Beware, GR Auto puts money before reputation and I would avoid doing business with them. I worked out a price on a car last week and set up a PPI inspection this week which I was paying for. The sales person (Laura) agreed to deliver the car the following Tuesday to the mechanic and baring any issues, I would have purchased the vehicle that afternoon.Over the weekend, they accepted an offer on the car and sold it to another party without calling me or giving me the first right of refusal. They had all of Monday to let me know but instead worked with the out of state buyer who was willing to buy the car without an inspection.I guess I expect too much from them to act in an honorable fashion and treat a local customer with respect as opposed to doing what is easiest for them. Not the way I do business and I guess its too much to expect them to operate with the same level or respect and decency.

Though I wasn’t initially comfortable with the Company’s security policy relative to forwarding my trade, title and cash before receiving anything from them, I completed the deal only after extensive research of the Company. They have great cars but there just a broker. I expected alot more. I brought my car home with alot of problems. They have set hrs and wont stay open or do weekends. I went to drive the car and i was told it wouldnt start. It was my own fault for rushing to buy. Its all fixed $$$$$ but good thing i didnt fly there and drive it home. I wouldnt buy anythingfrom them again. So if your thinking of buying get it checked before purchasing from them and take a long drive. They didnt even help me put onto trailer. They said they were closing. Like i said there just a brokerage !!!!!

Thank you for my new to me R32.BUT I had to drive it 200 miles home. And someone either previous owner or you guys did terrible repair work to the high voltage fuse box car had to get towed from south bend to Indianapolis and couldve burn to the ground. And cost me almost 1000 to fix. Not buying a car here again. And to think I left and gave yall a 5 star review. Nevermind

The experience with those that I had communicated with was great, the issue is the vehicle had a fundamental issue. GR Auto Gallery has a buy back program, which I made sure to do all I could within the Guarantee time window. The ownership team (specifically John Hoekstra) repeatedly denied my request for any discussion and I informed their team they needed to come and pick up their vehicle (which is still sitting in my garage after a month and half).Not disclosing that an odometer isn’t functional is a crime. There is no way to know how many miles are on the vehicle. The vehicle was road tested and even today the odometer still reads the same as the first images posted for sale.The sales staff and even the team they contracted with to ship the vehicle were great. Smooth transaction aside from misrepresenting an ‘86 Mercedes and not disclosing a foundational element to justify the sales price. The car was meticulously documented, and yet no one seemed to realize the odometer never ticked a tenth of a mile..Ownership failed their team and took no ownership of a critical issue.

I just purchased a 2009 Saturn sky from GORAN!!! He was absolutely amazing and made the process go so smoothly. He first sent me multiple pictures and a video of the car seeing I do live in a different state and was unable to actually see the car in person, that was scary and nerve racking for me but he made me feel very comfortable and confident that this purchase was one I would not regret and really enjoy. I would not recommend this dealer! Very hard to deal with, only available 9-5 Monday thru Friday. With this type of inventory a lot of customers would have to travel. Im in Colorado and hard to find time to travel to Detroit. Because they would not do a Saturday I had to book about 10 days out. Had a local inspector look at the vehicle on a Thursday AM and he reported back that it had a bad vibration while driving at certain rpms. I spoke to them that day and said I had to book my flight so I was committed to being there the next Thursday in the afternoon. I arrived and test drove the vehicle, it drove even worse that described bad vibration at all rpms. The vehicle had a new 6.0L EFI engine. It ran like a straight 6 with a bad miss. They knew I was coming to buy the vehicle. It would seem they didnt even try to have the problem looked at before I wasted my time and money to get there. Could not spend 80K and have it shipped to Colorado with trust me we will get it fixed. Total lack of respect for their customers time and money wasted ($1,400.00 for nothing). Again, I would feel a little different if they had even tried to fix it before I got there.

A couple years ago I went to GR Auto Gallery to look at a 69 Cutlass. I was out of state by a few hours drive. I made the trip Saturday morning, and looked at the car early that afternoon. They let me look it over all I wanted, start it up, shift it, etc. The only thing I couldnt do was test drive it because it was on consignment. Thats understandable, but in the future they should ask when they accept a vehicle on consignment if the owner will allow perspective buyers to test drive their vehicle. I made an offer and they said they would contact the owner and let me know what they decided. An hour or so on the way home I got a call back from them saying the owner had accepted my offer. They handled the transaction, including shipping, wonderfully. I had the vehicle in hand within the week and the title transfer was without issue. I have absolutely no complaints, the staff was friendly, low pressure, fairly knowledgeable, and the showroom was clean and they had a good selection. I should mention I went to the Metro Detroit location. The transaction went smoothly and Im very satisfied. Would recommend!

