What A Disappointment. It is a sad day when I know more about cutting and coloring than the stylist. I took my 10-year-old granddaughter in to have her hair colorized and cut. From the start it was as though it was the stylist first day in school. She was unsure how to mix the coloring. I had to tell her “Don’t you have color samples we can look at?” “Oh yeah” was the response.I pointed out to her that what she was doing as far as the coloring was not what we wanted. She then went to confer with another stylist. After 5 minutes I went to see what was going on. I was told that when a customer changes their mind it takes longer. I pointed out we did not change our minds; the process was being done incorrectly.I would have walked out if it were my appointment but, my granddaughter was excited, and I did not want to disappoint her. The final cut was uneven, the back was a mess and I had to ask her to clean up the coloring off her face and I had to ask to have the neckline trimmed evenly.Conversation is a big part of styling, chatting up the customer. This stylist was beyond quiet to the point that when we were in between steps, I had to ask her if she was ready for us. She just starred at us as we walked around the store. With almost $300 invested into this cut, the final product was beyond disappointing. I suggest that if anyone goes into ULTA after reading this review, you should ask to see the stylist license. I am sure this one was on her learner’s permit.
In the salon I have always had a good experience with Erica. I went blonde and its still pretty good.I wont pay that much for a basic trim though. If I get a haircut thats more drastic than an inch shorter Ill go here. I like going here for my coloring though.
Since their debut its always a good experience...the app not so much! But in store is always great. Staff is happy to answer any questions. Plus Ill be Going out on a limb here, but it feels like they really enjoy their job. Marvelous place dont know how I survived without it!
I love this place! The selection! The service! Oh my! Ok, real talk though. There’s a hairstylist who works there and she suggested products for my damaged hair. She made the best suggestions and they’re all my new favorite things! She knows what she’s talking about. I’ve been to a dermatologist and several hairstylists searching for answers about how to get healthy locks again. This employee is the first to point me in the direction of products that have been game changers for me! TGIN is one of them (Thank God It’s Natural), a line created by a breast cancer survivor to solve “chemo hair” (when cancer patients hair grows back the texture is different). I’m obsessed with them. She also suggested Chi, and AG Hair. She advised me to get a small bottle of the Chi product to see if it works for me before paying for the bigger bottle. I went back to buy more hair products recently and this hairstylist was doing another woman’s hair. I had to pick stuff out by myself and I bought several things that don’t work at all. I’m going to return them and hopefully this woman can guide me again! She’s like a product hair guru. Hair product Yoda. I need to get her name and post it with all the praise, until then, Product Yoda she will be.
Jaime was amazing. My brows have never looked better. Thank you so much!
I waited way too long for curbside pickup. Ended up having to call, be on hold for 8 minutes before someone answered. As soon as I let them know I was outside someone brought me half my order, didnt ask for my ID (stated as a requirement by Ulta for curbside pickup), gave a muffled Im sorry without any further concern of the inconvenience. I was warned about not using Ultas curbside pick-up but thought I would give them a chance. I would recommend maybe having a meeting soon about improving this experience for your customers, since it is obviously not a priority in the daily operations of your facility.
My first time in here and I was impressed! Just one step inside and I had staff asking if I needed help. I spoke to the salon about my hair and not only did she answer every question I had about extensions she set me up with an appointment AND gave me recommendations for my natural hair concerns. She even walked me over to show me. I bought the line and I will say after 2 uses my hair is visibly so much better! Cant wait to go in on Wednesday for salon. Might even buy some makeup next time. Thank you! Wonderful experience and amazing service!
My favorite Ulta store hands down staff is amazing and a nice clean store.
Thank you, very helpful staff. Thank you Audrey, you 🎸 🤘.
Never a bad experience hereOne time I showed up 5 min before they closed and they did not rush me, treated me kindly, I only had come for an exchange and they didnt know thatBut still were being beyond helpfulIve also gone into the store with zero make up and in sweats, still the same great service I get when I go in nice and with a full face
My sister took me to ultra so that I could get a birthday present. She purchased a curling iron for me. When I got home I realized I got a curling wand instead of an iron. So I went back to the store to swap out for the iron. The store was out of stock. I then asked if I could have the product shipped from the website to my house. Unfortunately, the website was also out of stock. So, I asked the manager to check another Ulta nearby and again that store was out of stock. I quickly checked amazon and noticed the curling iron was available through them and nearly $10 cheaper, so I asked for a refund. I was told that I could not get a cash refund even though I had a receipt, because I didn’t have my sister’s debit card (birthday present—she paid) and they needed her card. The manager suggested I take the store credit and drive an hour to Walla Walla to pick up a the curling iron from there. I suggested the manager call Walla Walla and have the item shipped to me or to the Kennewick store. She said she couldn’t do that and that the best she could do was give me store credit. I guess I’m supposed to buy products I don’t want in place of the item Ulta can’t provide. I ended up asking for the item back so that I could call my sister and have her get a refund, so that I could then buy the product somewhere else. What a waste of time.
