I am visiting my sick mother from out of town and taking care of her errands when I noticed the tires were low. I called Pep Boys and ask if they could put air in my tires and they said sure no problem. I asked if they could change a rather large bill so I could leave a tip and they told me that was absolutely not necessary.Zaldy was really the best and treated me with extra special care like I was a long-term customer. In this town, that is very rare and greatly appreciated by me!Good job Zaldy and Pep boys!!!

Shady stuff!! Took my truck there for an oil change and tire rotation. 3 days later my battery died so I opened the hood of my truck and found the air filter cover fully opened. At pep boys they showed me my air filter asking if I wanna replace it. I said no thanks not right now. So the tech didnt close it back up. My battery wont stay charged and I hope they didnt do shady stuff to my truck so I get it fixed there. My truck is a couple of years old so my battery should be good and strong. Im not blaming them but I just hope they didnt do anything crazy to my truck cuz now I need a new battery. I made an appointment with my dealership to get things checked out just in case.

Whats the use making an appointment for 1030am if youre going to just tell me you can get to it tomorrow? At least Im glad to know to stay away from pep boys.

Was charged $144.00 for them to tell me they dont know why my ac isnt blowing cold air and sent on my merry way.

I did my research where to bring my Mercedes to get a oil change etc for service. The appointment setup when I called was very simple and easy ( dont remember her name but thanks). Robert checked me in and kept me updated at points of service and that was a major plus. When I left the store my vehicle was parked in short walking distance and wheel cover to protect my car.....Wow! Thanks for the The Diamond Dynasty 7 owners. We will return for future services thanks again.

Went to get my oil change and they where closed. On the website they say they are open until 8 PM. I got there at 7PM. Please fix your website.

It is a pleasure to do business at this location. Even though they could not repair my car (the necessary tools are available only at a dealership) they took the time to tell me exactly what was wrong with my car and put it down in writing so I could get the problem repaired at the dealership. And the best part: no charge for a job they could not do. Well done Pep Boys.

I had a great experience with this store! They were super quick and efficient. I had just moved to Texas and was headed back to AZ for a visit and they got my car in great shape for the trip back. Had zero issues. Will definitely be using them in the future.

This was the best service I received in a long time. This place was extremely busy and yes I had to wait but they were able to save the day for me. I ran over a screw right up the road and banter time I made it there was tire was flat. They had no issue getting me in and taking care of my tire and getting it fixed. Be careful going here for services. Bad experience for simple brake change. After 3 trips to correct a noisy brake, nothing us fix. Noise is still obvious but refuse to go back. And the price for services is ridiculously higher than other places Ive been to.

I have been getting my vehicles serviced at pepboys for the past 10 years, I went in to 4 tires, already found what I wanted online, this was on a Wednesday, after telling me to move my car to the parking and out of the service lane I proceeded to walk to the door to go talk to the front office only to be stopped to what I believe to be a technician again to ask me what I wanted, I told him I wanted to purchase 4 new tires, he the told me that he was swamped and not sure if he could get to it today but to go inside to talk to the sales person. So instead to walk inside I just turned around and left, please keep your technicians away from the customers it is not there position to judge the workload of the shop it is the service managers position. I went down the street to NTB to get my tires and 100k service completed, NTB will now be servicing my 4 vehicles.

Dont come here if youre in a rush.... nice but seriously slow staff.

They fixed the problem, and worked with me on all options and took really good care of my car. They were very informative and kept me updated on everything going on with my car. Excellent service ever time I come! Came in 1 time with very complicated break problem which wasnt cheap at all but the crew at this pepboys walking me through and pointed out the problems for me to see for myself to better prepare me for it. After hitting me with the devastating blow, they offered to help locate any store discounts to help me out. They ended up finding about $300 in discounts for me which was only a drop in the bucket but it was still well appreciated. They only took about 3 or 4 hours and when they was done, it was like driving a new vehicle. Very satisfied for the situation that I was in. Ill definitely come back. The building could be a little bit more upto date but the coffee is good and free so Ill be coming back for sure.

