Very pleased with the work completed by Advanced Transmission. Bob is a really great guy! He loaned me a car while he fixed my vehicle (Subaru), and went above and beyond just repairing what it needed (new seal on the torque converter). He also fixed the exhaust system (I had a busted tailpipe).I cant recommend this repair shop enough, Bob is far above the best mechanic I ever dealt with! It would be a crime to go anywhere else! This place is absolutely the best. Brought in my 07 Chevy Silverado to get my transmission diagnosed which they do for FREE and ended up needing a rebuild which doesnt surprise me its a Chevy. But $3k later and I got it back. Took it to Idaho and back to Arizona with zero issues. Shifts better than what a stock one from autozone would do. Highly recommend this place.

I was towed in Bob Called 3 times asked me if I wanted heavy duty parts, I said yes, didnt put any of them in, justed charged me for them. I broke down again in Holbrook Arizona, Big Rondas transmission fixed my transmission, Bob did nothing but lie to me promise to make it right, My credit card people had to go after him to get my money back, Also the Attorney General of Arizona went after him also, I finally got my money back, But I paid for 3 more nights in Holbrook for motel, And paid to have my transmission completely gone through, advanced transmission messed the valve body up so bad I couldnt even get a corcharge out of it, not counting put my old torque converter back in it with all the metal in it that came out and destroyed my transmission a 2nd time, think God I broke down in Holbrook and was towed to Big Rhondas transmissions

We were traveling with a 35-foot & 21 year old Motorhome through Kingman on our way to the Louisiana Texas border and our transmission went out. We got are vehicle back on the road after a few days and thankfully Advanced Transmission was able to diagnose the original cause & they saved us another transmission failure by finding out that the transmission cooler was not working properly after taking a couple test drives. After the test drives they discovered that the transmission oil temperature was way too high and eventually this would have led to another transmission failure. It did cost us another day but its saved us thousands of dollars and another transmission failure we are thankful for Bobby and his crew and the work that they are doing to help repair Travelers and locals in their area. Thank you so much Bobbie it was fun getting to know you guys a little bit... see you later Jake and Haden! These guys ROCKED Bob took care of me when I was towing my trailer across the country. Blew out my transfer case and he was able to get the parts and have me back on the road 24 hours after I dropped my truck with him. This place is legit. My rear end started growling near Oatman on a out of state trip. I ended up in Kingman and found Advanced. Bob the owner has a policy of expediting travelers to get them on the road asap. The place seems really busy, no surprise I guess being on route 66 and I-40 and millions pass through every year.The parts took time to get there but I cant blame them for that Kingman is a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. Bob let me stay in my van in an adjacent lot until the parts arrived but theres a bunch of cheap motels just up the street. The work got done fast ounce the parts arrived and the price seemed fair. A couple weeks later I kept hearing noises coming from under my van and called Bob he told me to go see his Son in Prescott who also owns a Shop. Prescott wasent far and there they meticulously inspected the work. They found nothing as it turned out to something completely unrelated to the differential. So I know 100% they stand behind there work. I hope I never break down in Kingman again but if I do Id go see Bob at Advanced.

I am so happy! They got me in right away! My car is running so much smoother after my transmission flush. My old cabin filter had a forest of leaves in it! I recommend changing them if you dont.

Had a continued issues with the transfer case on my 2012 Ram 3500, had it “repaired” twice by two other shops but the problem was still there and never actually fixed. I constantly got the run around with what the actual issue was. Brought it to Bob at Advanced transmission and he was able to diagnose the actual problem fix my truck and transfer case and finally after a year of disappointment I can use the truck for what it was intended for. I will never go anywhere else, Bob is honest and extremely knowledgeable far exceeded our expectations!! Highly recommended!!! Thanks Bob!!

We are from out of town. As we drove into Kingman, AZ, my husband knew something was wrong with the transmission on his Ford F250, which was also pulling our Fifth Wheel. Thankfully, Advanced Transmission was right across the street. He went over right before they closed and they gave him some transmission fluid and said to bring his truck in the next morning. Oh, and it was Christmas week!!!They figured out what was wrong, ordered the part and had our truck working in record time. 2008 Chevy pickup w/ duramax diesel. Trans slipped out of gear and warning lights appeared on dash that would not go away. Had towed to Advanced transmission. Contacted Bob who stated it would take a couple of days to even look at it. The next afternoon Bob called me and told me my truck was fixed!!! Said it was a sensor with a broken wire. I asked him how much it was going to cost and he told me that there would be NO CHARGE. He said it only took about 10 minutes to diagnose and that he had an old spare pickup at the shop and took the sensor from that and put it in my truck. Never in my 71 yrs has that ever happed to me. I was blown away by the honesty and integrity of this shop. He could have easily charged me $75.00 or more just for the diagnosis which would have been fair but he did not. If I ever have transmission problems again there is no other place i will take my vehicles.

