Recently had a new deck and key-less entry installed here on an older car. Even though the car isnt worth much its very reliable and I even if I was just getting a basic replacement deck I wanted it to work like the factory deck. Jimmy took the time to explain features of various decks and security systems. I went in on a Saturday and he was working to get all parts needed on Sunday. On top of this he did the installation on Monday. The store is closed Sundays and Mondays so he was working on his normal days off.By Monday afternoon the car was ready but I wasnt able to get there to pick it up until Wednesday. He kept the car in shop locked and secure for the extra day. At most places my 1997 Buick would have been parked outside. These little details are what makes Traffic Jamz / Jimmy great.When I got the car everything works flawlessly and looks better than the factory deck. I may have paid more than what I would have at Best Buy or Car Toys but I got Jimmys 20 years of experience and expertise to do the job right the first time. And because he worked on his days off without me asking I got the installation done much faster than expected.You may find someone else cheaper but you wont find anyone better!!!PS My only knowledge of Traffic Jamz before I stopped by was reading Google Reviews. Every review by someone that actually purchased seemed extremely satisfied. Im one of those people now too.

I just received an estimate from Jimmy at Traffic Jamz today for an audio upgrade to my truck. Jimmy was very professional and polite dealing with my wife and two very active kids...not to mention, a packed lobby! Although I have not made a decision on the work yet, it was refreshing to interact with such a professional who truly cares about your audio experience. Jimmy offered different options for the installation process and I never felt rushed or up-sold on the entire visit.All in all, Jimmy took his time (and patience) to educate us on our options for our truck equipment...and for that Im sending out a Big Thank You!

This is beyond the best car audio shop in the DFW area! The owner (Jimmy) is the most friendly, well educated, and respectful person you will meet! He cares so much about making the customer happy and making things perfect, rather than simply the money like most shops you come by. He goes out of his way, no matter what to make you happy and make sure you get the most out any audio desire! I’ve been going to him for years and he’s done every single one of my vehicles. There is not another person/shop I’ll ever thing about going. I highly recommend this shop to anyone. He will go into detail about anything you are wanting and make sure you leave his shop with a smile on your face, and not to mention an amazing sounding ride!

I have a had a wonderful experience with Traffic Jamz. Jimmy is professional and he is a perfectionist! We had him install a very complicated auto-start on our Honda Odyssey and he not only did a great job but he got the new fob to open and close the doors and hatch. Sweet! Im one happy mom! Now I can have my car running before I get in it. Thanks Traffic Jamz for making my life easier!

Came in today to get an estimate for a car purchases on eBay. The car came with broken audio but seller was going to pay to fix it -- all he needed was a written estimate and hed refund that to the card. Jimmy gave me a price but refused to give a written estimate -- even after I pointed out he was going to make a $600 sale by writing something out I could send the original owner. He was quite unpleasant during the entire process. As a small business owner myself i would never let a guaranteed sale walk out the door. Felt very VERY sketchy. Even my 12 year old son said something felt very wrong. Not sure what his play/scam/deal is but I have a hard time believing it is legitimate.

Jimmy did an awesome Job He fixed Best buyBad installation job I went in to best buy told them what my radio was doing so they sold there products and what they said would fix my issues they installed everything and it didnt work was told by the installer I had to wait a few hours cause there were others with appointments and I used up my time asked the installer to take everything out went over talked with jimmy he hooked me right up best sounds ever in my avalanche the man knowsHis stuff awesome Job Jimmy good Quality work

This place will screw you do hard . I needed a wiring harness for my stereo and asked Jimmy for the specific piece. He said that the piece cost 80ish off the top of his head. Then he was mistaken and brought out a 180 piece and said it was the only harness that would fit. I refused to buy it .This is the best part...I went to best buy bought a 15 wiring harness and it was exactly what I needed and out of curiosity I went to see how much best buy charged for the same piece and it was 70!!! Hes a sketchy person and runs a dishonest business . I have always heard bad things about this place and they hold true . Dont ever go there.

