Came in near the end of the day for a tire repair. Was from out of town, and needed the tire patched to get home. Had a huge nail in my tire. They were very helpful and repaired my tire quickly. Service people were awesome! Service counter employee could have been better. They were slow in getting me my paperwork after the repair. Overall, the repair was complete in about 2 hours, and I was able to make it home.

Had an appointment so we dropped the car off 15 minutes before the appointment. Came back an hour after the appointment and the car hadnt been moved. They had prioritized the walk ins over the appointment. Not even so much as an apology from the staff working there. Certainly took advantage of my girlfriends knowledge of oils when helping her pick out the oil to choose one way more expensive than what she needed. Incredibly disappointing, will not return.

If I could give negative stars I would! This place was horrible at customer service didnt tried charging 150$ more than the online price. I sat there made an online order and they had to honor it but then come out saying oh we dont have those tires in stock.... But we can give u a cheaper version for 15 dollars less than the original ones I was gonna get. Got nowhere with the guy bc online it said that 4 of those cheaper tires was 250$ less than my original ones. I felt like I was being taken advantage of so I told him to drop my car off the lift Ill go somewhere else!!!!

I was 5 minutes before my appt time and one hour later (they said that it would be ready by 1-1:30 minutes), my car was not even taken to the service station. When asked the reason, they said they had taken many appointments and hence the delay and told I will have to further wait for atleast 1-1:30 hours. What is the point in taking an appointment when I have to wait so long? When I had been there last time a few months ago, just 10 minutes over my appt time, I was turned away as I was late, and this time, this kind of an experience. Absolutely no accountability and no apologies as well. I am not going back to this place again. I would not recommend this place to others too.

I dont want to be a Karen but felt my experience at this Pep Boys deserved a review.I scheduled an appointment because my car was leaking coolant & the engine was overheating. My appointment was on a Thursday afternoon. Upon checking in, I made the mistake of mentioning I was going to be out of town for the weekend and I would need the car by Sunday. By Friday evening, I still hadnt heard the diagnosis of my car or an estimate on how much it would cost. When I called, they said theyre short-staffed and the technician would look at it Sunday because he was off on Saturday. Totally understand if youre short-staffed, but I would have appreciated some sort of communication considering they would get to it 3 days after I dropped it off.Fast forward to Sunday, Jaelin calls to say my car needs a new water pump which will be about $140. Jaelin also said that since it was Sunday, he was unable to order the part anywhere because everywhere is closed. I happened to be with my dad and mentioned this to him. Within 5 minutes, my dad found the water pump at an Advanced Autoparts location 25 minutes away in Trappe. Side note: they arent closed on Sundays. My dad called Jaelin back because I felt I was getting taken advantage of. Jaelin said they only order parts from the Ridge location, but after speaking with the Trappe location, PepBoys is able to set up an order transfer and receive parts from other locations if they have them. After my dad explained this to Jaelin, essentially doing his job for him, Jaelin said the last delivery of the day already happened so we would have to wait until Monday.On Monday morning, I received another call from Jaelin saying he found the water pump and it will be $421 for the pump, and $760 total to include labor. Like any sane person, I asked what the price discrepancy was. Jaelin responded he wasnt sure why he quoted me $140 on Sunday. I asked what brand of pump he was looking at, and he was unable to tell me because it was no longer in front of him. At this point, theyve had my car for 4 days and are trying to increase the price 4x. Jaelins manager Forrester then calls me to offer me $100 off the job. I reiterated that I needed an explanation as to why they pump is now $420. I explained to Forrester the conversations I had with Advanced Autoparts and he honestly said you were probably talking to a new hire, which I can guarantee, I was not.Long story short, I called the Chevy dealership and TiresPlus. The Chevy dealership had the part for $270 and could do the entire job for $675. TiresPlus had the part for $144 and could do the entire job for $588. My dad is handy and was able to buy the pump for $85 and put it in himself in about 3 hours. I picked up my car from PepBoys, paid the diagnostic fee, and will never be returning. For what its worth, when I told Jaelin my name to pick up my car, Forrester went straight into the back. Must be embarrassing trying to financially take advantage of a girl he thinks has no clue!!