This place has reminded me why I do not trust anyone but myself. I talked to the mencanics/ techs to put in a new rear main oil seal while they had my transmission out rebuilding it. They did not put in the main oil seal. They also told me when I asked for them to compleatley rebuild my transmission, they answerd back with we only replace what is needed. I as a tech myself know that this practice is a recipe for disaster and transmissions comming apart they charged me 2,800.00 witch I paid, plus I supplied the fluid.and now they want to charge me an additional 540.00 for there mess up when they did not do what they said they where going to do in the first place. Iam a resenable guy Iam willing to give them 400.00 for there troubles on top of the 2800. Cause they have to reremove the transmission agin to replace the oil seal. Cause they messed up. These things happen. But so far they have not been willing to work with me. And btw this is on a 96 lincoln towncar same as a 96 crownvictoria. I know that things are not free and prices will only continue to go up . I compleatley understand this. BUT Daisey told me over the phone to just sign my car over to them, these people have no heart. And I believe all there good reviews are from Family and people they know. Cause all the 5 star reviews they have are from Google accounts and people who are at the shop. Now iam not trying to ruin them with what they are doing to me as a customer. But agin Iam willing to pay 400.00 for there troubles, 500.00 is getting to excessive for somthing they forgott to do in the first place. So take this as a warning when dealing with this place. Btw when I was on the phone all Daisey cared about was dog food for there dogs. Yes iam an animal lover my self but use walmart delivery or amazon to get dog food and put it on subscription. The big, big promble I see with this family run business is that no one communicates to one another about what is going on and what needs to be done to each project / vehicle, I believe that they have way more business than they can handle. I as a business man my self I know my own limitations. And iam in automotive electric and electronics repair myself. So I do understand that the prices on everything will only go up. And I myself have taken many losses myself when diagnosing and repairing other people electronics and auto electric. So I do understand. But these people are so far compleatley unreasonable there not willing to admitt there mistake. agin Iam not trying to get a free job out of them agin Iam willing to pay them 400.00$ for there trouble, but so far all they care about is lining there pockets with all the dollor bills they can line there pockets with. Btw I supplied the transmission fluid mercon dextron 5 and the oil and filter. Fl820s. They did supply the oil seal and trans gasket and filter. To be fair.Btw iam not complaining about the transmission, iam complaining about the observed cost for somthing they forgott to do in the first place. Btw I offered to pay 400 now and leave the car there untill I was able to pay the rest and they said no.they probablyey did not rebuild my transmission, they probabley only replaced my trans oil pump from the sound of it. And I paid for a transmission rebuild. The owner bob is a liar. Plus iam a patient guy my car has been there for almost 3 monts. Now my car will not shift into over drive and my main engin oil seal still leaks oil. So I paid 3,300 for a 200 dollar transmission fluid pump. Bob is a crook. Do not go here for any work of anykind.

Had problems with our transmission on our way traveling home. Called advanced and they were able to get us in right away to take a look. Could not find anything wrong but told us to keep an eye on it on our way home. Bob did not charge us for the evaluation even though we wanted to pay him some for the mechanics time. Nice to know that there are shops out there that will do right by you in an emergency.

Replaced my engine and transmission here. They returned my truck and it broke down the very next day after being at their shop for over a month. Called them and they want me to pay for towing. Would not do business with them again. Looking into suing at this time or getting truck fixed. Would definitely go elsewhere. Communicative and professional otherwise just not quality work.