Cory Wade, the owner, is one of the rudest and least professional people I have ever dealt with. Not only did I not receive any communication or offers while my vehicle was with them, but when I withdrew the listing from them he was argumentative, aggressive, rude and even attempted to have my listing with one of his competitors taken down months after the vehicle left GR auto gallery. Just pathetic. I caution you to avoid him and this place unless you want your time wasted and a huge headache to deal with.

During the time my vehicle was at GR auto gallery I received no communication whatsoever from Cory, the owner. After repeated attempts at contact, 6 months later I picked up my vehicle. No offers, no contact from GR auto gallery. They were rude when I decided to pull my vehicle from them for lack of performance and there was damage on two body panels. Not only did they refuse to fix but they have gone of out their way to attempt to have my vehicle listing, which I privately listed my own vehicle for sale, taken down on other competitors sites. Cory is one of the rudest and least professional people I have ever done business with and I caution anyone against bringing your car to them.

Do NOT purchase a vehicle from GR Auto Gallery. I spoke with Shaun (Salesmen) in great detail about the vehicle I purchased and had him place in writing three deciding factors:1. The 43K milage shown on the car is original with documentation proving the miles.2. The paint on the car is original from the factory with documentation proving this to be true.3. The interior in the car is original from the factory with documentation proving this to be true.Once I received the written confirmation I agreed to buy the car. When the car arrived and I instantly noticed that the emblem on the back of car was sloping down and crooked. This was my first indication that the body might have been worked on. Once the car was on the ground it was obvious. None of the lines were correct on the car on the passenger side. The fit and finish gaps for the door and trunk were huge, sloppy and uneven. There are ripples where the body shop did a hack job on it. Overspray between the body and the bumpers of the paint. I even found a piece of the trimmed body tucked under the back seat where the bodyshop had cut it off. Lastly, I went into the trunk and found the actual patch where it was welded on.Next I went through the interior and quickly discovered that everything had been replaced with repop materials. We took the back seat apart and flipped it over to see the coils and paper. It was all brand new, paper was still soft and tacky and the tag from the shop that performed the work was left on the coils. (side note: all replacement screws were metric on the entire inside).After viewing the engine compartment it was quickly realized that everything was redone. The previous owner went so far as to find the factory stickers and put them throughout to give it that original feel. To bad they put 351CJ on the carburetor cover, when this a 351 Cleveland. Everything had been painted or replaced through the entire engine compartment. The odds of the engine having original milage are slim to none.I sent all of this to GR Auto Gallery and they said they refused to refund my money AND the cost for the shipping. They claim that there is no way to prove my findings. Even after I sent them a video showing the patch weld and a picture of the trimmed metal they still said seeing the actual bodyshop work does not mean it was done.In essence, GR Auto Gallery either doesnt have a clue what a unmolested original car looks like, or they only protect the seller and not the buyer. Their only intention is to get the car sold no matter what it takes and will say anything to make this happen. They just cross their fingers and hope the buyer doesnt know anything about old cars or wont sue them. This is going to end up being a lawsuit and they could care less.

Very friendly staff, allowing me lots of freedom to look at the considerable inventory at Grand Rapids. Problem was that the two cars I flew up from NC to see were both inoperative; one had a failed fuel pump but they didn’t give me the courtesy of rescheduling my flight - had I known I wouldn’t have flown up.Lots of really nice cars in the $20K range and up - the sub-$10K offerings are average at best. One of the VIN placards was actually a non-screwed, non-riveted adhesive plastic tag from a trophy shop. Sure it matched the title but most states will NEVER approve it for registration.

Gotta love Laura and her “no pressure” sales tactic! Honest and open- she works with great people like Chris and Liz! The receptionist is “top shelf”!

I recently purchased a 2012 R8 from Jeff. To be honest, I had my reservations.... I sent the R8 to an Audi dealer for inspection. The R8 was 100% and all I heard was praise. Also, they had the same year/mileage range R8 on the lot for 11K more than what I paid. When I saw my R8, it was as Jeff said, perfect. I can go on and on, but the truth is, these guys know their cars and care about their clients. This company is a class act....