Owner/operator not friendly at all and just let money walk out of his shop. Unless you’re wanting to do what he wants, he’s not interested. I had all of my equipment, I just wanted to pay labor for the installation of 2 amps, and a line-out converter (which I was going to purchase from him). I wasn’t looking for any warranty, on the install as I already owned the products. Years ago I had him do the same thing and it wasnt a problem, so I was a return customer, I even told him this, but he was quite rude and acted like he didn’t have time for me. Isn’t this a car audio business? I know he knows his stuff, but I’m not a novice to this, and I’ve owned many setups in the past. I called Crank It Up and not only were they friendly as usual, but they didn’t flinch on what I was asking to have done. I’ve always had good experiences at Crank It Up, I just thought I’d try this guy again because he was closer. Never again 👎🏻👎🏻3/19/19: Haha just saw the owner’s reply to my original post. Just more evidence that this guy is bad business... His response didn’t even align with what transpired between us. He’s obviously thinking I was someone else that he had an issue with, which says even more about him. I never asked him to work for “free”, nor did I argue the price. He flat didn’t want to help me. Additionally, there was nothing I needed to “fix”. All I wanted was my amp installed. What a clown.

They had what I was looking for, albeit rather pricey. The only real downside was that customer service seemed lackadaisical and whenever I paid with credit, I had to show several form of ID and sign a few different papers. It was quite a hassle to give them my money. But other then that, seemingly decent products and a rather nice shop.

I brought Jimmy an entire system I purchased off Crutchfield a year ago. After telling me that everything I purchased was crap- Jimmy convinced me to buy my amp. from him...as he wouldnt warranty the work unless I bought it here. OK- so there goes 500$ in basic installation- but at least it is covered, right? I brought it back- because a speaker was popping- I figured I needed a new speaker. So, he convinces me to spend 800 on new customer speakers. After he installs them, they still pop- so he tells me the amp has blown. At least I bought it from you, right.... well, no, because the warranty just expired. What a joke. This guy is a crook- period.

Had a rouge alarm system about 3 weeks ago.Spoke with Jimmy about my problem and he came out on a service call and fixed the problem. Paid the price quoted over the phone...a man of his word,not only will I get a new alarm system Ill also have Jimmy put together a entertainment system to fit my budget needs based of our conversation.

I stopped by for a quote and found the employees to be very snippy. I decided against having work done here. Judging by the owners responses to these comments on here, i made the right decision. There are a lot of more viable options for installs in this town and around DFW in general. Jimmy sounds like a pompous, arrogant little man syndrome type of guy. Customer service has evolved in 20 years ....this place might want to say up with the times if they plan to survive this economic climate.

Its been about 1.5 years now that Jimmy installed a totally custom alarm system on my trailer. I waited so long to do the review because i wanted to see how his product held up and how his service would be if i needed to bring it back for anything. Well, it hasnt had any problems and it is used on a daily basis. So i’m doing the review now.. The price was a little higher than i thought it would be before going to get the estimate, but i felt like in the end the work was commensurate to the price. Overall i am very happy with his work and product. Many negative reviews state that Jimmy is rude. Jimmy is a very very intelligent man. And he is very very good at what he does. Sometimes people who are very intelligent exel in their field of technical work, but lack a little in people skills. Jimmy’s personality IS a little different from others but once you get to know him he is a really great guy. I think what is happening is people enter Jimmy’s shop with a price in mind but when they hear his higher price, and experience his type personality, they sum him up to be rude and over priced. My advice is to go into Traffic Jamz with the idea that you are there to get an estimate from a man who is highly skilled in his line of work and ready to experience his particular type a personality. When you get around to reading this review Jimmy, I hope you don’t take this as demeaning. Have a great day everyone!

Im technology challenged. They helped me reset my system and install new settings on a radio I bout 2 1/2 years ago. They did this as a courtesy. Big box stores would never do this.

I bought a new deck from here and after it was installed we had to listen to him vent about his step son and what a problem he was for 2 HOURS! after the deck was installed I wanted an amp and new speakers but was going to install them myself to save money as Im in college. well to take the deck so I could hook the amp up he wanted $20 it was a five second job. I decided to go home and pull it out with butter knives instead. the owner is just not very good with customer service. the deck worked good though so thats a plus.

