I highly recommend Riva sports in key largo. Ive recently purchased a jet ski and my sales person Lance Patterson was excellent and I was extremely pleased with the entire purchasing experience. A month later, I decided to purchase two floating docks, which are sold by the parts department. Micheal Crosby assisted me with all of my questions. I was unable to visit the store right away, so Micheal even took the time to send me visual measurements in order for me to decide on the size. These days its extremely hard to find someone that truly cares about their customers. If you need any parts, ask for Micheal, hell take good care of you, including great follow up. I cant thank Micheal enough for providing me exceptional customer service. I will definitely continue to do business with Riva sports in key largo.

I could not have been any happier with the service preformed on my 29ft HydroSport with twin Suzuki 300s. It was in for service and a bunch of small repairs. The entire staff there were friendly and very helpful. They serviced the engines and fixed everything on our list and delivered the boat back to us in less then a week and at a fair price.

Giving Riva even one star is generous. My moped was running badly and sometimes wouldn’t start. Riva picked it up in early May. A month later they said it was fixed, but it turned out it wasn’t so another few weeks later they decide it needs a new fuel pump. We dropped by the store and saw it was being stored outside! It was finally returned to me in October, 4 1/2 months after they picked it up. Over that looooong time we heard many excuses. 👎🏼

Great people and awesome service! Had a hard time finding exactly what I wanted in South FL (Yamaha FSH)...found this place and called Lance, he took my deposit and had the boat within a few weeks. When I showed up to get it, they took me out on a sea trial and made sure to give me a complete overview of the boat and all features. Lance and the team are great and Id recommend this place to anyone!

Horrible experience! The list I sent them about warranty issues I had are still not fixed and I paid them just to say it was a warranty issue. The boat sat there for 2 months under a tree and there techs left razor blades on my boat that left rust. I was told to use soft scrub to remove the rust. But that would remove my gel coat off a 2020 boat so I didn’t not take there advice. and I’m still cleaning stains and leaves out off the boat. After 4 months of waiting they shipped me the glove box and cup holder rings that I would have to install my self on my time with warranty. I still have the same problems that where never fixed, my ski locker still doesn’t drain, the gap on the gasket on port side is still missing The list keeps going. So I decided not to extend my warranty with Yamaha do to the fact I wouldn’t have a boat if I took it to Riva. Basically I felt rob on my first boat and I will never do business there again.

Great thanks to Jose, Steve and Neal. Great customer service!! A wonderful experience from start to finish. Professionalism and no pressure. Fabulous group of guys to work with. Its hard to recall a better buying experience. And the location!! Key Largo! A dream/destination location to purchase a water toy. Especially during Covid I couldnt be more thankful. We live in Sarasota. We had no product available locally or anywhere else we called in Florida, Tennessee or North Carolina. Riva promised that what we wanted was ordered and would be on the way. They delivered as promised. Not like other dealers that were taking reservations for 2022. I only wish we lived closer so that we could take advantage of the service and parts departments as well and maintain an ongoing relationship with Riva. Very highly recommend.

I read all the reviews. Had to take in my jet ski in. They told me the the part wasn’t available. I got mad at them . Called Yamaha customer service. They were correct. It was them it was Yamaha themselves. Riva service dept still treat me with respect. After yelled at them. So please don’t read the reviews. They are great .

Needed to arrange boat maintenance service and Dave Bautista has been great always picking up the boat and taking good care of it on the trailer. Would recommend Dave as your driver if you ever need a reliable person to haul your boat. Service has been inconsistent and difficult to get a hold off at times otherwise would rate a 5.

I have never dealt with such incompetence.Bennett trim tabs on my 2008 Grady stopped working. They looked into it. They told me the pump was dead, that water had gotten in and that they would have to change the pump, the lines and the outer housings. After 3 or so weeks they had not been able to figure out even what part to request from Bennett. They would rarely pick up the phone, and forget about answering an email. Things where moving so slow, I had to call Grady White myself to find out what parts and model numbers my boat had and give it to them to request parts from Bennett. Fortunately they are so useless that they could not even do that. So I finally got feed up and ask them to put it back together that I would take it as it was and fix it later.I then called a reputable yard in Ft Lauderdale and told them the problem, they told me over the phone with out seeing the boat, that it was all BS. That in 30+ years they had never had to change a Bennett pump on Grady, that it would likely be a quick fix. They told me to bring it in the next morning which I did. I had my doubts, it was a 180 degree shift, how was it possible, but they where dead on. Problem was some sludge and water, pump got cleaned, system flushed and resealed. Ready for pick up the next morning!!!!!! No parts needed.Avoid this place at all cost.