Thank you Madison :) I don’t know what to do with my new found confidence lol. Great job!
Always have what I am looking for.
I was having an irritated Friday and needed to run into this ULTA to get birthday gifts for tomorrow. My cashier, Loren, was so sweet, didn’t push and push to have me sign up for a credit card, and had wonderful customer service. My day has flipped around because of her! Thank you, Loren!
The help was nice but not knowledgeable, which in this kind of store you really need educated help that know some/alot about their products!
Very helpful employees
First time using salon, was awesome getting hair done since even before ask this Covid business. Whitney did a good job, will have to go again to get desired look. A tad pricey.
Worst experience, I was happy going to buy new stuff and this coworker ask if I need help and I said I think I’m good. Then I think she told the lady something & this other coworker came and ask if I need help and I said no I think I’m good, I look at my Fiancé and the coworker kept staring at me from a little distance and I told him I think they think we stealing. I don’t know what made her think I was stealing or what they saw I was just looking at items thinking what color I wanted. Me and my fiancé walk around bcuz I want to look at more items & where ever we went the lady will be following us, me and fiancé felt so uncomfortable I felt so heated and sweaty I couldn’t even keep looking for what I wanted. I bought only two items and left & told the cashier what happen because I don’t steal like, I got money and I didn’t want them to think of me that way because it wasn’t true! so I did say something and she sorry but all the others told every coworker already so she knew bcuz they all kept looking at us. I’m never coming back to Kennewick one again. I really did love the store so idk, I guess I’ll stick to Richland.
I struggle with this place. They have a lovely array of products. However, they are not so helpful. Case in point; is my experience at the Benefit section. Benefit was created for women of a certain age, I am in that age group. Each time I have been in the large area that includes the make up station, frankly, I have been ignored. I even asked one of the folks who worked there, who was having a conversation with another client. He (unsure of that persons pronoun, apology if I used the wrong one) said, Ill get you someone in a minute Hun, and turned around and kept going with his conversation with the other client. He called no one, nor did he help me when he was done. 1st, I am not your Hun. We do not know one another well enough for you to attach such a name to me, unless you are from Baltimore - where Hun is the equivalent to Dude. 2nd, while you were having fun talking about your personal life with other customers, I was struggling, hoping and waiting for your expert guidance. 3rd, pay attention to who is in your section - I continued to wait, while you took 3 phone calls, after your fun customers left. Finally, someone from another area came over and helped me. She was not really familiar with the products, and struggled herself with helping me. I greatly appreciate her efforts. In the future, I will use the Benefit website, obtain guidance from them, and then just go in and have a purchase plan in mind, so I dont need to ask for help, and feel annoyed and frustrated when I am in need of guidance. The happy customer tells 3 people of their experience. The unhappy person tells 12. I am that person.
Last time I went was about a year ago and promised I would never go back. The staff was so rude till the point I just had to stop going. What I noticed was most of the staff stands near the expensive side of the store and if you try to buy affordable products you mine as well help yourself even if you need help. One lady saw me staring at her for her help and looked away as if she didn’t see me, when I walked up to her she quickly asked another customer if they needed help just to avoid me and when the customer said he didn’t need help she turned around and walked the other way even though I had been standing there waiting for her to finish.I tried giving them a second chance I really don’t know why, but I went back and they didn’t have a product that I wanted on stock which I understand you can run out of things but I didn’t know if they just didn’t stock it or if they ran out so I asked an employee for help and she then asked another employee to help me but the lady didn’t get the message so I didn’t get helped by either, couple minutes went by and I told the lady if she had checked if they had the product and she said “oh I didn’t know that’s what you meant” like seriously if she didn’t know what I meant why did she tell the other employee to help me out with what I asked for, or why didn’t she asked me to repeat it, she just brushed it off her shoulders and moved on. They just don’t like helping people. They’re very rude. Bad customer service. Bad listening skills. Bad communication skills.