Window wasnt working properly...owner said it wouldnt be s problem. Dropped my truck off when it opened at 9.... They didnt starting working on it till 5:30. I called at 3 and they said they were working on it, but they really werent. Will never come here again. My advice is, do not come here. Not good customer service at all.

I used to work with jimmy when I was 18yrs old which was awhile ago but one thing I learned from him is that he did things in a order and had no issues after any installations. He is very educated on what he sells and installs and backs everything with warranty on his labor and parts. When I stopped in to his store, he knew exactly what I was looking for and while helping another customer that was there before I had arrived. I give traffic jamz a 10 star out of 5 in my book. Lol👍😉

NOT happy with the service or work done at Traffic Jamz. The owner is very aggressive with his sales pitch - so much so that he works in services that werent even asked for. I went with this guy over Best Buy because he had all the (overpriced) parts on hand and could do a quick turnaround. I figured I would pay a little more and get better service from a specialist vs a big box retailer, despite the higher price tag. Was I ever wrong! My dash is completely scraped up. He did a terrible job, very sloppy. I would not recommend this business. Hold out for cheaper service elsewhere - your wallet and your dash will thank you!

When my factory Acura 6 CD player stopped ejecting or playing Cds I went to Traffic Jams. I bought a Kenwood radio with all the new technology, namely hands free operation for my iPhone with microphone, Bluetooth, Pandora, Heart radio, etc.. I am very happy with the service Jimmy provided. He explained the differences in what each product offered and this is the one I chose. I went back today to ask about settings, after not completely understanding the manual. He took the time to show me how the unit worked and everything the controllers controlled. I am very pleased with the installation and professional service Jimmy provided for me.I will advise anyone looking to enhance their car stereo experience to go to Traffic Jamz. A+ Business John

You know what’s funny after I had conversation with the guy who works here; I was ready to to jump on here and give half of one star by telling my story, to tell you truth after reading previous views there is no need. One common trend this dude rude and a jerk. I agree with all one star comments. Just let his shi*y business fall off the map.

I had an old 1996 car that the alarm malfunctioned and would not disable so I could not start the car. I called Jimmy on a Saturday and he came out to my house, got the alarm disabled, and I drove it up to his business, because at this point I just wanted the 18 year old alarm taken out. Now this was a Saturday when Traffic Jams is very busy and Jimmy does it all, so it took a little while. This is completely acceptable in my opinion, because he has other customers also. He got the job done and I had a service engine light on that he trouble shot and fixed (yes, of course for a fee, he has to make a living also), but that fixed the door locks that werent working, the trunk opener that as not working and fixed the computer data port so I could program my key FOBs, and the service engine light was now off. WOW! Now I paid for Jimmys services, but compared to having it towed to a dealer (because no dealer I know of makes house calls) and what the dealer would have charged me, I figure I saved hundreds! That was my experience. Thanks Jimmy!

I have brought multiple vehicles to jimmy over the past 20 years and felt he got me this time. He thinks very highly of himself anjid charges per his ego. Dont let the word technology fool you, he uses it alot!I brought him an aftermarket double din 7 monitor to install in my truck with the assumption it was a plug n play setup and would be easy. He overpriced me and needless to say it was a plug n play stereo. I had him install due to the steering wheel controls and back up camera.Got the call my truck was ready, only to arrive and him tell me that he couldnt get the steering wheel controls to work and the gps doesnt recognize a signal and the back up camera screen was flipped. You would assume the amount I had to pay for the install he would of took the time to figure it out. Then to top it off my fog lights didnt work anymore.I decided to take the unit out while I was diagnosing the fog lights and saw it was literally a plug n play system, he added nothing and charged me per his use of the word technology.He continually slams other companies for there work but after seeing his install with electrical tape and butt connectors his price doesnt hold up to his work. Soldier and heat shrink should be used for his price.Needless to say I will not be returning to him after 20 years of service and look forward to his line of excuses he will write after this, and he can keep the money he owes me for his unabilities to complete the job successfully. Good luck to anyone who uses him but I would search elsewhere.Response after the owners crap reaponse.Lets start with the backup camera, your right it was a setting in the unit that I myself fixed. As far as the connectors, the radio was plug n play besides the DVD bypass in which you charged $50 to ground 1 wire in which you used a butt connector and electrical tape.Gps you charged $100 to bunch up the wire under the dash. I pulled the reciever out from under the dash and ran it up the a pillar and out externally and it works fine.As far as steering wheel controls, I again went in and fixed without this module interface you keep bringing up ( technology ). It was a setting within the radio that I again fixed myself.So again after your done talking crap about everything DO SOME research as it might advance your insight on new technology. Again you charged $700 for a truelly plug n play radio that I myself had to go in and fix what you couldnt and claim your the professional.