Amazing service! Friendly staff and thorough service. I was quoted for a set of tires that they later found were out of stock, but they kept their price quote and gave me better ones. They did extra odds and ends to keep my vehicle road safe and didnt charge extra. Took some time but there was a lot to do and I am impressed!

I have found to that Shawn and Gabby are the best. They took care of my Sons dead battery issue, its placed under the air cleaner and the drivers side front tire has to come off in order to get it out. Basically dismantle the drivers side wheel well.... Shawn the manager personally took care of it. So I have gone to this store 3 separate times for an alignment. Every time they have come up with a reason to not do any work. Last time it was tierods which was new time before that it was my warranty was up. This time it was ball joints. This is the worst store of them all.

The Staff here are Awesome!!! They are very Courteous. I came in on February third because I had messed up my tire coming back from work. They checked the ruined tire and explained I needed a new tire which I had road hazard warranty for but I also needed a new rim and Temporal sensor but they had to be ordered and would be in that Tuesday. I explained I worked the second shift in Austin and I wouldnt be able to come back until Saturday (yesterday) they ordered my parts and when I walked in they had everything waiting and fixed my car right away. I was able to do a little shopping and when they were done they called me as we were walking back to the shop. The service is great and all the Staff was Wonderful. I highly recommend going to Pep Boys in Killeen. I will be going there for all my car needs. Keep up the magnificent work. You are great and efficient!!!!

The Pep Boys estimate came in under $900 and there was some work that the Chevy Dealership quoted that was unnecessary. Pep Boys had my truck in and out and it runs wonderfully now. I received great service and saved around $1000. I will be definitely be a repeat customer

The manager Jacob was very helpful. I was late for my appointment and he still was able to work it out and take of my vehicle. I received a call of what was wrong and the price to fix it was very reasonable. I am glad I worked with them and was there for about an hour from start to finish.Thanks staff for the help.

Very, very tired of dealing with Pep Boys. Had a horrible experience over at the Temple location before they closed a week later. Was still having trouble with my car getting started, so after I had given them a terrible review they reached out to me and said theyd look at my car free of charge. So I set an appointment at the Killeen location since its closer than Waco.I get there, and Im told its not free of charge and Id have to pay for a diagnostic plus whatever other work and when I told them that the other location had called me personally and told me it would be free, that I had been mistaken.Now, Im sure I could have yelled and screamed but that would have been a gigantic waste of my time and I decided to cut my losses. I drove my car to Auto Zone where they ran a diagnostic free of charge. Everything is fine, just the corrosion on the connectors. Why they didnt just clean it when I ran it up to the Temple location remains a mystery.Pretty much I will never, ever take my vehicle to a Pep Boys location. I would rather drive my car to work as a flaming piece of twisted metal threatening to blow up at a moments notice instead of dropping it off at the nearest Pep Boys. A chop shop would have done a better job and had better customer service to boot.

Great management. Was able to get me a last minute appointment! My car was too low for the lift and instead of taking a risk of damaging my vehicle they showed me that their shops racks wouldn’t work. Very impressed. They even recommended me to a nearby shop.

The staff was really helpful in getting my Ford F150 looked at for an A/C issue. They were timely and did everything they could to accommodate my schedule.They have great customer service and would recommend them to anyone.

I got the same experience as everybody else it seems. Just needed my brake pads replaced, they told me my rotor was destroyed (not even close) and that they needed me to either buy all new calipers or I would have to tow my car home. When it was made clear that Im not paying 900 bucks for a brake job they innocently claimed they were mistaken and I could drive it home. My car was fine before and after but their routine is to make you think your vehicle is basically totaled. Do not go here do not go here do not go here

Bought 4 brand new tires and took my Kia Forte to other tire shop 3 times in the area for a wheel balance and they failed miserably, my car was still shaking while driven, frustrated enough I decided stopped at Pep boys, Gaby, Shawn and their team fix the issue in a professional and timely manner they are knowledgeable and went beyond my expectations! Would recommend to anyone thank you guys.

