Stephanies shop should be at the top of any luxury consumers Key West experience. Her appreciation of the craftsmanship in her treasures is contagious. While her online shop is a good place to start, you would really benefit from a personal visit to La Rubia. Part art gallery and part hat shop, you will be treated to an introduction of the works on display. We knew nothing about straw hats and were initially hesitant about adding such items to our Arizona wardrobe. She read us well, found our perfect fits and styles. We left with the most gorgeous hats. I received several compliments from others the rest of the trip. Walking through another shop I heard, That hat is giving me some serious hat envy. You could hang it on the wall just by itself. Its so beautiful. Obviously we had to go back to her shop the next day to thank her and snap a couple pics. Thank you, again, Stephanie, for letting us benefit from your keen eye and travels!

I was a little trepidatious about the store at first; COVID restrictions meant I had to knock and come in as the only customer. Normally Im a browser and dont like being the sole focus of the sales person. But I didnt need to browse... the first hat I saw was clearly mine. It was waiting for me! Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful and I was overjoyed that I stopped by. Best money I spent in Key West.

Though she only allows one customer (and their parties) in store at a time, it is for good reason: personalized service. Hats extremely reasonable. If your looking for your MyFair Lady hat, you may just find it. Hubby bought a Panama hat, and looks great on him! I ended up buying one too. Highly recommend. Would go back.

I have bought panama hats before, but never bought one that was made just for me. Id been in the store a few times before to gain some knowledge before I actually told Stephanie it was time to take the plunge. We talked at great length to make sure the hat I ordered was exactly what I wanted. I was never felt pushed but also knew I would be waiting some time for my hat to be made. I could not be more excited about my beautiful purchase and I would like to thank Stephanie for her guidance. You all will not be disappointed - this isnt a place to buy a $15 tourist hat, but a beautiful work of art; whether it was handmade just for you or you buy one thats already in the shop just waiting on you to pick it up and say this is the one!

My boyfriend and I went down to the keys for the first time. One of our first stops was at La Rubia and we got these wonderful authentic panama hats hand woven in Ecuador. The owner imports them herself! We wore them the entire vacation! They are very stylish. The owner will help you pick them from a vast amount of styles, shapes, and colors! I would highly recommend checking out this store and selecting one of your own!

Run by an incredibly passionate, knowledgeable couple. All of their hats are high quality, and the story behind their business is great. It was a pleasure to stop in and chat!

They are authentic Panama hats handmade and it shows!! I bought a beautiful fedora and a feather to go with it. Just beautiful!! My daughter bought a beautiful purse of leather and woven straw. This will not be the last hat I buy here. I already have the next one picked out :)

Horrible experience. Do not waste your money. Rude, overpriced, and pretentious. Acted angry when you touched the hats. Hello! You have to try them on they are hats!!! Very snotty to three people who wanted to buy. Some people just should not have businesses that deal with the public. Better to go elsewhere. Avoid like the plague. I was prepared to spend up to 200.

Best hat store in America. I have several gorgeous hats from La Rubia. I live in Nebraska and my family’s jealous of my hats!!! Haha! My only complaint is I can’t get on their website to order.

Bought a nice hat wore it maybe 15 times it faded bad they wouldnt stand behind it said it had gotten wet which it hadnt never do business there again
