Good news! Dunn Lumber now has a GREAT selection of screws, nuts and bolts (at least the Kirkland store). I am making a railing for our RV bunk bed and went there to buy the lumber. I planned to go elsewhere for the hardware. But I was very happy to finish my shopping at Dunn. The folks there are nice and it is only a mile from home. 👍

I needed an unusual piece of wood trim. I searched the racks, but I couldnt find it. Like many men, I panic at the very idea of asking for help. I gathered my courage and approached the woman at the front. She listened patiently to my question before telling me I would have to take a number and wait for a salesperson.I waited my turn wondering if I was wasting my time. If they had to order the unusual piece I needed, there would be waiting and phone calls - Yuk!My number was called within the predicted 5 minutes. I approached the counter and described what I needed.Weve got that, said the salesman. He hopped off his stool and beat a quick march to a specific rack. There it was, just what I needed!

Very knowledgeable, helpful staff. I needed matches for a few random types of fascia and siding and they were perfect, much better selection than home Depot.

This is the worst dunn lumber store I have ever been to. I am a general contractor and usually dont have time to pay attention to customer service or write reviews but my experience with the sales person Mario was something else. I came in for a simple return and he acted like he didnt want to help me right off the bat and acted as if I was wasting his time before I even said a word. He was extremely confrontational, aggressive, and continued to interupt me over and over for no reason at all while I tried to explain what I was returning. We went to my truck to look at what materials I had because apparently he didnt have the patience to listen or didnt believe me idk. He proceeded to remove his mask while we were face to face only to show me his face of how mad he was idk power move very weird...he asks me again if still want to do the return and that his shift is almost over and just wants to go home as if this was all some big joke to me. I just wanted my couple hundred dollars back for the extra materials I had on hand but hey I got this. Horrible customer service from somewhere that charges as much as dunn does or really crazy behavior at any level even if I were a stranger.

Employees are great everybody knows something about building they know exactly where the stuff is in the store quick easy and they have an express check out

Their customer service is top-notch. From answering my questions over the phone about epoxy lumber and educating on chosing the right stain in the store and the help with opening an account. I had a really great experience. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgable team.

Very difficult to have questions answered about material choices. Be prepared to come with all details already figured out. If there is any communication needed beyond the presentation of a list of needed items, you will not find help here.

The management at Dunn Lumber allowed me to pay online and to wait outside for my order. They have figured out how to keep their business going, and ensure the safety of their customers from exposure to Convid-19. Most businesses have employees who are ingenious and creative. Business should be allowed to thrive during this time. To force businesses into Lockdown is unnecessary, and will eventually ruin our economy. For those who think in black and white terms, and insist that the quarantine must continue in order to save lives, and that the economy is not important, much realize that these two forces are not mutually exclusive. There is nothing that will cause more sickness and death than a weak economy. It is unfair to accuse those who care about the economy as being insensitive and unsympathetic towards the sick. A weak economy not only provokes a despairing sense of hopelessness, but also instigates crime and cruelty, along with deceitful and selfish behavior.

I buy all my lumber for my Deck and Fence company from Dunn Lumber because my customer expect the best quality, this Dunn Lumber sells over $150k per year in lumber to my Sub Contractors every week and I have always been happy with the products my employees and sub contractors purchase here. I do not allow my sub contractors to purchase materials from any other store but Dunn Lumber, they are the BEST!

Great place! The best part is I can actually find somebody to help me as they sit right in the middle of the store. Prices are good and employees a knowledgeable about what they sell, or will get somebody who is. A relief compared to a big box store where help is nowhere to be found.They dont carry everything but 95% of the time they have what I need.

Essential supplier of the items the local big-box HW store doesnt carry, including higher-quality, longer and thicker lumber, high-quality metal roofing, trim and fasteners, special hardware, etc. etc. For example, today I was looking for MDO plywood (smooth-faced for forms): in stock.In my experience theyve always been helpful and courteous.Prices are decent.They have tool sales, I found a great deal on a cordless drill & impact driver set there.

Cabinet grade plywood they sell there is a rip off. I bought what I though was hardwood plywood with a walnut veneer and for a steep price. What I got after it was too late was a plywood/MDF hybrid with about 50%f the core material is MDF. So this is what lumber yards are doing now a days? They give you MDF but call it plywood and charge a premium price? This an unethical practice you should really upfront to customers about what is your overpriced crap product. I will also mention the layers are poorly glued and split apart really easy. Stay away from this crap.

I am amazed. a DIY dream. They might do most of business comercial during week. But during weekend they are proud to be homeowners themselves and very helpful. hardly anyone there. Because they dont sell plants, or garden stuff, Just good honest building materials. We thought we could get dimensinal lumber cheap, but Dunns product is better grade, less twisted knotty. they help you pick through for the best (the contractors during the week dont care). they dont charge for cutting to size. they helped us figure our how to save money with better quality materails. Real live professionals that are open to DIY on weekends. although they did laugh at first when I tried to sound like I know what i needed, they cheerfully helped us find out what we really needed. We returned timbers with square corners to home depot for 1$ cheaper. And got nicer quality, with rounded finished corners, for just 1$ more. Well worth the extra buck and cheaper in totoal job cost.
