Just bought my first car from Cleo Bay after a couple email exchanges with Byron and then an in-person meeting. Ive been researching and searching for a new crosstrek for a year, and Cleo Bay had the model/color I was looking for pop-up. Glad I reached out! We had the typical price negotiation back and forth for a bit, but I think we all landed in a spot we were okay with in the end. Everyone was friendly and relaxed -- this is a typical car dealership experience, though, be prepared for that if anything. They were upfront and honest about the car market right now and laid out reasonable expectations. Painless first car buying experience!

With vehicles being in short supply this year I feel lucky to have found this location! They have a great variety of subarus and other brands and the prices were very fair. I had a verbal agreement to purchase a new vehicle and an appointment to come in within 36 hours to sign the paperwork. I was willing to make a down payment over the phone but they mentioned that it was not necessary. About 4 hours after this, they called and mentioned that they sold the car to someone else. This reminds me of car dealership tactics when I lived up north. Their word means nothing, relationships mean nothing, its all about money in their pocket now.

Josh made the process super smooth and pleasant! We actually ordered a vehicle in because they didn’t have the trim and color we wanted on the lot. We expected the vehicle to take 60 days to arrive but it actually arrived ahead of schedule! We were informed our vehicle arrived this morning, and Josh had all the paperwork ready when we arrived to pick it up that evening so all we had to do was sign and drive away. We even left with a better deal than what was originally offered when we placed our down payment. I would buy here again in a heartbeat!

I saw a CPO Forester listed for $23K on 10/23 Saturday, called and spoke to Michael and asked if theyd be willing to do $23K out the door. He said hed have to check and get back to me. He called me back a few minutes later and said the lowest they could go is $23K plus ttl. I asked for a purchase order to forward to my bank. He never sent it.Called back this morning (10/25-Monday) spoke to John, and asked for the purchase order again. He said hell send it to me shortly. A few minutes later Michael called me and said the reason he didnt send me the purchase order was to wait for his GM to ask him about it. (?) He said the price was apparently wrong and it had to be $26K. and he didnt call me back bc he had written down my number wrong. I said But you already double-checked the price on Saturday and called me back. So you knew the lowest possible price, and you knew my phone number. He said he wrote it on a post it and lost it.Abysmal customer service, and dishonest business practices. Find yourself another dealer to buy from.

This young Veteran salesperson treated us very fairly. He did not use any pressure tactics but allowed us see all the models we wanted and make our best deal possible. DO NOT TRUST. They lie to you with a price and at the last minute they tell you that they made a mistake and try to tell you the price is actually higher to get a few more $$$ out of you. Reading reviews below, they have tried this tactic numerous times. Extremely unprofessional, unethical and plain dirty. The salesman Mike told me he would get back to me after checking with his manager about the price, he comes back and says 35K is accepted. The next morning as we are finalizing payment and after I have already secured funding, he says I apologize there was a misunderstanding on my part, the price my manager told me to give you was actually 36K. Total misunderstanding. Thanks for writing reviews for this shady business so customers know to stay away from these people.

Unreasonable dealer. Drove to Killeen from San Antonio - would not take deposit to hold while I drove 2 hours. Test drove the car and wanted to buy but they would not hold the car 2 hours while a used car inspector drove to check it out before I bought it. GM was there and would not accept a non refundable deposit, or even allow me to buy it with the contingency of being inspected by third party. Cleo Bays GM expected me to drop $15K because their service department inspected it and said it’s good, even though their service manager told me they just did a basic inspection. Then when I was trying to work something out the GM told me they just sold the car. No one else test drove it while I was there, but somehow a buyer snuck into the mix while I was trying to get them to agree to a third party inspection. Suspicious and shady dealer. I’ve never had someone refuse to take $15K cash and wait 2 hours for a third party to inspect a used car. Just be cautious.

Boycott this place please! My husband worked there. This place rips the employees off. His last check was depleted to $5! They said he damaged 2 cars he worked on. This may be true, however, he fixed them FOR FREE! And SOMEONE ELSE that checked his work behind him left a moon roof open and it rained that night! If anyone needs their check taken it should be whoever that was, not my husband! Please for anyone who still has morales, DONT do business at this dealership!

Went in today at around 930 and walked out with a brand new 2021 Forrester Sport at 1130. It was the fastest and easiest vehicle purchase I have ever experienced. Anthony was smart, a true professional, and made the whole experience pleasant. They do not try to strong arm you into stuff you don’t need or want. They are fair as can be, I got approved with a 2.9% interest rate. Amazing experience will recommend if you’re looking for a vehicle and want a pleasant experience this is the place to go.

Customer Service is great! I bought my car and accessories from here. Michael was my salesman; love him! Today I brought my car in for my first free oil change. Service was quick. Two things I noticed: (note: my windshield have alot of cracks from the recent hailstorm) on my multi-point inspection report card form, there was contradictory information, the green box was checked for my windshield being good but then, on the drawing of the car, marks were made on the windshield area to indicate damage. Shouldn’t the information be the same in both areas? To be consistent? Second thing: there is a sign on the door stating “mask is required” but no one in the service department was wearing one. Paradox much?

