Great Collection | Helpful Staff | Great ServiceVisited this store to shop for perfumes. They have a splendid collection of both men’s and women’s perfumes. Their staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. There’s another Sephora located in JC Penney inside the West Town Mall, but it’s collection is rather limited.

Hands down the BEST experience I have ever had in a Sephora. The girls were super sweet and extremely helpful in showing me every option they had for what I was looking for. So patient and friendly. I drove 72 miles to this store and they made it completely worth the drive. Will definitely be coming back!!

Let me start with I hate makeup shopping. I went in her specifically looking for It cosmetics, the associate that helped me was not only friendly but color matched me and gave me honest recommendations based on what I told her. I ended up spending way more then I had anticipated. But am very happy with my selection. Thank you to the team for helping me and not making me feel like a fool for not knowing about makeup !

Nice store, clean, well stocked. But the guy at the front door was rude and had an attitude as soon as we walked up. The worker that the desk that refunded me was rude as well didnt say 2 words to me. I was going to buy other product but decided not to with how rude the staff was! Wish it wasnt that way I was looking forward to shopping in there!

Today my beauty advisor at Sephora beauty studio was Steph; she went out of her way to help me set up my digital beauty guide.Even though she was very busy helping other customers, she made sure I had all my favorite perfume choices from Sephora.I love shopping at Sephora at West Town shopping mall each week for new women’s perfume.My two sons’ love the huge selection of men’s cologne that they have at Sephora.Sephora has great deal online, if you are already signup with their rewards program.Every year Sephora sends me a coupon for a free gift on my birthday.

This is the best sephora I’ve ever gone to! every person I’ve ever interacted with has been beyond kind and helpful. I love coming to this location. I was shade matched WITH a mask recently, and I don’t know how they did it, but they got my perfect color. I don’t remember his name, but he had silver/white hair. a different time, kylee helped my husband get a shade for me, same kindness and professionalism. whoever is hiring at this location is doing a wonderful job!!

This was the worst guest experience I have every had. I have a very difficult time color matching my foundation due to my skin color. No one was willing to help me, they did however take time to yell at me for picking up one of their foundation testers. When I asked for assistance for a full coverage foundation, they told me they didn’t have that and walked away. I purchased what I came in for because I didn’t want to make another trip, but I will never shop Sephora again. I will buy directly from the brands or Ulta Beauty. I had always heard that Sephora staff was rude, but had never experienced it first hand myself. Very disappointed with a luxury brand that once was proud of their guest service.

I called this location looking for NARS concealer and the manager said they were out. Decided to take a drive to the store and wouldnt you know, they had it. The manager is very condescending. For example, she didnt greet me at the door like a normal person with good customer service skills would do. Instead, she keeps the door closed so she can tell me how to wear my mask inside. The girl that helped me was very sweet but the girl at the cash register was not. These girls seem very uptight here. The manager needs to relax and take some customer service training. Also, you should have a variety of cultures working that are familiar with ALL skin tones.2 stars because I do love Sephora.

I like it. But I need customer support sometimes in Sephora and most of the time its unavailable. Please dont get me wrong most of the time they are assisting someone else or ring up someone but I do have questions that I seem to never get answered. So most of the time I will Google my question while there and not get the product and bounce out. 🥴

Love this store. There is a great selection of luxury cosmetics brands, that you wont find anywhere else. The same is true of skin care. You have to wait to get help with a product, because it is always busy. But you will be helped. Remember through, these are lux brands and you will pay accordingly.

I went into this Sephora today Sep 27 2020 and I was so happy when I walked out. With everything going on with the Rona I tried to order foundation offline but it pwas like orange face paint so I had to go into the store to be skin matched again and I am so happy a very smart beautiful and kind woman with the most AMAZING red eyeliner design (kicking myself for forgetting her name but ill update this when I find out what it is) came right up to help me and she made sure to pick the perfect shade even though swatching is no longer allowed in the store and it took a good while but not once did she make me feel like it was rushed then tried to help me with the other foundation but no light shades in stock. She was so helpful and she knew what she was doing so I can say today was the best sephora experience Ive had. Plus 2 other ladies made sure I was OK in the 1 minute I waited for help and the cashier (who had the cutest face mask) was so kind and super helpful as well as the manager who had a neon pink winged eyeliner that was super badass. I saw all these reviews of being treated like a shoplifter and I never experienced that but I u derstand why. Then a huge chunk of the negative reviews are people saying either nobody helped them (probably because you need to go ask for help if they are super busy they arent mind readers) or too many people tried to help them (yea so you dont post a review saying nobody helped you) and after today seeing how helpful yet busy they were i honestly believe they deserve 5 🌟 stars Thank you ladies so much for your help today!!!

