This store is exquisite. I find the most interesting beads and findings here. The customer service is always pleasant and willing to give you tips and insight. The owner is very knowledgeable and the classes Ive taken have been well worth it. I have now become so creative I make my own jewelry. They have a large variety of semi precious stones, crystals, beads, tools, wires, and findings. Love this store.

I just love Bead Bistro. I take most of the classes that are offered and have thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. I too have looked at the stuff on YouTube but having somebody help every step of the way leaves me with a lovely piece of jewelry and everything that I need in the way of supplies to go home and make it again. I did a search for classes that are offered by the same artists that come in to teach, and Bead Bistro is ALWAYS cheaper than they are being offered elsewhere. There is a great selection and the owner is always willing to offer advice when I trying something new outside of her classes. I’ve made lots of new friends and I really look forward spending time with other people that have the same hobby as me. We even have some men that take classes. We laugh all the way through the class and if you need to unwind and spend some time away from home or work, this is a great place to do it!!!

I agree with j Utopia. Before I begin, the prices for the beads were better than some stores like Hobby Lobby and such. My daughter and I went into the store, for the first time, to look for a few things she needed. The man behind the register eyed us the whole time we were in there. It was uncomfortable being watched liked we were going to steal things. The lady was nicer than the guy and I appreciated her helpfulness. We usually spend a lot of money on beads for we make and sell jewelry. Wont return because we dont like being watched as if we have and will steal something. Rather go to our regular bead store in Austin. But by the previous comment only positive comments are appreciated...so....*Response*...I have been in smaller bead stores in Austin and I sure didnt have this happen to me there. I have worked in Customer service all my adult life along with surveillance(across the country), and I know the difference between good customer service and being watched for stealing. THIS was neither. And for you to have the audacity that my uncomfortable feeling is implied as a misunderstanding is appalling. To try to belittle it as... No .. be an adult and bias and take responsibility for what it is and just fix it. If a person is uncomfortable as it is ... Who in their right mind would say something there. To b put down and say ... Its our fault to think otherwise. Its what u are presenting as a front after the initial contact. Quit being defensive. Im not the first and I sure wont b the last. Without a doubt you should check this place out if you are interested in custom made jewelry. The best part is theyll teach you how to make your own designs. I didnt know a thing about bead or jewelry making before I walked in this store, but Dale is so helpful and friendly and has taught me so much. This place is truly one of Killeens unique treasures!!

My favorite bead store in all my travels! When it comes to quality, selection and prices, I havent seen better under one roof. Add to that the talent and knowledge of the proprietor and you have a great place shop and be inspired ❤

Mrs. Dale was very helpful. Her knowledgebase about beading and metal work is incredible. She had an answer for every question I had. The store is small but packs a punch with beads and materials needed for many designs.

They have pretty beads, though not much of a selection of seed beads. Their gems and stones are very nice, but as a beadweaver, not much I would use. Its great for traditional bead stringing and gemstone jewelers though.

Dale, the owner has made several custom pieces of jewelry for me. If you are looking for custom trinkets for your staff or friends, try her. She does great work and prices are awesome.

This place is crap. I went to a bead store to find unique items. They sell the same junk you could get at Walmart. Very poor quality products and poor customer service. I did not expect to find some grumpy old guy behind the counter that had no idea what he was selling.

I have learned so much from Dale about metalsmithing, beading, you name it. She has had some top notch instructors here, Kim St Jean, Jeff Fulkerson and Melody Mcduffie to name a few. I would have never had that exposure to these instructors at any of the other class centers that are close to my house. This is a great place and Dale is a wonderful, caring, gracious instructor!

I love going to Bead Bistro and have been going since shortly after Dale opened her store. Bead Bistro has quality stones, beads and tools to offer her clientele. She takes the time to help her clients choose and buy wisely which is something I really appreciate. I hate it when a shop owner tries to sell you as much as possible whether you need it or not. Dale goes to a great deal of trouble to provide quality classes in all forms of jewelry making from classes for the beginning enthusiast to the more experienced student looking to get to the next level. She recently brought Kieu Pham Gray author of Hot & Cold connections to her store and as always her classes were excellent and challenging. If you are looking for cheap please go to Michaels or WalMart but if you are looking for professionalism and quality in a supportive and fun atmosphere please give Bead Bistro a try.

If this is the first bead store you have ever been to please dont give up thinking they are all as bad as this one. Most bead stores are helpful and friendly to EVERYONE (not just their High Spenders who give fake reviews for them) Not this one! Most bead stores teach beading on a regular basis Not this one!! Check out their website class schedule page.(who in there right mind would pay a $70.00 class fee for something as easy as Viking Knit other than a High Spender with nothing to do or pay to press beads into clay on a cheap pot metal pendant. Isnt that something the girl scouts do?) Now if you want to take a class you have to take other classes just to get to the one you want. They are calling it pre requisites just to get more money out of their customers.Those same classes in other bead stores are beginner classes. Most bead stores have a wide price range on their classes so that everyone can afford something. Not this one!! Most bead stores have a warm inviting atmosphere that you feel when you walk thru the door. Not this one!! Most bead stores dont make you feel like you are being stalked if you touch the beads.(p.s. she has a good selection magnasite beads that will dye your skin and your clothes if you try to wear them. I guess thats an extra bonus). Youll defiantly be treated like a third world refuge walking into this place. Most bead stores are proud of what their students have learned and can do. Youll see pics of what was made by the students in the store ( Austin) or somewhere on the web (Austin and Temple)and that proves they have good teachers. Youll never see that from this bead store just youll just see people smiling for the camera (the same people, kind of make you wonder). So in short when asked where I purchase my supplies I go to Salado or Temple or Austin. Better Prices, Friendly Staff, Inviting Atmosphere and if the dont have something they will special order for you. And you wont feel Depress about yourself or your skill level in a good bead store.
