My overall experience was great. They are very honest in their work and will not rip you off. Even if there are a lot of cars schedule for repairs, your vehicle will get seen and repaired the same day. For future repairs, I will be taking my vehicle there and did I mention the prices are affordable. I definitely recommend this place.

They scammed me because I’m a young beautiful girl that drives a 2021 Mercedes Benz. They Intentionally misdiagnosed my vehicle trying to score 7k out of me. Had my A/C repaired at Firestone in Las Vegas, before the Warenty was to expired it went out again. Firestone had my Yukon back and forth for over a month trying to fix. Replacing parts here n there. Finally they gave up and said they could not do anything.... took it to Ray’s and they put my original AC module in that Firestone said was bad and cleared the lines, then my A/C is working great. Been coming here for 5 years.

I called the owner of Rays mechanic to come get my car because it had cut off on me in the middle of traffic, and Mr. Ray himself came out to my location with a wrecker and his company van. My car went to the shop and Mr. Ray took me to my house. A day 1/2 my car was running again-fuel line and fuel pump was replaced.

Instead of taking the $90 from a customer, he advised her that it would basically be a waste of time and money to have our car inspected because of the fact that the vehicle was still covered under manufacturers warranty with only 33k miles and since the car was from our lot at Freedom Country then he assured her that we were a reliable and trustworthy dealership as well. I Spent 600$ in labor for an ac compressor. The problem wasnt fixed. I used to be a regular here. Not going again. I Go to costillos in downtown Killeen now. They are honest.

The van stopped charging again .lets see if hes a man of his word ????Desperately want to get back to call.As I figured .didnt help fix original problem, put some new hose. W ich was not the problem, .took them 2 hrs to figure this out. $250 and they did not fix the problem. Rip off If you ask me....gives Texas a bad name....

Today I went to Rays Mechanic Shop today to check out a used car I was planning to purchase. A friend had told me thattthat were awesome and really honest. This was the first time Im purchasing a used car by myself so I was very nervous. Instead of taking advantage of the fact that I had no clue what I was doing, Jake told me that because the Carfax is clear and the car has such few miles on it and is a 2019, an inspection would be unnecessary. Many places wouldve happily just taken my money but my friend was right. Rays Certified Mechanic saved me time, money, and gave me some a peace of mind. The place is great! Friendly, honest, fast and cheaper service around. They took great care of my car, had my car double checked 1 day after to certify all was fine, and when I had trouble, they were quick to serve me so I could have my only car back in service. Highly recommend!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. First, they said they would charge $49 to figure out what was wrong with the driver side window of my 2000 Ford Explorer, and then upped the price, FOR NO REASON, to $99. Then, after we said okay, they tried to charge $500 for the fix.Turned out, that what they said was wrong with the car, was not the issue. Why charge so much to diagnose whats wrong with the car, only to be wrong about it? This place is a scam and I would NOT recommend to ANYONE. I will be spreading the word about this to EVERYONE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!

I called and asked how much for a diagnostic. He told me it would be $95.00. Before I can get off the phone he asked me what was wrong with my car. I told him what it was doing. My mistake and his gain. I took the car to him. Second mistake. He supposedly ran a diagnostic on it and he had pin pointed my issue. He said the time was off and needed to be fixed. He also threw in a water pump and that all came out to $710.00 plus $95.00 for the diagnostic. When I asked for the print out of my diagnostic he told me he had never heard in 10 years someone ask him for a diagnostic printout. He charged me $95.00 for exactly what I told him was wrong with my damm car! Smh 🤦‍♂️

I went to Toyota mechanics and they charged my $700 and werent sure why my care had a cylinder misfire and said come back but it will be $800 benefited parts. Ray found out in a hour and had it fixed for $250 thank you Rays you guys are the best.wish there were more people like you guys.

I do not rate a repair facility high on the first visit. I have been to Rays three times for various maintenance on my wifes Mustang. The most recent was for brakes. I highly recommend Rays. His technician, David, is ASE certified and top notch in my book!

Im in Killeen on vacation. Came in expecting a $300 tune up. They checked the car, explained my issue was something else, and I ended up paying 1/2 of that!!Ray thoroughly and clearly explained the issue I was having, and let me decide what I wanted to do without any pressure. VERY IMPRESSED!! I highly recommend this place to the people of Killeen!!

I have a 2010 Acura MDX that I bought on a salvage title. The dealership would not guarantee the work that they would do to the car. Ray does. I have taken my car to them for various services over the last year. They are honest and David is one of their best mechanics. They have over-quoted and undercharged me more than once. They will show you things on your car that other shops would ignore until it is broken. They are fair and professional. I have read the negative ratings and I wonder if we are taking our cars to the same place. I never felt taken advantage of or lied to. They have done additional preventive/ minor things to my car that they noticed while fixing it. They did the repairs without adding it to the bill. They were more concerned with my safety. They are not fly by night backyard mechanics. They are what their name states.

