The smell of fresh bagels hits you when you walk in right away. Its better than a new car. The bagels are huge and delicious and remind me of growing up in Long Island going to a bagel shop. Owner and employees were extremely kind. We will be making this place a staple! Try the egg bagel, its one of my personal favorites. They are fluffy and not dense. The harvest wheat was outstanding as well!

This place is a classic breakfast favorite at our house. The bagels are delicious. Try the Sunrise sandwich with your favorite savory bagel. The quality is consistent over the years. They also make their own cream cheese spreads!

First visit, but will definitely return. Very popular bagel shop. 3 stars because inventory was low when I arrived at 915am plus I felt $3.19 + tax was a bit pricey for a bagel with flavored cream cheese. I will say the bagel was very good, the texture was perfect. We dined in and were served with sliced, toasted, blueberry bagels with the very berry cream cheese. I look forward to possibly trying other bagels in the future, if inventory is on hand.

We just went for lunch today here and hands down the best bagels I’ve had in Texas! We’ve been on the search since moving from the north, and I promise you won’t be disappointed. Fresh food, excellent service and great atmosphere! We will be regulars. :)

Actually very good for Texas, but this NYC/Chicago transplant is used to the best bagels on the planet or at least in my cities. Staff is helpful, friendly and efficient. Definitely going back, and relatively soon. RBK

Excellent bagels!!! I can not drive to Houston without stopping in Katy and having a lox bagel sandwich. Yummy! The staff is very friendly and professional. I freeze their bagels and once each month, I make my own smoked salmon bagel sandwich with my Costco smoked salmon. It’s one of our favorite meals. Great place! Great prices!

I’m a native New Yorker and we are bagel connoisseurs by nature. I am always on a mission for a good bagel. This is the best bagel I have had since I moved to TX. Of course I would find them when I’m trying to lose 50 pounds but this will be my cheat day spot.

The best bagel Ive had in a long time. Ive tried several of the flavors. Have not had one I didnt like. Some are on my list to try. They sell out fast on some of the popular flavors. Early buyer gets the bagel of choice. See ya there ;)

Bagel Cafe is a wonderful small business and integral part of the community Michelle feels like an aunt to me. I was VERY sad to learn today that she had sold the business but was glad to learn she is staying to manage it. The new owner (Mike I believe) seems like a good guy and very passionate.Their food is excellent and I understand there are no plans to change the ingredients so thats good news.Joey, Thomas, and Michelle are all soo special! Had a bagel craving this morning and I was out of my usual neighborhood. Hit the map, searched bagels and found this semi-hidden gem off Mason Road. Clean restaurant, super friendly staff and delicious bagels. They even have a smoothie bar for the “health-conscious,” but let’s get back to bagels. They had a wide variety; I got the Everything with the chive cream cheese. The counter person was super friendly and we discussed the art of tattoos and my bagel was ready in a heartbeat. It was delicious! If you find yourself in the east side of Katy (or the west side of Houston) stop in for some bagels.

This place was so amazing and delicious! I didn’t think my one issue was enough to lower it down to four stars but one of their bagels will totally give you a sodium overdose. Granted it was called the salt bagel, but in the photo that is how much salt we took off of that exact piece. I would recommend If you are eating that one, grab some water, you’ll need it. Other than that, all of the bagels are totally delicious, savory or sweet. The cream cheeses are delicious as well, and they add a great addition to any of the bagels. Would definitely recommend going to this cute little café!

Great local place to get yummy bagles, muffins and more! We love coming here. Ive had the breakfast bagel sandwich on a Asiago bagel and chocolate chip muffin. All very good.

Feeling ashamed I havent written a review here before but lets keep this short and sweet, especially sweet, because they now have Venetian cookies here too!! Only 1.5$ for 2 bars, considering the labor that goes into them, thats a great price; if you like marzipan (almond paste) you will love these if youve never had them (we call them rainbow cookies in the states, but this is the Italian version)! But their bagels are the best you can get in terms of flavor, texture and particularly freshness. Panera who? Yea, way better, but maybe not as convenient as this is the only location and they close at 2pm, bummer! And they take their uneaten bagels and turn them to bagel chips (highly recommend) which are from all the different flavors available, wellI, the ones that didnt sell anyway. They have a lot of tasty sandwiches but their bread and butter (sorry) is breakfast related stuff obviously. Did I mention how exceedingly friendly they always are? Do try, they will not disappoint!