What started out as a bad experience, and then became a great experience do tho Yani in the office, and Randy Violette. Yani and Randy worked together to get all these items covered under warranty. The engine was stuck in gear, and Randy had to do a lot of work to get the problem solved, I’ll tell you want what a great tech, I would definitely recommend him to anyone in the building industry, he does know his stuff…

I unfortunately did not buy my Suzuki outboards with Riva in Key Largo, I wish I had. I had a falling out with the mechanic that I did purchase them from so, ever since Riva has taken care of my service needs. They have treated me as if I had spent $35,000 with them. Always extremely friendly and extremely customer service oriented, I feel as if I’m a family member. I mean everyone from BEN, the service manager, to mechanics, right down to the lot manager, who unloads and loads your boat, is alway friendly and helpful. I will never go anywhere else. I suggest you do the same. You just don’t expect this level of service in any industry down here in the keys, unless your at a five star hotel.

I worked with Lance Patterson to repower my Hewes Redfisher with a new Suzuki 140. Due to COVID they were very hard to come by, but Lance managed to hook me up. After the sale the service manager,Shannon Clements was very helpful and let me take an extra prop 600 miles away to test it out on my home waters with just the promise to return the one that didn’t work out for me. I hope my new Suzuki last the 26 years that my Yamaha did, if not I’ll be back to Riva for another!

I purchased a Wellcraft 242 from Riva Marine last year and had an issue in December my center console would shake hard when ever i would hit waves at first i thought this normal and didnt worry to much but then i finally called and asked about this problem and they responded it shouldnt do this and they will handle any and all repairs from that point on I let them handle the entire situation from pick up to repair to return. When they originally pick it up they warned me it would be a while for repair time and that they wanted to make sure there was no other issues which i expected. In the end they returned the boat professional detailed, working, functional order and even did a follow up with me to ensure the boat was in good working order. I realize things take time and some things are worth waiting for so I glad I waited and used Riva MarineAlso I truly appreciate the extra help from my sales person Richard, the GM Neal, and the patient delivery man Shannon for all there help on this as i realize delivering so far away is not easy nor convenient for anyone especially living in Key West

I was changing gear lube of the lower unit and found it full of water. I dropped it and ran it over to Riva Key Largo. As suspected the seals where bad. There was a little snafu with the parts as apparently my motor was made during a changeover year and some parts had changed. However Ben. T worked hard to sort out the part number discrepancies and to get me the unit back as soon as possible. He also kept me abreast of what was happening, which does not happen much these days. Happy customer, would use again.

Captain Randy Violette took the time to explain all aspects of the boat and put in the time and effort to make sure we were informed all the way down to the stereo. I have bought 3 boats with Riva Pompano, and my experience with the sales department has been great. I got the extended warranty, and I have been trying to service the boat with no success whatsoever. I first had an appointment, I delivered the boat, and one week later the boat was still sitting. According to the service advisor, he did not know when they will be able to get to it, so got the boat back. Four months has passed by, and I have called a few times. The calls to the service department get mysteriously disconnected. I had to call three times today, because two of those I got bounced off between attendants, and the third one the service advisor said they were three weeks out for appointments, and he said he has been rejecting about ten appointments per day. When I asked a question he said hold on, and put me on hold. He came back on the line and said surprised Are you still there??? Hold on! and directed my call to the receptionist. It is sad to see how a service department can ruin the reputation of the sales department. I dont know if the owners realize how much money they are loosing to people that really dont want to work for a living. Upper management should play mystery shopper to realize how much revenue they are turning away, and deal with the employee (s) responsible