Richard also made sure I knew how all the latest features worked on the Forester I purchased (the Eyesight feature is an awesome addition to the vehicle). Was looking online on 4/16/21 for 2019 Honda Odyssey EX and listing price was $27.5K and we drove from Austin to Killeen to test drive the car. The dealership proposed finance at $27.5K or pay cash at $29K and we agreed on the finance at $27.5K with finance. The dealership entered all my personal information into the system so we can start the finance paperwork. While we were doing this, the car is being detailed. After almost 1hr later the finance guy came down and said they made a mistake on the price that we agreed upon and said that the finance price is $29K and not $27.5K as agreed earlier. This is unacceptable behavior of this dealership to change the price on the vehicle that agreed upon. Any major dealership would honor the price agreed upon but this dealership will not do that. They should inform customer upfront of their mistake and instead made us wait 1 hour and tell us its their mistaken. I would not do business with these guys ever again no matter how cheap the vehicle is. What kind of business these guys are doing, changing price on the fly. Beware of this dealership.

Everyone that I dealt with at the Killeen Subaru dealership was wonderful. I was well taken care of. This is my first Subaru and I can tell you I am very happy with my SUV and decision to buy with Cleo Bay Subaru.

This dealership beats all for the dishonest sales tactics and ethics! They had (still have) a ***used** vehicle for sale that they have had for about 45 days. About 2 weeks ago they had lowered the price due to it not selling I assume, since they still had it. I had negotiated a price for it, but they wouldn’t take a deposit. With it being 3 hours away and busy work schedules and other commitments it took around a week to get to where I could go there to finalize it. The morning I was to go, I confirmed with the salesman, Anthony H., it was still available and the negotiated price. He confirmed the price and it was available. 30 minutes before I was to leave he called me to tell me they couldn’t sell the vehicle to me for that price. They had raised the price, as they realized too low. They had raised the listing price by 2k, but would still sell to me for 1,500 more than negotiated. Umm hello you have had the vehicle for 45 days, and still do, and it hasn’t sold. Seriously? Even though I had the email from that morning confirming the agreed upon price and still available they wouldn’t honor that and the salesman, Anthony, didn’t offer any others explanation or say that he even tried to talk to the sales manager. Talk about unethical and lack of morals. This is the type of company that gives dealership car sales a bad name! Was the deal good yes! Should they have honored what we had agreed upon, yes, and told me if I wasn’t there that day then the agreed upon price was no longer valid.Read the recent reviews from others, not the first time they have done something like this!DON’T WATSTE YOUR TIME HERE. DISHONEST AND UNETHICAL!!! !

Not only did I get my dream car here but the service center is amazing. I dont feel hasseled or pressured. In fact I was there over a year ago and he remembered me. They are super helpful and honest and Im confident I got a great deal after a lot of shopping around. I did my 6 month service today (after they reminded me) and I was able to make my appointment on the app for the same day and who while service and oil change took 20mins, plus it was all covered with my included service plan. Literally love this place, everyone is suoer nice, and honest. Im happy I did my purchasing here.

Since I started a new job in Austin, I needed to trade in my truck for something more commuter friendly but I also wanted something fun. Im so happy that I went to Cleo Bay Subaru. Cameron was awesome and they gave me a great deal on my trade in and I drove off the lot in a brand new WRX Premium. My commute is more enjoyable and my gas bill is much more reasonable. It was a very fast process and up front. Very satisfied customer!Two months into ownership and Im wondering why it took so many years for me to purchase a Subaru. Reviews say it isnt as refined as other cars but that appeals to me. Functional, plenty of tech and tough as nails. The drivetrain is amazing and the turbo gives new meaning to passing gear.

On Wednesday I called the dealership to see if a particular car was available, that I had been pre approved for . It was . I arrived an hour later and was left waiting to test drive the car . In the meantime the salesman proceeded to rerun my credit :( ask me for copies of all pertinent financials - all without asking me if I would like to purchase the car . Once he and the finance person were satisfied they let me “ see” the car . Then I was informed it needed some minor work in regards to somethings a ca Xi auc fuses needing to be switched out . I was then asked to sign for the car since they would not accept my offer to deposit. I wanted to test drive it first . I politely refused . Thursday going on 5 pm I was told the car was ready . Friday I made arrangements to drive from Austin to Killeen area but I had to wait until 5 to go . When I finally get to Killeen the sunny day had turned into rainy dark skies 1.5 hours earlier than normal . I was given then keys . I asked if the salesperson was coming and he said no . I was told to make all right turns around the block and come back . I did so . I couldn’t hear the noise the car made two days prior. I left the car at the lot since it was closing time and I couldn’t drive 2 cars . My daughter brought me back . After driving the car for less than 5 minutes it started dinging, grinding, and multiple lights came on . It was in the middle of the night, I was out of town from home, and no one was free any longer to give me a ride . I emailed, left a voicemail with the noise, took photos and video . My father and I have both contacted the dealership, set a “service appointment “ . Yet no one has even emailed or called me back just to check on me . I did get this automated survey - well this is my experience . I have no idea of what to expect from the dealership.