I understand there are limitations now during covid-19 but that shouldn’t give coworkers a right to be extremely rude to their customers. While I was shopping today at ulta in Kennewick Washington I had a lady come up to me and tell me that we’re not aloud to open display products, she then took it from my hands and walked off. Apparently her name was Karen, I’m not quite sure if that was her real name or not but she sure did act like a Karen. You shouldn’t judge people based on looks or by a small mistake they made not knowing any better. I wasn’t all dolled up as I usually am before going out and about. I am a mother and have my lazy days just as anybody else. This lady was down right rude and very inconsiderate. I hope next time she’ll be more helpful instead of being super rude. I was only wanting some assistance with matching my skin to the correct color. I didn’t bother wasting anymore time and decided to walk out empty handed. I spend quite a bit of money here and even have a credit card with ulta. I hope the next time a customer makes a small mistake not knowing any better Karen will be more helpful instead of judging.
At the last minute I walked into the store just before they closed (something I try not to do if I can help it) The young ladys behind the counter still smiled and greated me and made me feel welcome! I knew exactly what I wanted so I was in and out fast . Thank you Jasmine you were wonderful!
Fairly new to the area, called & set up a hair cut at Ulta in Kennewick. My hair is really fine & and not everyone can layer my hair . Mary R (. One of the Stylist) highly recommended her . She has a fabulous personality & she did a fantastic job on my hair !! Will definitely be making another appointment with her, for color !!!
Staff is extremely attentive. All your favorite beauty items will be found in stock at competitive prices. My only criticism is that there are often products damaged by shoppers in front of the fresh, undamaged products. Store security needs to be more proactive.
Ladies...if you need your make up/hair done for special events this is the place to do it! They opened up early for us and were amazing! No one seemed put out or upset they came in early. My bridesmaids and I are extremely happy with their work and I will recommend them to anyone! Thank you ladies for making my special day that much better and stress free!
I travel a lot and when I need my hair and brows done I always look for a Ulta Salon. We are currently in Kennewick and luckily for me I was able to get an appointment. I provided Martha, the Salon Manager, the formula for my color that I was given at another Ulta and she totally understood. She is very professional and knowledgeable about different hair types. I was very pleased with the results and would highly recommend her. I also visited the Brow Bar and received excellent service from Jamie. Great day at the Ulta Salon.
Just had a wonderful time at the Urban Decay special event at the Columbia Center store this morning! Got treated so well, it has set me up for a wonderful week and will feel beautiful too!My compliments and appreciation to Alex, prestige products manager, for the special favor! This store is really special!!
My favorite hairstylist Martha Robles works here and I highly recommend her to anyone! I’ve been going to her for years, definitely trust her more than any other hairstylist out there!
Great for buying makeup but DO NOT Get your hair done there!!! After spending $130 plus $30 tip I went in to go way lighter like a platinum I sat for 3 hours w foil in my hair she wouldnt let me see it till after she put on the toner so I couldnt tell how much lighter my hair was till I washed it. It looked the same I was so MAD!!!!
The breath and depth of makeup they offer is amazing! I took my teenager there and she loved it! She always asks to go there. The only thing to watch out for is this is a specialty store, and the prices reflect that. And they even have some stuff for us guys and our beards :)
Dropping my review down to one star. Everytime I find a hairstylist I like, and call back to book with them they say, Oh shes no longer working here. I loved Kylee, and Lindsey. Why would they no longer be working there? They were great. And $86 just to put a little spot of bleach on my part? No thanks.
The store itself is fine, my one star rating is aimed purely at the salon and to be honest it could be said of many hair professionals. I called yesterday and made an appointment. When I arrived the stylist was still working on the hair of the gal before me. It took him an hour to finish past my appointment time. I wish I could say that once he started working on my hair that everything was great. He was too busy trying to up sale me that he didnt really listen to what I asked for in my hair cut. I tried to be very specific, saying that I wanted the shortest part of the shortest layer to rest at chin level and that I wanted it longer in the back. I have been growing my hair out for a year and just wanted the layers cleaned up a bit. Now I have to grow it out again because my hair looks like it got caught in a weedwacker and I have pieces that are cut by my cheek bones. Can you just listen for five seconds instead of just assuming that I wanted to look like Rachael Ray circa 2000? I cant put it in a ponytail (like I specifically asked for the ability to do )
Very friendly and helpful staff my friend got what she was looking for
Ordered something that they didn’t have In stock last night, they couldn’t find my member I’d and when they did it was under a different name so why couldn’t give me my birthday gift and I never got an email after they ordered my items for me .i called customer service and they were VERY RUDE and couldn’t help me either so now I have a lost order that I paid forUpdate ; the manager was VERY helpful at the store itself she did all she could and handled it Trang and Veronica are awesome ! But it’s frustrating knowing that customer service was of no help what so ever, rude, and when they couldn’t figure it out sent me to four other people. I would have though customer service would have it more togeather, guess not .
