My friend is visiting me and I couldn’t think of anything cool for us to do outside of the normal cliche things you take visitors to do. So I thought, “Hey! I’ve always driven passed that one place with the sign that read, “rich dead people things for sale.” Why don’t we try it out!” We called and we’re told the fee was $2 a person, But honestly as soon as I was in front of the door, the personality of the place already felt worth more and it totally was! We walked around for at least an hour entering all the different rooms which were 29!! Every room had its own personality; items I had never seen in my life. Such a cool place to look around! I’m so happy I decided the check this place out. Definitely worth it to spend the time and money. And such good deals too. Every item had such personality I’m surprised they were giving half off!! I will be recommending them to everyone I meet. Thank you so much to David for the experience. And thank you for my new dining room piece!!

We visited Endangered Pieces and were very surprised about how extensive the collection was. Everything is unique and you cannot buy these pieces anywhere else. Even if you are not in the market for a bronze tub or a 6 foot Buddha it’s worth the two dollar entry fee to just look around! The owner was very helpful and full of stories! Definitely would recommend!

Love seeing all the amazing treasures. $2.00 admission to see 29 rooms of relics, antiquities and fun old stuff from rich dead people. Admission gets you 50% off things so we brought home a beautiful piece of a Japanese wall. Thank you David for a great experience!

Amazing shop!!! I saw the sign on the main street and sounded kooky enough so I had to check it out. Followed the directions to the new location right across from Maui Brewing Company, in the office building. The owner David is really interesting, he has such a colorful past and everything is priced very fairly!I walked away with a perfectly in-tact SWORDFISH BILL which was caught by a local fisherman, now proudly on display in my home. Next best thing to actually catching one. Theres unique and odd furniture, home decor, clothes, and everything in between. A perfect activity for a rainy afternoon in Maui, and he ships to the mainland!

At Endangered Pieces, David has curated a magical collection of furnishings. In the 20+ rooms of the show room / museum, you can find beautiful wall art, amazing chairs and tables, even a 12’ carved rhino bench that has to be seen to be believed! David somehow knows where everything is and did a great job at helping my wife and I find some treasures for our home.

Such a pleasant afternoon spent looking at the treasures of dead rich people. Really quite a delightful experience. Vintage, antique, modern, campy, gorgeous, kitsch, high class, and more. David, the owner, is friendly and knowledgeable. He is happy to have people come admire his stuff. I ended up with two beautiful skirts from dead rich ladies. We are looking forward to our next trip to see what we might find! This is a place worth your time to visit.

David said I would forget to write a review but here goes...His store was totally worth the $2.00 entry fee. Going into his store was like going into fantasy island....so unique, merchandise so rare...We bought so many pieces for our home. Thank you David for making Maui even more memorable!

WOW! This place was amazing, first time visiting this store and I cant wait to go back every time I come to Maui to visit. These are not the ordinary run of mill items youll see at any estate sale or thrift store. These are the unique things that you may only see once in a lifetime!David is hilarious, just an all around great person, interesting history and very welcoming to any guests that come in.I spoke with some of his previous customers, they shared the same sentiments about what a cool guy he is!Even if you just want the tour and dont purchase anything, its worth the stop in just to see the unique finds from all around the world. Its not high pressure, you can walk around and take it all in. Ask questions when needed, hes got some cool stories and interesting history behind some of the pieces, where they came from, who owned them and prepare yourself to be amazed! :)Thank you David for my treasure! Looking forward to more in the future.Mahalo - Rachel

Meeting David and visiting his antique gallery, I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! I was totally blown away by the extent and variety of his unique merchandise; I couldve spent hours checking everything out.I found my dream couch; David was so thorough and accommodating with checking measurements of it and the door it needed to come through. He assisted us in taking the legs off to make this work.I believe his goal is to have happy, satisfied customers and he works hard to fulfil this goal. Go check it out!

