Ive had several tattoos at the Maui Tattoo Company in Kihei. Last month, Brannan freshened up a tattoo that I got from there over 17 years ago (it looks new again) and he added a small turtle for me. He is truly an amazing professional artist and I could not be happier. The turtle is just a little bigger than a quarter and his detail work is great. Im looking forward to my next visit Brannan - Thank you!

My family & I had a fantastic tattoo experience with Maui Tattoo Company! They got 3 of us in the day we called, and were able to get us done so quickly and efficiently and with exactly what we wanted. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable. We appreciated their advice (on tattoo location and design), which clearly led to the best tattoo results for each of us! Personally, the prices are a little steep for me. I have 5 other tattoos that I got done at different places. Ive seen all types of minimums and pricing styles. The tattoo artist made sure I was comfortable. She helped me land on a design that was in my budget and looked great. I almost fell asleep on the table.

Cant say enough good things about this place! Tohib was awesome and spent all day doing 4 tattoos that all look amazing! They are all original drawings that are incredible!! Would definitely have him do more work for me one my next visit to Maui.

Tohid did an amazing job on our matching hibiscus tattoos. He was very cool to talk to, and we had such a positive experience. He was able to fit us in within a few days notice and created an amazing custom piece with precise line and dot work that was perfectly matching on each of our arms. He was great for first timers as well, as this was the first tattoo for one of us. He also took some professional photos of them and gave us the digital copies as a bonus. 100% recommend this shop and Tohid especially.

I just got my first tattoo dont by Syd and to say Im in love is an understatement! She had a sketch ready when I walked in and it was perfect! She worked quickly and gently and made me feel very comfortable! I will for sure comeback next time I find myself in Maui!

Unfortunately if I read the reviews first I would have gotten the hint. I booked days in advance and paid a deposit and literally 30 mins before our time we got a call that our appt was canceled. I did get my deposit back but I am very happy it was because after reading the reviews it was typical and the person who was suppose to do our piercing and tattoo is not very good. We went elsewhere with great reviews and much better outcome!!!

I got some work done Tuesday by Tohid, who was awesome! my tattoo came out perfect and the lines were so clean! I will definitely use Tohid on my next Maui trip! Its also worth mentioning, as I was getting my tattoo, I heard the staff working with other clients, all of which were knowledgeable, friendly and honest (most important to me). I did a lot of shopping around with all the tattoo shops in Maui, and Maui Tattoo Company fit me the best and I was not disappointed!

Got my first tattoo done by tohid and could not have asked for a better experience. i was a pretty impossible canvas and my leg was shaking the whole time yet tohid managed to give me my dream tattoo quickly and was so nice the entire process. this tattoo was extremely important to me and jami and tohid made it their mission to give me the best tattoo possible. i got this done on my last night on vacation and since i have been home i have not stopped talking about how thankful i was for such a good first tattoo experience!

Everyone is super chill! Travis did some amazing, very detailed work on my little Squirt turtle tat and our wedding rings turned out unbelievable! Truly enjoyable and a must go place for any tattoo!

My wife and I went to this shop while in town, but our dealing with the shop started long before we landed on the island. Even through e mail they were helpful and very informative so that upon our arrival we knew what to expect.I had two pieces done by Milad and my wife had 2 pieces done by Cid. Both of these artist were amazing. Milad created an unbelievable piece that was able to blend and tie in 2 other pieces of work from years ago. His touch was very light. His demeanor was kind and soft. His conversation and chair side man or were outstanding. Depending how long your in his chair you may feel like you got a free therapy session. The timeFlew by. While I’m sure he tats more tourists than anything else, don’t be afraid to ask for something more than a turtle, ask for something original. This guy is the business, be sure to give him yours.My wife had Cid. She was on top of things. The design was done and ready when we walked in the door. She was very friendly as well as professional. I have to say I though all the Karen’s lived back on mainland but no such luck. While we were there a guest came in complaining about a piercing for her daughter that had not quite worked out on the first visit. Sid handled this as professionally as she could offering both multiple apologies as well as alternatives. Sometimes it’s not enough for the Karen’s of the world. This woman was so out of line I eventually spoke up as well as her story continued to change. Going from “you spoke to my daughter and hour ago” to you sent her a text today, then finally when she said the text was at 2:38pm, everyone in the shop said well.....it’s 1:22 pm so....... she eventually left and now has left a poor review for Cid and then had her kid do one as well. Go see for yourself. Do not buy into the people Who review out of anger. Cid was outstanding. My wife is already making plans to have the rest of her leg done by her!!

Sid not only completely failed my daughter septum piercing but told us to come back next week and try again and it would still be full price. This is after fishing for a hole in a septum for over four minutes to not get the piercing through and put my kids through so much pain it is sickening only to say too bad so sad. She then failed to honor two appointments she set to re do the piercing thank God because in the end I went to Stacy at vagabond tattoo who was amazing. Never ever go to maui tattoo company for piercings from sid.. She is truly horrible and clueless and unprofessional. If you want tattoo or piercing go to vagabond tattoo company as they are awesom avoid Sid like sin!!!

