The staff at Vision Works in Kernersville is always friendly and helpful. One employee in particular stands out, her name is Shelia. Shelia has helped me on multiple occasions. I was having trouble with the bifocal in my lenses and with Shelias help, I was able to get the problem resolved. Shes friendly, patient and very knowledgeable. I will definitely use VW in the future!

Called to make an appointment...was told i would be called back with appointment availability in a short while.... and Nothing. I have the preferred insurance they sent me a mailer about. So i called them. Automated answering service and still NOTHING. Im sure they will call me and use some excuse like Covid19 problems. Dont reccomend this place at all...hell, just go to Wal-Mart eye center. Im sure they will atleast make you an appointment. For what thats worth..

Bruce is one of the rudest, most condescending people Ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. If you cant go to the High Point Road location and have to come to Kernersville, decline his assistance and ask to deal with someone else. My family will never use Visionworks again.

Very unprofessional and unpredictable. Had an appointment for eye exam and when I reached the store, they told me it was cancelled.The person on reception first tried to tell me that they called me and my Voicemail was full . I showed my call history and they realized it was an admin error at their endTook half a day to make it to this appointment and this was a very disappointing experience

Nice and friendly staff. I just wish when I picked my frames, they would have let me know that they were small for my face. An ad now states within 100 days they can be changed. Of course I am almost 20 days over.

I needed a couple of pairs of glasses, so I went to visionworks hoping to get my moneys worth. I wasnt expecting much as you pay in other ways for budget glasses. Overall the staff, were unfriendly and stiff. It was obvious they didnt like working there and while I was there were constantly complaining about one thing or another. In any case I received my glasses in a week or so at a MUCH higher cost than the ads say they will be. Two pair for 49 bucks. Mine were $200 after vision insurance. They lasted about 6 months before breaking and when I brought them back to the store, I was just rudely told they couldnt fix them and that was it. They offered to give me the address of a person in Winston that might fix them, but I already knew about him. I wont go back here again.

Wonderful bubbly eye Dr. and amazing staff at Visionworks. Received our sunglasses just in time for vacation and they are perfect.

The staff were absolutely amazing. They looked at my need and got me what i needed. Finances arent great for me and they were willing to help with what money i did have. If i was asked would i refer them to any one it would be all caps YES!!!! The doctor was truely amazing also. She was so nice and friendly. The lady that did my glasses was the best ive ever had. Would recommend you guys anytime

Very friendly people thats why they got a star. Made my visit very difficult and wouldnt help me figure out my insurance, kept saying I didnt have coverage. I was told Id receive a call back and when I didnt and I reached out I was told I needed to go somewhere else to get glasses. No problem I wont go back in there ever again. Couldnt believe a place like this would treat people so badly.

Brought my mother here to shop for glasses after she had cataract surgery. We wanted to find a store who accepted her insurance so we called around first to check. Bruce was very helpful on the phone and answered all our questions so we went there the next day even though we live in Greensboro. The service we received was amazing.Michelle took excellent care of us, and we spent two hours looking at pretty much every frame in the store...there were hundreds to choose from. The whole staff was very friendly and patient with all of our questions and both of us ended up buying a new pair of glasses that we are very happy with.

All around great experience! Dr. Harrill has a fun loving personality but also very professional. She and her assistant had patience with me as I am a first time contact lense wearer. Also, Jeff is hoot who helped my daughter and I pick the perfect eye glasses. I highly recommend.

We purchased some glasses through visionworks and had a great experience. Good customer service. No pressure. They figured out our insurance and everything for us. Would use again. Also Dr. Herril is the independent optometrist who has an office on site and she is wonderful!

I came into the Kernersville office to buy a specific set of glasses that the online chat said they had in stock at the warehouse. Michelle took my information and started looking up the particular set of frames I was wanting. She informed me that the warehouse didn’t show any in stock and that there were possibly 8 out in the shops, but they each showed only one in stock. She was very up front and informed me that this normally means that they actually don’t have it and the system hasn’t updated. She then proceeded to call every store to personally have each store verify. Most of them did not have the frames in stock, a couple were too busy. 1 store got her contact information and said they would look and let her know. 20 minutes later while I am looking at possible alternate frames, the other store called back and let her know they had them in stock. Michelle asked that they ship them to her. She could have easily dismissed me and told me to order another pair or maybe called one or 2 stores that were nearby and then go on to say “see, I told you they wouldn’t have them.”, but she didn’t do that. Michelle went above and beyond and I am so grateful and appreciative of the effort she put forth. It is the service like this that will keep me coming back in the future. Thank you, Michelle and the Kernersville Visionworks! You guys Rock!

