Pretty big selection and decent prices - plants, lawn and deck stuff

Always love to stop in and see the new stuff they have for display as the seasons change. There summer items are great for this year. Grabbed a couple things for the patio and seeds for my flower boxes. Cant wait until my next shop day so I can stop back in!

The staff is always super helpful. If they dont know the answer, theyll call over another employee who does.

A little disappointed. I have been to this location many times in the past. The selection has always been better than a number of other stores around town. This year however both the selection and the quality seems far below normal. Additionally the pricing seems a little higher than in the past as well and in line more with the family-owned greenhouses that I have been to recently.

I asked a cashier if there was someone who could help me pick out flowers. She repeated my request back like it was odd. I said if there is no one that can help it ok I can go somewhere else. she said yea, sorry. ...so that was my experience 😕

One of the best nurseries in Grand Rapids area. Lots of flowers, shrubs,and trees. Nice place wear masks and social distancing.

I found the Dairy Doo I needed and some pots to plant in. Veggie Doo is new. So I bought some of that too! I am rhyming. How is that with you? Happy gardening.

I just love this place! Great for plants, of course, but also such great decor deals all year round.

The variety of healthy plants is great. The staff is always friendly, this is my favorite greenhouse in GR.

Always check for pests on the plants!!This has been my favorite plant store for quite sometime but yesterday I stopped in & found a big amount of mealybugs on an aloe plant so I took it to a worker & she barely acknowledged me, trashed the plant & didnt bother to check the surrounding plants, which was a huge table full of lots of aloe. pests can really mess up your beloved collection of indoor plants so just be careful when bringing home plants from any store!!Ill still shop here just kinda salty about some of the encounters Ive had here.

The store is always full of beautiful, unique items for your home. The plants and landscaping supplies are fantastic.

Flowerland is a bit of a misnomer. They have trees, many Christmas things during the season. We have purchased flowers here many times. Outdoorplantschristmasland might be a better name. Marginally expensive, but knowledgeable staff.

Bulb selection was very limited this year. Delayed my online order to support local. Drats!

Selection was great. Service outside in plants was poor. Staff chatted amongst themselves and ignored me needing assistance. I called the store and requested assistance but none came.

This store has almost everything you can imagine. It seemed very well organized. My only complaint was the outdoor furniture was very overpriced. $299 for a table not more than 10X 12 and made of plastic...

I shopped specifically for phlox I went in and looked around a bit couldnt find any I asked three people where they where one girl working outside said she was new didnt know I found a guy he didnt know he said he worked in nursery then went to cashier she said they were outside ( no kidding) come on flower land your a plant store I left empty handed poor service!!!

Best place to get your bird seed. Was just there and people were very considerate and everyone had a mask on.

Just drove over 90 minutes to get my fall bulbs.They have the best I have ever planted. Love the variety and have good selection of unusual plants also. Love it when there is a sale since their prices are on the higher end. But really love this store. I agree with several other comments that the employees could be friendlier. I just think that is what you get with younger employees these days. I still give them a good rating and usually make it over twice a year and spend hundreds of dollars but my lawn shows well for all that drive in the driveway.

They have a nice selection of houseplants, but 2 of the plants Ive gotten here in the last few months turned out to have mealy bugs. I am typically very thorough in checking for pests before buying a plant, but unfortunately I guess I wasnt thorough enough when buying from this Flowerland location.

Good selection of plants, gifts and outdoor needs. They have good sales. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their plants are healthy and I have never had an issue with them. At Christmas they have a wide selection of trees and decorations that you cant find elsewhere.

One of the best stores in Grand Rapids, MI for holiday decor..Especially Christmas ornaments. The selection is varied, in style and in price. Right now, there is a 25% off sale going on for many, many of them. It has been a destination for my Christmas shopping for years.

Local plant and flower store with wide variety of healthy looking plants, flower and landscaping items. Patio furniture, birding supplies, seeds and most things needed for landscaping. Not really a discount type store. If you want the absolute lowest price maybe consider lower quality stores. Great and frendly staff.

Love this place! Found the Strawberry Shortcake Hydrangeas and marigolds I wanted. Worth the 1 hour drive!!! Also, it is set up and organized very well!

