I cant say enough good things about Swedish Imports! I have a newer car and wanted to have it serviced locally. Swedish Imports did my annual maintenance, state inspection and replaced all of my tires. Last week, on the first day of my new job, I had a tire running low. They were quick to put my spare on and get me on my way. Additionally, they mounted my new tire so it was a quick visit to get things back to normal. They always go above and beyond, and I was impressed with the overall cleanliness prior to COVID and am now impressed with the measures they take to meet or exceed current CDC guidelines. Prompt, efficient, honest service - I wouldnt take my car anywhere else.

These guys are the real deal. Bought a used Volvo from them and, within a week, the check engine light came on. I took it back and they flushed the vacuum pump system. A few days later, the light came on again. I made perhaps 3 trips up to Kennebunk for this issue, getting complimentary loaners while they searched out the problem. Finally, they just replaced the entire vacuum pump system. Cost to me? $00.00! All the while Mike and Matt were friendly, smiling, professional and honorable in all their dealings with me. Im glad the problem is fixed, but I actually miss going up there and chatting with them. I highly recommend their service. And I love my Volvo!

Had a loose bumper and stopped in to have them look at to see if okay to drive the car. The Service Person (MJ?) was exceptional- helpful and friendly. Mike the mechanic took a quick look and said it needed a longer repair. He was patient and explained to me options. I brought car in and it was serviced well. I appreciate they have loaner cars for a small fee (makes like so much easier). Found the service to be very good, but was most impressed with the service attitude and kindness they extended. I have been taking my 1997 Volvo 850 to Swedish Imports since I moved to Southern Maine in I believe 2005ish and my Volvo still runs great, great gas mileage, safe car. Unfortunately for Swedish Imports it runs so good I havent needed to bring it in, in well over a year. I did call though for some advice. Keep up the Good Work, Mike, and dont go out of business because of me.

When I found what appeared to be a great car for a great price at Swedish Imports I was thrilled! I loved that it came with a warranty and the owner SAID it was a car brought in from a customer, so he knew the car well. That gave me confidence that it was a good car. After 2 months the car broke down. It had a three month warranty, so they took it in and quickly had it back to me. One month later the SAME ISSUE happened. Again, covered under warranty so the car went in the shop, I got it back a couple days later without a problem. One mother later the car broke down again with the SAME ISSUE. This time it was not under warranty and they initially said they were NOT going to cover it... they ultimately did, however 2 weeks later it broke down again, SAME PROBLEM. They gave me a loaner car and kept it for a week, no charge. Got it back, one month later, broken AGAIN. in the 5 months I had the car it was in their shop 5 times FOR THE SAME ISSUE. I ultimately returned the car and they gave me my money back (I paid cash). Should you buy a car/fix a car at Swedish Imports?... I guess that depends on if you trust a mechanic who fixes the same problem every month for 5 months. As for me, Ill never go back, and NEVER send a friend.

Update 05/18: After taking the owner to court, the owner reimbursed me the money for repairs.Took my Mercedes to have wiring harness to rear tail lamp repaired. Swedish Imports forgot to order/install gasket - allowing my trunk and electronics to become flooded upon the 1st exposure to bad rain. $2300 in repairs to Mercedes after the electronics short circuited and set the alarm horn blaring for hours, lights going on and off, etc. When confronted, the owner refused to acknowledge that his technician could make a mistake - even after he called Mercedes to confirm the gasket doesnt come with the tail light assembly. Worst customer service experience in years. Mike, the owner, is belligerent and thinks he and his staff are infallible. Although their website says Mercedes Service Center - only Mercedes Benz does Mercedes repairs.

Went to Swedish Imports because I sent my key fob through the washer and needed it fixed ASAP because the keyless entry function is crucial with a newborn. They were able to get me in the next day(would have been same day if I had been able to get there), charged me half of what other dealers would have charged me, and gotten it done in half the time the others estimated to me. Everyone I met was incredibly friendly and helpful, the mechanic noticed a small problem while programming my fob and notified me afterwards. New customer that will be bringing my car here from now on.