I contacted Jose at Riva Motorsports and told him what I was looking for and he went to work getting me the Yamaha Zuma I wanted. Great communication and transparency of cost and delivery. He said it was going to be delivered on a Wednesday and sure enough Frankie showed up at my home with my vehicle and he communicated timing with me the whole way. Frankie was very professional and pleasant and I couldnt be more pleased with my experience with Riva, Jose and Frankie. Im new to the Keys and I have found a dealership I will continue to do business with in the future...Jose is looking for a boat for me now. I recently purchased a golf cart from Jose in the sales department. He is great! Friendly and honest about what your getting as far cost, features and how to keep it running for the future. He explained so much in the test drive, because we never owned one. Damon has always been our go-to guy in parts and has kept our motorcycles running for years and was key in this sale with how this cart was taken care of and new batteries. Frankie delivered our cart and was super friendly and careful. He even came back with some keys items afterward. I highly recommended all of these guys and Riva!

I bought a Yamaha Cruiser Fx Jet Ski. Sales rep was Lance Patterson. Also dealt with Michael Crosby who I met at the Miami boat show. Overall this was a great experience start to finish. Easy negotiation with a fair price from the get go. It was a pleasure dealing with Lance and Michael. Lance took time to explain all the features of the jet ski and helped me compare the different models so that I could make a decision. He was very patient in answering all my questions. Do Not get your boat serviced or repaired here. I re-powered my boat here and recently brought it in after some alarm codes had went off after reconnecting power to my engine. They took a week to look at my boat, then told me it needed a new wiring harness (which was out of warranty 1900$). I had to cancel on friends for mini season because my boat would need a month to complete since the part was on back order. I intelligently took it to another Suzuki dealer who said the codes just needed to be cleared, said the wire harness did not need replacement, and also fixed what he quoted as poor wiring done be RIVA. I now have a working boat after an hour with another shop. What RIVA did was criminal. Not to mention they gave me my boat back without the engine covering installed and without my engine hose cap. The shop I took it to said he has been getting a lot of jobs due to RIVAs poor service.

The entire experience from sales to financing to service was excellent. My sales guy, Bobby, was very attentive, immediately returned all of my communications and worked with me extensively to get me into a boat that fit me. The finance department got me a great rate with no money down and were courteous and thorough in explaining my options and final plan. The training and information from the service and parts team really made me feel safe to get on the water.

Two people stand out.First: I’ve bought two boats from Richard this year and I really believe he cares about the customer and tries to get you a good deal.Second: Randy Violets is the guy that made it happen with the boat. Richard makes the promises but the service team has to make it happen. Randy heard me express concern about the timeline I was given. I thought it was going to be a day later than expected and Randy is the one that got my boat ready and in the water yesterday. I called Monday asking for a quote on an outboard motor to repower my boat.Left my number with someone that said they would page a sales rep to call me.After a few hours I called again, they told me the same thing.On Tuesday, I called asked to speak to a sales rep, I gave him my number and email address. Someone answered saying he was the manager, he told me my info was in the system and that he didn’t know what happened.I gave him a different email address just in case.On Thursday, I called a few times but I wasn’t able to talk to someone, I left a message but no one called me back.On Friday, I called and asked to speak to the manager, he pulled up my info and he said the quote was showing completed but there was no quote.He told me he would personally ask the sales rep to give me a call.....It’s Saturday.....no phone callsI insisted more to see where it would get, if the manager is not following through what do you think the rest of the team will do!?!?!I won’t give “zero stars” because it won’t let me, you should have more respect for your customers.

I repowered my boat with a new Suzuki Outboard and couldnt be happier with the results. Lance was my sales person and he did a phenomenal job giving me many options to choose from and very professional and courteous. He always updated me on the work and i highly recommend requesting him for any of your needs. Randy in the service/install department was great as well. I recently purchased 3 skis at Riva in Key Largo. Had a minor issue with one, Joe their tech came out after hours on both calls to address my minor issue and fixed the problem. That is service that I can count on. I would recommend Riva to any one looking for a company that stands behind the product.Jose in Sales was polite and spent time with us on every sale. We actually went as far to help me upgrade a ski that I thought I wanted with no hesitation at all. If you need to find out what will fit your needs speak to Jose, he wont oversell you. Made it real comfortable for us.Parts you have Michael, after ordering accessories for my skis this guy actually delivered them to my home in Tavernier. Great service before, during, and after my purchase. I purchased a Wellcraft 242 Fisherman from them. The sea trial was terrific. The captain did a thorough job demonstrating the boats capabilities as well as the use of the equipment on board. Financing was easy. Everything was ready for us when we decided to purchase the boat. We just showed up and signed on the dotted line. We had the boat delivered to our marina promptly with no issues and anytime weve had a question on anything to do with the boats operation the knowledgeable staff have been there to answer our inquiry. We our really happy with the purchase from Riva Motorsports & Marine of the Keys and we would recommend them to everyone.