I LOVE Urban Decay makeup, but they are getting less and less options. So I get more and more disappointed.
Great selection of beauty products and makeup. They have cruelty free brands, which is what i look for.
So I procrastinated and waited til 2 days before Christmas to do my shopping for my 2 daughters! Luckily Alex took care of everything on my list! He was friendly and knew exactly what I needed! Very Professional and Christmas was better because of Him and Ulta!
I visited today looking for a couple specific things and was not only able to find what I was looking for, but was recommended a couple of lovely products for my wedding! Cara gave us excellent, friendly service and was knowledgeable about the products in store.
Good place.. Good service and lotions smells really really good
First time they charged me twice almost $100 . I told the cashier my card was approved the 1st and she got upset and asked me “well how do you want to pay”. The following day I spoke to my bank they comfirmed that they charged me twice. When I went into the store they were rude and mad that I was asking for my money. Just a day ago went ago had horrible customer service. Cashier was upset that I wanted to return something that I had just purchased. I spend a lot of money in this store, they should work on they customer service and if they don’t like people consider working else where.
I hate ordering online, so when new products come out I check on my Ulta app to see if they are AVAILABLE in store... when it says available I go there to my local 2 stores near me and they never have it out on the floor!!!!!!! I’ll ask an employee and they say oh yes we have it but it’s in the back and they refuse to go get it for me! This is bad business and not okay! You’re losing money buy doing this! Terrible business
Wanted to buy a makeup travel organizer and a matching bag (for a gift) the small bag didnt have its tag but i didnt think it was an issue. Once at the register, i was told they couldnt sell it to me because it didnt have a price and they couldnt sell their last item with no sku.. Really? The sales person quickly put it under the counter and rang up the rest of my stuff. I should have thrown a major fit. DONT HAVE MERCHANDISE OUT ON THE FLOOR IF ITS NOT FOR SALE. i spent 10 min deciding if i should get it and wasted my time standing in line to buy it.
The store itself is nice, but I didnt like the customer service I recieved. I felt like I was some sort of burden for the man who checked my things out. I probably wont shop here again. Here is a new update:I came here again, tonight to get a few things. The lady who helped me told me she would go in the back to get me a concealer. I waited 10-15 minutes for her. No show. I caught her walking around with a basket and asked if she got me my concealer. She then tells me the concealer was out of stock. How can she have me waiting like that? I had no idea it was out of stock in the back and she didnt even try to tell me. I cant believe she wasted my time like that. Also, the concealer is darker than my skin tone and she was dead on that it was too light for me.
I went and there wasn’t all the products that they have at the other ULTA and it was very disappointing and they should have all the same products at both stores! I would recommend going to west Richland store instead it has all products!.
Very easy to find on Google, Im so happy they have a store in Tri-Citys. Cant wait to go shop there !!
Good prices and really good selection since I went all natural product.
Prices werent accurate to what was being sold, got told something was $12 and rang up more than that, cashier was rude, not a fan.
Worst Ulta I have EVER been to!!... Staff is no help, they are rude and slightly clueless. I never spend less than $400 in ulta so I would expect the service to be decent. And all honesty, it doesnt matter if you are spending $400 or $20, you as a customer deserve to be treated right . I have never seen a more torn apart, messy store.... I waited over 20 minutes for help before saying forget it and going to sephora. I only had a couple questions and I wasnt waiting any longer. I will never be going back - what a waste of an amazing store.
Everything you need in one spot for hair and beauty. Customer service is amazing and they know about everything!
I really enjoy the staff at Ulta. Charice is great and very helpful. I have had a very positive experience with the salon. I also like the promotions they have.
Good Ulta store, love the proximity to my house and other stores.
I love this store they have a wide variety of make and hair products i love the service there they have so much more to offer then sephora and I honestly would go there instead of sephora
I spend way too much money in here. Everything is relatively well organized, and the staff is mostly helpful, particularly the guys!
Great people
Five cashiers and only two available?Line backed up to end of store. Not very considerate of customers time.
The stores in the Tri-Cities are always a mess, Im never asked if I need help and half the time you cant find an unopened package of an item you are looking for. They encourage you to swatch their samples, but dont provide any make-up remover like they do at the Ultas in the Seattle/Portland area and the ones in the Eastern part of the US. Ours are the only ones that I have seen that are this messy and disfunctional and I am always disappointed when I go in.Update: I will not be shopping at the tri-cities Ultas anymore. I went in and purchased pomade for my hair and when I got home and opened it there was a huge chunk missing from someone putting their finger in it. I shouldnt have to check every product I plan to purchase before purchasing it. Either up your staff or train them to circle the store better and put an end to people opening up things that are not testers.