Have never purchased a vehicle at GR Auto Gallery. However, based on comments made by my niece Angie Rodriguez who is a solid employee there, I sense the commaderi between staff and employees is a fruitful and positive one. More companies should follow in this companys work ethic. Angie is always bubbly and upbeat when she speaks of this company. Shes a lucky employee. 👍👍

I would suggest making an appointment and talk to a sales person before visiting. I was a walk in on a Tuesday afternoon about 1:00 and spent half an hour walking the inventory. I was passed by at least six employees and my presence was not even acknowledged with a nod much less a verbal hello or can I help you. I guess everyone was just too busy to speak to a customer. I had visited their website on several occasions and was excited to see the operation in person. Frankly, it was disappointing.The vehicles are packed in so tight it is difficult or impossible to get near most of the inventory. If a customer did have interest in a vehicle, it would take a monumental effort to pull a car out to look at closely much less drive. I am going to be a little presumptive here but I have the feeling you are expected to look at pictures and take their word as to the condition of the car you may be interested in before anything is moved. It might even require money down or a credit application filled out. I dont know...again, no one spoke to me.While walking the inventory I could see there are some nice and not so nice vehicles in this assortment. This provides a wide range of price points to choose from. It also begs for the old piece of advise...buyer beware.Too bad...as I mentioned above, I was excited to visit and do have plans to purchase a collector vehicle in the near future. Not saying I wont go back but this visit was a real disappointment.

I just took delivery of my 1974 Grand Prix from GR Auto Gallery. The car is beautiful!!!!!! The car was honesty represented on their website with pictures, a video and a detailed description. The transporter was very customer oriented, careful, friendly and a day early with the car. I could not be happier. I consigned my vehicle with GR Auto Gallery in Traverse City. I wished we had agreed on price before I paid the fee. They priced too high for the current market, so there was no chance of selling it. I understand they wanted to swing for the fences, but I really wanted it sold so I could get something else. There were no pictures on auto trader, there were a few spelling errors and my car did not have the 360 degree view that all the others had. I decided to pull my car out after 1 month because I knew it was not going to sell at that price. I was never asked why I was taking it out, or if there was anything they could do to rectify the problem. I felt I was not valued as a client or as a potential customer.

This was the most delightful, auto-buying experience Ive ever had. They have a fantastic staff, completely honest, trustworthy and eager to help in any way possible regarding both my trade-in and my purchase. I bought the car and then had a post-purchase inspection (normally ill-advised) but the car passed with flying colors. Customer service and integrity is a good definition of GR Auto Gallery.

I recently purchased a very hard to find car from Rob at GR Auto Gallery. It was my first foray into buying a car online and I was initially apprehensive about buying a car located 2000 miles away sign unseen. Since I couldnt find a similar car in my home market, I decided to take the plunge.The large number of high quality pictures on GRs website really helped alleviate any concerns about what was going to be delivered. While not quite the same as seeing it in person, they had photos of all the angles and critical areas I was concerned about.Rob was responsive, straight forward, and easy to work with. We quickly negotiated a fair price, worked out the paperwork, and transferred funds. Rob then handed me over to John to coordinate delivery of the vehicle. John was able to quickly find a truck headed my way and booked transport at a very reasonable rate. The trucking company, OK Auto Transport, did an amazing job with the delivery, dropping the car off at my driveway 2 days ahead of schedule, on a Sunday.The car arrived as described in the listing and photos. My only complaint about the whole transaction was that the car arrived a little dusty inside and out, probably due to sitting in their warehouse for several months. A quick cleaning before shipping would have been appreciated, but this is a minor gripe.From first contact to delivery these guys were a class act. This was perhaps the easiest and most satisfying car purchasing experience Ive ever had and I look forward to working with Rob, John and the rest of the GR team in the future.

Great service before and after the sale! I feel like they did a good job of representing me as a buyer, not just the seller. Had a few questions after the sale and they were very helpful and responsive. Would definitely purchase another vehicle here.

Worst customer experience I have ever had. GR Auto was recommended to me by my brother-in-law (who later had serious issues himself.) From the very beginning, I was misled and lied to. It is clear the group at GR Auto says whatever they need to to make a sale. Rob and the owner were particularly deceitful. They both outright lied + went back on their word. I would strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere.When I see negative reviews I often think the reviewer must be an unreasonable malcontent. I assure you that is not the case- without getting into details, buying from GR Auto cost me over $8,000. If you look through these reviews you’ll see many others had similar experiences. I suspect most of the positive reviews come from employees and management there (I know at least one does.)Thank you for reading this and, again, I urge you to go elsewhere.

The cars are not truly worth what they are asking for with shaudy paint jobs and body work on these cars that a kid could do

Terrible communication, tried to pressure me into buying only to then reveal later car needed work done. Never updated me on the progress of the work, had to find out later car was sold to another buyer after being told I would be updated when it was ready for me.

Grand Rapids Auto Gallery is AWESOME! The guys there are great! They said they could sell my car. They asked how much i wanted for my car, kept in touch letting me know when they had a party interested, then called me when the sale was complete. You guys ROCK!!!

What a unique experience! From the time that you walk in the showroom and see all of the beautiful vehicles you just gotta have one. The sales staff is not pushy at all. (Which I appreciate a great deal) The process is simple to purchase a car. Keegan was very professional and helpful. Im going back for my next car.
