Complete house done in bamboo. Good job start to finish...from selection to instalation. Lots of complication with Hurricane Irma. Contractor stayed on the job and took care of us all the way. The workmanship is first rate and we love our new floor!

My husband and I had three weeks to install flooring in our new home between the time we signed and the time we moved in. We had an extremely difficult time finding anyone reliable for the right price. We were thrilled to find Steller, as we were promised quality materials and quality work, to be completed in a timely manner at low cost. Lesson learned: you get what you pay for.The first clue that we had made a poor decision was when my husband stopped by the empty house one Saturday afternoon to find that the two men who had been assigned the job, decided to show up two days early with no advanced notice. This actually made us happy at first and my husband left the house for a few hours so as not to get in their way. He returned to find partial work done in a haphazard manner. There were gaps between some of the slats; large and uneven gaps between the finished edges and the walls; and, perhaps worst of all, the semi-completed portion of the hallway was visibly crooked.My husband contacted Ray Alvarez first thing that Monday morning. He was told that it was a work in progress and that, upon completion, we wouldnt owe anything until we were satisfied. I guess we didnt look closely enough upon completion, once wed cleaned up the mess the workers had left. There are still large and uneven gaps in certain spots between the finished edges and the walls, and the workers cut some of the doors too short. However, the absolute worst is our recent discovery of the shoddiness of the laminate we had chosen.We initially had our hearts set on hardwood flooring throughout the house. Mr. Alvarez encouraged us to go with laminate instead. According to him, the product he was pushing on us was virtually indestructible: no scratching, no chipping, no gouging. This was a blatant LIE. The laminate is actually fragile to the point where we have to be careful not to drop anything on it that weighs more than a couple of pounds. Weve had this substandard flooring for just under three months now and there are at least two gouges and one chipped edge. Sadly, we are nowhere close to being in a financial position that would allow us to hire someone reputable to come an re-do even one room.Be forewarned: Ray Alvarez is a liar and his workers are incompetent.

Ray has helped me several times. Could not ask for better service. I had a rental property that need new carpet. Ray had it done in 48 hours from quote to install. I would use him any day over Home Depot!
