I waited a while to post this review because I had a custom set of clubs made and I felt it would be fair to assess it all after I had some time with the new set. First off, I had Like for my fitting. I might add that I had a fitting at Club Champion before coming to Edwin Watts and I preferred my fitting here with Luke. He was so personable, without veering off the task at hand. You could tell he was genuinely interested in finding the right combination of heads and shafts for my set of irons. I expressed my interest in getting a used driver and 3-wood, to which he lit up (saying that since he does long drive competitions, now we were really in his wheelhouse) and accompanied me over to the used section to see what we could find. I’m a 10 handicap, but I don’t know much about equipment (/same clubs for the last 17 years), so I entrusted all the picking to him. He dialed in the heads for me, and installed new grips on the spot. I have now had time with my full set and can say that it was a perfect match of feel/forgiveness/flight that I was looking for. I so appreciated Luke’s genuine customer service. Kind and professional. Edwin Watts gives that hometown golf shop feel. Quality and personable.

Thanks to Edwin Watts who once again gave me great service!Avid golfer who will never walk into Golf Galaxy again.By far some of the worst service I have ever had. Planned to purchase a new putter today. Started at Edwin Watts who was helpful and knowledgeable. Narrowed it down to two putters. Went to Golf Galaxy to compare prices. No one offered to help and when I asked for information on a chipper I was practically ignored. There were three salespeople just standing there.Went back to Edwin Watts and bought 2 clubs.Earlier this year I bought a new set of clubs and a hybrid. It was the same deal. Bad service at Golf Galaxy. Friendly, knowledgeable, and patient service at Edwin Watts so they got my business. The guy at Edwin Watts even remembered me.The employees at Edwin Watts are hands down better than the clowns employed at Golf Galaxy.No exaggeration here. I hope this was helpful. Good guys here... All of them spoke with a smile upon entering.... Was asked a few times bu different salesmen if i needed help and they didnt give me he usual eye roll when i asked if i could hit a club.only reason i didnt buy it was bc it had the wrong shaft for me....

Will only go to Edwin Watts for golf equipment now! I went and got fitted at Golf Galaxy for a driver and was not impressed at all. I canceled the driver and went to Edwin Watts and got fitted by Kent. He did a fantastic job analyzing the stats of each driver and helped me make a decision. I am loving my new driver and have the confidence knowing that it was fitted specifically for me. Cant wait to get fitted for Irons next!

Went in to buy shoes. Found the FJ style I liked, but couldn’t find the shoe. No one there to help. So I went on line while I was at the store and ordered it on Footjoy.com

Overland Park Edwin Watts Golf is superb in customer satisfaction and very accomodating to customers request. I recommend Gordon and the team and i for sure will be returning for my future golf purchases.

Walked around in there VERY SMALL shoe department for about 30 minutes and the guy working never said a word to me. Completely ignored.I found the 2 pairs of shoes I needed, and left to place the $320+ order online.I should have learned the first time I went in and they were unwilling to help me, but thats my fault. They wont get a 3rd chance.

Always great, knowledgeable staff and are very good about looking at the data to put you in the right clubs. No pressure environment and have people youd want to play 18 with.

Great selection of items for any budget and level of player. The staff delivers excellent service, but will also gladly let you browse at your own pace. Very knowledgeable and passionate about golf, and they back all their equipment with a 90-day warranty. Ill definitely be back.

I really like this store. I have purchased a set of irons, a driver the last few years and recently a hybrid all with Kents help. Kent was generous with his time and knowledge to help me select what best fit me and my needs.When it come to clubs and good service, I always trust and go to EWG in OP.

