I’m absolutely infuriated! I ordered a cake for a friends surprise birthday party. Instead I’m the one who got a surprise. The picture on the left is what I ordered and expected.. the right is what I got. What makes me the most upset is that if they couldn’t give me that height, which they said they “could” when I ordered it, why would they go threw with the order? Then at pickup told me they have never made cakes that tall. And I guess I don’t have to get into details about the design of the cake you can all see for yourselves absolutely so sad. I paid $82.73 and was only refunded $25. Never again will I order from this bakery!
Bought some cupcakes for my family and I to enjoy. The variety and flavors were great. Also tried the Key Lime Keto Pie, and loved it. Great place!
The cupcake was good. The strawberry flavor could have been stronger and strawberry jam inside would have been a nice touch. The frosting was plain. I might try a different flavor next time to see is it was just the strawberry one that wasnt great. The staff here were super nice. The variety of flavors was great.
I went in 2 weeks before our twins party and showed them a picture of what I wanted. Not only did they succeed with the design, THE TASTE MATCHED IT!! We didn’t have any left and everyone kept asking where did I get this cake. I will definitely be ordering again. I attached a picture of what I wanted vs what I received 👏🏾👏🏾
They are the best. They made me a wedding cake and it stole the show. My colors were rose gold and royal blue. They got my colors perfectly. Our two flavors were strawberry and white almond We had a dessert table thar my daughter. who is a pastry chef and my best friend sister the candy 🍎 lady made yummy and beautiful sweets for. But wen everyone saw the beautiful cake. that i wasnt getting cutting until. Sunday. And the strawberry taste like strawberries and moist as well as the white almond and the icing was just right we found a new cake place and the staff are so friendly and helpful.
Updated review: I will give three stars because the cake was good. The design to me, did not match my inspo photo. They reached out to me to fix it, but my Daughter’s party was today, and that was just not possible.
Cakes and All Things Yummy went above and beyond for my moms 50th birthday! The cake was delicious and the cupcakes were perfect and moist. Highly recommend for any and all occasions!!

My first time here I wanted to order some cupcakes for a friends baby shower. She wanted chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing. They instead gave me chocolate cupcakes with white icing. On a separate visit to buy a single cupcake it was so dry I couldnt eat it. Im not sure how old and stale they let the cupcakes get in thier display and will still sell, but this one was not good. Then had a friend order 24 cupcakes for $60 wanting some really festive decorations and all they did was a few sprinkles, very dull and underwhelming. If you really want to give them business definitely ensure that the products you buy are not stale and too old and make sure they are clear on what you are wanting or you can just expect some sprinkles and that is all for decorations. Also make sure you dont waste your money with getting the wrong flavors like I did. Best to go with Maxi Bs. Its 30 minutes more for me to drive there but they have never sold dry cup cakes and always deliver on spectacular decorations. With this place it seems hit or miss if you get dry stale cake or not.
Update: now my husband is asking for cake and he doesnt have a sweet tooth!Been waiting anxiously to get here - purchased a slice of chocolate turtle cake (generously sized), a pecan something cupcake (giant) and a red velvet cupcake (also huge).Just now tasting the chocolate cake and it is great! Moist. Almost spongy in its bounce back, not airy. But not like a brick like those mass produced ones you get in restaurants.Cant wait to try more, I am so glad to be near them!They also hold classes and I look forward to taking some.
The taste if the cake was phenomenal but I was sorely disappointed in the decoration of the cake, had a rock and roll theme but the only decoration was a small line of musical notes on the cake. I expected much more for a wedding cake. Its a good thing that Im only marrying once.
I purchased a $55 birthday cake from this place. It was my sisters 18th birthday, and that’s a pretty special thing, right? So I thought I’d go here and get her her dream cake. I placed the order, and told them I wanted a marble cake with butter cream and cream cheese icing. When I came back to pick up the cake, everything on the outside looked perfect. It wasn’t until later that night that I was embarrassed. My sister cuts the cake after blowing out the candles, only to find that the cake itself is red velvet. Remind you, I ordered a marble cake. The only “marbled” part about it was the icing, which appeared to have a marble design to it. We couldn’t help but laugh at it, because where did they even get red velvet from? And why marble the icing? Not to mention the cake was kinda dry, and the outer icing tasted weird. They have alright cupcakes, but I will never be purchasing a cake from here again.