I regret purchasing anything from here!!. The prices were high comparatively, but my husband spoiled me with purchasing some plants ($250) for our anniversary. Including an $80 rose tree and 2 rose shrubs. The tree never came back this spring. At checkout the cashier told me to keep my receipt because there is a year warranty. Upon going to the store to inquire about the warranty a girl tells me they dont cover roses, only until October of the year it was purchased. ( purchased June 24, 2017) years I asked if there was anything they could do since it was such an expensive plant that died. She said NO.Im shocked that there is nothing they would do, and really saddened that my gift from my husband is dead and a lot of wasted time and money! I have purchased many, ( probably over 50 plants elsewhere) . They all had a year warranty no questions asked. Which Ive only ever used once. I take a lot of care with my garden. Needless to say, Im very disappointed and wish someone wouldve tried to make this right.

Passing through town, we decided to stop to look for a pot and stand for a Hindu rope plant that is huge. We found something even better than we expected. Were managing to haul it home in the back of my Envoy.

I like the employees, they are always friendly and helpful. The company itself has some things to be desired. Seems what I want most is always just out of stock. Standard reply is two weeks to get in. By then my plants are too far gone. Also, if its not on sale, its too expensive. I love the concept, but dislike the lack of management to be better structured. Thank you very mulch.

Friendly staff, well-stocked. They always seem to have some kind of plant you cant find anywhere else. This is where I got my celery seedlings this year, as well as pineberries and shallot set.

I visited flowerland for the 1st time they didnt have good customer service their were two ladies on the floor moving plants I had a question about a plant the 1st cahier called them on walkie-talkie 3tines they ignored call we had to walk over to them they were very nonchalant then the second cashier that cashed me out was fairy yeah attitude is no high I bought two bags of dirt four 5 flowers and Stans didnt offer to help me to my car I had to ask for help I will not be back to this place I will stick with Horrocks

They have a great selection of indoor plants, probably the best in Grand Rapids. Although, every single plant I have brought home has been infected with mealybugs.

The store is clean. Not much in the way of inviting though. What merchandise they do have displayed is on the pricy end. Just three other customer were present. Saw only two employees and neither acknowledged my wife, or I. A third employee; at the register, was kind and courteous to us when we checked out. By the looks of things, this store that has been around for many years, just isnt pulling in the shoppers anymore, and this was on a Saturday. I assume this store does its best sales in Spring and Sumner for outdoor gardening and landscaping. Sadly, I wont be surprised to see this store shut down if those type of sales dwindle.

I walked in prepared to spend a couple hundred dollars and not a single employee acknowledged me. As a matter of fact two of them were sitting on the patio furniture having a conversation and laughing. The others just looked at me and kept walking. Maybe it’s because I’m a young black man.

September 2019 Update: Thankfully, they have stopped posting the pet tags. I appreciate that move. I’ve been really impressed by their houseplant health and selection this year, so I’m updating my review.—————I was Googling houseplants while shopping to see which were safe for cats, and I noticed a tag on some of the items said Pet Friendly when the ASPCA and other sources said that those plants are absolutely 100% NOT PET FRIENDLY. This could be very dangerous for someone who doesnt verify the safety of their plants. I tried to approach a worker to let them know, but they ducked and dodged me - and I swear it was on purpose. I took down some of the incorrect tags, but really wish they would either do proper research, or not use the tags at all.

Well stocked for all your outdoor beautification and enjoyment needs. Just difficult for the novice to know where to begin.

Not a big fan of this place. In three visits over the years staff always seems indifferent bordering on rude. They have a pretty big selection of items but youre kind of on your own to wonder through the place aimlessly unless you want to deal with the staff.

I should start by saying that I am not much of a plant/flower person. However, my wife and I have started buying a variety of plants for our apartment and we have gone here for most of our purchases.Last month we bought a house plant and also had them pot it for us. Just this week we noticed small, white, fuzzy bugs on some of the stems. I called and spoke to the store manager and she told me that we had melee bugs. She said I could bring the plant in and change it out for another one right away. I did not have a receipt nor had I worked with her at any point in the past. This made no difference at all as I was treated very kindly and had replaced the plant the same day.I love the selection and expertise available and plan to be a repeat costumer.