The worst ulta I have ever been too! Dirty, product all over the floor. Not to mention the worst customer service around the area. Take some pride and clean your store.. Ill be going to Richland Ulta.
My wife likes to shop here.
I could spend hours in Ulta. Always friendly helpful staff.
My dream came true. ULTA has everything a women dreams. I Love it.
My first time here went smoothly but when I went in for touch-ups (lashes) the girl got glue in my contacts 6 different times! And over charged me $$!! Never coming back!
The customer service rep who assisted me was knowledgeable and friendly, she found the perfect foundation for my needs (Urban Decay, sheer). I wish Id made a note of her name.
The only thing I hate about this place...... too many options. I could buy the whole store if I were a Kardashian.
Have to tell you the cashier Waleska earned her a weekend off with pay! A 45 lady with dark hair was screaming at her and calling her names telling her she was stupid, Waleska did her job and was trying to tell her the company policy and the lady kept inturpting her and wouldnt let her speak .. I yold the lady to be nice to her she wasnt corporate not managment which by the way stood 50 feet away from the whole situation and did nothing not even a word... Waleska asked the lady politely to take her things and please leave the store .. The lady wanted her to put money back on her own card a gift that was bought for her by their ( the gifters) credit card Waleska told her nicely that she could not do that due to it wasnt the other person card and it had to be the Gifter credit card .. to put the money back on it due to being a credit card ... nor putting on a gift card .. lady threw a fit screamin and yelling .. again nothing from the manager .. this was store #512 6/22/18
Every time I go into this location, I receive NO service. The worst employee has glasses and blonde/dirty blonde hair and she always walks right past me. Im so glad the richland location is opening soon and hopefully they know what customer service is.
First time their, one staff lady was very rude. Great store
Everytime I go in, the gentleman that works there always helps me out, he knows exactly what I need, hes extremely helpful, I just wish it didnt take so long checking out, always a long line, and only one register running, other than that, I love the store!!!
Very friendly experience and knowledgeable staff!!
Love their products, its the only place I get my products.
The staff here is extremely rude and stuck up. My experience at the Richland store has been much more pleasant.
When I walked in the lady working the register greeted me (which was the only pleasant experience there) I walked over to the too faced section and no one asked me if i needed any help until after 20 minutes. I asked if they had anymore of the product that i needed since there wasnt any on the shelf, she went to go check and said no and to call in 2 weeks and see if they ordered any more... who does that?order in 2 weeks? most stores will ship it to you for free or place an order. I saw two ladies who work there doing each others makeup instead of helping customers. I will not be going back, this was my first time and it was my last as well.I am a very unhappy customer and will be taking my business to Sephora and Macys.
I love Ulta I go there constantly and the staff is always very friendly and helpful, their suggestions always kick butt and prove helpful. I also love Ultas points program; if you earn enough just from shopping there you get money off of purchases. Its great. The sales are incredible too theyre currently doing buy two get two free of all Ulta brand products. Also buy 1 get 1 50% off tons of brands right now such as: Loreal, Revlon, Covergirl, Tresemme haircare, Olay skincare, Almay, Maybelline, Neutrogena, Not your mothers haircare, Nyx Cosmetics, Physicians formula, Rimmel, and many more! Not to mention their stocking differs, 5 for 10$! Love it.
Ive never been here, but dont tell google that.
There was someone always checking up to see if we were doing good and the store was clean and organized, one con I will say is that there was only one cashier.
Cant go wrong here!
Found what I wanted in Richland store
They told me the morphe setting spray was 8 dollars but it was 16
Busy, associates standing around talking not helping customers, stock was low or gone on sale items
Good service
They were sold out of a lot of products from a lot of brands, I was so sad that I couldnt find anything I was looking for.
Best place to buy beauty products
Every womans favorite
Clean aesthetic and helpful clerks
Never get out of there with just necessities, too many MUST HAVES in that store GIRL!
Lots of choices. Some pricey
Not sure. No truck parts.
Always lots of fun!
Was treated rudely and the nail job was done poorly
Best place ever.
Martha is a wonderful hair stylist!!!
I couldnt breathe
Like a lot of what they carry.
Ulta has *terrible* customer service.
Always smells like propane, a nasty mix of hair spray and BO
Ultas great!
Very nice staff
Not very helpful
Great choices
Love Kylie.
