Prices are very fair for what youre getting its not the best course in the area but the prices are very modest and the layout of the course is great.
Course was in decent shape considering how little rain weve had. Friendly staff and decent prices.
Great Staff. Course in early spring holds a lot of water but from June on through October it is kept in decent shape. Fairways always kept but only one cut of rough and it is deep kentucky blue grass. Greens medium fast and for mostvof the season kept well except in the real hot days of August. They water but they are still stupid fast. Carts included in green fees but you can walk the course for a discout. I usually try to go later in the day where the play is a bit more relaxed. I am a 20+ handicap so being that my play is a bit slow I like the afternoons better.
This course is by far the worst course in Kenosha. I golf in a league here and am very disappointed. Grass looks like the grass at my uncles house when he hasnt cut his lawn in 3 weeks. You CANNOT find you ball if you are anywhere off the fairway unless you are right on top of it. Ive asked them why the grass is so long and they always have excuses yet all the other courses in town dealt with the same rain and look great. There are bunkers under massive construction, huge dried out spots in fairways. Me and 5 friends could take better care of the course. At the price of $36 for 18 w/ a cart, you could golf Bristol Oaks, Spring Valley, Big Oaks, even the amazing Shepards Crook (during twilight) for cheaper and for a much better experience. Ive added some pictures and will take more when I golf there next week. Dont waste your money.
I love this track. Small greens but very playable.
Beautiful course, even in October.
This course just keeps getting better and better every week! The grounds crew has done a miraculous job putting this course in excellent playing condition this year.Great course for all levels of play.
The greens are in much better shape and the fairways are rolling.
Golf here once a week. Fun, challenging course.
Very good pricing but course is in need of some maintenance
The bang for your money is outstanding.
This course has a beautiful layout. Needs a little TLC. They are putting work into it but with the dry weather, it will be a while till they get it where they want it. Very reasonable rates and the staff is very nice
Its a basic course that plays what you pay for. The greens have a little rot but putt true and the fairways are playable.
I have never golfed a course in worse condition than Maplecrest. It looked like the course hasn’t seen water in three years despite an abundance of rain two weeks ago. My group was shocked that they charged us full price for the conditions of the course.
Great kept course. Playing in the Midwest in September/October it is almost impossible to find a ball in leaves at most courses. Not here, there no leaves!
Great place to golf.
Nice course for the price. Greens could use some work.
Havent played golf here in awhile but was reminded of what a great and challenging course it is. Super clean clubhouse, cold beer and snacks. Everyone there was very friendly and prices are the best around. Cant miss
This golf course was very nice. Courses were nice very well maintained despite the rainy weather. There was always a drink cart nearby roaming around the course whenever a drink was needed.Having a few more bathrooms nearby would be nice and maybe spraying for mosquitos would be a good idea but otherwise this course was a great course especial while we celebrated fathers day.
Its ok. bit boring?
Their website makes you book through golfnow so they dont have to take responsibility for their own terrible service. Prepaying was the only option, so we prepaid for 18 with cart. We get to the course and no carts allowed that day. They said golfnow would refund the difference, okay fine. Then we were standing in line at the 1st tee box at our tee time, and they were so far behind that there were 4 groups ahead of us waiting to tee off. We didnt have time for that late of a start and that slow of play, so we told them we needed to cancel. They said we had to call golfnow to cancel, although calling their number will not connect you to anybody, only recorded messages. Website wont give you any help either. We landed up playing 18 down the street within 15 min of our original tee time with a cart. Dont waste you time at Maplecrest.
Course conditions are excellent. You will use every club in your bag. An enjoyable yet challenging venue.
Great open course. Perfect for those who can’t seem to drive the ball straight. Lost a few balls today, but found more than I lost. Friendly staff, however they did have a limited variety of beer/ craft beer. They were aerating the greens, which makes it very difficult to putt and because of that, they gave me the senior discount. All in all, would play again, would recommend.
Great value for the price. 10$ for 9 holes (walking) after 5:30. Staff is so friendly. Course can be impacted after heavy rains and buggy when winds settle..so bring some spray. Though amazing value. Great beer prices.
It was great not to busy a lot f fun
Always a treat to play here, has a private country club feel!
