You have to be kidding me! I bought a shining fates booster pack from them on Amazon and it’s resealed with glue!!! I cannot believe my eyes! Super shady stay awayEDIT: after opening it was indeed resealed. I got a white and green card with no ultra rates. You guys are truly the worst people in the hobby.

I love this place because of my need to build model kits. There’s really no other place around town that has this much variety packed into one store. From pops to action figures to trading cards, etc. this place has it all. It’s like nerdvana

Very poor experience, showed up to play with friends at 8 pm, store closes at 10 pm. Store charges 5 dollars per person, for 4 hours, had friend pay 40 dollars for 2 hours, for 8 people. Management would not work with us for playing only half the time, multiple tables open so not a congestion issue. And got kicked out 10 minutes early. Do not recommend this store for gaming

Scalping in storefront fashion. everything is overpriced by 30-100+% above msrp absolutely disgusting how much some of there product cost compared to every other local supplier. save your $ and go buy 2 of whatever your after some other place for the same price as 1 in galactic toys what a joke🤣

Cool place to find table top games like D&D, Warhammer, and board/card games.There was a Magic the Gathering event going on when I was there. People were playing matches against each other. Ive never played the game so I couldnt tell you what was happening or how good the players were, but everyone was friendly and were having fun.

Have ordered online a couple times and have had no issues what so ever. Looking for to ordering again.

They dont have a lot of older material but for newer collectable figures and games this is a solid stop, especially if you play Magic: The Gathering

Was there during a MTG (Magic The Gathering) event, so was a bit busy.Its a sizable location, staff are attentive, if you have questions.Theres a sizeable assortment of games to buy, miniatures and model sets available to peruse.Not a wide variety of paints for miniatures, due to shelf life, but they do have paints and tools for their model sets, so thats cool.

Im never a fan of ordering things online--I prefer to go into a store and see it before I make a purchase--and Im wary of ordering online from small stores, but Im glad I decided to go for it. The website was easy to use, the product came within the predicted time frame, as advertised, and in good condition. Great variety and quality. I will be coming back here for future occasions when I need to make geek acquisitions.

I placed an order back in May 2020, and it was partially fulfilled, with a delivery date of Dec 2020. When trying to follow up with the rest of the order i was told it was already fulfilled and they updated the order with July 2 2021, even though the items were never sent, and said there was nothing they could do. They blamed the delay on covid initially and are now trying to wipe it under the rug and not refund or fulfill the order. I will never do business with them again, and suggest not wasting your time.

Warning not the place to go for Pokémon cards, they weigh the single packs and over charge, if you want non Pokémon related items then this store is fine

The premier location for all things DND in the west Michigan area. Fair warning: if you go looking for video games here, you will be disappointed (google sent me here).However, if you are interested in one of many different types of Tabletop Adventures, from the Medieval fantasy of Dungeons and dragons to pathfinder, the terrifying world of 1920s Lovecraft horror, to zipping around on your very own firefly, or even collectible card games and models, this is definitely your store.

Lots of fun and large collectable selection, D&D but pricing was a bit high on some items, even so we plan on coming back we where super happy with our purchases.

Nerd hobby heaven! The staff seem to care about the hobby as well and if they dont have something on the shelf you can ask and theyll let you know if its something they can get in for you. We went and got my daughter her first (non hand me down) set of dice and the awesome guy behind the counter was as excited about her geeky milestone as we were. Even though its a long drive for us its such a treat to go out and shop here. ❤️

While the posting was a tad odd, which I blame the post office here; I am beyond happy with my order. I had to pay a bit more for what I ordered than what most sights offer, but considering how scare it is to find the kit I bought, it was well worth it. Not only that, but I got my order almost 10 days sooner than I was told, this really made my day. Thanks and I will definitely see what else you have to offer.

Excellent store, but was really looking forward to buying some MTG singles but their selection was rather limited. The employee behind the counter directed me to their in store computer. I ended up just leaving after searching for a little bit.