I just wanted to go in and shop and pick out what I need on my own but no that can’t happen here I had the same employee ask if I needed anything over and over and other ones were asking as well when she wasn’t around. It’s just annoying I don’t like to be pestered when I’m trying to look. And most of the employees makeup is ridiculously stupid looking I wouldn’t trust them to ever help me do mine.

I think this Sephora is really nice. The store is clean and organized, and if you are nice to the employees it is expected that you will have a good experience. I usually don’t leave reviews but I think this one is needed because a lot of people say they have a bad experience, but again be nice and polite and you will get that in return. I go in there a few times a year to get my everyday foundation, eyeshadow, and so on. I love going in every time because I respect the associates and they do the same. If you go in with a bad attitude, just like with all stores, the employees will have a harder time helping you and a more difficult time maintaining a positive attitude. Be respectful and you will get it in return

I heard Stacy (the manager) yell at an employee while that employee was trying to provide customer service to another customer in the store. I find that VERY, VERY unprofessional and disrespectful towards the employee AND the remaining customers in the store. If she doesn’t care enough to have respect for the employees; I know she doesn’t have any respect for customers; and I will not be back.

I went in to see if I could get a makeover done for a work event and before I could even tell the woman that I needed it for a Sunday she cuts me off saying they are completely booked until the end of May. I understand that it’s prom and wedding season so things can be hectic but even on a Sunday??? Also if she would have just let me finish my sentence I would have been happy but I guess she felt the need to cut me off so I wouldn’t be wasting anytime. I use to love this Sephora but the past few months have been pretty disappointing due to the rude employees.

I’m not really pleased with my experience today. I went in when the store opened to exchange some products that I didn’t like. When I walked in an associate (tall with blond hair, no name tag in sight) immediately came over and asked what I needed. I told her that I wanted to make an exchange. She gave me a snotty sigh and said “What for?” I told her that I wasn’t sure what I wanted to exchange it for and that I didn’t like what I had purchased (it was $80 worth of make up). Her attitude changed then and she was a lot more pleasant. I didn’t think anything else about it because hey everyone has a bad day. Anyhow, I start looking around with no idea what I want. After walking around a while I started to notice that the same woman was literally everywhere I was. She proceeded to follow me around the store “pretending” to be doing stuff but clearly watching me the whole time! This is really annoying and unacceptable behavior. I get that there are shoplifters and that loss is a big thing but profiling isn’t okay. As someone who spends a lot of money there, I am annoyed. This is the first time that I have ever encouraged this at a Sephora store. Normally the employees are awesome but this woman was a complete psycho.

Always have had a great experience in this store. The staff is very knowledgeable and whenever I need help finding anything for my wife they are there to help! I look at some of these reviews and find it impossible to believe these individuals had these types of experiences. My go to’s are a short African American lady and a taller lady with dark hair. Sometimes the customer makes the experience worse for themselves because they have a lack of respect for the employees, so maybe some people should look at themselves in the mirror and see if they are the problem. I have been inside the Sephora-JCPenney two or three times. Every single time I left out without anything in my hand..and every time I ask myself why I don’t go to the actually Sephora store. I went in to re-up on Fenty this week and only one person was working. There were only two customers in the store, including myself. The worker was uninterested in us and not welcoming. I definitely don’t recommend this store if you have actually questions about your makeup purchase.

I walked into this store looking like a hot mess who couldnt afford much. However, it sucks to be girls who didnt even look in my direction. Danielle from the hair department immediately saw I wasnt sure of what I needed and ended up diagnosing a full spectrum of skin problems and prescribing liquid magic. Her and two other young women helped me find what I needed and made recommendations based on exactly what they knew would work. Id been in the store before and employees had brushed me off or even ignored me. This time, however, I was given personalized service with genuine kindness. They should give those three girls a raise.

Wow it’s so sad that I am writing this review about a store I use to love so much. This location has been letting me down steadily the last few months but this was sort of the last straw tonight. A cashier named Jordan was so rude and downright condescending I can’t imagine she enjoys her job. After reading these reviews my heart goes out for the people who shop in this store and get treated with no respect or common courtesy. I also feel bad because I’m sure it’s not everyone working there and I’m sure there are people that really go above and beyond, but that has not been my experience. I’m not sure if the manager even reads these review because there are no responses. My only hope is that someone will care and try to change the store around.

