Pretty nice to be on vacation and be able to pick up a book you know youll read. Plus its pretty cool Judy Blume owns this bookstore and shes around it. My son and I are fan of her books. Also really like her narration of her audiobooks.

Cute updated store. Mostly hardcovers, and the shelves had lots of store recommendations. I noticed they had a ver progressive selection. Art supplies in the back, which was a fun find! Staff was friendly, but not pushy.

A very clean and well-organized bookstore, definitely keeping up the tactile desire of enjoying books by holding and touching them before purchase, unlike the online experience.The books are quite reasonably priced as well, and there is even a small clearance rack to boot for the discerning thrifty person. Not to mention the potpourri of miscellaneous items: bags, trinkets, postcards, bookmarks, and a healthy stocked selection of Judy Blume books (psst, she is the owner).A fun place and COVID aware, mask and gloves a must. Thank goodness!

I visited the store on 9/12. The lady behind the counter was not friendly. But found a great book to take back from vacation. Not going back there when we return. A great sales staff can really make or break a customer.

Place is great, selection is fairly good considering youre in a beach area, but owner was a stickler when it comes to mask use. Id recommend if you want to cool off from a very long hot walk AND if you want to explore most of Hemingways literary works!

Wow! Small but really great book store. Very nice selection, not to mention they also sell art supplies. All sizes of Moleskine, which is usually hard to find. Lots of art books and great selection for kids as well. There is something for everyone. I purchased books, pens, sketchbooks, art supplies... like a kid in a candy store.

Fantastic independent bookstore, which is exactly the kind it like. Plenty of books on the Keys, but plenty of current books. Lots of political items in here, and theyre all outstanding.And any girl who grew up in the eighties will appreciate being able to walk into Judy Blumes bookstore.

Cute bookstore any reader could get lost in while on vacation. Great selection of popular & local favorites. Even a children’s book section. I bought our niece & nephews books for Christmas here...they were treasured. The store is closed on major holidays but it’s worth a stop by while in town.

Really cramped, but for such a small space they have a nice selection. If you have middle/high school children, they may not have much to choose from. Lots of interesting picks and all the mainstream releases are here. Come for the friendly staff who will be delighted to talk books.

Definitely recommend checking this bookstore out if you are in Key West! Especially if you are a Judy Blume fan! She co founded the bookstore and is sometimes hanging out there! The staff is very knowledgeable and kind. They know their books! I wish I could have spent more time here!

Very nice beach bookstore with something to read for everyone. They even have art supplies in the back of the store. I picked up a David Bowie oral history and reading list of David Bowie book here. also got to sit and read the watchmen while I was waiting for the rest of my party to finish up. Great shop!

The shopkeeper is wonderful. The store is clean and organized. I love that they promote local authors.

Nice place to do some reading

Great selection of new books, some even autographed. Little cards are throughout the store where different authors have visited and made various book recommendations. The staff was helpful and personable, not hovering over you. Nice little selection of art supplies as well..

The bookstore was nice, but maybe not kid-friendly. I brought my 7-year old in, and we went to the children’s section where he stood on a footstool next to me while we looked at a book together. A lady came out from a back room, and said “Can you do me a favor? Have him get off of that.” We intended on buying a couple of books, but maybe they don’t need the business. We left the store right after that. If she had been nice about it, I wouldn’t have thought about it too much...although why put footstools in a children’s section if you don’t want the children using them?

We make it a point to visit local bookstores on vacation, and I’m so glad we stopped in here. There is an amazing array of titles, better than any must read list anywhere! I will be stopping back in virtually to enjoy the selections until I can return to Key West. Made my trip!

A painting class with Mike Rooney. The space and facilities are great. Mike is an excellent, entertaining and knowledgeable instructor. This is my second class with him and he continues to teach me things I did not know or understand. Very enjoyable.

Great book store

It was a decent little bookstore. Had a good variety of new books. It was a nice break from the heat outside. I couldve stayed in there for much longer, but there was no bathroom and my parking was running out.

Great venue. Nice bar area. Intimate experience. Loved the play itself. Met the writer. Spoke with actors. Well worth the price of admission and the 9 hour drive. I will go a million times.

A quiet bookstore to escape the heat. They have autographed copies of Judy Blume books for sale!! When I purchased a signed copy, the clerk offered to have the author personalize it for me!! WOW. Also, a fabulous art and gift section.

Visited Books & Books a day before we left, I selected Judy Blume’s In the Unlikely Event—seemed most apropos from her bookstore. The staff were kind, gracious, and very generous by offering to have Judy sign it. I was able to leave the purchased book at the store, but just in case it wasn’t signed in time for us to go back and collect the book, I left my address for shipping.I called the next morning and Judy Blume herself was in, we went back and were again greeted by incredibly gracious and accommodating staff, and I got to meet Judy and sign the book, it was such a delight. My fiancé and I came to the consensus that next time we’re in Key West, Books & Books is an absolute must, even more so than Key Lime pie 😂A heartfelt thanks to Judy and the staff at Books & Books for a truly memorable Key West experience.

This (non-profit!) bookstore is an incredibly special part of Key West. An unexpected treat to find such a remarkable array of titles so lovingly curated, as well as art supplies, a small but thoughtful selection of magazines/journals, and the loveliest staff. Make sure you stop by here to buy a book (or three).

A beautiful redo of a former Masonic temple just steps from Duval Street. Now it houses artist studios on the third floor, a lovely performance space on the second and galleries on the first, with regularly changing exhibitions of a wide variety of local art. (A roof garden with terrific views over the island will open soon.) The corner space is a branch of the famous Books & Books, where youll often find the renowned author Judy Blume running the cash register and helping browsers find what theyre looking for — maybe inscribing one of her wildly successful novels, too.

Very nice, updated spaces, very beautiful rest rooms, fun place to see affordable art. The black stage theatre is comfy and intimate.

Book stores are great and this one also had art supplies, making it even better. It was cozy, I loved it. I just wish it could be bigger, it was small and there was only one place to sit.

As an artist in residence, I was so impressed by all the staff and volunteers at TSKW. They provide top notch art classes, theatre performances and play an active role in promoting the art scene key west. What a beautiful venue to visit!