This shop got us on the road ASAP, with one day lag only because the parts had to come from Vegas. They would have had us on the road in hours had the parts been in town. I was in need of auto repairs on my older car. I hadnt had any car work done since moving to Kingman a few years ago, so I had no idea where or how to start to find a good, fair and honest shop to go to. Recently I browsed thru the Shopper/Flyer and I saw their ad. I really liked the fact that it was a local family owned shop. Well I had to start somewhere and with a small, inexpensive repair so I schedule an oil change. The staff was very friendly and helpful., and I had a very comfortable feeling that I would not be taken advantage of. Bob handled the office duties that morning and was very pleasant to work with. I asked if the tech could give my car a check-up so I would know what future repairs I would need and the priority in order to get them done. He explained what I needed, why I needed it and the impacts it would have on my car. He was very accommodating and when I left I felt I received excellent service and an action plan that I understood. I will be returning to this shop for my future car repairs. I am from out of town so I did not quite know where to go for honest high quality service. Kingman was the nearest big town and they are approved by the BBB (Better Business Bureau). So I took a chance on them and let me say Bob and Dillon and crew are the best. In 3 hours I drove away with a new set of brakes and an oil change and all at a VERY affordable price. These guys are the best auto repair shops in Kingman and Prescott!

Experienced problems with shifting gears during a road trip from WV to CA and stopped in here because of the reviews. Fast service. He had me in and out in two hours. Bob and Larry were both very nice. The place itself was easy to get to and really clean and cool in the waiting area. Im not very knowledgeable about the pricing of services but it was affordable. I am very thankful this was the place I came to.

Advance Transmission has rebuilt two transmissions for me and I’m very happy with the end result. One being a manual for a Nissan frontier and the latter being automatic for the Ram 1500 truck.I believe the best way you find out about a repair facility/shop and it’s commitment/ethical character in providing honest repairs is when something actually goes wrong. As was the case of the Ram 1500 rebuild. After taking the truck home their was a small leak near the back of the transmission after a couple of attempts without success the problem was located, it was a hole in the back of yoke spline. This part was not designed to have a hole and was defective even before I brought this in, it should have been solid.This shop spent a lot of man hours after the sale to take care of the problem and satisfy me. In addition, since they did not catch this hole in the spline immediately and I suspect no one else would have either and the for inconvenience, they at no cost to me replaced the U-joint and yoke. Advanced Transmissions was willing to do whatever it took to have a satisfied customer.I seldom write reviews but when a company goes out and exceeds my expectations and delivers outstanding customer satisfaction and follow-up as did Advance Transmissions. I feel the need to get the word out that this company wants your return business and they are willing to earn it.W.M.B.

While traveling from Texas to home in N. Calif I lost my transmission outside of kingman. My wife called around and Bob was the only shop that actually understood my problem and dispatched a tow truck to get me off the side of the freeway. After getting to the shop on Friday afternoon the issue came up on what to do next being I was on vacation and only had a week or so off and it was going to take a few days to get the truck fixed. We checked on flights, car rental, wife driving 10 hrs one way to get me Bob offered to let me use one of his cars so I could continue home. Thank you Bob for your support

Id give them 4.5 if I could. Took my car in and the only issue I had was a little miscommunication which nobody likes when youre talking about the more expensive repairs however the owner made it right and offered to do so without hesitation once he was aware of it. Overall I think its a great shop, honest and they do good work. Id recommend to anyone needing transmission work and I think I found a new place to bring my car to.

Told me it would take 3 days to bleed a clutch and still had not done it one week later!!! Also ruined my battery wen they left the headlights on for days.

I had a great experience with Advanced Transmission Rebuilding. The AC went out in my 2004 Honda Element. I called them Tuesday afternoon and Joe said bring it in Wednesday morning and they would diagnose the problem. Early Thursday morn Joe called and told me the problem and what the cost would be. It was repaired and ready Thursday afternoon. I feel I have found a repair shop I can trust to do good work in a timely manner at a reasonable price. Our GPS led us to Advanced Transmissions after we had a gear problem in our Dodge Dually while pulling our 5th wheel on I-40. They removed the transmission, ordered parts, and repaired it in five days which included a weekend! It was just a perfect rebuild. Drives better than the old one. The 12,000 miles home were a pleasure to drive. A very professional place with top notch people.

