I had an outstanding experience here. I came to the store knowing next to nothing about cycling and an employee literally spent an hour with me teaching me about everything. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to point me in the right direction for both getting a bike as well as understanding what features to focus on to get the best value. I was also impressed that he advised me against getting the large bike they had in stock because I needed an XL. Its nice to find people that genuinely want whats best for their customers instead of just trying to move product.They seem to offer everything from clothes to accessories and the professional instillation/maintenance of bikes. Their prices range from 40$ - 80$ for tune ups (see picture for details.)

The staff, especially Mack or “Big Mack” or whatever he calls himself, tend to be gruff and condescending. Sorry, Newsflash! We don’t all know everything about bicycles and bikes and we don’t all own mountain bikes and 18 speeds and this and that. So if we have questions, as neophytes, you should have the patience and modicum of professional courtesy to answer politely and genuinely. Instead of acting as if everyone should already know as much as you do about bikes. If we knew everything, we wouldn’t need a bike shop, now would we? And you’d be out of business, now wouldn’t you? Get off your high horse and be friendly and patient with customers. We shouldn’t have to drive to Round Rock or Austin for courteous bike repair and knowledgeable service. Don’t be jerks.

They were very knowledgeable about bikes. Its a business so they will try to sell you stuff so if u really dont know what you want get ready to be recommended to buy the most expensive stuff(probably because they think its the best). They did what i needed....changed out my innertubes....Sugessted i come back for a tune up. I will. Saw the reviews online about rudeness ...I didnt get that.

It is an awesome place to purchase and get bikes repair.

While you may be able to find a better deal on a bike at the PX or Walmat/Target, you will be throwing your money away, because that bike will probably break beyond repair. At Sun Country, they have top quality road and mountain bikes, and they provide service plans so you can bring your bike in for necessary tune-ups. I sincerely hope that this family runned and Veteran owned business continues to thrive, and become the go to spot for bicycle riding enthusiasts of Fort Hood and the greater Killeen community.

It’s a great bike shop. Specialized is the best brand out there, and if you need maintenance on it, this is where you need to go. Go see Patrick! He was so helpful in every way! He explained to us about the spokes, reflectors, lights, seats, you name it! He’s such a great guy and really helped us today.

It may be obvious that I am a first time bicycle owner and it may be silly for me to want to try and work on it myself. Ive been inside the shop to look at bikes and called for a part. Both times, they were very short and condescending. They might as well have called me sweety. Ill take my bicycle where my new love is respected and taken seriously. Bad customer service.

Thank you again for helping with my Trek 3700. Its my main mode of transport and I also ride weekends. I can do some bike things myself but some stuff l leave for the pros. Bottom bracket was in trouble and you guys fixed me right up at a more than reasonable price and I really appreciate it!

Went in today to assess my bikes two tires! The two fellas were friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to service. I thought it was going to be a drop off job, and Id be awaiting a call in a few days to come pick up the bicycle. They are great man stopped what he was doing to help me needed a clutch cable for a gas powered bicycle it looks similar to a brake cable he hooked me up made it from scratch and it works 110%better than the original thanks yall ROCK

Absolutely stellar experience. I came in for new tubes which I felt lazy and felt like having someone else install, figured I would have to drop them off and pick them up later, I was graciously asked if I could wait for about 5 minutes and I feel like it wasnt a second over 4 before it was done. While I was waiting I noticed that the shop is set up very well and I looked around at some of the bikes they had in stock (great selection). I am now considering getting new bike and I feel great about spending my money there. The prices seemed competitive and definitely didnt make me jump out of my skin. Great shop, nice and knowledgeable staff.

I went in to look for a new MB, they showed me what they had and offered to look around for any sale pricing available. They called me the same day with a great deal on a brand new bike. They ordered it and kept me updated on delivery and assembly. I have been very impressed with them thus far. Jimmy has kept in touch to be sure I’m happy with the purchase and make sure I haven’t had any problems. I got a lot more bike for the money than I would have without their help.

I dont know very much more about bicycles than how to ride one. However, I do know when I receive polite, professional service at a reasonable price. I was in Walmart to buy a new bike, while waiting on customer service I searched bike shops and sun country bicycle shop popped up! I’m so glad it did. He literally fixed my Bike in 20 minutes! He saved me spending 200 bucks on a bike! Heck before I could get the bike in the door he identified every single issue, one being the tire was on backwards! We had a good laugh about that. Good bike shop staff very informative

This is a great place for repairs and sales. Im new to the area and checked reviews for a repair shop. Sun Country was rated the best and the reviews are correct. I took my new used bicycle in for a tune up. The gentleman noticed right away a few things were in need of attention. He promised to have it ready the same day. In fact, it WAS ready later the same afternoon. I took my new used bicycle out for a 20 mile ride the next day and it rode smooth as silk. I would recommend this shop to any and all.

Incredibly kind and helpful. I went in because I was building a DIY spinning wheel, not even truly bike related, just using a small bike wheel and was hoping hed have the right hardware for me. He went above and beyond in trying to assist me. Thank you!

Typically I don’t post reviews but I’m so extremely disappointed in the service (or lack there of) I received today.I took some shoes in I’d ordered as a gift & needed to get new clips on them. While being helped other customers came in asking questions.With no explanation, Jimmy walked away from assisting me, took the customers to the back & proceeded to sell them the parts they were inquiring about, as I stood ignored at the counter.After several minutes of waiting I boxed my shoes up & left. I’m sure I’ll be able to find another shop in the area that’s willing to offer better customer service.