Whenever we visit NC, CAKE is always a stop we have to make. I end up taking orders for my family back home in NY. There hasnt been a cupcake I didnt love. However, this trip a pumpkin chocolate chip cake caught my eye. I bought a slice. Oh. My. God. Probably one of the best cakes I have ever had. I went back the next day to get more and bought a slice of chocolate as well. Havent tried the chocolate yet but pretty darn sure it will be amazing. My only complaint is I have missed out on so many opportunities to buy a cake slice during all my past visits. Cant go wrong with any choice here. Not to mention, the staff is always so nice. I believe one is always the owner who comes out most of the time for a quick chat. I highly recommend! And always available to be a taste tester if your looking!

Cake & All Things Yummy was an opportunity stop based on me being in the area. First time being in the area and a local/regular recommended and directed me to it. She even recommended a specific cupcake and I will speak on that in a second.Came on Saturday 3-13-21 to somewhat of a line outside as they only allow two parties in at a time. The line moved however.The aforementioned local directed me to get the pineapple coconut cupcake. I also purchased a white chocolate almond one as this looked great as well. Of course there were plenty of flavors to choose from and ready to roll. I believe they were around $3.39 each and this is comparable to like places I have been. The white chocolate almond was good and a reorder, but the pineapple coconut one was fantastic. Pieces of pineapple throughout the cake, moist, and the icing and coconut shavings were about as good as it gets. Do yourself a favor and get this. Get more than one. Because...damn.The employee helping did mention that one cupcake flavor that I cant remember, the full price of of it would be donated (in some form) to Officer Sean Houle of the Kernersville PD. Officer Houle was shot three times while on duty. I am not a Kernersville citizen, but I appreciate community supporting police and other first responders.Go get the pineapple coconut cupcake. Now.
I’ve enjoyed cupcakes in the past from Cake and All Things Yummy, but a recent experience will make me a loyal customer. My family ordered a sheet cake for a college graduation celebration, and as I was bringing it out of my car to take inside, the box fell out of my hands, splitting the cake in half. I was distraught and quickly called the bakery to see if anything could be done about ordering another cake, 30 minutes before closing on a Friday and with less than 24 hours notice. Not only did the bakery go above and beyond to help me order an alternate cake, but when I started to break on the phone, the woman I spoke to was so comforting and encouraging. She was incredibly kind to help my family celebrate a graduation that was otherwise cancelled by the pandemic, and I am so grateful. And might I add, the Swiss miss cake was delicious!
Love this local cup cake shop. They make absolutely beautiful custom order cake! Our favorite is carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and pecan pound cake!

Very disappointed with my experience this past weekend. A total waste of $55. The cake looked very nice on the outside, the customer service was fine as always, but the cake had no flavor (cookies & cream) and was very dry. I am stunned. After a few bites, we just threw the cake away, was not edible and embarrassing to have served that to my guests. I will no longer be a customer. Very sad because in the past I have had a couple of other cakes from here and my brothers wedding cupcakes were from here as well. Thanks but no thanks.
Absolutely lives up to the name “yummy”! Took home half a bunt cake (Chocolate chip) straight out of the case at like 4pm and had it at 7pm with my family - it was delicious! It was perfectly moist and had soft chocolate chips and sweet icing. I only took a small sliver (cm or less) of it and it satisfied me the rest of the night. Cake & All Things Yummy has been so wonderful to work with. Ive put in two cake orders over the past few weeks and theyve gone above and beyond to make sure the cakes exceed my expectations. The cake I picked up last weekend absolutely did, and I have no doubt the cake Im picking up on Saturday will as well. I first heard about their store when a friend ordered a cake and cupcakes for my baby shower from them and it was all beautiful (and delicious)! Outside of special orders, Ive stopped by on a few occasions to pick up some sweet treats and every cupcake Ive ever purchased here has been delectable. If youre a sweet lover like I am, do yourself a favor and stop by!
We used Cake and All Things Yummy for our wedding, and we are so thankful we did! I loved all of their flavors but my favorites were White Chocolate Almond and Pink Lemonade. They were very professional throughout the entire process, are very reasonable and work to fit your budget, and the tasting is free if you book. They delivered our cake to the ceremony on time and made it look so beautiful! Plus, all of their flavors are SO yummy. To top it off, they give you a free cake on you one year anniversary! Couldnt have asked for a better bakery for our special day!
This place is home baked goodness at its delicious finest! We had the 5 flavor pound cake and lemon bars. The cake was moist, dense and full of flavor. Buy with icing on top for more sweetness ($4.00 extra but worth it). The lemon bars were light and crunchy with the perfect balance of lemon and sweet. They also carry a variety of cupcakes, cookies and cake pops. Try to your budgets content....and best if all, the smells are free!

