I am a regular customer of this grocery shop. I took aloo gobi yesterday and I found a dead cockroach in the curry. Staffs are nice and friendly but this grocery shop should maintain hygiene when they have kichen and they sell cooked food. As we were regular customer I thought of not putting this review but then thought it is about severe health hazard. They should do proper pest control and maintain hygiene.
Worst food ever. We have ordered 2 times from here and both times were highly disappointed. First time had ordered paneer Tikka masala and aloo naan. The paneer Tikka was so sweet and the aloo naan masala was also not tasty. Second time we ordered veg Manchuria and it was just weird. Cannot even explain the taste. Could not even take a bite.
Nice food but super expensive
Went today to buy some grocery, as usual I ended up ordering some food from their kitchen. So it is 1 order pakora and 1 kadi pakora. They charged mein $3.49+tax for JUST 6 pakoras. The chutney that came along was stale. Trashed the chutneys. 😡
Good collections of Indian grocery and chat items. Ideal place for shopping, with neat guidance from shop owner and the staff.
Great fresh food, vegetables and fruit.Great Indian packaged, etc. Very helpful staff.
Hope they keep price tags for items such as frozen foofds else good place
Good place to find indian groceries, rice, lentils, oil and spices. You even get Maggi and Indian snacks as well. Also they are preparing indian meals as well.
The lady there (mist likely the owner herself) is the most arrogant and rude person I have seen in a business. Like really??!! She can never speak politely, no matter what you are talking about with her!!!! Wake up Ma’am!!
Great food and snacks
Nice little indian grocery store. Pretty well stocked for its size, you can find most essentials including fresh veggies and cooked food made to order.
Good takeout food and wide selection of Indian groceries
It is a small store but has almost everything you need for a desi cuisine. The store staff is friendly and help you find things. The fresh vegetables section is also small but has all the basic vegetables. The only thing I found was the tomatoes are usually old and very ripe. They also have a section for fresh food and roti.
Great service and very pleasant owner and employees
Its a nice Indian grocery store. The size of the store may be deciving as they do carry most of the Indian items. Additionally they have a food corner (serves only vegetarian items) which is open on the weekends. They serve some great chaat and indian entrees (apart from curries). Owners are really nice and respectfully greet and talk to their customers.
Nice place to shop groceries and kind of home cooked food served fresh. Also, we can get fresh Pav Bhaji, sweets and desserts too
Hidden gem of a place! Small store loaded with staples and specialty items. Took home three dishes from the counter in the back (takeout only). All were delicious! Be sure and ask about which ones are spicy - unless you want a surprise when you get home 🥵. Worth a visit when youre in KoP.
Nice place to grab indian cuisine at amazing prices.
I live the vegetarian ready to eat options and the grocery.
Goid Indian grocery in Philly suburbs
A lot of variety, reasonably priced items, have a kitchen for Indian food and sweets, lot of frozen variety in kulfis and ice-cream. Little lagging on fresh green leafy vegetables, else good enough.
Decent indian grocery store. I feel its a bit costly than other Indian stores. They sell food items too, but not all items are tasty.
I am bound to give one star, as nothing less than this.Would not recommend anyone to come to this store. Pathetic store and customer service, maximum food items are expired. Several items billed twice and shop owner doesn’t agree to his mistake and not ready to refund. Even on the current bill, items are getting billed twice, on this he says” you are talking and making me confused”. A man who is running and owner of the store is getting confused if a customer is talking, this happens only when the individual is guilty and lying. Silly excuse. Would never visit the store again.
Its a grocery store with their own kitchen. They make variety of north Indian vegetarian food, which is pretty good. I will visit this next time to try out some more dishes.
Some of the best food in King of Prussia PERIOD.
Good place for Indian food items. A small shop with most essential Indian food items. Staff are nice
Awesome place to shop for all regular needs, chat, samosa and veggies. Owner is so polite and helpful.
Always have a great experience buying stuff here
Great place to shop for groceries. Food cooked there is very hygienic and tasty. Owners are really nice people.
I had SRS Bazaar cater a small dinner party at my house for 15 people. The vegetarian food was excellent! It was tasty, fresh and not at all oily! I will use them again in the future!
Today I searched if there was any Indian Grocery store near my work place so i got this on google maps. My 5 star rating is based on the following.1- The main thing was neat and clean place2- The Owners of the place welcomed me from the door with a cheerful smile and I found the staff was the same way nice.3- Every single thing that i use to see on big Indian Grocery stores, it was here too.4- Vegetables were fresh and quality5- There fresh baked Nans and Samosas were pricelessly delicious and cheaper than others.5- The place has plenty of good free parking.