I went into Advanced Transmissions for the first time anticipating a $800+ four-wheel drive repair, but their mechanics advised that the problem turned out to be minor. Another trusted mechanic of mine in town had recommended Advanced Transmissions, and I totally see why. They were WONDERFUL. They will eliminate any fear of paying ungoshly amounts for any unnecessary repair jobs. Advanced Transmissions will not take advantage of you! Worstest experience.On the way to Grand Canyon my Honda Odyssey broke down with transmission problem. Still it was in running condition. I took the van to garage. Mr.Joe said that he will inspect and get back to me. After a couple of days he called me and said that, it will cost $5172 to rebuild. I was shocked. I requested him to reassembly the transmission so that I can take it. Then he said fine, but pay $1250 to take the van from garage (this is his labor for diagnosis) I was ready to sell the van for a cheap amount. He said that just sign the papers and walk over ( thats the best he could) well. I paid $1100 and got rid of him. Unfortunately I found another customer like me, begging hMr.Joe to pay at least $500 to take his truck, or release his truck by charging $800. Be careful with this Dino. If you go there, you have to prepare to leave your vehicle there, for free of cost. Dont sign any papers. He will do it first. Dont fall in his trap......

We were traveling from Fallon nv to Tucson az for a funeral. We stopped in searchlight nv for the night to discover we had a bad tire on our 5th wheel rv and the clutch going out on our truck. Next morning my husband got the tire changed and a friend sent me 3 places to call to get quotes for a new clutch. One never got back to us and another said he couldnt do anything until Monday but when I called advanced Bob answered the phone and was so kind and be got us a quote and a call back in about 15 minutes. We were 50 miles from Kingman az so my husband in his awesomeness got us to Bobs shop Friday late morning they took the truck in right away ordered the parts and even came in on a Saturday to fix our truck for us. We were able to park our RV across the street and spent Friday and part of Saturday there. Bob even loaned us the shop car to go to the grocery store and recommended an awesome pizza place. I can not say enough good things about this business the customer service and quality of work. All outstanding. Thank you bob and julian. You make a very difficult time easier.

Profession work, clean but lack honesty and integrity and sometimes due diligence. Asked how much I could afford, replied $2000. Never called and several days later had a bill for $4300. Paid it. Replaced transmission pan, still a few drops of oil, will not redo work. Said they used synthetic oil so I had an oil change, they used a blend. Charged almost $100 labor and one ignition coil. Could buy, on line, 8 ignition coils for the price they charged for one. CRIMINAL. I bought a transmission pan to replace one I damaged. You would think the would use a gasket m, no they used rv sealant and it leaked. Would they replace it, no. I finally had it replaced with a mahke gasket. The mechanic had a hell if a time remove their rv sealant.

1996 ford f350 7.3ltr powerstroke diesel, crewcab dually. I came in for a clutch replacement with me provideing the clutch, the flywheel, and all the other goodies. I was sent the wrong flywheel, which meant some of the other parts were useless too. Lets say, they worked around it. They found that the rear main seal was leaking, which meant the engine had to be yanked to make the repair. I was aware of the problems, but waiting for the crew I could trust. They provided me with a loaner car, and made all the repairs by the next day, and the cost was reasonable. My hat is off to this knowledgeable group of people.

Called ahead of time and they said go ahead and leave my car in the morning and it would be seen but expect it to be all day, which was totally fine. After driving 50 miles from Dolan springs we left the car there at 9am. All day passed walking around kingman 7 months pregnant and tired. I called at 5 before closing to see what was going on and it hadnt even been looked at yet!!!! He neglected to apologize, and told me to drive another 50 miles and wait all day tomorrow!!!!!!! Very disappointed! Ive spent 8 hours walking and waiting to be told they did nothing and Come back tomorrow!!

Traveling cross country and blew my trans front seal here in kingman. 5 grand later (700 to change a $150 fan clutch) im back on the road. Didnt make it 15 miles to the truck stop and the trans is leaking, turn around and book yet another night at a motel... he looks at it and says fluid is coming out the overflow because im towing too much. Trans never leaked before the seal went. Didnt make it another 1000 miles and i start losing drive...add more fluid and lucas and eventually give up towing in tenessee, leaving all my posessions in storage. Went to a lube shop for a new filter and flush, once they removed the pan there were several nuts and bolts loose in the bottom! It currently loses a quart of fluid in about 15 miles and im babying it trying to source a 6 speed swap. This shop is quite literally highway robbery. I asked for an aftermarket cooler yet cannot see one anywhere and the hoses go to the stock in-radiator cooler. Yet the cooler shows up on the reciept. This guy will take full advantage of you being stranded. All in all im out over 7 grand after towing and motel for shoddy work and a warranty that is only good 2000 miles back the way i came. This is the exact definition of highway robbery.
