I had a great experience having my eye exam today! Dr Follansbee was so fantastic! She made it quick and easy and had great recommendations for helping me focus while working on a computer all day! Definitely recommend seeing her!

We did not know our child had vision issues until we took him for his wellness check with his pediatrician. Dr. Carlson’s office got us in the next day and Dr. N was incredible! We were very satisfied with the staff and the best part was his glasses and lens were able to be ready in an hour!! We will continue using this optometrist and now our child says ‘it’s like seeing everything in high definition.’ Also, you cannot beat the prices, but the quality of care is amazing! Thank you!!

I have truly never had a more thorough eye exam, and I have worn glasses for 20 years! Dr. Follansbee was easy to talk to and I didn’t feel rushed out of the office! She talked me through some of my dry eye issues I was having and helped come up with some ideas for me to try. I am so impressed and know I know that I have found my new eye doctor! 10/10 recommend!

I went in the Dr. Carlson’s office for an eye appointment, and to renew prescriptions for glasses and contacts. The exam was brief and thorough, and delivery of my contact lenses and glasses was very quick! I will be going back for all of my eye issues!

This was my first time visiting Dr. Torrey Carlson and Associates. With everything going on at this time this experience was wonderful. I absolutely love the office staff. Ive been going to them since I moved to Kingsport (about 6 years ago) and every time they are so sweet and professional. All the doctors are knowledgeable and helpful. This is the best place to go in Kingsport!

The best around! Ive worn glasses for 26 years now and have gone here off and on over that time. Ive gone to some cheaper places and while they are all good, I always come back here. They are able to work with insurance and work with different availabilities and are even open on weekends. I may have seen some of the other doctors that I dont recall but Ive only seen Dr Carlson as an adult and he is an amazing doctor! He always seems to remember me personally and not just as another patient, and he seems to actually care about what you want instead of just doing the bare minimum like some doctors do, regardless of your insurance status.

A very thorough exam with nice people. They also helped schedule my appointment with the specialist I needed.

I enjoyed what they did and the Optometrist what great. She was efficient and was able to handle both my wife and I. They are up to date on all the technology for that field and was easy to deal with. I would say the best visit I have had compared to other places.

I have been seeing Dr. Carlson for several years and am always impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the entire staff. Ive never had a bad experience with anyone there. Because of a medication Im on, I have to see Dr. Carlson every 6 months and he always explains, in terms I can understand, whats going on with my eyes, if anything. I cant imagine going elsewhere for my eye care. I highly recommend Dr. Carlson to anyone needing eye care.

I cannot put into words the respect and professionalism that this particular vision care center bestowed upon myself and a few of my co-workers! My husband, daughter, and I had a great experience with LensCrafters. It was super easy to make the appointments online. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and efficient. My daughter especially liked Dr. Gilliam. We will definitely continue to use this office for our eye exams.

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to my daughter for her first eye exam. They made her feel safe and she was happy when she left which isn’t always easy for a 4 year old. Great staff would definitely recommend.

Wonderful staff (Crystal in the front office is fantastic!)and short wait times. I highly recommend going there for your eye care needs.

My husband had his eye exam this week before last. While waiting in the tiny waiting area, the office workers would not stop talking about their recent wedding destination/ vacation. They were so loud that we could hear them in our actual examination room. The physician was very nice and very thorough, however, the female office workers were awful. On top of ranting about their vacation and their first world problems about children who we waiting by the bus area after getting off their plane who were dirty and looked emaciated and were begging for money and then laughing about it, a different female employee also neglected to actually order my husbands contact lenses. We were told to wait 5-7 days and they would be in. We waited 9 days with no response, so I called and a nice guy who worked in the office told me he was sorry and would fix it. We also encountered two other nice male employees, who were very willing to help us with our visit when we were in the office. We have used this office for ten years. We will probably be finding a new office after this terrible visit. I can not believe how unprofessional the girls at the front desk were. I would be ashamed to have them work for me personally.

I have seen Dr. Monica Szalajko. My eye exam was done in the Johnson City, TN location but most other visits have been in the Kingsport location. She has been fantastic. My transition from glasses to contacts and anything else along the way has been a great experience. She listened to my concerns and the goals I wanted to accomplish for my eyesight while working or out having fun with the kids. In addition to her being easy and great to work with, the hours are great!

Dr. Carlson and his staff are great. They really care about their patients.

Trying to charge us $200 for contacts that we NEVER got from this company nor ordered. They billed our insurance and our insurance denied them because we reached our limit for contacts cause we purchase contacts elsewhere and earlier this year. Not paying for services we didn’t get or agree too. Sorry not sorry.

Have been told three different things. Never had such a hard time getting an eye appointment. Horrible customer service from the front desk. If you tell someone you can see them make sure it’s possible.

Always get excellent service and work at the practice. Opportunity for improvement taking 5 days to respond to message.