Best place found so far to buy Indian groceries. They do have kitchen where they serve Indian food. Thats good too.
Gajar Halwa is really good.. little pricey but worth the priceGreat vegetarian food for takeout.. and good pricing on grocery items
Stopped by to pick up some spices for a dish I was making with my new instant pot. The owner helped me find what I needed and was very friendly. Great selection and the prices seemed very reasonable. This place deserves your business!
Good cozy grocery store with all the essentials. And as a bonus they make a hot lunch!! Great place to get authentic Indian food and chat!!! If you want to try what what Indians eat at home this is the place! Did I mention they make chat?! :)
Good variety of rice available. You get good quality of parathas, chapatis, curries & sweets available at its own kitchen in the store.
Great, fresh and hot Indian food to eat! Nice shopping place for Indian groceries (including some fresh vegetables). And nice and friendly people. Today was my first visit there and I loved it!
Raj and his team provide superb customer service and fantastic food. I regularly place orders for work events and the food never disappoints! The store itself has a wide range of dry and cold goods, and Raj is a consummate and obliging help. Ive ordered from SRS 10+ times, have been in the store twice as often, and I plan to go back again soon!
Had a bad experience at this store yesterday and I cant believe any store can go such extent during a turbulent time like this. Price stickers were missing on all essential items like rice, atta, Deep frozen paratha, paneer. They had a price list of all rice bags on the adjacent wall but its all removed now.Only Kitchen king rozanna basmati rice had price sticker of 8.99 which the store girl billed me for 9.99 even after telling her the marked price, she did not agree and said she will check the price. But, as soon as she ring me out,she started ringing other customers. It might just look like $1 but imagine if the store is practising this on other items, we would never know. I do not understand why it is so difficult to put a price sticker of the products you are selling.Atleast they should be considerate of current situation rather than taking advantage of it. Hope to see a positive change in their practise.
New Indian Grocery in the KOP area. The Shop owner is very courteous to requests and products are stocked up well. They have a small food joint inside the shop and you can order food to your size and either eat inside or make it to go. The only concern here is the vegetables and they are not fresh anytime. Not sure why. But this is the best Indian Grocery in King of Prussia area in my opinion.
Welcoming and warm always!! They have everything that you cant find elsewhere. They also ordered special masalas for me when I needed them. Delicious fresh food served daily except Monday.
We are so excited to have SRS near us! Now we have access to a great local Indian Grocery that also has a wonderful hot bar in the back serving delicious vegetarian specialties. The staff is also very nice and helpful. Thank you SRS for saving us from the doldrums of mediocre, homogenous suburban food!
Good store for Indian grocery. Store owner very helpful too
This market features a hot selection of freshly prepared food daily. Food is good. I usually ask for the less spicy selection. All is vegetarian and prices are reasonable.
Its correct name is SRS Value Bazaar. If you want to eat freshly cooked Punjabi vegetarian food, this IS the place. You can shop for Indian groceries, as an added bonus. Hands down, this place and Dana Mandi (on Chestnut near Drexel) are the 2 best north Indian eateries in the Philly area. You dont need to travel to Karol Bagh, Delhi for this food anymore!
Best place for Indian grocery. The prices are affordable and the owners are very friendly. Never miss the chai!
Simple. Sweet and nice.. Friendly staff ever ready to help.. Its a small piece of India in USA.. Theyre stocked with pretty much everything any South East Asian would require in terms of food and groceries
They have all the essentials you need. Also they make some really good entrees for a take out. I would vouch for the chana masala.
Nice place and they didt not have non vegetarian related food..but it very good
Convenient store for Indian goods and food. Everything is easily available and has good quality.
Got mango lassi and I sipped it while I was stepping out, it tasted weird so opened the lid and checked, the smell was no right.I immediately went to the lady who gave me the lassi and she refused to accept that it was bad and when I asked her to smell her reply was ‘why will I smell’ and she said I would have to wait for someone toCome to get an answer ..... I was Wasn’t even asking for refund. WhenI asked her to trash it, she said you take it and trash it I wouldn’t touch it!!!! I was a regular here since many years....Ridiculous how they treat you once the sale is made!!!!NEVER going to step in here again!
Theyve got everything! The hot, fresh food they serve at the take out counter is incredibly delicious. Best garlic naan Ive ever had!
The staff here is always curteous. Ive had the cashier strike up a conversation a few of the times Ive been in. They have a decent selection of fresh vegetables and a good selection of spices and other dry goods. As with every grocery store, you should check the dates on what youre buying, there are things here that are past their best by date. Doesnt mean theyre bad just that they may have dimished flavor.I havent tried the hot foods from their steam table but the I do notice that the foods are mainly vegetarian and they have a take-out lunch special during the week
Best options of lunch and dinner if you like vegetarian food. I highly recommend!
