Super helpful, friendly staff at this well stocked chandlery. Im keen for them to reopen the entire store as presently there is a temporary service desk that blocks access to the rest of the store. They have a great online store too.

This place has every part ive ever needed for the boat. And best part is they sell most of the parts individually so you dont need to buy 50ft rope if you only need 16ft. The layout of the store has changed slightly, its more like a parts counter now which i find to be much more productive, rather then hunt down the part you need by yourself, the staff know exactly where it is.They keep customer files, they look it up by name, also very handy. If yourr looking for a part or piece try this place first! Reasonable prices, if its not in stock they can usually order it in for you.

I visited the store to purchase some varnish for my boats woodwork. When I entered the store the door chimmed and I waited, after 10 minutes I left not seeing a single staff member.I then placed an order online assuming it would make things easier, I got the Your order is ready email and I visited the store. I entered the store and noticed a staff member helping another customer. I was not greeted by the staff at the desk or the 2nd staff member who dropped something off at the desk. After 10 mins of being ignored I left.I emailed the store explained what happened and cancelled my order. I got a simple Im sorry, Ill bring this up to my supervisor, Ive cancelled your order email.Quiet possibly the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. They just dont care.

As a local sailing rental business, I have been using Marine Outfitters for over 20 years. I cannot say enough great things about this business. They have great inventory, knowledgable staff and always able to provide superior service. Kingston sailors and boaters are very fortunate to have such a fine business.

There are not many placesgh to get marine parts and they have a great website. I wish they were closer to the 1000 islands boating but its not too bad. Their prices are a bit higher than Ottawa but a great selection.

One star too generous. Second time in the store, same thing both times and won’t be returning. Sales clerk was extremely rude and could care less if she served us. Nothing was in stock and no attempt made to order or help with inquiries. Basically told us to go online and figure it out ourselves. Save your time and just order online somewhere else!

Ordered two items online. Had to change the shipping address. I emailed them immediately and called the shop 3 times over three days with no answer. 5 days after my order was placed, they still shipped it to the wrong address. Awful experience before my first camp of the 2021 experience. i still havent heard back from their team after emailing again this morning.

I ordered two lifejackets from Marine Outfitters not long before Christmas. My online order was processed very quickly and shipped right away, and I was kept informed of the status the entire time. It was well packaged without creating excessive waste, and the product was exactly as described! Guy at the cash helped us out great! We arent boat people (yet) but he told us everything we needed to help restore/repaint our old canoe. Some colours were out of stock but he offered a quick delivery within days if we wanted them. Will be back again soon!

Ordered some parts beginning of April which I was advised would be 6 weeks. 2 months later with no update and unanswered emails, I call and Dave tells me now they cant get them for another month maybe. I understand things are delayed due to COVID, but Dave sounded like he couldnt care less and and offered no other solution except there is a place somewhere in the states. Now the my boat is going into the water in 2 weeks, and I am missing these key parts for my mast. Terrible service. What is the point of buying local vs Amazon when the service is worse.

Ordered an oil pump to remove the oil from my OMC stern drive. Price of the pump was 1/2 the price that I could find anywhere else online, and arrived in only a couple of days. Pump was high quality, and worked like a charm.

On order placement they were quick to advise of items unavailable and removed from my order. On receipt of order an item was missing. Emailed about missing item and received ZERO response. I had to go elsewhere to buy the most important piece of the set I paid for. Lesson learned.

Customer service needs improvement, as the sales person was quite unwelcoming. I went there for the first time after purchasing a boat, with a number of various questions about parts and adhesives, and was treated by the sales person as if I was a nuisance and was wasting her precious time, and she was visibly quite irritated when I asked to see several products and then didnt buy some them as they did not fit my needs/boat.

I ordered a Raymarine Element 7HV via their online store. Had the best price in Canada. Shipment arrived several days early and had enough time to install it on my boat to use it that weekend. Great customer service with fast and reliable shipping. Thank you! Will definitely buy from them again.

We swear it will be the last time we buy from Marine outfitters. Every time we place an order they forget things, give us the wrong prices or delay service. More hassle than it is worth buying online or go into the store and get ignored. Very poor service from a store I have been shopping at for more than 10 years. Ill take my business elsewhere.

Went out of their way to make sure my questions were answered and my order fulfilled quickly, couldnt beat the service or price - will be returning, sorry I hadnt checked out their extensive website / inventory sooner.

Wide variety and selection of anything water related. Good prices and many parts, ropes, pulleys, life jackets. Etc. Bustling place on a Saturday in June. Some items and sales not clearly marked, but theyll check prices if you ask. We have purchased Gul sailing booties here, fairly priced and sometimes on sale.