Sid is a horrible horrible peircer and tattooer. She cannot follow through on a peircing it often taking more than one visit. Sid is highly unprofessional scheduling times then when you show up she says sorry Im just too busy for you. She fishes during peircing causing unbelievable trauma and pain. Whatever you do dont go to SID. Your better off with any other peircer on this island invluding the old safety pin and lighter way. It would cause less trauma than sid

Syd was super friendly, but she seemed to struggle to get the needle through the cartilage making it a rough experience. Wrong size bar was used in the piercing resulting in having to go to another tattoo shop to get it fixed. Other complaint was that the lobes were done at a smaller than normal gauge with cheap jewelry and one of the backing

I got my nose pierced today by Syd and I think I was in and out in a total of 15 minutes she did such an amazing, quick and painless job! so happy!!!!!!

Me, my husband and my parents all came in on our vacation to get tattoos. The guys were awesome and we all left extremely happy. They were all great artists and very professional. I went all over Maui looking for a souvenir tattoo but didn’t feel right in several different shops. My wife and I were in the triangle in Kihei and I noticed the Maui Tattoo Company. We went in and right away I had a good feeling. The place is Beautiful and clean. Everyone is friendly and down to earth. I discussed what I wanted and was immediately introduced to Milan. He gave me a beautiful turtle on my leg that looks like a photograph but what stands out the most is his beautifully original background. Everyone that sees it ( including the tattoo shop I frequent back home) says the colours are beautiful. I would recommend Milan and The Maui Tattoo company to everyone. My boyfriend and I were on vacation with some friends on Maui and wanted to get tattooed and pierced before we left. We went in a day before our last and spoke to Tohid, who discussed tattoo matters with my boyfriend and he pointed me in the direction to contact Syd, another tattoo artist there who is also the shop piercer. Our appointments were made without any issues (Syd was conveniently reached via text and was very prompt with answering), and we couldnt wait! We arrived the day of a bit early, Tohid had his design ready to go, even sent my boyfriend a photo of the Polynesian band he was working on the day before so he knew what to expect. Syd made quick work of my piercing, she was friendly, warm, and made the whole process a breeze, I love my helix piercing, thank you so much! Tohid was super concentrated on his work, even just from me watching you could tell how focused he was.It was great to meet both Syd and Tohid on our trip and get great work done! The shop was was spacious, clean, and both Syd and Tohid were stellar!

There is no word on earth to express how disappointed I am of my experience and the result of my tattoo in this place.Prior the appointment, I discussed the time frame I had as I was catching a flight. I was told that 4 hours was enough.After a delay of an hour, Juulian worked extremely slowly and wasnt able to complete the work. To apologise he offered to undercharge me and only deducted $25.The result is horrendous and with a precision far from the work showcased on his Instagram. Ill let you judge by the picture attached.

Julian did a great job, and the entire staff was awesome.

I have been thinking about getting a tattoo for some time and decided that at 56 I was going to get my first tattoo in Maui. I looked at other tattoo shops online and visited another one in person but just wasn’t feeling it. I’m the kind of person that goes with my gut instinct. Anyway, my wife wanted me to drive her to a clothing boutique and when I parked the car I saw the Maui Tattoo Company and decided to walk-in and check them out. I told them what I was looking for and they immediately made me feel very comfortable and helped with the design, proper size and placement. Milad was working that day so I made an appointment to come back and have him do my tattoo. The tattoo came out perfect and he was great during the entire process. At first I though the shading was too dark (again, this was my first tattoo) and I read that the shading will lighten up as it heals. Like I said, I thought the tattoo looked great the day I got it, but now after about three weeks of healing the shading has lightened up and makes the tattoo looks even better than the day I got it. Everyone I’ve showed it to all say the same thing that the artist who did the tattoo did a great job. I highly recommend Milad and Maui Tattoo Company.

I met with Travis yesterday for a quick consult. I went back today to get my ink. Travis was amazing. His recommendations were bang on. The detail in his work is awesome. On the last day of my trip I decided I wanted a little turtle tattooed on my inner wrist. I got an appointment with Woody and he was just so amazing. He is an awesome artist and understood exactly what I wanted. He has a really light touch and works quick, so I hardly felt it. It took about 6 minutes and about 4 hours to heal completely. I will be back in Maui in about 6 months and will definitely have Woody do another tattoo for me. Mahalo Woody!