Very good bagels, but horrible customers service and business culture.A half dozen bagels $7.09 - get an extra one free, so $1.01 per bagel.. One bagel with lox cream cheese -$2.99. Can you please slice one of my seven bagels and put lox cream cheese on it for what ever price - (like $2.99_$1.01 = $1.98 for cream cheese)? - No we dont do that. You have to buy another bagel with the cream cheese. Ill pay you for the extra cream cheese just tell me what it costs. No - we dont do that. I dont want 8 bagels. Ill have a hard time eating 7 before they go bad - I just want one of the seven with cream cheese to eat now, not an additional bagel. Why in heavens name would you not put cream cheese on a bagel like you do hundreds of times a day for what ever price and make a little more money. The guy was agitated because I couldnt understand why, and he couldnt tell me other that its just the way we do it. Its crazy! Ive been in the restaurant and hospitality business. I would never run a customer off because I have arbitrarily decided I dont do something - something that I do hundreds of times every day. Good bagels - but Ill drive to Einsteins Bagels until their Katy store opens.

The Bagel Cafe is a local gem! Their bagels are so fresh and delicious! Their fresh made cream cheese flavors are the perfect pair to their bagel selection. Sweet to savory, they have it all! My family loves coming here after a Saturday morning bike ride. My favorite savory selection is the wheat bagel with garden veggie cream cheese or the bacon bagel melt, sub cheddar cheese for garden veggie cream cheese.They serve Katz coffee which is always great!The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant and peaceful. The owner does an amazing job of supporting her community. Do yourself a favor and support the Bagel Cafe!

We used to love this place. Today, however, I stopped in because I was in the area and grabbed a half dozen everything bagels. The only bagels we like. The lady at the counter lectured me for ordering 6 (SIX! Not 60. 6!) of the same kind and instructed me to call ahead the day before next time so they could make extra. Lol. I explained I didn’t know I’d be in the area and she proceeded to say it would ‘really just help us out.’ When I was done paying and about to leave she reminded me again to call ahead. The everything bagel bin was practically full around 9 am when I stopped in. I hope this was a one off experience.

I finally went here for bagels and I regret I did not go years earlier. I am in love with these bagels. They are so yummy and I haven’t had a good bagel since moving to Katy in 2009. The veggie cream cheese on an everything bagel or the Maple walnut raisin cream cheese on the raisin were delicious. I had also ordered a large fruit tray and the fruit was beautiful. Delicious grapes! Beautifully arranged. I must go back and try the other menu items .

Good bagels, though they seem to make them 2 at a time. They are usually not warm, but they are authentic. The shop closes early, so be sure to get there first thing in the morning. I think this shop could do a lot more business than they do.

Really enjoyed eating here. The flavorful cream cheese on a warm bagel, yum. The Cinnamon rolls are nummy too.

Amazing bagels. My sister actually sent me some of these bagels when I lived in Colorado and now that Im back in Houston Im glad that they have this place right down the street from where I live.

A clean, friendly, local place to pick up a bagel and a coffee. 6 bar stools by the window, 11 tables for 2 on one side (that are movable so you can meet with a group of friends), and a number of booths on the other side as well. Most importantly, the bagels are fresh and tasty and coffee fine. This cafe tucked in the corner of one of the many strip malls on South Mason is a Katy local gem.

I absolutely love bagel cafe, they have super fresh bagels and a huge variety of flavours, but my absolute favorite part is their cream cheese its silky smooth and like no cream cheese Ive ever tasted before. Although I dont recommend getting an everything bagel, or any other bagel with onion on it if your going to get a different kind as well. They use the se knife to cut all of your bagels so the onion flavor will be on all your bagels. My personal favorite bagel to get a the bagel cafe is the french toast bagel it is just AMAZING. 😋❤️🥯

First time visitor today. Ordered the Reuben sandwich with a side of bagel chips. Meal was ready quickly and the sandwich was delicious. The cream cheese/chive spread that came with the bagel chips was NICE!!!!!! Also, sampled the tomato basil soup. Best I have ever had. Was served hot and was packed with flavor. You can really tell that you are getting homemade food. Just a great overall experience. Super friendly and efficient staff. Clean and inviting restaurant. I will be back often to try other items on the menu. Highly recommend this place. It doesnt disappoint.

