Words cannot describe how amazing these guys are. I received my familys 1840s Jackson Press in usable condition (sorry, no before images, only after) and decided to have it restored/refinished. C&S gave it a whole new life and made it looks as if it never left the 1840s. They are upfront about their pricing, extremely professional and overall, good, friendly people. They told me of who they were along with their history and process so you feel welcomed and invited into their work space. They even went a step further and told me things about the press I didnt know. Turns out, I was missing a piece and they even made the replacement for me! You cant even tell what was missing unless you were looking for it. It just goes to show that these guys mean business when they say they know furniture. I also had them re-upholster some chairs (before are blue chairs, after are pattern and tan) and again, they did not disappoint. Their quality of work is remarkable and just cant be beat. If you have anything you need repaired, upholstered or refinished, C&S needs to be your only stop. They take the time with your items to make sure they give you everything you ask for. If you go with them, youll get exactly what you pay for: 100% satisfaction.

Did above and beyond in restoring a chair thats been with me through thick and thin. Helpful staff, gave good and honest feedback about my choices when I was contemplating fabrics. When I saw the chair I was floored - they did an amazing job. This was my first time restoring something and C&S made me feel comfortable and educated, not rushed or pressured.As you can see below, the back of the seat had come undone from the frame, and there were the scratches of multiple cross country moves. The owner promised to do what they could with the frame, and he and his team worked MAGIC. The walnut shines, you can see the grain, its smooth and lustrous. The ecofriendly high durability velveteen was chosen with thoughts of sitting in the chair in shorts, and its soft and nicely highlights darker tones in the wood- this is where the owners advice really helped in choosing a fabric, since he could tell the potential underneath. 5/5 would restore again.

I have a beautiful 1930s deco sofa and chair set, an arm chair and a strait chair that belonged to my grandmother. All were in bad shape and had never been re upholstered before. They were broken down and wore out. I couldnt bare to get rid of them. C&S Refinishing and Upholstery made them show room new again! I was almost in tears on how gorgeous they looked when I got them back! This company is extremely professional, reliable and they stand behind their work. Here is why I think C & S Refinishing & Upholstery is a DISHONEST MERCHANT. I needed some minor touch up and refinishing of a bookcase headboard so I contact C & S. They picked it up and I went to their premises to show them what I wanted done and was assured they would send me a quote. Unfortunately, they did not say WHEN theyd send the quote. After a month of text messaging them and sending detailed picture of what I wanted done I finally received a quote via text message and okd the work to be done. 2 months past with no communication from them. After repeated phone call to them, I was told the work was being done. They scheduled redelivering my headboard then did not show up or call to let me know they werent coming. That happened 2 times and finally delivered my headboard after I informed them I would just come pick it up without the work being done. THEN, they presented a bill that was 20% MORE than the quote (original quote was $375, invoice when delivered was $450). I refused to pay the increase and showed them the quote (not an estimate) in the text message. They explained the increase by saying that the work was more complicated that they thought it would be. I told them that I had never been contacted about the additional cost and had not authorized it. They seemed practiced at how to overcome my objections to their inflated price. After 20 minutes of back and forth, they finally agreed to the accept payment of the quoted price when I explained that I would pay the inflated price but would immediately file a complaint with the better business bureau. I did not file a complaint, but I hope this review will give other potential customers fair warning about using this merchant.

We were waited on by a very nice young man named Christopher who was very helpful in finding me some books to look through. We will definitely be back when we have made our decision on the material we want. Also they have a very large selection of books to find what you would like.

C&S did a great job for me! My couch cushions all had feathers in them which were coming out all the time. They replaced with new foam/filling and they turned out great. Quick turnaround. Would use again!

C&S refinishing & upholstery are the utmost professionals with everything they do. I bought two mid-mod chairs that were pretty rough looking. I took the chairs to C&S and they helped us with every phase of their recovery. From the stain and finish, to picking out fabrics, and the foam, they offered their experience and guidance yet allowed me to have total control. It’s a family business and you get that kind of personal service only a family business can give. They obviously take great pride in their work - passed on generation to generation. I cannot tell you enough how happy I was to have chosen them. I will always use C&S only, and they come highly recommended by my family.

Mayo Garden shop recommended C & S for re-upholstery for our porch furniture cushions. It was not a good experience. It took 91 days for them to complete the job. I had to give them a deadline that I was returning to the store for my deposit back and my cushions. If you decide to use C&S get a deadline in writing and don’t fall for their deposit line. Get the full price in writing. Plan on waiting and waiting and waiting.

My great grandmother passed down to me a worn down roll top desk. When I brought it to C&S I thought there was no hope for it but when the guys delivered it I couldn’t believe the transformation . Although the price was high, they made up for it in their craftsmanship and attention to details. I’m so happy that it can now be passed down to future generations to come.

I took in my grandmothers rocker and I supplied the material. The job they did on refinishing the gooseneck arms, replacing the springs and re-upholstering the chair was amazing! The attention to detail down to keeping the striped pattern on the buttons was perfect. They are not speedy which was fine for me. When I gave them a date they met deadline easily. The price was very reasonable and to the penny on the quote. I am taking in a friends 100+ year old table this week.

My husband and I have used C&S refinishing for two different projects and have been beyond impressed. We recently moved to the Knoxville area, and unfortunately during our move and antique piece of our furniture fell from the truck. We truly thought it was a goner it was so damaged. However, this company repaired it so fantastically that you wouldn’t even know where the original damage occurred! We also utilized their services on 6 original doors from our 1932 home. They had so many layers of paint on them and looked terrible, but again C&S restored and refinished them and we have these original doors back to their original beauty. Everyone who comes to our home comments on how awesome they have turned out. Highly recommend this company!

Took in a small china cabinet, was told $800-$1000. Called to pick up was told it was ready and price was $1650! Of course was upset, they were rude but finally said I could pick up for $1095. Work was mediocre at best. We had the piece painted white, there was overspray on two of the handles. There was wood behind the glass, they removed to paint but put it back on the outside. The base that they fixed has a place that they cut too far up that looks bad. When I went to pick up, one of the employees was smoking a cigarette around the furniture. I most definitely will not be back.
