We got donuts for our wedding. They were delicious, festive, and they gave us a few extra to try out! Everyone loved them.
Love a good candy store. Nice selection or treats and ice cream.
Amazing homemade fudge. Not too sweet!!!
Afternoon fun with the kiddies to get out and enjoy the biggest assortment of sweets that are available in one place! And the fact that you can walk the uptown scenic streets and let the sugar rush lead the way....
A joy to both the eyes and the tounge. This place is run by someone with love for the craft of candy and amazing skills. You have to pop in and treat yourself. Chocolate and peanut butter, yes please!
Had what the family wanted, specifically homemade candy. Covid-19 limited one person to store .
This could potentially be a great store. The candy variety is so nice. There were some things there I hadnt seen in a while and it was nice to see a variety of licorice!(no fudge tho... so sad). The girl/lady working there looked as if shed rather be somewhere else and really didnt have much patience for my 8 year old....
So many sweets, so little space! Keep turning around, theres always something amazing behind you! Make sure you stick around for a fresh fried donut.
Having a candy store in this area is hugely fitting and this is an especially great candy store. The owner is a generous lady who used to run the Queens Galley soup kitchen. (Disclaimer: I used to work here, but havent in years.)
My family and I love this candy store. Its fun and inventive. In the summer we take evening walks into town to get icecream from Kingston Candy Bar and in the winter we get hot chocolates with marshmallow piggies floating on top.
Good selection and we need places like this to keep the traditions going.
Family owned. Delicious desserts made on premises. Friendly staff. What more could you ask for. Oh btw you need to try the Happy Husband. Simply Delectable!
Just arrived on Saturday April 25th. No card No nothing. How is she suppose to know who it’s from.
Yummy homemade treats, offered me a gift box when she found out they were for my girlfriend. Happy to support a local business. Owner is sweet and very friendly.
Im adding a friendly review so that the negative one below isnt on top! This is a fun, friendly, family-run sweets shop on the main drag of a small town. What more could you want?!
I really enjoyed my ice cream there. I love going to Mom and Pop places because they are the real reason why I love to travel and have good and different types of foods.
Im biased, my wife owns this candy store. It is fun; she has a lot of different items and variety. There are vegan, gluten free, and some sugarfree options. Stop on by and have fun!
Amazing staff and delicious ice cream!
An amazing place, run by an amazing, strong woman. Get the widow Maker for sure.
I had a ridiculous experience here. I walked in and asked to try the chocolate ice cream. The young girl behind the counter rattled on about how some issue with the electricity had caused all the ice cream to be too soft to scoop. I asked for a cup of lemon sorbet, which looked fine to me. The girl behind the counter said it was also too soft, that it would make a mess if she tried to scoop it, and that I should come back in half an hour. I said I wouldnt be around in half an hour and suggested she put it in a larger cup (so if it ran, it would be contained). She said three times, The sorbet can go in any cup, seemingly oblivious to the reason I suggested she put it in a larger cup., and, I dont want to get yelled at if it makes a mess. I walked out and bought a smoothie at Dunkin Donuts instead. The temperature outside was 90 degrees, and it was very humid -- Dunkin was crowded, the ice cream shop was empty. Gee, I wonder why? I suspect the young lady was related to the owner because I cant imagine anyone hiring her otherwise. Local businesses: If you want people to choose you over chains, you need to raise your game!
All the candy you could ever want. Small place but there is a large variety of candies. Ice cream and there peanut butter pies are really good.
Went in looking for the advertised vegan chocolates. The girl with the pink hair said she didnt know or not if the chocolate on the shelf was or wasnt vegan. Showed me chocolate in the case and said Im not sure if this is vegan, but it should be. I said I wanted a gift box of chocolate. She began attempting to put together a box, which she couldnt figure out. Then got another box and couldnt put that together either. So I was left with a box that she couldnt operate and chocolate that may or not be vegan to give to a friend. So I walked out giftless.
Cashew nut ice cream. No more to say. Oh wait, chocolate hazelnut. Now Im done
I went in to purchase some candy. In the middle of helping me her cell phone rang. It was a personal call, that wasnt important. I stood there for 2 or 3 min while she catted on about nothingness, then I walked out. How rude! Customers arent important to them.
I cant say enough good things about this place. The selection and options are so numerous and imaginative and humourous they boggle the mind (think unicorn poop merengues as an example). And then the incredibly helpful, positive, and genuinely friendly proprietress (and daughter) just knock it out of the park. Throw in some vintage board games to play while you consume your confection of choice, and Im not sure I can think of a better place to end an evening.
Small place. A wide range of choices to satisfy a candy lovers dream
Janes Ice Cream by the scoop and the pint (and free sprinkles!). Every candy imaginable, bulk style. A dispenser for pixy-stik flavored sugar. A happy, happy place.
I think this gets 5 out of 5 stars because they have really good service employees are also nice really good candy.
Extremely kid friendly. Great selection of candy. Love this place.
When ever I am in the Kingston area I have to stop in and grab some goodies from the Kingston Candy Bar. Diane and family make some amazing fresh treats on the daily. Not to mention the large variety of candy lining the walls of the candy store. Old fashioned candy store where you choose the candy from glass canisters. Scoop it out or with tiny tongs 😉 Our favorites from the shop are the Happy Husband Bars, The moonpies, and the Widow Maker....ohh and i recently tried one of their Dark Chocolate Raspberry truffles. Artful and so very tasteful. Stop in and say hello to Diane and her friendly family. You wont be disappointed with all their homemade treats. Oh and did i mention they make homemade gourmet donuts oh and Ice cream?? Yes....yes they do lol.
Great place. Everything your sweet tooth desires.
They have the tastiest, most creative goodies ever, and everyone is so friendly!
