Great experience. I was looking for hardware for my standing jewelry armoire that had gotten lost in a recent move. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and asked if they could help me. Extremely nice and welcoming employees. A young man found what I needed at a reasonable price and I was elated as I’d about given up finding something to fit. You can tell that the employees like their job, they are jovial and I’ll definitely be back. Kudos to a job well done.

One star for the very large selection of the hardware store.Negative 5 because their dry food warehouse is infested with bugs. When I called to speak with the manager instead of offering to make it right by offering me a refund he told me that everybody everywhere dry food is infested with some sort of bug its just how it is. I have shopped at at least four other feed stores and never had this problem. I wont be going back or suggesting this store to anybody.If you buy feed from this store I highly suggest that you dont bring it in to your own storage as it will spread and infest all of your other dried goods.

Outstanding service and they have EVERYTHING inside. I got two of my propane tanks filled. This place is a feed store, a pet accessories store, a true old fashioned hardware store with bulk screws sold by the pound, a garden store with seeds and soil and such and they rent trailers. Surprisingly decent amount of equine stuff. Some of it was a bit dirty and unorganized, hence the 4 stars. But most of the prices were good and the staff is really helpful.

Always excellent service

Bought (6) $12 coastal bales that were moldy. One of my horses even colicd on it. Tried to return and even with copy of credit card transaction they wouldnt take the hay back. No refund or No exchange. He could have easily looked up the transaction but also he knew that at the time we made this purchase we requested another brand of equine food be carried there. I told him about the moldy hay when HE called me to tell me the senior food was in. Terrible customer service and will never go back. Clearly doesnt care about the customers or the animals theyre feeding. Steer clear of this place!

I love this place. The people who work here are so helpful and nice! They are very knowledgeable about their products and if they dont know something, they will look it up - which I really appreciate. They also have TONS of stock. I try to go here before going to department stores.

If you need it, they have it, and prices arent too shabby either! This is totally our kind of place. They have it all, and a little extra. Hardware, landscaping, feed supplies and a little shopping for us ladies. The staff is kind and helpful, and the location is very convenient for us. Yeah, it could use a spring cleaning, but its a hardware store after all!

If I could rate zero stars I would! I purchased a saw blade and was told I could return it if it didn’t work. The hole in the middle was the wrong size so I went to return it today. We didn’t realize the saw blade hole in the middle was the wrong size until we opened it. I told him (man with gray hair, likely in his 60’s - the same man who sold it to me) I didn’t realize I couldn’t return it unopened and he FLIPPED OUT ON ME, IN FRONT OF MY FOUR YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. I started to cry as he continued to verbally attack me and told him I wasn’t begging for him to return it and he said he was returning it and was going to throw it in the trash! I didn’t argue with him or anything! Two women in the store also shopping were shocked at his behavior, and one even told the man that she was not going to make her purchase after hearing how he talked to me and he told her to get out! We love to support local but we will not support your business again!

Staff are super friendly. They have a good selection of horse stuff. Including a whole wall of Troxel helmets. A few western saddles. Lots of other accessories: feed, first aid, grooming, etc.

I went in to buy some Llama food on March 30, 2015 around 6 PM. I asked about having a key fob made for my Chrysler PT cruiser because it was not working. The key fob had come apart and had some plastic pieces break off when my grandson tried to throw it to me in the parking lot. I was told that since it was not working they probably could not duplicate it. However they took my key fob and tested it and discovered their machine recognized it but they did not have a replacement fob in stock. Instead of handing the key back, the gentleman asked if he could take it apart and look at it. He took it apart and noticed the seal was not allowing the circuit board to sit properly and my battery was in backwards. (I swear I tried it both ways.). It started working and saved me from spending $40 to $80 bucks for a new one. I did not get his name but thank you for taking the extra time when you could have handed it back and said nope, we cant do it. That is superb customer service.