Tried calling the day before for tee time (5:30) with no answer. Decided to take our chances with no tee time because the website tee time reservation system was wide open. Walked on with no problem at 8:20 am, $15.00 per player for walking (which is what the Maplecrest website indicated). Course was in good shape except for the rough, which was uncut and gnarly due to the heavy rain on Monday. After our round we inquired about a replay at which time we were told we would have to pay for it..(really?) Obviously we know we are paying a fee. We were then told that our replay rate would be $40.00 per player. When I said that our original rate (what their website stated) was $15.00, I was told that the rates had been changed a few days ago, and the website must not have been updated; and, we were charged the wrong rate for our first round. There were two men at the register who both agreed that our replay rate should be $40.00 per person, after we had paid $15.00 per person for our first round. I could see $25.00 for a replay, but $40.00 was way too much for a replay. We were prepared to spend money for refreshments and lunch with a replay, instead, we may never play Maplecrest again.
Always lots of fun at a great price. Course in good condition
Course is a challenge. Roughs are roughs and quite a few trees. For a public course its a great course to find out how straight you hit the ball. Greens were great
For a weekend, lack of help at the course, condition of course pretty good today tho.
Excellent shopping experience, with many selections other stores do not offer. And, the price of my purchase was great!
I had fun playing this course with some relatives and all the staff we encountered were friendly. We had a great deal of $25 with a cart. The drainage on this course is terrible and we had to drive our cart through running and standing water multiple times. Also, the pace of play was slow and they had no one on the course monitoring this.
Golf there last Saturday morning. The entire course is in bad shape. It was only $20 per person for 18 holes but not even worth that. Fairways had long dead grass trimmings. Around the greens the grass was in very bad shape and long along with hardly any sand in the bunkers.Went in to return my golf cart key and get my $2 key deposit back and I said to the guy “Wow, the course is in real bad shape huh?” He responded “That’s what we keep hearing”. I was stunned.
Was there for a wedding the employees were not friendly didnt smile and very slow but the venue looked good
The overall Google rating is very misleading. This course does not deserve a rating of 4 stars and up. This course is extremely average. The course layout is boring and evokes no excitement, it seemed like your typical cornfield farmers course. I will say that the tee boxes were generally in good shape along with the greens. The fairways and everything else was so average.
I would recommend to anyone who likes a slightly challenging course for a reasonable price. Maplecrest is really a local gem!
Great. Course was well maintained. Had a wonderful time.
The course and greens were in horrible shape!
Garbage kept course, did a golfoutting and you couldn’t ask for worse kept fairways, fringes, you name it! Half the machines to clean balls didn’t even have water in them. Save yourself wasting money on this one, this makes Big Oaks look like Thunder Hawk!
Got a good price on Golfnow. Course in ok shape. Super long ruff grass. Drinks at bar are weak
Good course for the price. Best greens on a public course in Racine this year.
Very nice course with lovely staff highly recommend!
Best course for the money, challenging, great place to golf.
Great place club house, course, pricing is wonderful.
Rude staff. Place is falling apart. Don’t waste your time with this dump.
Good food very nice Hall and bar area, reasonable, nice stage area for the DJ
May 2013 after a horrific spring and tooooo much cold and rain the course was growing back into condition. So, as far as turf on the fairways it was hurting a bit that some warm weather will cure. From a purely architectural standpoint the course if VERY good. I never appreciated it as a youngster but now with the trees growing in, it has become a tight and very challenging golf course with a course rating of 71.3 vs. the 71 par.Two of the par threes are on the short side at 125 and 139 but both are a lot stronger than they first appear. The 189 yard 7th, especially with a back pin, is a shot makers delight. If the conditions are not what you want just nudge the ball around. The course is definitely worth playing and, if you appreciate architecture, will not be disappointed.
Nice golf course, best greens around Kenosha.
Great course, and reasonable price. The play was a bit slow.
Nice place, really enjoyed playing the course.
Challenging golf course. Greens are hard to get right. Ash borer has destroyed many of the trees on this course.
Very challenging
Great value, a great service!
Its not a bad course but they have terrible drainage and are a bit too pricey for a course like this.
Good shape for 04-09-19.
Very nice greens were good
Why be open if your fairways are swamps?
Course is in not great shape, still wet,but not terrible. Hope they bring it together.
Nice golf course.
Best greens in Kenosha County.
Rockon place rocks.
Had fun
Real Wet Drainage issues
Cant find balls grass too long.
Nice
It seemed to me that it is on a downward spiral!
More maintenance on high roughs is needed.
Not well maintain
Gone down hill
Nice
Not good
Overpriced