I had a really bad experience today at the Sephora at West Town mall. I entered the store and went straight over to the display for Sol de Janeiro, because I needed to pick up a container of the coco cabana cream. I was picking through the stack, finding a good one, when the manager came over and asked if I needed help. I told her I was good, and proceeded to pick out my box. Then, while I was inspecting it (to make sure it hadn’t been opened), an employee came up. She was thin, and had long brown hair with blunt cut bangs. She first offered me the tester, then very rudely requested that I not open the box. I told her that I was buying the product and I needed to make sure the seal on the product was intact (because we all know employees are not always around to keep people from opening the boxes and using the products). She then moved toward me and kind of held her hand out, and told me that if I wanted to do that I’d have to do it at the register. Excuse me? I literally didn’t care if she stood there and watched me check for the seal, but she insisted. She must have thought I was trying to steal since I refused help and was looking busted in my workout attire. If I hadn’t have needed the lotion today, I would’ve left the store. However, I went up to the register, continued to open my box and check it, and then bought it. On my way out, I stopped the manager to tell her that her store had lost my business, and she didn’t seem to care that her employee valued the product more than her customer’s experience. I won’t be back.

Went in to get new products for my skin. Every single time I said this worked for me previously I was directed to something else that was more money. I was told “I need to change my products regularly.” All while I could tell this person just went and smoked a cigarette given his breathe in my face. Sephora, step your hiring game up. Really unhappy with my experience. I walked in and went over to the Laura mercier section and was thinking about getting the setting powder. I began to pick it up and Immediately a short heavier black female employee with froed black hair ( Did not see her name ) came up to me and asked what I needed and promptly offered me a basket for the powder. I politely declined because I don’t like carrying around the baskets when I just have one item. I then proceeded to browse around the store with my boyfriend while the woman who originally offered me the basket blatantly followed me to every area I went to. She did not even pretend to hide it she very clearly was following my every move. Even at one point she came up to me and asked if I decided not to get the powder because she didn’t see it in my hand and I proceeded to show her I was still holding it in my other hand. At another point she told someone to go run the security tape back. After about 5 more minutes of her following me I went and returned the powder and left the store.

I really wish I could give this zero stars. The people working there are horrible! I have been there several times and always the same experience. I usually buy the same eyeshadow and mascara whenever Im there but the last time I was in, they no longer carried the eyeshadow I buy so I decided to look for a different kind, while in there I felt like I was being harassed. I was followed around the store by the same two people, invading my personal space to ask me multiple times if I was okay, after telling them over and over I was fine and would like to look for myself. One woman actually tapped me on the shoulder while I was testing an eyeshadow (which made me mess up all together because it scared me) to ask me for the fifth time in ten minutes if I needed help so I told her if I needed any help I would let her know. She then walked to another woman and literately within two minutes SHE was blocking me from walking through the isle to ask me if I was going to buy anything today or if I was just there to give myself a free makeover.... Seriously???? I only tried on two colors of eyeshadow to see which one I liked better. After that experience I will never return. I will go to ulta instead where the staff is actually friendly and not stalkerish.

He helped me pick out the best OleHenriksen moisturizer to compliment my skin type and meet my needs and is super knowledgeable about all of the products. I have worked in cosmetics management for five years and never have I been as disappointed with a store as this Sephora. I have been forced to deal with their negative and unhelpful staff almost every time I go in. The return policy is also terrible. I received a gift for Christmas but it was broken when I received it. I went into the store and asked to simply replace the product that I received broken for the same product. My request annoyed the cashier and the manager barely stopped as she rushed by and said she can’t help me get a product that is not damaged and she CAN’T do the exchange. But it was EASILY DONE at the Sephora JCP at the other end of the same mall. Basically the employees of this store are jerks and ALL my purchases will be done at Sephora JCP or online from now on. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

I have been to the Knoxville Sephora location several times and it has never been clean. Makeup is always on the floor and the presentation of products is sloppy. I have also had my makeup done by one of their artists and firmly believe that a three year old could have done a better job. Furthermore, THE STAFF IS SO RUDE. Every time I have been there one of their staff has said something rude to me. I was standing in the checkout with a friend when a staffmember said, I need to use this area so you really need to move. That is just one example. I have been in the Knoxville Sephora three other times and their staff members ALWAYS have something rude to say. I refuse to spend my money at a store that is trashy and has a notoriously rude staff.

I went to the store in west town to purchase quite a few items, I needed a new foundation and palette the most, and knew what I wanted after researching on the internet. Got there, and this is spring break so there is like a million little teeny boppers everywhere, get in the store, was greeted by a staff. I proceeded to ask where the items I was looking for, and directed me over to the section. After that, I never got helped, the lighting in the store is not up to par to make sure that the makeup you choose is for the right skin tone. I have a caramel complexion and sometimes it is not easy to find the right shade. As I was checking the foundations out, no one came by to see if I needed help, I had to have my teenage son help me to see if it matched my skin tone. I got what I needed in the end, but I find some of their light complexion staff to be considerably rude in the fact that after I said hello to one of them, she did not even acknowledge me or said something courteous if she was busy after passing within inches of my face. Only to go help someone that just walked up after I was waiting for her to finish one person she was talking to. Very unprofessional and ignorant in my opinion. I was prepared to spend quite a lot of money, however I just took the necessities and left. I do not think I will go back to this store as my usual store is ULTA and I have always had a pleasant and helpful experience. Sephora in the mall has their employees with their nose in the air to only assist white people that look like them. I will say that I had a gentlemen help my son with fragrance and he was by far the best employee in there. However I do not think I will go back to this store.

