Entered bookstore hoping to find a recent book from a conservative author for my fathers 80th birthday. I had a few in mind, but any book written by a conservative author would suffice! Literally wandered around for ten minutes and every political book in the store was anti-Trump, anti-conservative, etc., etc. Shelves were loaded with liberal figures, Staci Abrams, Barack Obama, Robert De Niro, Trump Haters and so on! In addition, not one time did the young lady that was working ask if I needed any help, apparently she could sense that I was a crazed conservative! Carry whatever books you want, but at least change your name to match your inventory! May I suggest, The Liberal Closet, or perhaps The Democrats Delight.

I love this store a lot, and normally I have a good experience shopping here, but today was quite different. I grabbed a few items I found interesting out of the clearance bins and went to check out, and I asked if they take cards. The lady at the register said only for purchases $5 and up, and I didnt have any cash on hand. I told her this and apologized because I couldnt pay for it, and she replied in a snarky tone You SERIOUSLY dont have ANY cash? And I said no once again, but she just said in the same tone REALLY? Ill just go put these away then.Being someone who also works in retail, I know that that isnt how you should treat a customer who is unable to pay for something using a certain method. I appreciate her telling me that they only take card for a certain amount so then I know for the future, but I dont appreciate being criticized for not having any cash with me. A sorry for the inconvenience would have been much nicer.

Ive loved this shop for so long! The genuine care and compassion of the employees and the wonderful selection of books make this a must in the Kearney area! I was really fascinated with this place. It was easy to locate and the place was well kept. Books were organized and not dusty. Prices were great too and staffs were friendly.

I cannot speak highly enough of the selection, staff, and quality of service Ive received at The Sequel Bookshop! And the online ordering or a phone call work very smoothly when Ive been unable physically to go to the store. The store is very clean, quiet, and well designed. I am greeted and offered assistance, and then left to browse at my leisure yet know that staff is readily available to help. I strongly urge people have The Sequel Bookshop experience! Help keep our bookstores (especially the independents) going strong!

I absolutely LOVE this bookstore! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and able to assist any patron in finding the perfect gift or the next book on their reading list. I could easily spend more than an hour browsing their selections!

The Sequel Bookshop has an amazing array of books for sale. Upon browsing, I realized there many of the titles that I would never have known to enter into a book search on Amazon or Google Books. There is something special about browsing in a bricks and mortar bookshop and Lisa and her staff make it even more fulfilling. (p.s. - she engages many of the authors and is very author friendly. I absolutely love this bobookshop. I honestly wouldnt go to any other one. I can order a book and it will be there in a short amount of time. And the pricing is very fair. They also have great books for children. :) I have bought my child many books from there that I read when I was a child.

I have only been there once. Service was terrible. I had to find what I was looking for by myself and the prices come on. All I wanted was a book light at the store it goes for 60 bucks. Like come on man. 😑😐

OMG A Bookstore, and honest to goodness, old fashioned, proper book store! What a joy it was to browse the numerous isles filled with all sorts of goodies. I loved the different sections, I sent my kids over to their section, they had a blast. The people were so nice, and helpful. Made my kids feel great about their selections and reinforced how awesome it is to read. Never felt rushed, nor abandoned by staff. Very professional, very knowledgeable. Cant wait for the Harry Potter book release!!

A magical little store💜 They almost always have the book Im looking for and if not are more than willing to get it in for me. I would give them another star if I could because their customer service is so wonderful.

I was greeted right away. Staff is always ready to help when asked, or just let you browse when tou desire. They will lookup and special order. Great, friendly, local bookstore.

I have never been treated so rudely. I was greeted when I walked into the store but when I asked for help the sales clerk turned and walked away. I found what I was looking for but the service at the register was even worse. My hands were full and the sales clerk kind of tossed my change on the counter. I will find something else on my grandsons Christmas list before I will ever shop there again.