I nothinced my A/C wasnt getting as cold as it used to so I brought it in for an A/C System Evaluation. The girl said its running cold for the mechanic looking it over now but I have a crack in the hose so its leaking. When I get back in my car the A/C is on full blast but the air is even warmer than when I brought it in. Thanks for nothing Pep Boys. Im not paying you $487.65 for a problem you made worse.

Just Brakes told me I needed a total fluid flush on my car and when I went to another shop they told me all of my fluids were fine except for one. They also told me my car took synthetic blend oil when every other place Ive gone to had told me it takes conventional oil. I normally never allow people to up sell me products, but somehow Just Brakes managed to manipulate me into purchasing things I didnt actually need. Ill never go back there again and Im going to continue going to local mom and pop shops from now on.

Been here twice. Very courteous, professional staff. The second time, a group worked on finding the source of my battery drain for two hours, free of charge. Affordable pricing, no need for an appointment and in my case there was no lengthy delay for service. Definitely recommend.

People where nice. Location was shady. Had brakes looked at by local mechanic. Was quoted around $200 for front brakes. Called around for a quote about my vehicle. Just breaks seemed to be the best. Was quoted around 120. When I got there. They pushed for a inspection that was around the price they where going to change my front pads and rotors out for. They didnt care I took it somewhere else. I can respect that. But than told me a billion things needed to be fixed. The total came out to be around $900. After examining the bill found that $500 of the repairs where just in case repairs. So in the end I paid around $400 and for what my dealer was going to charge $200. My time, patients, and money was wasted. What a rip off!

Even with technical issues beyond their control with the internet service provider. Which caused a big headache with closing out transactions. Ryan was professional, courteous and treated me like he would want to be treated. Some of the others centers in town seem to of lost the meaning of customer service. I will definitely be back.

They took advantage of me or they are every poorly trained. They told me two lies that I know of. One they told me the break was locked up and had to be replaced right now. Two my shocks and struts were bad and needed to be replaced. What I did was get all four breaks done because I was told one was locked the others needed to be replaced. They told me it was going to cost 530 after it was done it cost me 680... Then to come find out they charged me for work I didnt need done and work they didnt do. The charges me to smooth out four routers they only did one. I took my car to a family owned shop the shocks and struts are fine the plastic is just rotting off when I asked the guy at the shop how he knew the struts were bad he said we are trained to replace the struts when the plastic is twin because that might mean they are bad. So they dont actually check them. I have never been played so bad and I am sick to know they do this to people all the time.

These Please people tell me it will be an hour and a half to get my oil changed. I come back in an hour just to be told theyre not going to be able to do it today. spend half my day jacking with people that dont need to be in business. And all this took place between 12:00 to 2:30. This would be a good place for a oil change place to open up. Because there isnt one there now.

I had another place tell me I needed to get my tires changed, so I ordered some from Pepboys. Although they didnt come in when I thought, we scheduled to have them replaced the following week. When I went in, I told Beejay that my dad thought I still had 50,000 miles on my tires. She offered to go check for me. When she returned, she was honest and told me I still had tread. When I asked, she said I could wait about another couple months. She told me what to watch for. I feel she gave me great advice and was very honest. You dont find that anywhere! I didnt get my tires put on yesterday, but will definitely be back to Pepboys when the time comes to REALLY replace them.

Very poor service. Been here 3 hours to get oil changed and two tires that are in stock. When I asked what the hold up was. They said the tires were big. WHAT???... Im still sitting here, now 3 and half hours into it. Now they are telling me that they cant balance the tires. They have to take it to Walmart to get them balanced. Again.. WHAT??? NOW IM GETTING ATTITUDE FROM LADY AT THE COUNTER BECAUSE IM NOT HAPPY WITH THIS SERVICE. FIRST AND LAST TIME I COME TO PEP BOYS. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!!!