Love this place!! Steven Solo was great, he kept his word. I drove from Miami to them and received the best deal.I was greeted by a lovely woman who made me feel welcomed. Everyone was very friendly, especially Jamie Posada. Jamie took the time to describe the features to my new toy. Customer service was great, did not stay there for a long period of time. Mike even provided lunch while the transaction was finalize.The mechanics started it up for me, very professional and handled it with care.Since i drove quite a distance they delivered it to my home. Frankie was great in keeping me up to date on arrival time to my home and Raptor was delivered with no issues.

We are extremely dissatisfied with this company. I wouldn’t give them a single star if that was an option. We purchased our boat from this dealership in March and took it in for several necessary repairs 2 months ago. Brand new boat. The problems are nothing major. The service department has not communicated with us at all regarding the repairs aside from phone calls we have made to them. We do not know why our boat is not ready. We asked them to put the boat back together whether the work is completed or not 4 weeks ago. The service manager wasn’t able to tell us what the hold up is. This was a few days ago; service mgr said he would let us know the next morning and never called. Again. My husband worked as a service manager for GM for 12 years...he knows how the service department should run. Service at this location is inefficient and unacceptable. I do not recommend this dealership for service or sales if this is how they treat their patrons.

We recently purchased 2 jet skis and Lance at Riva Watersports (in Tavenier, Fl) along with their staff greatly assisted us in all aspects of the transactions. Perfection. Lance’s professionalism made the transactions with great ease and communication. Keep up the excellent job.We had an issue with one of the jetski title and their Title Clerk, Amy, was able to resolve the situation within less than 24 Hours. In addition, on the purchase of the second jetski, I unfortunately spilled gas on the registration decal and erased all the decal numbers. In turn, Amy also resolved this issue expeditiously within one day. The technicians Erik and Joe at Riva are absolutely the best. They handle all of our ski maintenance and repairs. I was really impressed when I blew the motor on my ski and they had the entire rebuild covered under my extended warranty and fixed it to absolute perfection. These guys are fast and precise with everything they do, and I would never take my equipment anywhere else.

We cant say enough about our Riva sales rep Kelsey...after meeting her at a boat show in the Florida keys, she spent the entire afternoon with us, helping us to zero in on the right size boat for our needs and wants...all while staying within our budget.Kelsey then spent an entire day with us at the Riva store, showing us all available in-stock boats that met our criteria. Starting with Richard my sales rep, who gave me a great deal on my ski and was very helpful when making my ski purchase decision. I even left the dealer with my FL and Tag for my trailer. I can truly say they have a great Team at RIVA Key Largo. The true test of a dealer’s integrity is how they handle the situation when the stuff hits the fan.While on vacation in the Keys last week, we decided to purchase a jet ski instead of rent. We contacted Steve who worked with us on financing and delivery to our RV site in Key West. This dealership is very busy but they made it happen. We took delivery of a quality ski at a fair price. We had an unfortunate event the next morning because of the rushed circumstances leading up to delivery and launching in the dark. We woke up and found the ski almost entirely submerged because the flush plugs were left open. A repair would have been costly and would have chewed up the rest of our vacation. Riva promptly addressed the issue and offered to deliver a comparable (and much better) replacement to us the same day without question. We used the ski for the rest of our vacation and it ran flawlessly. We had an absolute blast. Being a used pwc with a saltwater history, we were a bit nervous to look when we pulled it out of the water before returning home, but it was in great shape and clearly well taken care of.The watercraft and the service we received with Steve at Riva was the highlight of our trip and we won’t hesitate to return to them for a trade-in this fall.