I booked an appointment with this location for 9am on 7/14. I even received multiple text confirmations for it. I was stuck in traffic and thought I would be late so I called the store.I spoke with Todd about possibly being late and if I would still be able to keep my appointment. He said no your appointment only holds for 10 min, but we’re not busy so I can still fit you in. I asked are you sure because I’m on the way? He replied confidently, yes.I arrived to the store at 9:07am and approached the desk where Todd stood. I told him my name and said I’m here for my 9am appointment. He looked on a paper and says he doesnt have anything here for that. I said you do, I’ve confirmed this and I have a confirmation text. He says that doesn’t mean anything and goes to his computer. I said sir, look right here I have a confirmation text that says it’s for today at 9am. Then he goes back to the paper and says oh, it says 7/16. I said that paper where you wrote it down is wrong. I have the confirmation of the correct date and time right here (showing him my phone). He says well if you’re going to get upset with me then we’re done here. I said sir I just spoke with you about all of this, I arrived within the grace period for my appointment. Regardless of all of that, you said you’re not busy and you could still fit me in, so whats the problem? He then replies you’re done, you’re not getting anything done here, get out of my shop.I said that’s ridiculous! I called off work, drove an hour to get here, I called before hand and yet still arrived on time. I came to a business for a service and I need that service completed. He claimed no one there was higher than him at the store and calling corporate wouldn’t do anything. He also said he didn’t care about his job because he’s retiring in 3 weeks.He tried to help other customers and I told him he’s not helping anyone until we get this rectified. He called the police and the first thing he said was an irate black woman is disrupting my store and not allowing me to help customers.After him calling the police, after I’m already on the line with corporate, I stepped to the side walking toward the merchandise in the front of the store, he said if you’re not going to leave I’m going to physically make you leave. I told him he better not touch me or I will file an assault complaint against him. The only intelligent thing he did that day was then walking away.After they arrive I explain the situation and unfortunately Pep Boys is a private company and they can deny service to anyone for any reason at all.At this point, I didn’t even want the service. I wanted him to be reported for discrimination and treating a customer in this manner, especially on the floor in front of other customers.Todd even told the police he doesn’t care about his job, he’s retiring in 3 weeks and he doesn’t have time for this.That’s just not expectable.Needless to say I did not get an oil change at all that day because every other placed was booked.I will not ever go or recommend PepBoys to anyone!

Makes up they’re own hours.. hours everywhere say they should be open.. yet they locked the doors and just look at you from the inside of the store. As if you weren’t even there. Then when you call.. if they answer they just hang up in you.I don’t know what hope. To Pepboys but they have really went down hill these last two years. Horrible service and do not recommend anyone to go there for anything at all. Especially the King of Prussia store.

I would like to address an issue that happened for the second time. I’ve been a customer for years and I’ve never had a problem with Pep boys in King of Prussia PA or the customer service. I always referred to friends and family because until today I did appreciate the service and efficiency.I’m not sure if the employees at the store has changed or it’s just lack of professionalism, I scheduled my inspection and oil change appointment online for 03/12/2021 at 11:00am. When I got at the store I was informed that the inspector was all booked up and couldn’t take any more cars for the rest of the day (didn’t receive a call, email or a simple text message). The same employee who said that offered to schedule a new appointment on Wednesday 03/17/2021 at 9:00am. So today I got at the store at 8:40am and this “gentleman” named Todd said that the inspector is not at the store on MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS! I told him that was the second time that happened and he didn’t seemed to care or apologize for the inconvenience.I had to rearrange my work schedule two times for nothing, what happened is very frustrating and inconvenient and I would like to address it to prevent that other customers will have the same negative experience.

So I purchased at a store in Northeast Philadelphia, rotors, calipers and brake pads for both sides of my truck, the calipers have a core charge of $44 dollars each, I asked the store manager that if I can return the core and get my money back at any of the Pep Boys stores, He told me that I should have no problem whatsoever, I happened to be around the store at King of Prusia and so I stopped to return the cores and get my money back, as I entered the store, wasn’t even knowledge or greeted, walked all the way to the parts counter and waiting but there was nobody in sight, so I walked up to the front counter and ask the cashier where do I return the core since there was nobody at the parts counter, and I told him that the cores were purchased at another store, He responded that they were not allowed to take any items from other stores as directed by their store manager, I asked for the store manager and he said that he wasn’t available and that he wasn’t going to do the return, I told him that I will contact corporate customer service and he replied by saying “ I don’t give a F%@k you don’t scare me “, I walked out of the store although I was extremely angry but I am the better person, I called corporate and explain the situation and what I have just experienced, the lady at customer service took my information and apologize and continue to tell me that the district manager was going to call me within 48 hours, but the call never happened.Basically they let their employees treat customers which ever way they want.