I would definitly not recommend Rays. I had my car towed in and asked for a diagnostic to be done. A week and $1500 later I drove away being told my car was good to go and everything sounded great. Soon as I drove off I quickly discovered 1. I HAD NO BRAKES! and 2. The engine was sputtering, coughing, and backfiring like crazy. No where on the diagnostic did it mention brakes. I even mentioned I needed somethings installed that the car desperately needed and they had no idea what I was talking about.

They do not call back like they say. They do not do what they say when conducting an inspection on a truck. They say one thing about a warranty and then actually tell you tough luck pay out of your own pocket. I bought a truck sight unseen and used there recommendation on it and then find out there is more wrong with it after I already put money down. I will never recommend them to anyone ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice people but horrible welders. Welded a cat for me on my truck and ended up having welding slag inside and the welding job was horrible. Mechanic work great, welding not so much

Dont settle for Rays Mechanic. I owned a 2012 VW CC. My engine seized up. I took my cars to Rays Mechanic. Out of many things that went wrong. Jake assisted me with a CareOne card to see how much I would get approved. My engine replacement would cost me 6500.00. I only got approved for 400.00 on the CareOne card. I decline this amount because I decided to get a loan with Nave Federal for the entire amount. Needless to say after two engines put in my car and neither of them worked, I traded in my vehicle. Two months later I get a bill in the mail for 400.00 from CareOne. I called and stated that I never owned a card like that and they must have the wrong number. The lady explained to me that Rays Mechanic has the authority to CHARGE your card even if you dont have the card on your person. Jake charged my card for the full amount of 400.00, after I already paid the full amount to have my engine replaced. Please take my advice and dont trust your car to these crooks. They are not friendly to Military and will do anything to take your money. I also had a paid of JBL Headphone stolen from my car when I dropped it off. Jake told me, He is not responsible for anything left in the car once it is dropped off. So what that tells me, is that he doesnt even have the nerve to make sure the people that work for him are honest and can be trusted. I had to take my car back a total of 13 times after both engines has been replaced in my car. My AC stopped working, my car stalled and even shut off on the highway once with my two kids in the back seat. I will NEVER see this place the same again. I caution everyone to PLEASE think twice before you settle for Rays Mechanic. They pose a direct risk to your safety, and care about nothing except getting paid.

I took my car there on the week of Thanksgiving (Monday)...got the car back on Wednesday...it was the Hidraulic pump...paid 1,244.83 . I drove the car to Belton where I work. While driving the car noticed that it still didnt feel right. I called and spoked to Mr. Jake (I love Mr. Jake)..anyway he told me to bring my car back. Ray and one the other mechanics told me that they could not find anything wrong, finally Ray look again and said pump was a bad and they would have to order another one and wont be until Monday to get my car fix, but I could still drive my car. I told Ray that something was wrong...I know My car!! And he again told me that I can drive it.My car left me stranded in Harker Heights that night!! I was devastated😭😭. My husband was out of town. It stayed in Harker Heights until that Monday...Oh and I had to rent a car because I needed transportation...that was$322.00.Ok...so on Monday they (Rays) came and got the car. Now Im told is the fuel pump!! Another $747.00. The next day I had to take the car back due to the power steering fluid was everywhere!! It was like that when it broke down too.If I told you (Ray) that my car still didnt feel right and you didnt check the car like you was supposed to and you told me that I could still drive it...You diagnosis Was WRONG!! And then you didnt show your face to me when I brought my car back.

Theyve always been up front with me and I know they dont try to play me for a fool like most mechanics do to people they think arent Auto saavy. The only mechanics I will let near my truck.

This place is a lil shady on how they do business. I wanted to get an oil change and was quoted $20 per quart. I was ok with it and told them to go ahead with the oil change. I was thinking it would cost me about $100. The price then went up to $160 after labor, tax, and oil filter. This is ridiculous! Never going here again.

If you choose any other mechanic in killeen you surely will not get this kind of service, trustworthy, professional, stands by his work, truly the best mechanic in killeen.

Almost $3000 for a used transmission and were having problems with the transmission again (of course, its out of warranty now). Ive spent a lot of money here, I dont plan to return here.

This was a regular place i would take my truck until i found out they were saying they fixed stuff and really didnt.

Great customer service but they portrayed hub assembly to be 3 times more expensive that it actually cost. Quoted $350 parts, $100 labor. Auto zone sold same part for $100.

They are friendly people but thats about it I went in because my car is making a noise that sounded like a belt and I rarely heard some metal sound coming from my right tire I got told I needed a serpentine belt that got replaced I still have the noise and now Im driving and it I dont know what they did to my right tire but that metal noise is almost constant and it was nowhere like that the day before I took it there so not only did I pay for a diagnosis my problem is still there even after spending money.