I agree with the other reviews! The guy that owns the place came up to us and asked what we were looking for. When we said not sure just looking he told us that this was a designer studio and there were 15 rooms and if we wanted to look at more than 3 we had to pay 2.00 entry fee. He was very demeaning in his attitude and made me and another customer uncomfortable . He told us he wasnt suppose to be open today because he was loading a famous guys truck or something to that effect ... there were hardly any prices on items and when asked about something he said if it’s not priced it’s not for sale ??? What??? Serious he has amazing things in his store and I wished he was nicer I would have stayed much longer! He made you feel like he was “the man “ and you were nothing basically ! Too bad because I would have bought something I’m sure ! I read the other reviews and thought I’ll see what I think and Yep they were right !

I was told about this store from a friend when I first bought on Maui but it was in a different location that wasnt as nice as this. I was amazed at how many cool things there are and I really love the new location. I keep going back and finding new things that I didnt see the first time. The owner seems to get different things in every day so if you dont keep up, you might miss something. He seems to care about making sure that you get what you are looking for. Very helpful. Great finds from vintage clothes, super high-end art, furniture and other little treasures. Have fun!

WOW !!!! What a trip !!! That such a place exists anywhere in the world. That someone would dedicate there life to such amazing undertakings to amass such a unbelievable amount of really really cool artifacts, treasures and a down right mind blowing trip down memory lane. This man has owned everything on the planet thats ownable at one time or another and can remember it and still carry it down a flight of stairs or up it for that matter. And all in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The island we call home Maui. Its a truly must see place on maui. And buy some weird off the wall conversation piece to place in your castle of dreams for people to ask where in the heck can I buy something like that. Or its always fun to play. Ill bet you cant figure out what that is. And if you ever have a question about anything interesting, obscure or just weird to repurpose. Give a call and you to can be a small part of one of a kind experience that this world needs more of a hands on true built to last. Like the owner. Just getting better. And in better shape as time goes on. Still rollerblsading at an age that most wouldnt do come h ell or high water .... Thank you Mr David Ross.

I was looking for the salvation army when i was hit by a blunt object. When i awoke i was in the most amazing place. Music was playing, people were billowing in laughter and all items were half off! But where could i be? No one replied to my questions they just laughed and laughed as if i was dreaming. Finally a man stepped forward and spoke. Its $2 to enter he said. He must have been the leader of this wonderful place because he was dressed as if he blended in. Camouflaged if you will.I reached into my pocket and all i had was a crumpled up dollar and 16 cents. Before i could begin to wallow and tear up i felt a hand on my shoulder. It was him! He opened the velvet rope and i floated into the extra space full of euphoria.I dont remember much after that but Ill tell you what. With the new swag that found its way home with me things have changed. Changed for the better. I got a raise at work. My girlfriend brought home another woman who sleeps with us, cooks, cleans...she even pays her share of the rent. My runaway dog cane home, my lawn grew back.....and so did my hair!Thank you endangered pieces. Your store is amazing! 5/7 stars, would visit again!

Visited earlier this week. Owner announced if you want to see beyond the first 3 rooms you have to pay a fee. Then he disappeared. Didnt stick around to see if he was coming back. Didnt see anything in the first 3 rooms that would entice me to see the other 12.

Some of the items seem to have a sentimental value attached to them as many things are overpriced. The owner is open to negotiation but alas Ive heard this place will be shuttered soon and turned into a different business. Im not sure if the owner has plans to relocate or just close up shop but if you find yourself in the area I highly recommend walking around this very eclectic antique shop.

Store owner was very rude. Everything was way overpriced!EditI screenshot It just Incase he decides to delete it. I think it showcases his presumptuous attitude well.First off I never tried to purchase anything from the shop, I went in there thinking I might buy a gift for a friend of mine. Store owner never greeted us just kind of stared at us the entire time. I said hello to him but he did not respond. He sure did follow us around the store though. Many of the items were overpriced items from Asian countries that you could easily find on amazon or eBay for way less than that. There was a room in the back that had a two dollar entrance fee but I was thoroughly creeped out by this guy and so was my SO so we left.

The response from owner below is untrue! I found two crystals balls marked 60% one was priced $65 and one was marked $48. I chose the $48 one. But when rang up was charged $31. When I called them on it owner and sales lady did nothing but try to make excuses and say they were giving me a deal. Very clear they were just scamming me. Rip-off artists and will never set foot in their store again.