I was having an issue with one of my tires and had previously gone to a different shop to get it fixed. They told me that they couldnt find the problem with my tire, and recommended for me to buy a brand new one. Instead, I went to Pep Boys at King of Prussia. They assessed my tire, only to find that all it needed was a new $10 valve stem. They switched it out with no need to spend all that money on a brand new tire. Fast, convenient, and hassle free service.

Not perfect, but usually reasonably priced and they show integrity. One of their technicians made a mistake with a repair to our vans AC, and it wasnt working again a couple weeks later. When we came back in, they made it right at their expense, without me having to argue about it. I appreciated that.

I am sorry to provide a low report for this location, but the customer service was average at best and I paid them to fix a leak in my tire and when they returned my car, my tire had white stuff all over it and the tire continued to leak.When I returned I was told I would have to replace the tire. If the hole was so bad why didnt they regonzie that the first time out. I know it could have been a new hole, as I was told, but we know that is not likely the case considering the quality of care I was given in my first visit. I hope they do better work and take better care of their customers in the future.

I got to this location at 5:37pm, in the rain, when one of my windshield wipers broke off. They were closed, even though they should be open until 6, and there was “nothing they could do to help me.” I’m currently sitting in their parking lot waiting for someone to come bring me a windshield wiper from Auto Zone, since i obviously cannot drive around looking for a windshield wiper in the rain. Thanks to Andre who did try to help me. Otherwise, Auto Zone will be the move. I wouldn’t have had to time to write this review if I could’ve just gotten in.

Took our ford transit connect in for inspection. After we got it back our oil light and tire pressure lights were still on. We called and they said it wasn’t a problem and they fixed everything. The. Covid-19 happened and we didn’t use the vehicle for a few months. When we reopened our store we made sure our two Ford transits were in working order. The one that had the inspection last (at Pep Boys) also had a recall notice for a door latch. We took our vehicle to a Ford dealership only to be told our inspection we had done this year is bad. The parts replaced at Pep Boys were not the correct make for our vehicle, and the tire lights were on because two of the tires needed to be replaced. We also needed a new air filter. We spent more than $500 on the van alone for an inspection that could have done more harm to the transit than not having one done. We will not be using Pep Boys again, I should have listened to my co worker who had a similar experience at a different Pep Boys location.

Had taken our car elsewhere for service and that mechanic caused more damage. When we brought our car here, Todd ran some diagnostics and got everything sorted out. We also spoke with Tyrell who provided excellent customer service. I will definitely be bring my car back soon when its time for new tires.

BS excuses for work done incorrectly in the past.An example : They did not rotate tires even when asked them to do so. Their excuse was we do not put tires with more thread on the front because you can fishtail if the back tires have less thread.If my tires have 6/32 and 8/32, I don’t see any issue putting the 6/32 on the back and 8/32 on the front. In fact you need to rotate tires for even wear to prolong the life of your tires . They probably get more business selling replacements for worn out tires.

My in laws came to town and changed a flat tire on the way. They took their car to Pep Boys to get the tire repaired/replaced. Pep Boys broke a stud off the wheel and cross threaded another in the process. Then they said the car came into the shop that way. My father in law is not a mechanic but, has been fixing cars all his life and knows how to change a tire. He was disappointed to say the least and took his car elsewhere. Make sure you take pics of your car before you bring it here, so that when Pep Boys makes things worse, you have proof.

