Not sure why so many negative reviews? It’s not anyone s fault but yours if you don’t understand a contract you sign ask. I have had my power go out once in the three years I have lived in the Killeen area. I’m thankful that during this winter when it seems other power companies can’t provide power This one has. I have had zero issues and would have no problem using them again if I move back to Texas due to military sending me back. Thank you guys!

The most expensive electric bill I’ve ever had in my life!!! Last bill almost $400 😡 I just moved to Texas from NY I don’t have washing machine, I turn off the heat... they don’t have a reasonable explanation for this bill!

I have been a member with TXU for over 11 years and they use to be a good light company with great rates but now they are getting ridiculous with there pricing even on average monthly billing . And customer service is getting bad also I called three times tonight 12-17-2020 and every time they would answer the phone and breath TXU is getting out of control and Frustrating. I think I might just change company’s . There are to to many light company’s with great rates and wonderful customer service

I have been a customer with TXU for more than 15 years. I switched electricity providers due to unreasonable cost fron TXU. My closing residential bill fron TXU in January 2021 was billed at 22.6 cents per kilowatt hour. Ridiculous.

This is the most non-caring company Ive ever dealt with. Try to get an extension on my electric bill keep in mind Ive been with this company for over 5 years. And they cannot even give me one extra day to pay my bill. Definitely going to be looking for new company.

From Misty Bennetts review:My dad died today in your store....while it was all natural causes you had his truck towed with-in an hour of him dying. I hadn’t even been notified yet. I could have come and picked it up but instead it was towed and I had to pay 300 dollars to get it out. You guys are total jerks and have zero humility.This is horrible.

When I first started TXU was consistent bill about 80$I started to notice that my bill was going up but my kilowatt were lower how is that possible I called and they gave a credit every month I have to call and speak to rude people who obviously do not know what customer service means. Today I received a bill for 1600 kilowatt a bill for 240$ and thats with a so called credit TXU needs to be investigated what they are doing is really immoral I suggest never to use there company I have never spent so much money for electricity and still be negative. They deserve 0 stars

If I could give zero stars I would.I have never paid electric before (recently married and moved into our first home together) and TXU was the first provider I have ever experienced paying for energy by myself with.First off, I was lied to and tricked into a plan that I shouldn’t have been signed up for to begin with. I even told the person when signing on with TXU that I have never paid for energy before and wasn’t sure how it worked. He took advantage of me and screwed me into a plan I didn’t understand from the get-go. Come to find out after calling to cancel my service that I wasn’t even eligible for that plan until being with them for at least 4 months!After receiving my first bill I called to cancel my plan and a girl by the name of Amanda in the “Stop Service” department assured me that I was in fact screwed over and ended up crediting my account due to the mishap. She then signed me up for a summer special instead to help lower the cost of my electric bill.After further research, I found out that TXU is one of the more expensive providers in the area.I then decided to call around to a few other competitors to find a better plan and decided to cancel my service with TXU.I started my new service with a different company on a Monday, was called that day to confirm my cancellation, as well as on Tuesday, Wednesday, and THURSDAY that same week. As if the continuous phone calls weren’t already frustrating enough, they each went exactly the same way; a consultant hoping to trick me into a plan that was “better than the one I left them and signed up for.” All in which I did the math and came to find out was ANOTHER lie.This company lacks integrity and overall professionalism. They bank on hiring employees with cultural language barriers to run their sales department while having the others who you can actually understand run their “Stop/Cancel Service” Department. What a coincidence. First and last time I will EVER bring my business here.

Horrific how you treated a long time customer immediately after he was taken away in an ambulance and DIED at a local hospital. Having his truck towed and putting his daughter through what she had to go through in addition to mourning the loss of her father, you are heartless. Its these types of incidents that have me asking, What is this world coming to? People like you, the owners of this business... You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Had a standard bill amount ($75-85/month) for the whole year we lived in a 3 bedroom home. Moved to a smaller, better insulated apartment that we took GREATER care to conserve energy in and the second bill was HUGE. The operator on the phone said it was like we were paying two or more bills. Changing immediately. Even our apartment management said that their rates are outrageous.

