I normally dont give bad reviews, but I feel as though it is warranted this time.My husband and I purchased a home less than a year ago. Basically, everything has been very smooth. Any issues, with anything inside our home has been taken care of quickly and professionally. The maintenance men, Mike and Eddie are great and deserve the highest praise. Overall, our experience has been mostly a positive one with the . Our problem is the contractor. His work and his team do great work but getting them back to finish has been a challenge to say the least. It is now September and weve asked multiple times for them to come back and finish up only to fall on deaf ears.Hoping we can get finished up soon as we are very patient but not happy being put off.
After a house fire, I decided a modular home was best for us. I am so glad I chose Clayton in Kingsport TN, Heath Kevin and Mike were all amazing to work with. No pressure always going above and beyond to ensure our happiness! They were able to speak with the manufacturer and they bumped us up to the front of the line in order to get us home sooner after our tragic loss! I really cant not speak highly enough of this staff! Our home was better then I ever expected! I dont know alot about the other Claytons but this one definitely recommended
Ken Lane was an excellent seller. No pressure. Very professional. General manager, Kevin Smith, also very professional. Absolute recommend. Kingsport, TN.
Have some really beautiful homes!
Friendly helpful and we just bought a new home frome them wouldnt recommend anyone but them!
We bought our home last fall, and we love it. The staff at Clayton Kingsport have been helpful with every step of the way. We were able to have the home we wanted due to the staff there. Everyone from the sales staff to the all the work that came after they helped make our experience easier.
Update to my original review.. I took the advice left by the owner in the reply. I called clayton. Asked for Kevin Smith. Let him know what was going on. He scolded me for leaving a bad review stating that it wasnt going to get me anywhere. He promised that his service person would call me the following Monday. Were now months later and still nothing. He also made it a point to bring it to my attention that him and his crew had done things that were not in my contract. The only thing he had done was sending someone out to fix my yard because CLAYTON homes destroyed it and to be honest it still isnt fixed.. to spend 90k on a home and 2 years later it isnt finished is bs. Do NOT buy your house here.Normally not one to give reviews.. Ive had to call so many times I cant keep up.. we bought our house last April. We didnt get moved in until july and even then ended up finishing the trim work ourselves because the guy clayton sent out was either high or drunk and we had to ask him to leave. Then of course they gave us some bs story and excuse and sent someone else out. This guy comes with 0 tools to finish our service work. Puts ONE nail in and says he will be back and that was 8 months ago..Ken got upset because I didnt do his survey after the home was completed and when I called the last time he wouldnt even speak to me, he transferred me to someone else. Super unprofessional.. not happy at all!
Ken Lane was my salesman! He took no notes on what we wanted. We have been working with him since August. I was pushed to sign closing in November but didnt even get my home in til February. Our land was a bit of a struggle for us and them. I traded in a nice home..used of course. I called to explain my electric stove caught on fire and he proceeded to scream and call me shady. This was the 2nd verbal abuse from Ken. So I stopped talking to Ken and worked with management Kevin. Monday I called to ask for Kevin and Ken happened to answer the phone.. Again he verbally abused me again. The manager believe I was at fault. I called corporate and have a case. DO NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL...
I have never written a bad review before but I was very disappointed in this business. I had been pre-qualified from Vanderbilt because I was moving to the area. I drove 1700 miles from NM to look at available homes after looking at the website pictures. When I arrived I told the younger gentleman I wanted to look at the homes. He allowed to start looking but kept returning to office as manager kept pressuring him to make me come in and do financials, make me stop my looking AGAIN like 4 times in order to get my lender to give them my approvals. I am disabled and it was hard enough to walk around the lot, but to have my experience changed over to a deliberate and vicious attack demanding my pre-approval to be shown to them. They went as fr as to contacting my mortgage team leader and he told them I had to approve it. They made my experience HORRID ! I would not recommend anyone on this lot as I took my business else ware even if I have to pay double. I think maybe they should have just saved me the time and effort and said we are money hungry non-professionals who could careless about what you should want or have experienced here. If they treated me on the lot like that I cannot image their help in house purchase and set -up. I went to Rogersville Clayton Homes where the customer experience means quite a bit more than a bonus check and very little professionalization.
My boyfriend is a maintenance man with them. He has worked with them for 3 almost 4 years and he likes his job.
Nice selection of model homes