Currently at the Pepboys off DeKalb and Saulin Blvd in Upper Marion, county. The past two days have been a very awful experience with a service tech. by the name of Todd. Todd has very bad customer relationship. Two customers before he showed agumentive attitude to both and then my turn came up, wow! I was recently here June 30th for brakes and rotors. Well the rotors that was installed two months later were rusted around the hub real bad. I tried to tell and show Todd what was happening with the rotors (two front rotors) and he would not look at photos nor look at car, he just told new that rotors rust, theres nothing we could do about that! After a back in forth for 10 mins he finally went to the back to ask a manager and came back with a discount to upgrade to better rotors while under his breathe stating I should have asked for better rotors! I then tried to explain that I wasnt offered a better or lesser style of rotor, they stated they had to order the rotors because they didnt have my vehicles in stock. And today, after I told Todd yesterday that I could be back here after 3pm because I get off at 3 from work, Todd stated, your late because I gave you a 3pm appointment! In which made the other Tech look over at him. I explained to Todd that I told him that I get off at 3pm and I work 15 mins away in Radnor. Of course he stated I never told him that. Todd truly needs customer appreciation classes!! Were already upset we have vehicle problems and dont need the Tech adding to the heartache. Manager understood that rotors shouldnt rust that fast and that bad still fairly new!

It happened sometimes ago but Pep Boys lost me as a customer over a can of Tree Sap removal. It didnt work very well so I ended up using about half the bottle and it still didnt work. When I tried to return, the guy accused me of returning used bottle. Heck, how else are we supposed to use a product. Later I bought a bunch from Amazon. Anyway, never stepped foot inside any of their stores again and it is extremely unlikely, that I ever will.

Slowest service ever. We made an appointment at 11:00 am for an inspection and were promised the car will be ready by 5 pm. At 4:30 when we called in to check the status, we were told they haven’t started yet and they don’t know when it will be ready.. but we need to use our carWhat is the point of the ‘appointment’? Why would they promise the time. 6 hrs should be long enough for just an inspection.Called the customer service, no one responded.Will never come back again

Stopped in for a sun shade since my car gets super hot in the summer and I wasnt sure what size to get for my car. Matt the retail associate went outside and measured my wind shield for me to ensure I got the right size for my car. He was super helpful and very pleasant! This was my first experience with Pep Boys and unfortunately it left me with a very bad impression. I made an afternoon appointment with Pep Boys King of Prussia through their website, but when I walked inside to check-in, I was told the appointment had been cancelled about an hour before (while I was driving in heavy traffic) because they only have the technicians qualified specific to my car issue until 2:00pm, which the website made no mention of when I booked online. This is not necessarily the staffs fault, but I left with a very negative impression because 1) a good amount of my time was wasted with the late cancellation notice and 2) none of the staff offered any compensation in the form of a coupon or a discount. If they had at least compensated with such, I would have at least remained willing enough to try Pep Boys again in the future.I understand cancellations do happen, but they should come with as much notice as possible and should come with some form of compensation (coupon/discount) if ample notice is not possible. Very disappointed today with Pep Boys.

I’ve been to several Pep Boys over the years. Since the King of Prussia store opened I have always come here because of their excellent service, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. They don’t overdo work but they do what is necessary to keep your car safe. I’ve always been happy, they always looked for discounts to apply to my orders and, ordering online makes it easy to pick up parts I need with no hassle returns if I order the wrong part or find out I don’t need them all for my repair.

Im very skeptical of any big box shop but this location has been pretty good to me. Ive had some requests that fall outside of the standard brakes/battery/oil changes (weird check engine lights in Jeeps, balancing large tires on trucks/Jeeps) and they have always done nice work and been up for the challenge. I dont know the guy with the tattoos name but he always seems eager to dive in and get to know my vehicles/actually diagnose the problem and always calls to run things by me before he does any additional work.

Don’t waste your time here. Took my tire in for repair and my car in for an oil change. They called an hour later to say that the tire wasn’t repairable and they couldn’t do the oil change because they couldn’t open the hood. I went to go pick up the car (it was left unlocked in the parking lot). I opened the hood in three seconds without difficulty and took the tire to firestone for a second opinion. They repaired my tire and it’s good as new. Pep Boys is lazy and doesn’t want to do the work. Wasted 1/2 a day here because they didn’t want to work.***Reply: A less than five star experience would have been an improvement. I had a (less than) one-star experience.

I was there this past Monday for a tire installation/wheel balance. I had my own tires and the wheels were already off my car. Ryan at the service desk assisted me and was more than helpful. He made the process real quick and easy. Erik was the one who did the installation and balance and I was in&out in a short period of time. I would recommend them for tire service from my experience.