So I’m newer to golf and I went looking for some shoes for my birthday and being new to golf I had questions and needed some knowledgeable professionals to help me. I went to 4 places that sold shoes and couldn’t get any help, so I found Edwin Watts and figured I’d give it one more shot for the day. When I arrived the staff acknowledged I was in the building and were trying to finish up with other customers and I completely understand that as a customer myself. Once Gordon Chang was available he came over to help me on the closeout shoe table and I told him I was newer and didn’t want to spend over $100 if possible. Gordon was more than able to help me understand the difference between shoes and brought me several closeouts and new pairs within my budget.All I have to say is I’m a customer for life now and thank you Gordon for the help finding the puma shoes. I hope this gets to your upper management.

Awesome experience for anyone that loves golf. If you are just starting out they have a large selection of golf clubs at reasonable prices. Granted they may be a few years older but you are able to test them out and see what fits for you which is awesome.

Can find anything Golf!

Went in looking for a solid set of used clubs. Not coming from a golf background I had some questions on what kind of club, size, and shaft would fit my game. I was excited to get those questions answered as well as getting my set of clubs. When I went to the front desk to see if they could help me out, the gentleman said, “he’d be right with me.” I was understanding until I stood around for a solid 20 min. Then he started helping some people that just walked in the door. Overall, terrible experience.

After hitting numerous golf stores in Kansas and Missouri, I finally found the store I was needing. Edwin Watts in Overland Park, KS is where its at. I am not an avid golfer but have been getting into it more and more the last 4 years. Greeted instantly when we walked in with a warm welcome. The lady on the floor showed me all that was available to women, informed me of the 90 day return policy as she could sense I was hesitant. She hooked me up with Jimmy and he took over from there. Went into the simulator and he explained everything he was looking at as I tried out 2 different brands of clubs. Showed me the reports on the computer and gave me some great tips that have already improved my swing. I walked out of there with a new set of Cobra clubs and felt great about my purchase. I would go back to Edwins and definitely ask for Jimmy again!

I came here to check out the prices of their used clubs. Surprisingly, they have a good inventory of used clubs and prices to match. They also have a good selection of golf clothes. They are pretty negotiable on prices too which you dont see often.Good place to come for golf equipment.

First experience unfortunately not a good one. Dropped my putter and three wedges off to get re-gripped mid week with the clear expectation that I would be back by Monday to pick them up and if that was a problem I would wait as I was play on Monday. When I picked up all four clubs Monday my putter was there and three wedges but they were not my three wedges. Unfortunately the clubs had been mixed up and given to someone else over the weekend. The person did return my wedges and I picked them up Tuesday, but I was disappointed that no one offered anything more than an an apology. Everyone was polite and I did get my wedges back and a full price bill so will not be a returning customer.

I have bought clubs for years here at this store. Some very experienced staff. Mel is a Master club builder and known him for years.Just a very good golf store!

2 bad experiences in a row. Asked to get fitted for a putter and was met with the reply I think I can do it (not jokingly) and he kept walking away to add returned clubs back to inventory. Never did get fitted. The only reason I did not walk out was because I had a gift card I needed to spend. Go to golf Galaxy for your club fitting needs. I will not be going back to Edwin Watts until Ive had a Chance to cool down a little./ The manager found my number and contacted me about the incident. Means allot to me that he cares enough to try to make it right.

I was treated like an idiot by some old guy who worked there. It seemed like he would have treated me different if I was 20 years older, classic golfer situation where old guys think they are the only ones allowed to play. It pisses me off and this employee needs to be educated on how to help customers and not just get all mad at them. Edwin Wats golf please do something about this!!!

I just want to commend you for your outstanding customer service. The two frat boys that were trying to impress each other with how hard they could swing were well taken care of. Unfortunately, I was in the store for 30 minutes looking to upgrade my titleist zm irons for ap2’s or apex pros $1300+ irons and a sales man didn’t come within 30 paces of me. I walk to each location a salesman was, service, putting green, fitment center, and not even a hello. I guess next time I will wear some pink shorts, polo shirt and sperrys... Hopefully this will help me “look” like someone worth helping. I gave 2 stars because I was given decent service last year when I purchased my $400 ping driver...