Great inventory, but employees and management are rude. As a new biker you expect more from the salesmen, but I was treated like a child. They should work on their customer service and marketing strategies cause they suck. Sadly this seems to be the only cycling shop in the area, but doesn’t makes it the best anyway

Great service. Called ahead needing a new commuter and they set me up with a Giant Roam Disc! After a day or so I had second thoughts and thanks to Jimmy I needed a road bike and not a hybrid. Patrick in Temple sealed the deal and now I have a BEAUTIFUL Specialized Allez that I adore after only a few rides. Highly recommended and WILL coming back.

Great shop fast and friendly took my canyon spectral in for a derailer tune and jimmy had me in and out in no time flat and my drive train shifts better then when i got it new!

This place gets a 0. Let me tell you my story. I bought my bike there because I like to support local companies. I was somewhat new to the sport and I later learned that they should have fitted me for the bike instead of handing me the first one that seemed good. I made it clear it was my first time. I didnt ask, but I didnt know the difference either. The bike was a little more expensive which is to be expected from a local business. Later after I had more experience I had taken the bike in for a small repair (brake handle) and after keeping it for a week (one day repair) I asked my wife to get it. The guy at the counter watched as my wife (small woman) tried to get the bike out of the door (heavy metal) and didnt move a finger to help. The guy also said he couldnt replace it, but he would try to warranty it. He said he would call when the parts came in and never called. I let it go. Later I needed my brakes bled and after avoiding the shop because of poor service I bit the bullet and went back. They said my bike would be ready same day or the next morning at the latest. I told them I HAD to have it by Thursday. Days went by and still no bike, I kept calling and asking and they said its next every time. Finally, I got a call back and Jon left a voice-mail saying the lever was broken, I called him back to let him know not to worry about it and just tune it up and bleed the brakes. Hours went by and still no call so I drove over there. The guy at the shop (Jon?) said he refused to bleed my brake because the lever was broken (only the last inch). I wouldnt have been so mad if he had told me to begin with he wouldnt bleed them, but he said he would and wasted my time. Overall this is the worst Local bike shop I have ever been to. Customer service 0. Price 0. Knowledge 0. I will drive an hour to Austin next time just to avoid this place. Buyer beware.P.S. I was not rude at all, probably should have been.

Sold me a wheel that may have had a defect. We couldnt figure out the problem so they found a used tire and balanced my rim to see if it fixed it. It worked. No charge. Ill be buying from them exclusively while Im in town. Nice guys as well.

Great staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. Today I brought a 24 in mtn bike wheel from my sons bike that I thought was damaged beyond use, but Patrick did an amazing job repairing the rim, and saving me from having to buy a spendy replacement rim for a kids bike. All around awesome folks!

Just stopped in there to ask a bunch of questions about getting into cycling. Staff was very knowledgeable and didnt mind at all to walk a noob through bicycles. 4 star only because I didnt buy from them and have no basis for after the sale customer support, but Im sure it is great.

I took my bike in for a tire tube change and to have a baby seat mounted on, the staff was excellent. Good customer service and had it done in about 45 minutes. They also fixed my jogging stroller tire. I was hesitant because of the other reviews but I would recommend this store to everyone!

Have been in the shop a few times and recently bought a new Trek Mamba. They are always helpfull and willing to let you test ride any bike even if they know you are not going to buy right away. Also there is a 10% military discount that they are willing to extend to veterans.

I was given a price for a part by a younger guy then the older guy came out of the back and dismissed the younger one. The older guy gave me a price 5x the price already quoted. Then He told me nobody ever rebuilds hubs and that he had never been inside the hub but later knew everything about rebuilding hubs. He was trying to sell me a junk gear cluster and wheel to replace my Suntour alloyed cluster that works perfectly. Finally I asked about getting pedals and he told me I could buy the crappy ones he sells or I could spend $100s on competition pedals and clip shoes that he also sells. Maybe I look like a fool but I really dont think so, nobody ever said so before.

Recently made a purchase and there was only one guy working there at the time, a nice bearded dude. Super-duper helpful and couldnt have made my decision any easier. Even let me take the bike on a quick whirl around the block to further solidify my choice. Ended up buying a Giant ATX 2 2015 which I love, but thats a review for another time and place. If youre in the market for any kind of bicycle I recommend checking them out because they are very knowledgable, helpful and easy going.

The tech here is proficient, honest, and resonably priced. He fixed two bikes for us so far. Highly recommend them.

Quick service, man that fixed the bike wasnt the friendliest.. Not rude but not very friendly. Also, I took my stroller tonget ONE tire fixed. He put air and a flat preventing goo in all of them as a courtesy since I had to pay for the entire bottle anyway. Took my stroller home snd the next day got it out of of my trunk. The other 2 tires that I didnt ask to be fixed were flat and one was completely off the rim!

Third time I try to stop to get a quick tube or tire and doors are closed. It is a Saturday 440pm they close at 5pm. Ultimately it is my fault for waiting until last minute but come on if you close at 5 wait until 5 or change it to 430.

Took my tire my son had destroyed the spokes. Took him all but 5min! Can you say AWESOME!!!

Purchased a bike from them about 6 months ago. I got a fair price but since then i have had nothing but negative experiences with the shop. The staff (2 guys from what i can tell) are rude and almost seem annoyed when having to actually interact with a customer (even if you are a regular who has spent thousands at thier shop). If you leave a bike for repairs, dont expect it back sooner then a week, EVEN if they tell you it will be ready the next day.

Purchased my a MTB from here. Took it in a month later for a quick tune up and it wasnt rideable when I got it home. Took it to TriCity instead and works like a new bike should. Also had them service my 17yr old MTB and they did great on it also.
