I first visited Absolute Tobacco just before the pandemic hit in early 2020. I haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy a cigar in the lounge, but the selection in the humidor is excellent. The owner is hesitant to give direct advice on what you should choose, but this is due to the wide variety of top notch cigars he carries. To paraphrase him, “Everything I carry is good.” If you’re looking for a top notch cigar that you won’t find anywhere else, try one of his house brand cigars.

Owner can project a jerk vibe. I’m not sure this is intentional or unintentional. In my case it could be either. But this is immaterial to me. His selection is top notch and he knows his stuff on every question I’ve ever asked him. So that is all I really need in a local tobacco shop.

Manager guy is very knowledgeable and cool to speak with. Nice selection. Humidor is on point. Chill place to hang out for a bit.

Amazing collection of cigars, if you dont know what youre looking for this place is a great place to start. The employees will describe anything your curious about and even gone you helpful tips and tricks. They will show you the latest in cigar and pipe innovations as well as if its not busy they will sit and smoke a cigar with you. Pool table, TVs and comfy seating.

I have a family friend we often visit. So we happen to visit them during the holidays. The husband enjoys Dominican Cigars. So I went to my local cigar shop. Which so happen to be Absolute Cigars. The shop has a nice set up. The man that helped me pointed me in the right area of Dominican cigars and pointed out his favorite smoke. I got 2 cigars he suggested at a nice price which turned out to be a very good smoke! Ill be coming in for some more Cigars.

Owner is knowledgeable and helpful even for a newbie like myself. Very casual and relaxed environment. I purchased my first pipe here about a year ago and have just recently began into the world of cigars. They are always helpful. They also sell empty cigar boxes at $5 each for charity. Really cool place

Great selection of pipe tobacco. Friendly staff, and fair prices. I was in and out in 10 minutes, but only because I spent the first 8 minutes browsing the many varieties. Good stuff.

Owner guy running the place is unfriendly, grouchy, y unknowledgeable, had his place set up for guests to enter and smoke in the lounge and once I made my way in, picked a cigar, and as I am paying I asked where I may sit he declined me and told me no spot is open inside.If we aren’t gonna do it right, don’t do it at all.

Pipe tobacco selection is great but avoid the humidor. I purchased a cigar that was severely dehydrated and the store would not honor an exchange or refund on the unsmokable cigar. Gentleman who runs the place said there was nothing he could do. Seeing as he owns the place that is code for “ I don’t want to”. Even offered to bring it in for him to see it and he said not to because it wouldn’t change anything.

Im not a cigar smoker myself, but one of my dear friends is. I had purchased a second-hand humidor from someone that was in good condition, but needed a new humidity control system. I called Absolute Tobacco and spoke with Rico, who was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. Not only did he have the replacement parts I needed in stock, he told me to bring the humidor in to the shop and he would help me get it set up. He went above and beyond in showing me how to season the box and install the parts. Highly recommend this place! Great customer service. Thank you so much!

Awesome place the owner is a great person and Rico is an excellent guy, he knows a lot an he will give you excellent recommendations. An excellent place to spend some time and smoke a good cigar. I will continue to go there. EXCELLENT.

Great place to buy a top notch cigar, sit quietly and read or strike up a friendly conversation. I have only been smoking cigars a year or so and they love to help and educate you on selection, terminology and flavors. I feel lucky to have such a great place so close to home.

I walked into Absolute Tobacco and immediately felt like I was intruding. First, I told the guy behind the counter (Who was fixing a cigar cutter and never looked up) that I needed some humidor solution. He simply pointed in the direction that it was located and left me to fend for myself. I had brought the humidor with me to ask his advice on the best way to season it. I opened it to reveal some very high quality Cuban cigars that I had just carried back to America only to hear him say, Eh, Im not a big fan. I finally got him to stop what he was doing and give me a quick tutorial on seasoning the humidor. Finally, after purchasing a few items which came out to over $50, I asked if he had a bag. He reaches under the counter and pulls out a plastic Kroger shopping bag and dumps my purchase into it! I WILL NEVER, EVER BE RETURNING TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

I went to get emptycigar boxes guy wanted $5 a piece. He said it was for charity when I asked him the name of it he didnt know. Whats that say to you? $3 everywhere else.

I travel around Houston working for my Siding and Window Company, Save On Siding & Windows. In my daily travels I often have a few minutes to just stop in at a local coffee shop, electronics store or Cigar lounge. I googled Cigars Katy and I got this place as the top result. The other results were very disappointing. Most of them looked like glass pipe stores catering to people who DO NOT smoke tobacco.I was so impressed with Absolute Cigars of Katy! Their place is in a Class A shopping center among a nice grocery store, several nice restaurants and some retail stores. When I came in I was promptly greeted but then allowed to explore the humidor at my own pace. (Some cigar owners tag along and try to pressure you into buying something but these people were just the way I like it).I found a Kristoff Maduro Corona I liked and grabbed my laptop, my wifi and a soda. I smoked the cigar in the comfort of an oversized leather chair in a spotless lounge seating area and met three guys who were glad to carry on a friendly discussion about motorcycles, bands, local alligator problems and the weather.The man who appeared to be the owner was also very friendly and made sure the smoke eaters were on high speed. (I like it when I do not have to burn my clothes after I leave a cigar store).The room was comfortable, they have a clean restroom, ample parking and an on-your-honor water and soda selection in a small refrigerator.One correction to the Google listing: This is not a liquor store. They do not sell or serve any alcohol but they do allow you to bring in your own.I give this place an overall 5 stars for providing exactly what I think a good cigar shop should provide. Great cigars, great environment and great service. (Prices are more competitive than lesser places I have been to).If you enjoy a cigar often or if you are just an occasional cigar smoker you will find yourself having a great experience at Absolute Cigars.

Let me start off with the bad. When you first walk in everything seems to be mismatched and in disarray. When you think cigars you think high end.Having said that ....the humidor was excellent...selection/quality/cleanliness - top notch, the lounge area looks like it was thrown together in an attempt to create a craigslist man cave - but it works!! The seats are roomy and have that sink in quality you expect from a leather smoking chair. You dont feel like you have to use big words when consorting with fellow patrons or wear a damn suit to smoke there. I enjoyed a great smoke here when i was in katy looking for a place to move in june. I wasnt there more than 15 minutes before i felt like i was smoking a stogie right at home. At least now i know where i can go to enjoy a good smoke!!! I plan on becoming a regular. And a big THANK YOU to Absolute Tabacco for providing us regular guys with this great place!!!!