Odd to be giving a review for returning a product but I am happy to do just that. I came in looking for a new battery for my truck and managed to lose the receipt - no worry since batteries usually last 5-6 years. In this case the battery was dead and my dealer installed a new one. Pep boys was able to look up the transaction and instead of issuing store credit, completely refunded me even though *technically* they were supposed to issue a replacement. Thanks to the management for going above and beyond and making the best out of an annoying situation.

Went in for new tires and when I picked up the truck.. There was a decent amount of grease on the passenger seat. This is now the 2nd time its happened at the King of Prussia location. The 1st time I was simply told sorry over the phone. If I could post a photo, I would. Looking for a response from somone on here.. And giving future customers a heads up.

The store is very neat, clean and well laid out.I needed help to determine which antifreeze to use for my wifes car. A salesperson came right over and asked if could assist me. I gladly accepted his help.Minutes later, I was walking out with the proper product.

So here we go. I take my dad to get his oil change. I was going to do it for him, he insisted that he wanted to let pep boys do it (later I found out he had a coupon). So we drop the truck off at 1:45 am and was surprised to find out they wanted us to wait till 1:30 - 2pm I said lets go home grab my car and we can drop the truck off so you wont have to wait 2hrs so we drop the car off at 12. We call at 2 and ask if truck is ready. My dad was told its ready for pickup. We arrive at 3:08 and it looked as if my truck never moved from its spot where my dad parked it..... Go inside service advisor says its ready to go goes into computer and says we need an additional 20mins. I said why? Did you not start it? No we forgot to do something. My dad freaked out and asked for the keys back. No oil change on a lift takes more than 20min. Yet they never Evan began the oil changed needless to say we left. That was horrible service. I really cant believe they never did the oil change during the 3 hour period. It really is ridiculous considering they had 4 techs and 3 cars before me. And a 10 tech bay on a Friday. I am extremely upset that all my time was wasted they offered us with no help tried lying to me and telling me they half did an oil change. Horrible service.

Service was slow and sub par at best. I’ve been here all week and was charged plenty of money for fixing my brakes. After over $1000 in parts and maintenance they could not properly bleed my brakes and now I have to push my brake halfway to the floor for them to do anything. Additionally, the manager was unable to give me an explanation as to why the brakes aren’t as sensitive as they should be. Going here is a gamble at getting decent service at best. Unfortunately, I’d recommend going elsewhere for any car service

I called to see if I could bring my car in for a simple oil change and was told to drop it off and they would return the car at close 9 PM. It should not take 7 hours to do an oil change. Unacceptable and the service technicians tone was also nonchalant. I refuse to spend money at a place where customer service is lacking in professionalism as well as quality. Pep boys loss.

Great service! I walked in needing two air filters for my car but not knowing what the model numbers were, an employee manning the front desk looked up my car and verified which ones I needed and helped me get them from the aisle. After that, he rang me up and I was out the door in no time with the correct air filters. 5 stars all around!

The guys here are great!!! I was out of town working when I had trouble with the company vehicle. They went out of their way to take care of me!!! BEWARE!!! For the love of google reviews, DO NOT trust this Pep Boys. Their amateur technicians will damage your car, and worse, they will not respect your precious time.I scheduled an appointment for the simplest possible repair, a nail in my tire. My car sat on the lift for a full hour before anyone even began inspecting it (what is the appointment even for?) Then, an employee wrestled with my wheel for a full hour, leaving noticeable scratches on it, while the other employees played on their phones, ensuring me that my car is nearly ready, every time I approached them for over an hour. Watching through the window, I could see no work being done. When I noticed the damage on my wheel and brought it to the attention of the staff, they claimed it was lube, and suggested I come back to discuss it with a manager (wasting more of my time I see). They did not even have the courtesy to address my low pressure dash light, which was still on. “Drive for a while, it’ll turn off”. I cannot express how disappointed I am in the staff, and their inability to take care of their customers. Consumers, you have been warned.

