I shopped at the commissary with my grandparents as a kid in the early 2000s.. My dad went to Sigsbee Elem. in the 80s. My uncle Jerry worked in the meat market at the commissary I miss them all soo much I live in TX now it was like a step back in time.. nice seeing it’s still open.

Horrible service not friendly at all, spend your money at Publix.

Its a small command commissary. Has everything you need at great prices. Prices are about 1/3 to 1/2 the prices of publix. This is not Norfolk or San Diego so the commissary is not going to be huge. The commissary is for food items. If you want flip flops and clothing go to the exchange. Two different facilities . Do you go to the auto center to get glasses ? No so why would you expect the commissary to carry clothing?

It’s a tiny commissary, but can’t expect much for this small island. The produce is often spoiled and I’ve seen expired items on the shelf a few times. Still better than spending double the price at Publix for meat though

It’s just a discount grocery store for the military, what’s not to like? A lot of people are saying they should offer shoes and the like, but what do you think the Exchange is for? Also, it’s not “a good place to get food for this part of the keys” or whatever, it’s specifically for military vets. Dam y’all dum

Great commissary, they had most of my favorite products. I was hoping for a little more vegan/ plant based options but they had enough that I would definitely come back. The customer service was excellent, very friendly staff.

Its a nice little commissary for the Key West community. Great selection on grocery and other items. The prices are very good been so far away from a major city.

It’s good for the island and small area - needs more stuff to buy from like clothing jewelry toys shoes etc etc but it’s good for those on the run for sure or quick buys ~ they have uniforms for our Navy there and their shoes and patches and whatever they need imnsure they could order it also ~ I don’t know didn’t ask but I’m sure they could order it. It’s a nice little commissary to go ~

Ed will always give you the best cuts of meat. Produce in the Florida Keys are rarely fresh. Its a fact of life being 3.5 hours from the mainland. Milk is not close to the expiration date if you reach to the back of the cooler. They keep a surplus in stock, but cannot remove it until it expires.

I love shopping at the commissary. The staff is always friendly and knowlegable, and the prices really cant be beat in this town. Some selection suffers due to foot traffic and store ratings, but not enough at all in my opinion to mark down a star.

Good variety. Strange layout. For example, super glue was in the outdoor section!

It has the basics. Produce has always been fresh. Store is clean. The frozen food section is my least favorite part, always low on selection, variety, and never fully stocked. Shelves are often bare. Staff is friendly too.

Its an ok place. The produce expires farely quickly so we bought those at a different store and you need to make sure to check expiration dates on items you buy. Other than that, that are good. Also not a big selection so we did need to go to Winn Dixie for some products that they didnt have. The staff is very friendly.

Small commissary with limited options, although they usually have a little bit of everything. Prices are good and very convenient for folks staying at Sigsbee.

The only good thing about shopping here are the non employee baggers. The cashiers and managers are rude and condescending.

Limited selection due to size of store. Not too impressed with a few of the employees, but the baggers are always friendly and helpful.

It is getting alot better. They have started to incorporate alot of GMO Free, Organic selections, but it can be a hit or miss.