My son broke his glasses on Christmas Eve and Jeff was amazing and worked hard to find a set of frames to fit the existing lenses. Will come back here for all my vision needs for sure!!

We got there a little after 6pm, put our name on the list, was called about 15 mins later. Told the lady we are looking for glasses for my son. Was told they close at 7 and we either needed to wrap it up quickly or come back another day. It was 6:25 by this point. We promptly left. We’ll make it another day alright, just not here.

I took my Dad there to get glasses & Jeff helped us out. Great service & great prices! We were very pleased! I highly recommend them!

Like another review I read I too had issues with the customer service at this location.My husband bought his glasses at the Greensboro location, but Kernersville is closer to us. Yesterday we stepped into the store because the frame and lenses were having issues. Upon trying to explain this to Jeff an another colleague in this location they brushed off our concerns and even went to the extent of expressing they would not remake the defective product.So we left and went back to the Greensboro store where immediately we were waited on and the frames were replaced.Jeff and this store need to learn about customer service and as far as this customer is concerned DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!

Went to Visionworks to get my first pair of glasses. Michele was very helpful and made sure I was aware of the deals going on (buy one get one 50% off). Im terrible at making decisions but she was patient with me 🙂

To whom it may concern: I would like to comment on two of you employees for their out of the box help. Michele Ward and Chris Smith. Went out of their way to take time to put me at ease about cataract surgery. Chris took the time and sat with me and explained the surgery which put my mind at ease. He was pleasant and never rushed me and answered all of my questions. Michele advised me that when it was done to come in and pop out the lens and offer any assistance I might need. Also that medicare covers glasses, no one else told me that. You need more employees like these and if more places had them we wouldnt the problems we have today.

Michele was the associate that helped me with my selection. She was extremely outgoing and very pleasant. Everything was easy to selecting and coming back to pick up glasses. She adjusted them perfectly. Highly recommend Visionworks at Kernersville and the associate, Michele.

They messed up my appointment. I had a e-mail confirmation and they still called me a liar saying I was a day early when I wasnt. I had it in black and white never seeing them again!

Had the great fortune to work with Becky to select two new pairs of glasses. I found her to be professional, patient and very knowledgeable about VWs product line. She even took the time to readjust and clean a pair of glasses I did not purchase from VW. I have been in customer service for 30 years and know excellent service when I see it-Becky checks all the boxes!!!

Exemplary service. Went in with bent, lopsided frames and green pads, but after Becky took care of me its like I have new glasses! Wasnt a customer when I went in but I am now.

Very poor customer service. Went in to get new glasses and also inquired about getting glass inserts made for my motorcycle glasses. At the time there was a buy-one/get - one deal. I wasnt able to get the deal due to the clerk (becky) not knowing if they could make the inserts. I asked her to make a phone call and inquire, to which she told me to come back 4 hours later when someone who knew would be there. Its okay not to know an answer to a question, its not okay to at least try to find the answer to the question, when your job is in customer service. Selection and prices were decent. I know I wont be back solely due to beckys poor attitude. However, the Davis eye center next door was great and extremely flexible and helpful.

I priced them at a competitor/eye doctor in kernersville and they were So expensive, I went to costco (terrible) and walmart (closed) before I went to Visionworks and I WISH i had just gone to Visionworks. Michele W. Helped me from start to finish and she was Amazing! And so nice! Working with her turned my whole crappy search for glasses I could afford experience around. She contacted my insurance for me to see how I could get the beat deal for glasses and sunglasses. She was honest with me about what looked good (bc i couldnt see the demo frames without glasses) and helped me pick a super classy pair that was affordable which i Love!!!! On top of that Ive never had prescription sunglasses and she walked me through what would work best for me and my budget and took the time to price out all of the options so I could make an educated decision. This woman is a GEM, I highly recommend Visionworks because of their excellent customer service, there were two other associates whose names i didnt get but they all came over to see which frames fit my face best and would work with my extremely high powered prescription. But seriously, Michele turned my whole day around- it was such a pleasant experience all around!