All I needed was a basic radio install.. Not knowing better I was requured to put a $100 deposit on the job and its half of what they are charging me.. Later I waent to best buy, and car toys where they told me that the cost of the same job is ledd than the deposit at bedt biy and its over 100 mote yhan cartoys.. In fact its twice the cost everywhere else.. The fact that a 100 dollar deposit is required alone is a red flag.. And the price is almost crimal and I feel taken advantage of.. i csnt believe a shop with such a poor repution is not trying to be competive but noreso fair.. Iys a bad bisinedd decision and in bad taste

100$ install with cablws at dfw stereo grapevine.Do not go here he overprices everything and is extremely pushy.I used a wrong term and he bashed on me.This man is a terrible person to treat a kid this way, saying i was rude and uneducated when i was looking for help. 150$ installs are insane without cables when i got a 100$install with cables and warranty from dfw stereo which who said they sucked as well when it has worked fine for my budget . Saying he was trying to educate me as he was talking down on me like it was a life lesson and i wasnt trying to sound educated about it thats why i asked. AND YES I SPENT $100 AT DFW CAR AND AUDIO IN GRAPEVINE for a instal PLUS CABLES (40$)and it preforms well with a warranty and an experienced install. He wired it up so it wouldnt push my amp or speakers too much and still sounds amazing.Seriously this guy was trying to find a way to degrade and put you down. He said your custom box didnt fit after i told him i got a good deal because my hatch was a little off but thats the way i bought it. IF ITS NOT EXPENSIVE ITS CRAP QUALITY TO THIS GUY simple as that. I dont think ive met someone so agressive in my life.

Despite the negative reviews, I wanted to try a new place after having audio services done at Car Toys (810 NE Loop 820, Hurst, TX 76053) on two separate occasions. Their install was a nightmare! I could go on about this, but this review is about Traffic Jamz - Keller. I do have one major problem with my installation from Traffic Jamz......................I cant stop opening my trunk to look at the detailed workmanship in awe!Upon walking in, I notice that the shop was very clean compared to all the other shops I looked into after my nightmare with Car Toys. This showed me that the owner is very detailed and serious about his business. I was greeted by Jimmy and I explained my concerns with Car Toys quality of work. I showed him my obvious concerns and he pointed out several not-so obvious concerns. Next, I proceeded to let him know what my visions were. Then, we scheduled a day to drop off my car.The day I dropped off my car, Jimmy took the time to explain to me how a subwoofer works and the required box specifications for my two subwoofers. After calculating the specs, I learned that Car Toys, along with their terrible woodwork, built a box that was extremely too small to run two 12 JL Audio subs which answered my main complaint - I wasnt getting the sound that I felt two JL 12 subs should sound like.Ive had my car back for a few days now. It took a few days to get it back, but when I did, I was shocked and amazed! The installation is a HUGE contrast to Car Toys work. Instead of treating my car like cattle - get it in and get it out (Car Toys style), Jimmy took a few days to get it perfect and you can see the perfection in his work. He even showed me a sketch he made (based on the style of my trunk) with detailed measurements. Jimmy is truly a master at his craft and his customer service from start to finish is second to none - he even called me from time to time, usually after business hours, to explain the progress he was making. I would refer him to friends or anyone for that matter and I will be returning for more customization work. Thanks Traffic Jamz!