At first I was hesitant..the big guy cleaning the shop, maybe the owner, maybe the apprentice was a bit cold. But I find that most tattoo front men or women are! We went ahead and scheduled with Milad, he was very funny. At first a little stand offish, but then he was very talkative and funny. Made you feel very welcome. His sense of humor is a bit dark but in a good way. The girls were great too! Lets talk about his work though. The man is an incredible artist and creates his own thing. My old man has 20+ tats from all over and I have a few too. This guy is legit. Dont ask for a turtle though, be original and he will create something amazing for you!

Maui Tattoo CO. Gave my husband and myself the best experience possible! It was my husbands first tattoo and Travis did such an amazing job and explained what to expect and how to take care of the tattoo. I had have previous tattoos and the experience I had with Jeannette was by far the best! She was very friendly and easy going, she really helped easy my nerves. The talent that both artist have is amazing! I was so happy that Jeannette looked at the design that I chose and explained to me what she would change to make it a better design. We could not be more happy with the results!

Kala was amazing! We were in a time crunch but really wanted tats to remember our trip to Maui. Kala did two tats in about 2 hours. Not only was he fast, our tats look great! We are so happy and will definitely go back.

Kala did a great job with the tattoo on my foot. He was very patient even though I couldnt get my foot to relax. It was almost comical. Two weeks later my sister had him give her a rose tattoo. If Im ever back in Maui I will stop by for another tattoo.

If youre visiting, be sure to stop in to the shop at the beginning of your trip to meet the artists and discuss the piece you would like to create. My husband had the back of his arm tattooed by Milani and we couldnt be happier with his work! It is healing nicely and will look amazing once it is completely healed. Clean tattoo shop, but I had to have both of my tattoos covered up that were done here. They were done by a girl with tons of leg tattoos and I really had high expectations since they had great reviews. They were horribly done I couldn’t even have them touched up I just had to completely cover them up. Find a different shop or don’t come to Maui and get a tattoo.

Clean, friendly and not overpriced. My artist was suuuuuper slow taking over an hour to do a tiny, not detailed filler on my sleeve (under 2” square). But overall happy!

I had a very good experience with this tattoo parlor. I got there on the beginning of my trip and told them what I would like to get as a tattoo. They asked when I was leaving so that way they can have paired for me. They texted me a couple of different drawings to see what I thought and I got to pick which one I liked. I was fully healed in about a week and a half.

My wife and I went in to get tattoos on the last day of our honeymoon. Tyler did excellent work on mine. Parts of it were very small requiring percision and he nailed it. Jeanette did really nice work on my wife. We are happy we decided to go to this shop.

Got my tattoo done by Kala, I showed up unexpected and he was eager to help me. Luckily he had some time and I came back later in the day. The shop is perfectly clean, and the staff is very friendly. My tattoo idea was simple enough but Kala made it look beautiful. I keep getting compliments how good the shading is and how perfect it looks. Besides doing a great job Kala was persistently positive, singing and joking the whole time. If I was here longer I would go back to him again. Im so happy I found this shop, thanks for making something Ill have forever such a positive experience.

Well lets get started this way, I had an amazing experience for my first tattoo, I couldnt be any happier. Ivan the tattoo artist did unbelievable job. :)And he it was very patient with me, appreciate... I have very sensitive legs and I felt a lot of pain during the tattoo, but totally worth it. First I wanted to get a tattoo to cover up some scar tissue that it was caused by CoolsculptingLets face it all women have cellulite on their legs, and I had a dimple on my leg since I was 15 and I always wanted that dimple to be gone, and as I get older that dimple just got worse. And about 5 years ago I heard about it Coolsculpting and i went to talk to a doctor about it they said it would be great for me, would smooth my thighs etc...but didnt not work for me....So girls do not do Coolsculpting if you have cellulite, things will get worse. So I decided to get a tattoo and look at the results, its beautiful and perfect!! :)Thank you Ivan :)

While on vacation I lost my nose ring (fell out while I was sleeping) and it had only been pierced about a month ago so it seemed as if it had closed. I came here to get it repierced but the staff was very friendly and found that it was still open. They gave me tips and only charged me for the ring. It was quick and the staff was extremely nice

Excellent and experienced, me and my partner also both had a tattoos each from this shop while on our holidays in Paru 😎. It wasnt that long after a week before going after my first I whens and had a second with the same guys. They helped tidy up or fix up a design aka tattoo on my rite arm witch needed an experienced assistance.

Staff attitudes suck. Rude and cocky. Had an appointment for a Monday at 10am, went there Sunday at 1pm (keeping in mind no one was there till noon) to cancel appointment and guy was a jack a** about me canceling. Hesitated on giving me my deposit back because I missed my window by 3 hrs. There are ways to go about stuff, his way was ridiculous like a child throwing a tantrum.

The wife and i got tattoos for the first time together and i cant say enough about the talent and all around greatness of the staff. we are going back for more work FOR SURE! love the place (and thats a understatement) i highly recommend this tattoo shop if you are ever in maui. A+++++++