Walked in for an oil change but eneded up needed 4 new Pete came in told me and had no issue with me being in the shop and watching everything they did he was able to back up everything he said. I got 4 news oil change and life time alignment for 686 even I couldnt be more happy with the service and help

On, Sept 28, 2017, I went to Pep Boys to get a price on rear shocks and installation for my F150. I already knew the cost of the shocks, $125.59 a pair. Pep Boys had a 50% off coupon for installation, so that was another $47.59. plus any tax. Initially Pete came up with a cost of $350.00 for the project. I told him that wasnt correct. He went back and re-figured the cost again. This time it came to just over $200. I asked how come its still high, and noticed a shop supply cost of $17.50. I asked what shop supplies are need to change two shocks, he said a rag. I told him no way Im paying $17.50 for a rag, ( really was that rag made of gold). He argued he was saving me money, by giving me 50% off the cost of installation. I told him he wasnt saving me anything, I could buy the shocks for as little as $111.00 from one dealer, and they too offered 50% off the installation. I had come to Pep Boys because they were new in the area. He argued that everyone charges $17.50 for shop supplies, really ! I have a file full of maintenance receipts and not one receipt shows shop supplies at any more that $5.00. This guy wasnt really saving me anything, When you figure the extra cost for parts, and a cost of $17.50 for shop supplies this guy was out to take advantage of me. If anyone pays these people $17.50 for shop supplies they deserve to be screwed over. Now Pete seemed like and nice guy and he genuinely felt like he was saving me money and I cant blame him for Pep Boys policies or fees. But it was clear he had no idea if the cost shown on the screen for the shocks was for one or two shocks, And if he really believed that charging $17.50 for shop supplies ( that gold rag ) was justifiable, then he doesnt live in the real world. Pep Boys may not last long in this city if they over charge their customers like this. This being a military town, a lot of people will pay the price and not say anything because they are in a hurry, but many more will likely tell you to shove it.. As to the rewards program, if you really think Pep boys is saving you cost under that program more power to you. They might save you a few dollars off their markup but check around and I will bet you can find a better price on items without any rewards program. Just want to add a few words to this review on 9/29/2017 I went to Firestone to get an estimate and received an estimate for the same issue, their charge for shop supplies was $4.59, and they also offer a 10% military discount on all labor and parts. Pep Boys has a lot to learn if they are going to attract the business from active and retired military here in Killeen. Just Brakes didnt make it after a couple years, is Pep Boys the next to go,, time will tell.

This store is just a sad excuse for an auto shop. I spent 8hours for them to fix my brakes. Even after 8 freaking hours, I still left with a horrible alignment (didn’t come to store with that) my alignment was literally upside down. They fixed my brakes and boy! There’s a screeching sound after a week. Such sad experience after spending $400.

I went there because my brakes were squeaky for a week, the quoted me 400 bucks for my back brakes. I had a second opinion at Firestone and they said absolutely nothing was wrong with my brakes, in fact I have a long while til I need to worry about them. Glad I got a second opinion, crooks.

Mechanic shots these days are pathetic to think that Ive worked on military grade diesel engines and know more about gas engines then I let on, but pro Boys started by saying they could do the work and then giving me a 2500 dollar quote for work and the car had never been touched only what the computer dials in the hours and labor and they price you as that.. Meaning if guy takes twenty minutes instead of a hour which is what the computer says then they would still charge and hours labor instead of half hour and the parts you can get at C. A. R. I. D. COM are after market better then one or oe replacement parts for half their price in shop which means your getting Double Greased parts and labor. But you can bring your own parts save yourself half what they charge for parts and get the labor done (paid for) with that money but you get no warranty then on the work thats performed on your vehicle because you found dependable parts that they couldnt find either or wanted double what you could buy then For on C. A. R. I. D. COM$ WEB SITE FOR PARTS?? I SAY HAPPENED TO GETTING DEPENDABLE WORK DONE AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE. THANKS DONALD TRUMP

These guys are the Brake experts!! They were willing to help me out even though i didnt have enough money. They worked out a deal for me and I got my new Brakes! The customer was excellent. I soooooo recommend these Guys!!

Had a weird situation with a rental and a burned out brake light. They accommodated us, handled the situation in 10 minutes, and had us on the way. Fantastic in the midst of a stressful scenario.