BUYERS BEWARE! THIS PLACE IS THE WORST OF THE WORST!!! OUTRAGEOUS PRICES THAT TEND TO INCREASE MONTHLY REGARDLESS OF HOW LESS ENERGY YOU USE. Their energy saving calculator is straight bull! According to their energy free savings calculator, I saved $278 for the month, but still had a bill close to $500!! I cancelled my subscription immediately after 2 months use.

I live in a 1 bd room and I travel for work so I’m not home at least 12 days a month. I don’t run the a/c nor heat but my bill is 75-100 a month. I’m leaving them immediately. This is crazy I should not be paying that much on lights. Their bill calculator is bull. No matter how low it is it always come up 30 bucks before pay cut off

We all are very sad about him. I alwyes call him Mr. Dodge. One of my best cuatomer, i alwyes appricate him for his services. Many condolances wth his family members and friends. AndJust want to share with all of you. It was a big misunderstanding tht the day he died, we call towe compny to tow his truck. It was all mis understanding. We try our best to help him at tht day even one of my cuatomer who help him to do CPR while talking to 911. I appriciate all her effort too. We never clled no one to tow his truck. Two bedrooms no large electrical appliances and none in second bedroom with the exception of a lamp. Never use the one lamp in second bedroom. Lights remain off during the day. Rarely watch TV and my electric bill is incredibly always between 70-100 dollars a month.

I use to be with TXU they were pretty good but now that I work for Reliant I can no longer have Txu but thats okay because I have a cheaper bill and plus I got the free stuff reliant give away for signing up. Not to bad

TXU has been horrible and the rates are insane. We would open windows and use only ceiling fans during the summer and still received over a 340.00 electric bill. We all suffered for no reason! Can’t wait to leave them. Biggest scam ever

In the Texas heat the high was 106 degrees my 9 year old daughter, Alaskan Husky, Alaskan Malamute and myself were left without power for SEVEN hours. Oh and a refrigerator full of groceries that we just bought the day before!!! It all started when my husband called to switch electric companies he spoke to a lady about changing our service because we were switching. He said this THREE times. She kept asking where we were moving too? He said we are not moving we are switching companies and the service was changing. So Monday comes around and at 9:25am all the power goes out. I called oncore and they said that TXU put a move out notice in and the electricity was cut off. So from there on, I was on the phone with oncore and just energy on and off. My husband called TXU about the situation. They reviewed the phone call and told him well you said disconnect and he asked them did you hear the whole call. I said we were not moving.We were switching and pretty much told him oh well. The next day a man called and wanted to know what happen and so we told him. He ask how long we were without electricity? We said seven hours and all he said was that was unfortunate. I believe this was a poor reaction, bad businesses ethics and just plain wrong.

Be very careful about this company. I was with them for 5 years. Canceled my service with them due to renting my house. Paid my last bill and then got another one for 250$ which is some long word basically saying the money you owe for the standard usage. COMPANY IS TRASH.

Spent 90 minutes on the phone trying to find out about a simple 100 dollar gift card. The first hour nothing was accomaccomplished the agent want to send an escalation report up the chain to find outif I can get the card since I canceled my service. I said a multi billiondollar corporation is fighting hard over $100 gift card. It went up i get my card(5 weeks)? Then Raul asked why did we stop service? ? Really? I said we just spent all this time on the phone and didnt, couldnt resolve anything, this was supposed to be a short call but you guys just dragged it out. BOW my average bill was 150 and TXU it was 250

I went ahead and went with TXU energy for my apartment while I was in school on a one year lease .Needless to say 3 months after moving out I get a call saying I owe them for three months more of electricity that the current tenants are using .I called and told them I moved out three months ago and I called to cancel service but there is no record of me doing so and now Im in the hole a few hundred dollars just because they cant keep their records in check.