I do not usually do reviews but If you are a female do NOT go here they will try to rip you off !They Tried to overcharge me (which I’ve heard about them previously), but as soon as I got my diagnosis and they told me it would be 1000 dollars for spark plugs and coils I Paid them Their 100 dollars for the diagnosis, picked my car up and denied their service. EVERYWHERE else I brought it to be priced DIDNT have prices ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THAT, and every single one of the places made comments on how ridiculous the price was that pep boys was trying to charge me and couldn’t tell me why! It was really a matter of the other places availability, since I was trying to get it fixed as soon as possible and pep boys was the only ones with availability that morning .End up finally finding somewhere with availability and getting it fixed for less than half of that Thousand dollar price that pep boys gave me which I’m still unclear of how they came up with. When I called to question them about it A very rude unprofessional manager Todd would not even listen to me, over talking me and cutting me off, proving my point even more . I will NEVER be back there, and just a warning if you DON’T want to be overcharged, stay FAR away from this place !!!!!!!

I booked a 9AM appointment for a flat tire and an overheating issue and was told when I dropped my car off that theyd call me when they figure out whats up. Noon rolls around and Ive received no call, so I give them a ring instead, during which Im told that theyre about to look at it. At this point Im a little frustrated that it has taken this long for them to even check it out, and nervous that I wont have my car in time to get home after work if they find a bigger problem than expected. By 2:30PM, still no call. I ring again. They tell me its DONE, with zero explanation as to what exactly was done because nobody had called to tell me what was wrong and what they were going to do about it. They brought up the total for me before I was able to ask them what they did (which was hammer out a bend in the rim and seal a puncture in the tire). The overheating issue had not even been addressed, but I didnt have the time to wait around because I was picking it up on my break. This Pep Boys location is an incredibly convenient distance from where I work, but after this Im having second thoughts about using them again. The communication was nonexistent and I feel as though I was charged more for a simple service than I would have been at other places.

My daughter went into Pet boys this after noon and the workers were all very helpful including the cashier Todd who helped her get everything that she needed and was very polite about it. Even a young gentleman who helped her carry the tires all the way to her car. Greatest experience thanks to the employees.

The quality of work is what you would expect. Customer service is mediocre at best. I wasnt greeted at the counter and got some kind of gesture to say my car was done. During checkout they set up a rewards account without telling me. So now I get lots of spam. Go to another store if possible

Took my truck there for timing chain replacement. Took over 2 weeks to get my truck back. And when I did get it back it wasnt fixed right. The timing is still off and when I called them about it they said that they looked up the repair and saw they did it wrong. So they told me to come back to fix then the part they needed they cant get from anywhere. Its been over a month and still havent heard anything from them. I dont want to spend the money to have another shop tear apart the motor again to fix their stupid mistake. WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE FOR SERVICE AGAIN. ALSO CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS THERE HAVE THE PERSONALITY OF A WET RAG.....

I made an appointment at this location to have my oil changed. When I arrived it took a little while for someone to acknowledge me. When checking in I was asked if I was sure that I made an appointment at this location because they didnt have anything in the system and that they were booked for the rest of the night. I double checked and I was in the right location. A complete waste of my time.

Today I was there at 7 in the morning on the dot. At 7:30 they opened. At around 7:40 I asked how long were they were going to take and he said they still had to set up and they will take my car but he had an attitude. Overall they were very slow and even tho I was the first customer there about my car, they took someone else before me and they were there for the same thing I was there for. I didn’t leave until 8:30 for a battery that should of been replaced in 5 mins. I was not happy with their service. They dragged out things that could of been done quicker. Shouldn’t professionals be at work 15-20 mins before to set up so they can get straight to work when they start paying you? Maybe I’m just old school.

Update: the experience towards the evening was better. The estimated time was shared accurately. Got my wheel alignment done and fixed and wipers replaced. Overall fine experience but I will be providing another update by Friday as I have the AC repair scheduled then.I went in this morning at 8:58 am to get my AC checked on my BMW. The service person told it is going to be COUPLE OF HOURS to get it fixed. I wrote that in BOLD because the one star is for the poor estimate of time. I waited until 11:30 am and since I didnt get a call I called them. They didnt check my car until then. I was told my car was next in line. I called again at 1:45 pm no one picked up. 2:59 pm they mentioned they are looking at it now. 3:24 pm couldnt diagnosis it and a 59$ diagnosis fee is needed. 4:15 pm called back and no resolution. How hard is it to give a time and stick on with it? I will continue my feedback based on my complete experience shortly.