If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE. I made an appointment for 3 to get my tire fixed. I had two nails in it but no air was coming out. I wanted a plug just to be safe. When I got there I wasnt seen until 4 and then the man who was supposed to fix my tire told me the nails didnt penetrate the tire they were just stuck in the tread so all he had to do was take the nails out. He took the nails out and filled my tires with air and said we were good to go and then literally ran to his car because he was done working for the day. This man was just lazy and rude. Later that night I went to go out to the store and I saw my tire was completely flat. I went back the next day to have them fix it properly this time and the staff was once again extremely rude (the guy that actually looked at my tire this time was okay though and pretty professional) and because they didnt fix my tire properly the first time it ended up completely messing my tire up and now I need to buy a new one. Worst experience Ive ever had I will never be going back to a pepboys. If you need something fixed just take your car to walmart in harker heights where its cheaper and the staff is actually nice.

Disappointed by the work and service. My vehicle came back worse and I just took it for a simple oil change. Sorry Pep Boys, you lost my business and recommendation.

So I went there to get my brake pads replaced. They told me it would be $199 and 45 minutes. 2 hours later they tell me my calipers were cracked and that it will be an $800 repair, I asked to see the damage and they said I couldn’t walk into the mechanic bays. I went to Brake Check in Harker Heights and they inspected and showed me the calipers. There’s was no crack and the repair was $195 with resurfacing the rotors and everything. That’s the facts. Make your own judgement.

I can honestly say, that Pete and his automotive technicians were the most respectful,courteous, and knowledgeable automotive shop I have had to deal with in Killeen. I seriously dont understand any of these bad reviews, and highly recommend Pete and the Pep Boy crew for any automotive services.

Do NOT trust the Pep Boys in Killeen off of WS Young. They will RIP you off. They gave me a bill for $2,024 bucks for heating and AC. I was lucky that I was smart enough to go looking for a second opinion. Bill came out to $343. Dont go to Pep Boys go to Auto Euphoria off of Stan Schleuter. Also when one of the mechanics at the pepboys filled up my AC fluid, they left the cap off the insertion area and there was green AC fluid all over my hood. I thought my hood was on fire it smelled so bad. Wish I could go negative in stars. Mechanics that dont know anything about trucks are not mechanics at all

The only special you will get is a “RIP OFF” special. These guys are cons to the tenth power. Everyone that comes in get the same story. “your brakes are unsafe and we will sand down the rotors and put your old brakes on for $500+ dollars. Sad part about the whole thing is there are so many new customers in the area they will stay in business!!

I had my oil changed and a brake inspection done at just breaks about 3 months ago. They inspected my brakes and told me exactly what was going on with them. They did not charge me any extra outside of the price that was listed for the service. The technician took me out to the car and pointed out all the componenets that have to get replaced regularly on brake systems. Then told me that there were no service reccomendation at this time and to return in 1 year. I appreciated the honesty of the technician because he could have easily told me that my parts needed to be replaced immediately. They also honored a coupons that I had used that I got online

So. I went in on Jan 11th for 2 new tires which I purchased offline, waited in the store over 45 mins for them to tell me they didnt have the tires I order early that morning with customer services. Well come to find out he recommended me some tires they had there which I was ok with. Until a couple weeks later my car started driving funny. Took the car in to get an alignment for them to tell me I have 2 bad tires on my car and thats why it driving bad. Well i saw where pepboys removed my good tires and left the old walmart tires on my car which clearly was bad and that was the reason I came in that day to replace the walmart tires and not my pepboys tires that I recently purchased in May. Im not satisfied at all about the miscommunication which led to me buying 2 more tires and I demand someone reach out to me or at least get a proper refund for something that couldve been avoid if they wouldve change the correct tires.

