This review is about my dining experience.The dining area has been maximized to accommodate as many customers as possible. Not much extra space so the ambiance has a cramped feel.The dining area was clean and well kept.I ordered the Combo Botana in order to sample a wide variety of their meals. This meal consists of fajita seasoned beef, chicken and shrimp as well as a half cheese quesadilla, Spanish rice and shredded lettuce. All were excellent and the shrimp taste and texture were consistent with fresh shrimp that had never been frozen. The tortillas, I had the flour, were freshly made and the tomatoes actually had flavor. For dessert I had a slice of flan that was excellent and very well made. See the picture.The wait staff is pleasant and friendly. The service was competent.I had a very enjoyable meal in a nice establishment.I highly recommend the restaurant.

Sal was a great help with the meat section and deciding which meat to buy! The tacos were of course the best! Better than most places in town! Since they have their own meat in store its always amazing and extremely fresh! Every plate Ive had including the breakfast is the best in town and at an amazing price! Outstanding! Gotta try it! You wont regret it!

We finally got food from here for the first time and it was AMAZING! Fast,nice service and the food was still warm once we got home. A lot of food for a really good price and really tasty. Will definitely be eating here again.

Packed place during lunch, never had bad food here. Barbacoa is best in killeen.

They take long at drive thru and forget stuff, they are over priced and if you don’t speak Spanish they will talk to you in Spanish either way and say a bunch of non Sense. The food is a hit or miss and can taste bad on some occasions.

We just moved in and this taco joint is right next to our house. Theyve always gotten our order right when we go. The service is quick and efficient through the drive thru. They have so many taco options too. Carne asada was a little salty when I tried it. Love their breakfast tacos! Theyre ratings should definitely be higher!

First time trying literally just ordered 25 minutes ago. I was very excited for some authentic looking Mexican food. Crew inside was cordial and helped immediately. Ordered to go and had no problems till we got our food. Smelled great. We ordered the molcajete, a sope, and the chicken enchiladas. Found black hair in our guac. My husband has very short curly hair. I have blonde hair. When I tried calling to speak to someone about our food phone how’s directly to user busy. Had to inspect all of our food carefully unwrapping all the enchiladas, taking apart the sope. Was definitely disappointed don’t think I’ll be going back.

This place is good, but this is the third time they give us very soggy, old cilantro and the passed two times no limes. It’s so annoying because this plate price is $23. I would think they would give you what you paid for. We always get the pound of taco meat. It comes with onion, cilantro, limes and a side of corn or flour tortillas it feeds 4 people. Other than that it’s a good place to eat.

Decent food if you’re fine with Auchwitz portions. Also overpriced, . PS they will not fix your to-go order if they mess it up. Pretty sad for a $20 dollar meal

I order a Chalupa with only chicken and queso cheese when i received it was soo watery the cheese was like milk all over the to go bowl the fried tortilla was soaked and soggy it was not edible i didn’t even eat it refused to go back due to lack of communication and the poor experience i had at the time

Went through drive-thru twice and was not disappointed. Food was hot and correct. Their tortilla soup and street tacos are delicious.

My daughter and I got the California Shredded Beef Nachos and 4 tacos. After we ate it we both got sick. Our stomachs were in so much pain. I was running to the bathroom all night and here all day today. I didn’t find out she was experiencing the same issues until I got a call from her from school today. She tried to tough it out her last couple days in school. She couldn’t take it anymore so she called me. She said, mommy can we sue them in a joking but serious way. I said no we’re not gonna do that. SoWe decided to leave a review and tell our story. Very disappointed and dissatisfied, We won’t be eating there again. Ehhh Not even 1 star ⭐️

This place has delicious food! Everything I’ve tasted has been great. They only get two stars because every time I go through the drive thru my order is never right. I get home and nothing is correct in my breakfast burrito or in my omelette. I’ve never had an order come out correct ordering from the drive thru.

I love the food, I go all the time. I love to buy the jalapeño sauce, it’s one of my favorites. The food is always fresh and tastes way better than most of the other Mexican restaurants in the area.

NEVER GETS THE ORDER RIGHT OR TRYS TO FIX IT, food is good but I always pay for so much food I never end up getting or even trying to fix it or get compensated for it or anything. This is one of the best Taquerias in Killeen. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. If you order any tacos they stuff it with as much meat as possible, giving you the best bang for your buck. During my time eating here I notice Killeen Police Department officers eat here as well so you’ll be safe while you enjoy your meal. Highly recommend.

Its not my cup of tea. We ordered two gorditas, a chimichanga, a sweet tea and horchata. The horchata tastes like the machine variety and the gorditas were weird. I asked for ground beef expecting it to be plain only to have it doused in some kind of chile sauce. The second one, al pastor, wasnt too bad. We ordered it from DoorDash and it didnt take too long to get it delivered. Not sure what people had that it was delicious. Even my husband didnt like his chimichanga and he usually eats the whole thing. Dont waste your time. Go to MasFajitas. Theyre not any better but theyre better than this place.

Their street tacos = dry unseasoned meat.Avoid at all cost.

There food is delicious but there service has something to be desired. If you use drive through and you are the only one there ordering four breakfast tacos. It should not take 20 mins to sit at the window waiting.

I ordered beef and carnitas. Not beef and shrimp. They also forgot an extra set of tortillas. Its happened about 3 times where they give me something different or forget items.