I am a huge supporter of Keller businesses and I try to shop local as much as possible, but I will not be returning to McDonnell! A young mom, 3 year old daughter in tow, was making a return and the owner Mark Keel proceeded to berate her to the point of tears. As I stood there in line to make my weekly dog food purchase I just couldn’t do it. I walked over and explained that the way he was treating her was unacceptable and I would not be making my purchase. His hostility immediately turned to me: “Fine. Go. Get out. Get out. Now!” Well Mr. Keel, I left, but I will share my story everywhere I can! You may have hated refunding her $60, but you just lost $20 a week from our family for the foreseeable future.

Funny place. Sometimes the service is great but the lady at the front counter will at times turn into another person. Is she the owner or manager? Not sure but watch out if shes in a bad mood or you question something. Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with the Soup Nazi. Place your order his way or get thrown out of the store. Not sure Ill stop shopping there but the place is quirky for sure.

The store resembles so many of the hardware stores of yore that remind of my youth. Product prices are competive with all other home improvement stores. Customer service is just fine.

I was having an issue with my outside water hydrant. I went to home depot and they did not have what I needed. The gentleman that was helping suggested McDonnells. I drove straight there and was met with great customer service. Lloyd took the portion of the water spicket that I had and replaced 2 washers. Unfortunately my issue was bigger than that. I went back and Lloyd explained step by step on how to replace the whole unit. I went home and the work was completed in 30 minutes. Lloyd saved me the expense of a plummer. Thank you Lloyd and McDonnells.

I was behind miss leslie and miss ashlee today and I have never witnessed such a disgusting display of disrespect and contempt for a customer let alone two! neither of these ladies did anything to deserve the treatment they received today. there is nothing in that place I mean nothing, worth upsetting anyone to the point of tears in front of their child. I wont be back.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, I have been shopping here for years for needs around the house and pet supplies from birds to horses. Very wide selection on many options, if they don’t have what you need just ask and they’ll special order for you.

Reminds me of the small town I grew up in. Thats a good thing. Huge selection of a little bit of everything. The company I work for sends us down for things and 95% of the time they have it. Random things, specific things, and local honey!! I tinkler and build and DIY and this is the place of choice. Friendly folks and they always try to help. If they dont have it, they normally offer to order it. I will be back for as long as those doors open. Not to mention, Its a small business :) shop local, keepm going. This place deserves it!

I called 2 times and they wouldn’t answer finally the 3rd time they answered and the lady who answered me was rude I asked if they had any baby ducks and she said no and hanged up before I could even ask any other questions.

Very disappointed with this visit. No one seemed to know anything about their store, if they had certain dog food, how to do a tax exempt sale, etc. Store was also not cleanly organized, stuff just laying everywhere. Not the experience I was used to at McDonnells. Almost like someone else was running it.

I was treated with disrespect and overcharged. Threatened to call the police on me because I disagreed with them. Everything in the store is overpriced. Home depot and Lowes blowes them away as for as pricing. And consideration.

Also was a victim of the business owner and will share my own bad experience w the business owner.So the following just happened to me about 30 minutes ago. I was filling out paperwork for a trailer rental. They made a copy of my DL and car insurance for the trailer rental. I simply asked if it would be shredded after I return the trailer. The owner of McDonnells over heard me say it and absolutely blew up at me. The young employee that was helping me w paperwork didnt know what to say. The owner said, no! Im going to share it with everyone in Keller! and shook his head in disgust. So I said, sir, is they an unreasonable question? He blew up at me. I said, you know what Im not going to get the trailer. Im not going to give you my business. And the owner of the store said, get out of my store! Im fixing to call the cops!! So I asked for my DL back and promptly left. I dont need some story made up about me and the cops called. Ive been going to this store for years for various items. I appreciate small businesses (typically) and try to avoid large box stores like H.D. and Lowes and help out the family businesses. NO LONGER WILL I SHOP MCDONNELLs. Is it unreasonable for me to be concerned about my drivers license and my car insurance ID cards sitting in a businesss portfolio for years n years? I will no longer by garden stuff, tools, nuts and bolts, electrical cables, custom cut hoses, door hardware, paint, dog food or horse food, propane refills, lumber or concrete or patio pavers from this owner like weve been doing in the past. Absolutely uncalled for and absurd customer service from the owner! Ill go to big box stores and order my feed online!