They have an amazing selection of makeup in their store and mostly everything stays in stock. However, the environment is INCREDIBLY NEGATIVE and youre followed around the store and hovered around from the second you walk in until you leave. My friends and I have recieved looks as if were going to steal from them and continuously ask us if were having trouble every five minutes. The associates can be very unkind and half of them never know what youre asking about unless you go into the store for a single purpose. I go into Sephora to swatch makeup and find my right tone and leave so I dont have to deal with the associates any longer than necessary. Ill stick to online and Ulta.

Just left the Knox store in tears. I’ve had dozens of poor experiences in the Knox store, and I always just keep my head down and find a corner and try to google the answers I need about products, ect. It’s really sad, actually. Today I spent almost 45 mins standing in the same spot holding a product, as well as many other high dollar products and while many employees walked by me and assisted other customers I couldn’t get anyone to even make eye contact with me. After about half an hour of watching me be ignored my Fiancé went to find help on his own. The employee told me that if I’d like to get a facial I’d have to wait, that there was only one employee who could help me and that she was on break. She never offered to help me with the eye cream I had questions about, and when I tried to ask about a sample she put her hand on her ear piece and told me to wait for the other employee. So I stood in the same place, holding the same eye cream for about another 15 mins. Then an employee that I had been watching on the floor for about half an hour walked over a customer and proceeds to give her a facial. I am normally not emotional, but I just started tearing up. I asked my fiancé to put back the other products and I snuck out as to not make a scene. While we were walking away an employee followed us to apologize and offer me a free makeover. I explained to her my experience, however I assume she had some idea. As I had seen her quite a bit while I was in the store. She did not ignore me, but was always tied up with other customers / register. The makeover was a nice guesture I suppose, but not while I was ugly crying on the way to my car. I wish this was an isolated incidence, but it’s every time I visit this store. I admit that I wear very little make up, I usually shop for skin care. I don’t expect special treatment because I spend a lot there, I just wish that someone...anyone would just speak to me when I shop there. Feeling invisible or lesser than other women is a very toxic and sad feeling. Shopping for makeup / skin care should be an uplifting and joyful experience. This store has failed in that venture.

Recently Too Faced came out with their Sweet Peach eyeshadow palette, and it sold out incredibly quickly everywhere, it was impossible to get a hold of. I went last week, and the people working were really helpful despite them being sold out, told me when there may be another shipment coming if it restocked, and showed me their display of the palette so I could see it in person. Fast forward to this morning (the day of the shipment at all Sephoras and ULTAs) Im still looking for the palette. I waited outside the Turkey Creek ULTA to get one, but they didnt receive any. I called this Sephora after remembering what they told me last week, and surely enough, they told me there was one left and they were glad to hold it for me since I was already on my way over. When I got there ten minutes later, all the people working were so nice to me and rang me up and congratulated me and told me how lucky I was to be getting most likely the last one in Knoxville that was and will be! Everyone was so nice and so helpful and I am so glad they were all there for me! I felt really great about everything, and it honestly made my day. Ive not had a bad experience at this Sephora EVER.

I tragically dropped my fenty 150 and it completely shattered... needed new foundation.Walked in to sephora and was politely greeted by staff. I needed a different more moisturizing foundation then the fenty. My color has always been difficult to match. A girl got to working with me... did not do color IQ, chose 1 foundation(2 different colors) and did a full concealer/foundation makeover. Once she finished, I looked in the mirror and the foundation oxidized the completely wrong color(looked like I had white wet baby powder all over my face). I mentioned it was way too light. She said she was going to get another makeup artist to help but instead comes back and tells me she can’t match another foundation. She instead hands me samples of random foundations and says she cannot help me anymore and “I’m sorry you didn’t like that foundation.” She walks away. I leave the store W/O makeup... which I really needed.I then proceed to go to Sephora in J C Penny’s.... told them what happened. I was extremely upset. They found me my perfect match, were extremely helpful, and I bought products I am extremely happy with.I will no longer be giving business to the stand alone Sephora at west town mall. I will only go to sephora in JCP

Unfortunately this will be my last experience shopping at the West Town Mall location. The employee seem annoyed to be there and just outright rude. It makes no sense to me why this type of behavior is accepted. I was coming in to buy from the store and was treated so badly.

The manager wouldnt leave my boyfriend and I alone because she assumed we were stealing. I told her I put my stuff back and that I was looking for stuff for my sister. She immediately called someone over to find a shade for my sister who wasnt even with us??? Very rude and confusing.