I had the wonderful Jalisco style breakfast with the delicious pork chop seasoned perfectly, eggs to order, and your choice of potatoes.I chose the hash browns.Everything was delicious, (always is)!!This is my new number one favourite breakfast place in the world!!Everything on their menu is cooked perfectly and succulently.This is Killeens Best Mexican food restaurant hands down!They really care about what they put out, and want it to taste delicious and fresh and hot!!I highly recommend them!! 😋 😋 😋 😋

We’ve been ordering through the drive-thru for our last few meals from Tapatias and the food had been inconsistent every time. First time they forgot to put the cheese on the tacos. Whatever, no big deal I have cheese at home. Second time they missed half of my order and over charged me. Third time I got my tacos with NO TOPPINGS ON THEM. The toppings came in a tiny container on the side and there wasn’t enough for the whole meal. I paid $30 to assemble my own dinner?! No thank you. The food has been terribly inconsistent and I order the same thing every time so I know what my food is supposed to look like. We love their food so much and it’s our favorite for tacos in town. I’d hate to stop buying their food but this is getting ridiculous.

I have only eaten their steak and eggs breakfast tacos. Hands down the best breakfast tacos in town. Also had them with cheese..delicious. They have a spicier than normal red sauce, and it mixes perfectly with the food. I will give another review when I return for a dinner. Sorry no pictures this time.

Terrible customer service. Usually there is a female from cali she’s super nice but the person that was there today was terrible. Forgot to ask my female friend for a drink. Was very rude, she attended the males next to us very well. I honestly thought it was very funny how sexist it was. If your not a man and she’s working don’t go (:Go to jaliscos better.

Cant believe Im just now finding this place. An amazing take on Tex-Mex food. Had a very decent sized order in drive through and they were so fast and polite. Amazing customer service as well. The only thing that was slightly upsetting was that their tamales werent exactly the greatest but everyones different. Aside from that I highly recommend this place

First time eating here,very Tasty Food very close to the house.....tried it out,good quality only wish the portions were a bit more generous. Also the Horchata is amazing first time ever having some. Love the fact it is close to the home very convenientand the fact they have a meat market too. However we will eat here again.

Ive been here twice and this place is a hidden gem! Absolutely delicious food at awesome prices, and the staff is always very kind. I especially recommend the #36, Mojarra Frita (fried tilapia).

I order DoorDash from this restaurant. My food never arrived and when I called to ask for help from the “manager” she said it “wasn’t her problem” and hung up on me. When I tried to call back the manager refused to talk to me and whom ever I spoke to was very nice and a bit more helpful but basically told me that my dasher is probably “eating my food.” This food may be amazing but I will NEVER know since I will NEVER give them my business based on how their manager treats customers.

I got the carne asada fries... Its a lot. Like a lot lot. But you cant beat the price point for the quality and amount of food. Cant wait to get.back there again!

Do not order American breakfast here or anything American. Stick to the Mexican menu and you won’t be disappointed as much. Highly reccomend this place getting a health inspection.

Love the food and drinks. Especially the pineapple water. The waitresses from the afternoon were nice the ones from the morning were rude they didnt want to take our order because their shift was done and they had to count their tips. But knowing the other waitresses werent ready to take orders they told us to wait. I gave it a five star because we love the food the people not so much. We went there on 11-09-18 I wish they would have a better selection for the kids meals but overall on the food was great.

I love the food they serve here. Feels very authentic Mexican.This place also has a drive through! I have never seen a Mexican restaurant with a drive though. They are pretty quick about it too, Ive never waited longer than 5 minutes. I highly suggest this place.

They have a awesome corn tortilla soup. Place is clean staff is friendly. Prices are where they should be. The only problem I found with this place was the flour tortillas. They are not good at all. For this place to have such delicious food it really messes up your meal with these nasty flour tortillas! Give this place a shot and let me know what you think about the tortillas!

After several visits to this restaurant I found that it could be better and has much room for improvement. Customer service is lacking of which had to remind the waitress to refill my drink and to bring chips multiple times. Also, the food is a bit more expensive than other Mexican restaurants in Killeen.

My 2nd favorite Mexican food in the surrounding areas. There salsa is top notch and they have a cheese sauce that is very flavorful and you can add it on any thing. This place does have a drive through and theyre service is pretty fast and you can order for pick up.Id recommend this place to any mexican food lover around the area.Heads up this is also a butcher shop so you can buy some meat for a decent price.

Very tasty and traditional Mexican food at good price. The staff is wonderful. Hardly any rotation of personnel, so if you go often, they will remember you, and you will feel very welcomed.They have a type of hybrid store with the restaurant. You will see the meat to purchase, so when you go, don’t forget to take one or two pounds of marinated beef fajita to cook on a regular pan with a little bit of oil.Flan, and tres leches are a great treat too! Tamale sale on weekends... and catering too. It’s a “must try”.

Me and my family eat here often. Today I decided to eat something different than I normally have and ordered the carne asada fries. I didnt notice its smothered in cheese dip and Im allergic to dairy. I called and asked if they could remake it without dairy products and they refused stating No, thats a waste of our 10 dollars! They are not considerate of their customers. She was loud and rude talking over me when I am trying to talk and we ended up arguing on the phone. Im definitely not returning because I am not going to spend my money on bad customer service. I wasted food, I wasted time, and I wasted $10. The way Im feeling right now I would give a 0 rating but it wouldnt let me post without choosing one. FYI... Customer service and customer satisfaction is a huge determining factor in the success of your business.