Bought my first WRX STI. My overall experience was great! Audie the sales guy was very knowledgeable about his cars and fulfilled all of my requests, and I had some odd ones. Mike the financial guy was great as well. He didnt try to up sell anything I didnt need. I did go with the extended warranty, just for my own peace of mind.I purchased this car online and Audi made it a very easy process for me. He got everything squared away. All I had to do was pick up my car. I drove 5 hours round trip, because he gave me a fantastic deal. My 2018 STI was 3 thousand dollars cheaper than the competitors.The entire staff were very welcoming when I arrived. I even stuck around for a bit to chat with them. They gave me a lot of tips for the car, what mods to do and how to keep it a fun driving experience from years to come. I felt very exclusive and in with the STI family. Audi and I still keep in touch, hes good with answering random questions even after my purchase.Buying a new car could be a pain, but they kept things exciting for me, even through the negotiation and finance part. I would come here again.

Drove an hour because the car because the car they delivered was the incorrect car. Even when they dropped it off they said there was no paperwork and no car. Upon inquiring the guy said thats all he was given. We called them right away to pick it up but they lied and stated they hire random people and they wouldnt pick up up.Driving to drop off the incorrect car, they tried convincing us to buy an older model because on the 2021 they dont offer 0 percent financing.They just sold us a 2021 with 0 percent financing. They were lying to try to make a sale.Then we had to wait a half an hour for them to locate our finance papers.Do not go here. Dishonest service.

I was looking for a vehicle for my daughter who will be heading off to college in a few weeks. I had a budget that I needed to stick to but I also wanted all the safety features, longest warranty and lowest mileage for a used car. My expectations were high and I didn’t really think it was going to be a doable request. Paul and Shawn went above and beyond to make sure my daughter had the best car for my budget and she also drove away with a vehicle equipped with all the amazing safety features Subaru has to offer. I have been to every dealer in town to check out what was available. I was very dissapointed with some. At one, I was interested in a vehicle, but the the sales manager treated me like i was ignorent which made me angry enough to walk out and not look back.Emely at Cleo Bay was super. She knew the product and was able to answer my questions. If she wasnt sure, she found out. No high pressure or games.I cant wait for my new Forester to get here.

DO NOT GO HERE! Where do I even start. First they sold me a WRX with hail damagethey said would get fixed and it has now been 3 months Rich a sales men does not reply and they set an appointment my wife attended and they tired to make her pay for the dent repair. Second we agreed on a price I swiped my card for a $2,000 down payment and they came back and gave me completely different numbers. Do you self a favor and find a better dealership! DO NOT GO HERE!

Great service work, very efficient work force

Cleo Bay Subaru are thieves. They charged us $8000 for a rebuilt engine. Gave us a 1 year power train warranty, 3 weeks later the check engine light comes on. We bring it back, they test it, determine it’s a cracked cylinder head in the engine they just “repaired” and tell us it’s going to cost another $5000 to fix! Really? We asked, shouldn’t that be covered under the power train warranty? Their response, “the warranty is only good for the work we did”! I do not recommend anyone bring their vehicle to be repaired here! Sad that in these days where we’re all going through tough economic times these people don’t honor the work they did and fix the problem at no charge, and cover the repairs under the warranty they gave us!! Three weeks after the work is done it falls apart and you tell us it’s not covered?! That’s beyond shady! We’re seeking professional advise into this because this is just BAD business and that’s not okay with us! You’ll be hearing from us soon Cleo Bay.

If I could give less than one star I would. Terrible customer service and terrible communication. I have been waiting a week for the salesman to tell me what my payment would be. He said we were approved and we agreed on down payment, etc. That was last Friday. I had to contact the salesman to see what in the world was going on. He told me twice yesterday he was going to talk to the finance manager. I have yet to hear back. At this point, they couldnt give me a car. Im just kinda speechless how a dealership can so easily treat customers this way. Either the man lied to me or this dealership has zero customer service skills. I wont call this salesman out by name because he served in the military.

I bought my 2018 Subaru Forester XT Premium here and Loved the entire experience. Rigo the salesman along with sales team are friendly and informative. Rich found me the perfect forester I was looking for, and Jon helped me to get out of my old car I was upside down in. My family Loved Mrs. Kim who explained all of the financing, monthly payments and warranty clearly to us. Lastly Heather and Amber along with the wonderful ladies that work in the office contacted me when my plates were ready to be picked up. I would recommend anyone looking for a new Subaru or used car to go see the amazing folks at Cleo Bay Subaru. I will definitely continue to do business with the great staff here and have my car maintained by their service department.