Okay so last Thursday I paid $700 bucks to get my VAN fixed for my radiator . I called in and spoke to Ryan at the Killeen shop and told him that my Thermostat light came on. I told him how it went from cold to hot. I explained to him what it was doing. He said sounds like your radiator. Now I know if I called in for my Thermostat why in the world would you not replace it. Just weird, wrong and asinine. I brought it back in the same day and my VAN sounded like a dirt bike. Come to find out they did not bolt a piece that was by the radiator. Finally I make it for our vacation to ft worth to get my kids and then go to Galveston Tx. Guess what yall? My thermostat light came right back on. Now here it is Wed and I am back. I came yesterday and now today. Its like Im getting robbed blind when they know I am a single mother who goes back and forth to Ft Worth. I dont think they should charge me because they said what the problem was and didnt fix what I initially came in for.

I went in to have the batteries on my truck test to see which one was going bad. They took 3hour to tell me that both batteries were bad and that they would replace them for over 500 dollars and only after that they would check the alternator to see if it was bad and said that it would be another 350 for the alternator plus labor. This is not the same pep boys employees or manager that had taken such good care of me and my family before. Seriously disappointed!!!!

Very very horrible service. I needed my brakes and rotors done and I called for a quote, lady name Crystal said it would be around $115 because they have a special . So we get there and they say they cant take the caliper off so I need to pay for that and two rotors and blah blah blah. Said close to $600, so we didnt have that. Two days later we go somewhere in Temple and I pay $164 for 2 break pads and one rotor. Mind you, it wasnt cheap breaks, the best ones out. SMH Rip off.. Make sure you get a second opinion . She took us where the car was and showed us how the man cant take the caliper off, he wasnt even really trying. Thought we was that dumb to pay.

Crystal apparently lies to everyone with this special but then will try and charge you hundreds more once you walk in. Thats what shes done to me and a few other guys i know. This place is the worst and I will be warning everyone I know not to give them service.

Well i took a vehicle to them and they left the oil cap off. this was a very bad experience for the first time having oil changed here. the vehicle started having major problems. the catch was i didnt drive the vehicle for a week after the oil change so i was worried they wouldnt help me. from all the negative in this experience TABATHA stepped in and made sure our vehicle was fixed and any of our needs were accomidated. so i thought. after i took the vehicle to the mechanic like they said too tabitha and some mechanic.... im assuming the one who wasnt smart enough to put the oil cap back on in the first place, said well your air filter is dirty so its not our fault. Tabitha took my GF home and was being nasty about how she hates downtown and the people in downtown killeen. pulled up to the gate and was being very snide and snooty about us having a gate to go through. so then i called later to apologize for assuming that because someone was stupid enough to leave the cap off it was what caused the problem the next time i drove the vehicle. the guy was very short in basically reitterating it wasnt his fault and made me feel like i was wasting there time. all in all if JUST BRAKES would have put the cap on they would never have had to deal with any of this. so i understand they didnt cause the problem but they were very rude and disrespectful after they found out it wasnt because of them. just like all of these reviews these people are classless, slow and very disrespectful. TABITHA i suggest you dont speak so illy of the town thats PAYING YOUR BILLS!!!! and if you were so good you wouldnt have needed an escort or a male mechanic to come with you!!!

The worst experience of ever, when I first arrived I need to break change for my Nissan Sentra of course they went down the way of telling me I needed to get the most expensive set of brakes with the full lifetime warranty and such which cost me around $700 to get after which when it was all said and done my car was no better than it was when I arrived a week later I take it back in letting them know of the issues that remained with my car and then their response after only barely looking at my vehicle for a few minutes was that I need to replace the master cylinder and that it would cost another $700, when I took it to another shop and got a second oh Pinyan they look at how my brakes were installed and they were poorly installed from just brakes, to the point that it was tearing up my wheel well and totally damaged my rear drum on my left side, when this other mechanic look at my vehicle and through Lee inspected it he found that there wasnt an issue with the master cylinder at all and that the issue was that the brake fluid was never trained properly and that there was air in my brakes once it was changed and everything my brakes work great and no issue I had to throw down another $400 to fix what should have originally been fixed with just brakes trust me Im going to be making a lot of formal complaints and getting my money back

They were very quick and absolutely the professionals that you want working on your car. A little pricey, but you deffinately get what you pay for.