Never purchase from their online website. I tried their mystery box 📦 and exclusive bundles and I ended up getting 3 copies of the lowest value. They dont equal the value of the mystery box and there is a 20 percent restocking fee. If its cheaper than anywhere else go for it but they have the worst mystery boxes and customer service.

Pretty good inventory of items. Although a bit pricey, you cant help but perk up when you see items from your side of the nerdom. A great selection of Magic: The gathering cards, and stuff behind the counter, as well.

Forgot about it until now (crazy year) and they refuse to help even though the tracking info says it was not shipped because they say it has been too long. Ordered a box of time spiral remastered boosters and they never sent the item. They created a shipping label then never sent it to usps but then went on to claim usps had lost my shipment when they never even touched it. They probably opened kept it and sold it in store once the price inflated and left me unable to even get a replacement as they are all sold out now. I am reporting them to Wizards of the Coast they shouldn’t be able to “sell” their products. Stay away from this place the only guaranteed items you’ll get are ones you get walking into the store physically. All online sales appear to be free game for this stores scams.

Owner is getting greedy and grubby! I preordered a box of Strixhaven Set Booster - today was the prerelease, so I shouldve been able to get my box today. Supposedly, they didnt get many in, so they arent giving them to the people who preordered - but theyre sure selling them to walkins.Heres the beauty - I already paid, weeks ago. AND, the owner wasnt giving membership holders the 10% off that we PAY $25/year for. So, I paid early, I didnt get my discount, and now I have to wait for something Im supposed to have today. I refuse to do further business here, and have reported them to Wizards of the Coast.

Its quiet, respectful atmosphere is good for kids. Best prices for card events in grand rapids. LARGE collection of figurines/models and the owner can get it fast if he doesnt have what you want in stock. Staff is knowledge able on most games and willing to play but still prioritize costumers who are shopping over playing a game themselves.

I usually dont leave reviews, unless Ive been un-pleased with service but galactic has become my staple over the past few months. I cant say enough about how friendly the staff is and helpful. Some of their Gaia paint selections were priced differently thank their website displayed and the employees were more than helpful in checking updated prices of each individual color I had selected. The inventory gets stocked regularly, you typically dont see a empty spot on the shelf and I aways find a kit Im after st the time. I appreciate everything they do to fuel my hobby of gunpla. If you have not visited the store and are curious as to if this is the place for you to shop then this is your answer. Dont hesitate to stop Im, ask questions or have a casual conversation. Many of these employees are are in to the same things as you!

Not only did this merchant have my model, they had coupon codes and 2 day shipping options! I ordered my model Saturday night and received it Tuesday morning. Friendly staff, areas for tabletop gaming with regular meetups, some to play, some to work on characters, scenery, etc. What can best be described as a large selection of everything covers all shelves. Magic and Warhammer are the two local favorites according to staff, find them on Facebook for specific days and times as it varies somewhat. Id recommend accessing the parking lot via 29th street to avoid any hangups on 28th street. Easy business to spot, lots of parking.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Placed an order for a child’s birthday. 16 days later it’s the day of his birthday and the order still hasn’t arrived. I’ve been asking this company for help locating the package for the last nine days. They could have easily sent another order in plenty of time or refunded me and I could have order from some other company. They have done nothing except give generic excuses and tell me to wait five more days then three more days and so on. Their shipping stated 5-8 days when I placed the order which gave me plenty of time to receive it before the day it was needed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I ordered a few replacement things from Amazon four days before the party and got them two days later thank goodness so this child wouldn’t be heartbroken on his birthday. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!USE ANOTHER COMPANY TRUST ME YOU’LL BE SORRY AND BROKE WITH NO PACKAGE HELP OR CONCERN AT ALL FROM THEM

If you arent in person or friends with the owner then you are fair game to be treated like garbage at best but more likely just completely ignored. They also have no problem driving up the market price on their own exclusives. This company is completely greed fueled and and would rather take advantage of people than provide an honest service.