The only piece of constructive criticism that I have for Marine Outfitters would be too clearly price their products as it can be a bit of a shock at the till. I have shopped here on several occasions for hardware and items for my sailboat.There is a large selection of items for just about anything you may need for your boat.The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and quite friendly. The owner is often one of the staff serving you as well.A great store but be cautious, you will no doubt leave with more items than you went in to get!! ;)

I surfed around to find a Canadian outfit to replace my edge mount oar sockets and male oar clamps. I decided on, with the help of Samantha, Perko edge mount sockets & SeaDog oar clamps. They arrived in two days. The products vastly exceeded my expectations and by eyeball last forever. I VERY highly recommend based on my one experience & judging by other reviews, others feel the same.

Worst service ever received in a retail outlet. The place is a mess. Was looking for clothing. It was like looking through a bargain bin at the thrift shop. After being there for over half a hour with know one asking if I needed help, I asked a staff for a specific item to be told that she wasn’t sure but there might be one somewhere but it was like a game to find it. When I told her I would leave that to her, she laughed as I was leaving and didn’t seem to care either way. Some people just don’t deserve my hard earned money regardless of what I need.

These people are amazing. In one week I ordered 2 separate items. Both arrived on time and as ordered, one of which arrived in 24hrs. Excellent service and products, highly recommended

Ordered some anodes, and was told one item was on back order and would be a 5 day lead time. Emailed a week later to follow up, no response. Phoned a week after that, was told would they make sure it got looked after - will be shipped in a few days. Still have not received the it, still no follow-up.

Have been dealing with Greg in the parts area on an old Volvo Penta and hes been incredibly helpful in sourcing parts at a reasonable price with speedy delivery. Its been a pleasure dealing with them even though theyre 300+ kilometers from my location, it hasnt been an issue.

Very expensive  Dowsar Marine Supplies quoted me $40 plus $10 shipping for a new rear stay custom built in Hamilton Ontario Canada. the price doesnt seem to reflect the product or service. was quoted $80 for a brand new custom made stay with four cramps two eyes and 40 feet of cable or $40 to cut 4 feet off my existing stay and put on one eye that I supplied and to clamps that they supplied. Thanks for the reply sadly my complaint Remains the Same in one scenario you supplied everything and had to do twice as much work in the other you supplied to clamps and half as much work in both scenarios you had to take the time to build the custom shroud. Its sad that I drove all the way from gananoque way to spend my money local only to order my stuff for a 1/10 the price online. I would also like to point out your store was empty and this was your opportunity to treat a customer well enough to have them be a return customer yes I was looking for the $20 fix had you provided it I would have bought the $200 worth of pulleys. But I felt you were gouging me. Perhaps you should have spent less time on your computer and more time building my custom shroud as I seem to have spent a long time in the store watching you look at a computer to find very simple prices. I truly didnt understand why you even needed to look at the computer this isnt as complicated a job as you make it out to be. Cut a wire and install two clamps yes with a custom clamping machine probably looks like a pair of pliers. I cannot believe it would have taken more than 10 minutes therefore you wanted $240 an hour to use your crimper.

I’m giving these guys 5 stars on account they helped turn a miserable, hair-pulling misadventure into something that inspired me to write this 5 star review.Very simply: On the very day that I forked over a bunch of money for a tug-style power boat, its refrigerator died.The VERY DAY. Then to add insult, a marine fridge technician who came by proceeded to pronounce the fridge OFFICIALLY DEAD, and gave me a throat-choking bill with an evil smile. “Dead,” he said.Then things got worse. I went to the local chandlery and the exact same model as the Officially Dead One was like twice what I thought it would cost (I thought it would be something like 1.5 BOAT Units but I was quoted like, almost 3 BU’s).Then, trumpets please, I discovered Marine Outfitters - in faraway Kingston, ONT. - and it was like having a commercial marine account. OK, not quite, but in addition to not having to pay freight (I was able to pick it up at a local wholesaler) the guy I was dealing with, Greg Hounsell, was able to help expedite things and therefore [ insert drum roll here ] I got the replacement PDQ.Five Stars, Marine Outfitters. I’m telling all my friends about you.[ Note: in another review I will review the marine refrigerator manufacturer, Nova Kool. Do a Google Maps search for it until my review pops up, maybe a few more days. ]

I have purchased a variety of items online and everything has arrived quickly and exactly as requested. They were easy to deal with as well when I had to return an item.

If these guys and gals cant help you find answers in their store...theyll offer suggestions. This is the most helpful group of people we have found since we moved from our Lasalle boatyard to Eastern Ontario.

Great selection of parts and accessories, found a new replacement part for our boat for less than what we would have paid ordering it online. Only difficulty is the lack of price tags - dont know what youd be paying until you bring the item to the front counter.
