviced and taken care of. I usually to go CarMax on the mainland but since thats not available, do yourself a favor and see Lee at 1st National.

I can’t recommend Lee at first national auto group enough! I’ve been looking for a specific car for about a year now. Was about to take a trip to the mainland to try to ship one here but luckily found The exact one at first national auto group. They had the car priced really fair, and listed as a great deal according to CarGurus. I live on Maui, and called Lee right away And I’m so glad I did. On September 14th 2020, I attempted to negotiate with Lee Gerken over the via email due to the COVID pandemic. He told me we should wait until Emergency Order is over and to keep in contact with him so I could come in to take a look at the vehicle to see if it is the right vehicle for me. September 22nd 2020 I e-mailed him to set up an appointment for September 24th 2020. He the next day saying that he received an offer over the phone the day prior but if it falls through he would let me know. He refused to work with me over the phone/email but took an offer over the phone from someone else. Hypocritical and wasted my time to say the least...