It was a good gaming store. They had warhammer 40000, A whole bunch of D and D. Gaming cards, End a nice variety of board games. They had a larger than life Batman for sale, Also a lifesize Harlequin figure. That was a $1000.

This company doesn’t care about their clientele. Reprints of Hidden Fates tins? $50 each. Day of release for Champions Path? ETBs are $100 each. Darkness ablaze double pack blisters? Double or more what all other stores are asking.I am not going to support a “local gaming store” that takes advantage of their patrons. Might as well pay scalpers less on eBay. I would be OK if this company doesn’t survive if they treat customers this way. Harsh but true.

I placed an order with Galactic Toys on December 10, 2020. I paid for expedited shipping on a funko mystery 6 pack with 1 limited edition chase. It’s now Saturday December 19, 2020 and Usps says they still do not have my package and Galactic toys saying they shipped it. Obviously they didn’t if it’s stillSitting at your store ready to be shipped. I wouldLike my items I paid for or a reimbursement on my shipping bc this is ridiculous. You give me the run around. Not only is ordering+shipping gunpla to the UK from this place the same or cheaper than from a Japan based retailer. But it also arrives a whole lot faster with tracking.Cant recommend them enough for ordering japanese related hobby goods.

Galactic Toys is a great store for collectors and gamers alike! I’d recommend shopping there in person rather than their online store though.The staff are friendly, open, and knowledgeable. They’re always willing to help if you need anything. Check these folks out!

Awesome selection but prices are high. If your into MTG, then Goldmine Comics on 54th street has better prices.

Seller inflates prices after refunding items sold at a lower price. If their prices at the time of purchase do not yield them the profits they seek they will raise them after returning the price previously advertised on their site. This is a common tactic for MTG sellers who do not think ahead and oversell a product. The item is question went from $100 to $140 between the time of purchase and today. I do not recommend this retroactive cash grab.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!! Ordered an expensive pop ($185) from the website. Waited for shipping details. Nothing. I contact them (a week later) and they tell me that they don’t have the POP I paid for but they a newer version if I wanted. The newer version is way cheaper than the POP I first tried to purchase, so why would I do that. Be careful when buying from this place unless it’s in person. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE THIS WEBSITE FOR ONLINE PURCHASES!

Bought from them online, pretty great gunpla prices and theres always a 10% coupon or a 15% off. During covid gunpla prices are inflated to hell every where and galactic toys is consistently a decent value and I managed to get a xn 00 raiser a while back for only 2 dollars above msrp with shipping included when everywhere else was selling it for $90+ since its a fairly limited print item. Ordered from them again recently and hopefully they continue this level of service and pricing.edit 7/27/21: unfortunately gunpla shortage is likely hitting them as well by this point. sales are a bit sparse and prices are higher but generally speaking they are still better deal than most other shops. got a RG full armor unicorn a month or so ago for like $54 shipping included which makes it basically just a dollar or so above MSRP

I stopped in here because its right next store to one of my favorite restaurants. A fun store with tons of selection. I ended up making a purchase and feel as if the prices are comparable to other toy stores. Paid for 1 day shipping & it’s day 4 with no tracking number . Customer service is nice but it takes them a full day to respond to emails . It’s very irritating paying for something & not receiving it . I only use this site but I’m starting to really give up on these guys .

Just ordered some kits and it arrived in a timely manner. They have some classic gundam kits selling for retail which was a big surprise for me. If you are looking for kits at great prices, come here and purchase them.

Decent selection, had to practically beg for help though. Went their before this lock down for a birthday gift, and even though there were several workers there they seemed very fixated on the people playing games at the tables in the back rather than the people actually looking to spend money. I will be taking my business back to that store on division instead.

Well this used to be my favorite card shop in town. But today the guy made us place orders on the computer and didnt want to help with any questions. Theyve gotten too big for their own good and lost connection with the player base. I didnt buy any of the cards I needed. If I gotta order on a computer AT a card shop I might as well order from Card Kingdom and get better prices.