My husband works near the bakery and brought home four cupcakes for us. 2 chocolate with chocolate butter cream frosting and 2 red velvet. I have to say the butter cream frosting is amazing!! We all thoroughly enjoyed all the cupcakes. Fresh, super light and airy cake with rock star frosting that was flavorful not sickeningly sweet! Love love love and cant wait for more!

I had them do a cake for my daughter’s birthday and it was large enough to feed 40 or more and absolutely beautiful and delicious. The cake was very moist and the buttercream delicious. I will definitely use them again.
My in laws live in Kernersville and spoiled us with 2 of their cakes last year for thanksgiving. We live in Raleigh and have requested that they bring a cake with them anytime they come to visit 😉 These cakes are the best I’ve ever had and everyone in my family agrees!
Our opinion of this place is as follows:We tried four cupcakes, two of which were very similar in flavors and appearance. They tasted completely different. Each cupcake had its OWN thing going on. The flavors didnt run together within a cupcake or between cupcakes. Most sweets taste good because of the sugar and fat, but, like a professionally designed cuisine, these cakes have so much to say. Eat your sweets here and dont forget to grab a few to go. Youll regret it if you dont! This establishment is professional, clean, and classy all around. Dine outside! The outside dining area is picture perfect and clean. Only thing that is missing is music. A++++++++
They catered the cake for my wedding 😍 it was perfect!!! So so beautiful and just as I had described and the flavors we delicious. We loved it! It was so great that we didn’t even get one piece of our own wedding cake it was all eaten! Wonderful people abs wonderful cake

My daughters and I have been living in Kernersville for about 2yrs and have always wanted to try this place but just never found the time. We went today and one lady was really nice but then another lady rolled her eyes when we walked in. I was letting my daughters pick out what they wanted and sat down while they picked. The lady who rolled her eyes literally came over there and starred us down until they picked and then immediately asked if we were ready to check out. Mind you, there were at least 10 others in the store. I guess their skin color wasnt as much of a concern as ours was. We put the items back and went to spend our money where we were accepted at In Town Donuts (one of our favorite spots!). Of course we wont be going back but I pray one day love prevails and people like this will have changed hearts.

Really great cake and cookies. They offer other unique treats such as cupcakes but Ive never tried them.They are a bit pricey. At $5 each slice, they are comparable to what you would pay in Chicago. However when Im in town I always stop for a slice.They are closed Sunday and Monday so plan your visit accordingly 😁
I bought 3 cupcakes I am not sure if it was the fact that this was at the end of the day but ALL of them were heavy and dense. I like light and moist. They try to make them so big that it loses quality. I would stick with Dewey’s they are an NC staple and awesome every time. And for the price $10+ you could get a dozen. I got key lime, red white and blue (4th of July), and red velvet. One even gave me heart burn (key lime). Very unfortunate waste of money. I am only giving two stars because I applaud them for trying to be different.
Oh my, oh my! This place is good! Im a fan of the butter pecan. But I recently had what I believe to be the wedding cake, and I may have a new favorite. Honestly, its a tough choice each time I go in. These cupcakes are well made.

I ordered a birthday cake from this shop. What I received and paid a premium price for looked fine on the outside; however the inside was a dry mess. It was a 2 layer cake with a marginal amount of buttercream between the 2 layers. The cake was so dry and unappetizing, I was mortally embarrassed to serve this to my party. My past experience dictated that their cupcakes were great, but this was just plain awful. I would not order a cake from here EVER AGAIN.
My favorite place in all of the triad for cupcakes, cake pops and custom cakes. Ive had several very creative cakes made here and each looked amazing and tasted equally amazing. Recently I was able to take my staff to their cookie workshop next door and we had SO much fun learning and decorating llama and cactus cookies! The cookies were delicious and the buttercream frosting was yummy as always. Such a gem to have in Kernersville!
It is a real treat to see and taste. So hard to choose. We just got a good size sample of several items, everything is delicious. And, the prices are great. We had a large bag of goodies for under $25. A must try.