Was made to feel bad after I asked the female employee to use a glove other than the one she had been wearing to disinfect the display cases. You don’t handle food after handling disinfectant - it’s as simple as that. The kicker was that she yelled ‘have a good day’ to me upon my exit - in front of other customers. I won’t be back - disappointing as the bagels are good. Totally unprofessional.

I got the club sandwich on a ciabatta bun and it was delicious. All the meats were flavorful and tender. The bread was incredible. The red pepper aioli was also very good. This was my first time here and I cant wait to go back.

Delicious!! Hidden gem! I want to try everything on the menu!! The tomato basil soup was the best (HANDS DOWN) that I have EVER had! The Chicken Breast Focaccia was served hot and delicious! The chive cream cheese with bagel chips were a great compliment to my meal! The prices where great very reasonable. My family will definitely go back! I also plan on bringing clients there as well to share the experience. Staff and owner were AWESOME and super friendly! If you haven’t been you are missing out!!

I have had bagels in Manhattan. This place keeps up. Best cream cheese mixes I have ever had. The sandwiches are amazing. The onion bagel is my favorite Get there early it sells out. We use them anytime we can at the See TIM Sell team. Pick up a dozen and make the whole family happy

Great Bagels! My husband and I both really enjoyed what we got. Staff is very friendly also. I noticed some reviews saying that the pricing is kind of high, but I disagree. Very comparable pricing to anywhere Ive been, if not less, and they offer a great selection.

Great bagels and lots of variety

The closest I’ve had to a New York bagel since I was in NYC this time last year. Not quite on the same level, but still very delicious. We ordered the lox bagel with all the toppings and a chocolate chip bagel with cream cheese. Will certainly be returning!

This place has the best bagels in the entire Sugarland area, and theyre not even expensive! I love coming here, and usually make it in at least once a week. Its fantastic.

The bagels taste freshly baked. My favorite bagel sandwiches are the sunrise (sausage and egg) and the lox. The coffee is passable. The service is friendly and prompt. As an aside, its strange to me that Katy has very limited options for bagel shops, even fast food options. Bagel sandwiches are one of the most satisfying breakfast foods!

Ive been meaning to have a quick lunch here for a long time and Im so glad I finally did. I had the 4 cheese panini and a fresh lemonade and both were so good. My husband loves bagels and lox, so he tried BCs bagels and lox and said they were excellent. Were coming back ASAP!

Great Bagel shop in a small strip mall - easy to miss as it is all the way at the back!I am a regular at Einstein Bagel Bros but this one is different - in a nice way. Its a small store so it seems they make their cream cheeses on their own! I had the Sunrise breakfast bagel (egg, cheese, sausage) but it had a sauce in it which made it super flavorful!DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this place!

These are the best bagels ever, fresh and soft, with delicious ingredients. Bagels with cheese have a whole slice of cheese on them. Coffee is also fantastic. Staff is friendly and helpful. We discovered this place a few years ago, and have not passed through the Houston area without stopping in since.

Had my second meal here today. Its been a while, and I had forgotten how good their Everything Bagel was! The tuna tasted fresh, and I dont know what that green dip was for the bagel chips, but it was delicious!To top in off, everyone there was VERY welcoming, especially Justin and Nikki! Thanks guys. Best place to get bagels and cream cheese in Katy hands down. They have excellent customer service and a huge variety of bagel flavors. You can order the bagels as breakfast sandwiches which is what I recommend. They have top quality black coffee to go along with their bagels. Get there early on the weekends before they start to run out of their made daily bagels and cream cheese.

This has become our favorite spot in Katy for breakfast / quick lunch. The bagels are PHENOMENAL! Every time I come in, I try something new and I am not disappointed. Not only great food but AMAZING customer service. From the moment we walked in Nicky was beyond sweet, super helpful and gave us great recommendations. When we walked in the second time she was so happy to see us, made us feel so very welcomed and felt like we were friends. This is such a gem in this part of Katy, Im so glad we stumbled upon them. Im already looking forward to our next time.

Local & friendly. Perfectly reasonable prices. There are both sweet and savory bagels and bagel sandwiches, delicious. There are also great sandwhiches, I reccomend the Chicken Italiano. There are usually 3 different varieties of coffee that are all great. The bathrooms are very nice and clean.