Awesome place to find great Indian cuisine! I love cooking and this place just made it more fun to try new food!
Excellent selection, delicious take out, fantastic value
This place is neat n clean.Store has fresh green veggies.even they started a snacks corner .indian regular items are available.
Enterprising owner and good quick bites. Need to however be careful of stale food sometimes.
Great place to buy food. Amazing customer service.
Great food not your typical American place to eat. Amazingly delicious
Management is very friendly and helpful. Variety of indian food and grocery available at reasonable prices
If you need a random asian ingredient like black sesame seeds chances are you might be able to find it here.
Got samosa today and it was not fresh and fried multiple times as usual. Food is mostly oily and not fresh . Check expiry dates before buying food items. Items are over priced as compared to other Indian stores. They don’t accept card if bill is less than $10, I don’t know any other store who does this. Only reason I use to go there is that it’s close to my place but I won’t mind driving couple of miles next time.
SRS bazar has most of the Indian groceries, they also have a tiny kitchen with a menu for folks who wish to order take-out. All staff are very helpful and friendly. The only downside to this store is that some packed snacks and ready-to-eat food are quite old and they exist past their expiry date, so do check out the dates. Also, veggies are quite pricey compared to the local farmers market. Cilantro and methi bunches contain very few springs.
With a rating like this, there is only one direction to go from here, but I doubt it that the owners will let that happen. During a stay at a nearby hotel, I literally flipped a coin and chose this one over another Indian grocery store (as I do not know the area). I found that the building itself look refreshingly different from ones in which typical Indian stores are located, and the interior was organized, bright and inviting. The store seemed to be frequented by the scores of Indians that seemingly lived in large apartment communities quite literally next door. Their cooked food tasted pretty good for a setting of this type (I took out dinner every night), with quite some variety and the chaats, and their sweets were above grade as well. The general demeanor of the staff seemed rather commendable, rather warm and friendly. I have high hopes for when I settle in the area and make this my Indian grocery store.
For desi grocery...good place
Excellent food, very reasonable prices, very friendly people
They sell expired food. Never go there again the owner is mean and Nasty!!!
Good place to buy Indian grocery. Also have a small restaurant inside. Owner is pretty friendly.
Awesome breakfast and lunch i prefer Pathora with chanay.
This is the best grocery in the area. They have everything you need, plus delicious take-out.
Amazing vegetarian food. The closest thing to home food . The best Indian vegetarian food I have ever had.
Small store but accessible with all required groceries... best value deals and amazing food..
Small shop, best grocery stores for the apartments near by. for all your Indian grocery purchases, this is your sure stop shop.
Food is good. Home-cooked feel. Though the servings are a little small for the price.
Great range of products and really friendly employees.
Clean and well kept store. Ithink has a limited selection of goods primarily due to its size.
I love this place and I can find the products I need in this area.
Absolutely love the chaat served here. Would recommend the samosa and all papri chaat. Best to eat it as soon as its made!😄
Awesome place to get Indian stuff. Lookout fir chhole batura in weekends. Samosas are also good.
After long time, found the real North Indian panjabi food taste. Any type of Paratha are awesome. Good thing is they prepare fresh.
Some of the food packet items were expired almost 6-8 months ago and still it was there in the rack. Also, I was charged more for my purchase. My mistake was I verified the receipt after coming home. Worst Indian store experience ever. I will never visit this place again.
Excellent customer service, delicious buffet. Recently I got paranthas made by Ms. Rimpi- all our friends loved them !!
Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Food items are being made fresh in store and are good.
Quite possibly the best Indian food Ive ever had. Home-made with love.
I bought food from there. The price was insane, for a tiny side of rice they charged me $6.99, when I told them that they said that the price. Must be made with gold or something. Also I ordered a vegetable dish, it had no taste- very bland. I would not go back there again!
Very good grocery store, the owners are polite and courteous. We enjoy their chola bhatura a lot.
Check expiry dates on products before buying. Good range if items at decent rates
Clean and stocked. What more can you ask for?
Indian grocer with great selection of fresh and frozen ingredients as well as prepared foods.
Great food at great prices. 4.99 lunch special was awesome, and the samosas were some of the best Ive ever had.
Best place for Indian food. Tastes very authentic!
Great place for Indian food items.
Good place for Indian stuff. They got everything or they will arrange.
Good Vegetarian food i enjoyed chole bhature and chat items...really good in taste.