Great local bakery and sweet shop. I have heard great things about their staging and cakes for wedding but I only have first-hand tried cupcakes and cookies. The cupcakes are moist and flavorful and they change out the flavors often. The cookies are big, soft and delicious. None of that crispy cookie nonsense.
I called last minute. They were so helpful. In 24 hrs. I picked up a beautiful cake for my birthday!!! Thank you for a delicious cake.
Stopped in the other day with the intention to buy. I come in and noticed the the clerk was checking out a customer and there were also 2 customers in front of me. Another clerk asked if anyone is ready to order. The 2 customers in front of orders coffee with her and then proceeds to make coffee. The first clerk then finishes their orders while I take a seat waiting for the transaction to finish. After it was completed the clerk immediately turns around and talks to another woman behind the counter. I was thinking it was something about work. So patiently waiting for another 2 min, 3 firefighters come in and was immediately greeting and order taken. So thats when I wave at everyone. And sadly and angrily I will not be coming or recommending this spot. Sorry for the owner!
Ive been wanting to try this place since I started working in Kernersville and FINALLY made it happen today- SO glad I did. The shop is so welcoming and being the only customer at the time I was able to chat with the two sweet ladies behind the counter, they were so helpful and made me feel very welcome. I got three cupcakes, one red velvet, one all a flutter (peanut butter and chocolate), and one honeybun which was the weekly feature. I promptly took a bite out of each lol and omg they are delicious! I think the honeybun is my favorite but its hard to choose! The prices are similar to other bakeries and the cupcakes are big enough to warrant the $3 price tag. I will definitely be back!
The cupcakes are great and the staff is very helpful, but i feel the price of some of the items is a bit high. for a single cupcake, it is $3, and the cupcake isnt even that large. Otherwise, great service and products.
The cupcakes we bought were fantastic! A bit pricey but thats to be expected with homemade goods. The icing was housemade and you can tell, no fake taste like store bought. 10/10 would recommend!
Definitely Yummy | Our cake was delicious. . . even a week later! Whitney was great to work with and helped us select the perfect cake for our wedding. My husband and I took the top layer of the cake (chocolate flavor) with us on our honeymoon and enjoyed it the entire week!

I scheduled an appointment with this establishment for a cake tasting and meeting to discuss what kind of wedding cake I wanted for my upcoming wedding in June. When booking this appointment, the wedding coordinator reassured me that my wedding date was still available and that theyd be able to accommodate more than one wedding that day, including mine. I get a call within a week of my cake tasting appointment from Cake & All Things Yummy.. they leave me a voicemail saying they have booked up for my wedding date so they wont be able to make a wedding cake. They can make cupcakes but Ill need to pick them up on my wedding day. She ended the voicemail by basically begging me to go ahead and cancel my appointment for the cake tasting. I didnt call back, quite frankly because Im disgusted that someone who handles weddings on a regular basis would drop this bomb on someone days before their appointment (1) and (2) on THEIR VOICEMAIL of all places. I get a call again today basically hounding me to confirm whether or not Ill be there tomorrow. So what I gather is they want me to respect their time and the appointment I had scheduled over a month ago but they had no regard for that appointment when they gave away my wedding day to someone else. What a disappointment! Why would I pay good money to have cupcakes made for my wedding only to have to pick them up on my wedding day... that is the last thing I am going to have time for or want to worry about on June 16th, 2018. If Im going to do that I might as well save myself a lot of money and take my business to Lowes Foods.

On Friday, June 28th, 2013, one of my daughters got married and we used a friend to make the wedding cake. She made an exquisite cake but unfortunately, when it arrived at the reception, it completely fell apart. She contacted Cake and All Things Yummy and they saved the day by making a replacement 3-tier wedding cake in an hour. It was delicious and pretty and we are so grateful to them for saving the day for us and our baker. Many thanks!!!!!
Loved it. Took the whole family. Reasonable prices and great sweets. Only issue is parking. Its tough to figure out where to park unless you are very familiar with the area.

I was so excited to try this place, but was disappointed that the only cakes offered by the slice were bundt cakes. I got a slice of the Chocolate Chip Bundt cake (just about $5 for a slice) and it was OK, but not great at all. I wouldn’t go back there.

So, my husbands cupcake was delicious and mine was okay but the reason I am giving them a 2 star review is due to how rude they treated me about me leaving my card. I paid for my cupcakes and got a receipt but they kept my card. I realized about 10 minutes after leaving. I had to call several times to get someone on the phone. They swear they do not have my card. I even asked for a manager and was told they could not pull up the cameras until the owner got back from Florida in a few weeks. I had to call this morning and cancel my card. Rude staff and bad customer service. I will NOT be going back.
This place always smells so delicious and the cupcakes, brownies, cookies and other yummy treats will leave you ready to come back tomorrow for another round! A fantastic part of downtown Kernersville. You will be glad that you added it to your Kernersville list of must dos.
