I’ve been meaning to write this review for awhile. These folks are really great. I purchased a 2 spout kegerator from them and we are really enjoying it. Wayne was super nice and helpful and answered all my questions. This was my first one. He talked me through the entire setup. It works great and is really easy to maintain.

Knoxville is so fortunate to have a local homebrew store that is this good.

July 24th 2020- About 8 or 9 people in this small space and at least 5 not wearing masks at all. We waited in line with over $100 worth of home brew equipment behind the person in front of us who was not wearing a mask. One of the owners, the wife was not wearing hers over her nose and speaking with two customers that were not wearing masks. The husband was wearing his behind the counter. No mask enforcement at all even though at the door was a posting about wearing one. I guess the owners care more about sales than the health and safety of their customers. Ill order online somewhere else instead of shopping local here. Their loss and I urge you not to shop here until the law is enforced on their end. Ive been coming here for years but not anymore. Shame on them.

Phenomenal staff. Willing to mill relative large amounts of base grain for me (I like to brew all grain in a bag, and havent dropped the cash on a mill yet.) Gave me a free plastic growler cap to try after I was unprovokedly griping about how the metal ones always rust after *only* a few years of use. I can do co2 exchanges here too (5 lbs tanks) for not much more than a proper gas supply place would charge, and waaaay more conveniently. Good prices for a brick n mortar; well worth the extra buck here and there to support this awesome business.

Ive been coming here for years, always an enjoyable experience every time I open the door. The staff is knowledgeable and always have the freshest ingredients. Orders are always correct and on time when I call them in. I guess the biggest thing is after a few phone calls they knew me by my first name. Thats hard to find with any kind of buisness out there. Great place. They have everything you need for brewing beer. You can give them your recipe and theyll crush the grains for you. Good hop selection, fresh yeasts and equipment and supplies. If they dont have it I bet they can get it for you.My only suggestion would be to keep the hops in the freezer instead of refrigerator if possible.

Stopped in to pick up wine chemicals while in town. Very helpful and friendly staff that answered all my questions and then some. They had everything I was looking for and gave great advice.

I was the only customer in the store at the time, but the guy was very friendly and offered lots of good advice for a first time wine maker. He didnt try to sell me on things I didnt need either. Prices seemed fair and they had a good selection.

Most helpful people Ive dealt with in the field. Abundant stock and everything you could need. If they dont have it there, they can get it, and also will ship to home for postage cost if you dont live close. Very nice establishment.

Very impressive selection.Even though we came in near closing time they were not trying to rush us, or ignore us. Answered every question and at the same time, gave us room to wander through their great store. Best variety of brew supplies Ive seen after visiting 6 stores in 3 states.

Grest place to stop in and fill your brewing needs. They have everything that you need for the beginner getting started or the more experienced brewer. It is family run and everyone in the family i have dealt with was extremely knowledgeable. On my last trip i picked up some root beer extract for the kids and all the ingredients (grains, hops and yeast) to make a fine brown ale. They do have kits if you use them or like myself all the supplies and accessories to brew all grain.

Went there today for first time. A great place very nice and knowledgeable staff. Will go back and buy all supplies from them. Recommend to anyone from beginner to expert.

Im new to the distillery and brewing world, the information and help ive gotten from the staff here has been invaluable. Ive visited at least 7 tines since purchasing my home equipment, a couple of those times just to ask questions. Rich has taken the time to thoroughly answer any question that Ive had and even went as far as to gather additional info on a particular question for me. Its a family owned business and its easy to see how theyve been successful...the passion for what they do and stellar customer service.

Very friendly and helpful! They have everything you need for home brewing or wine making. I buy their extract kits all the time. Their prices are as good or better than online. They always have a supply of cheap used soda kegs for sale. Great store. Go see them!

Im aggravated and disappointed. Firstly: Ive been a regular customer since I moved to the Alcoa area five years ago. Ive purchased most of my needs for brewing and meading here since then, and for those five years have been very pleased with the experience.Today I came in to buy a Cornelius keg, tap, CO2 bottle, and all the fittings/clamps/hoses/regulators, etc to start kegging my beer. I also needed a selection of chemicals/yeast/spare oddments for meading. Ive never kegged before, so I had a lot of questions. Not wanting to buy hardware that I subsequently wouldnt want or need, I spent a good bit of time looking around and taking notes about the total price of the things I needed vs the things I wanted. Shortly before I was ready to start piling a couple of hundred bucks worth of gear up at the counter, I was accosted rudely and asked why I didnt just get my items already. I have always known I can buy all these things online for much cheaper. The reason I shop here is because I want a place I can ask questions and poke around. Past experience had given me the misapprehension my curiosity was welcome as long as I was buying stuff.Being give the verbal equivalent of a bums rush like I was some malingerer instead of a customer who has spent money at this store regularly for years made it clear that I and my business were not especially welcome, or only welcome on the poor-customer-service-terms I can get much cheaper elsewhere.*nods* So noted. I still want a local shop...but one where I am not made to feel like I am interrupting things for the privilege of buying from you.*nods again*And the fact that no attempt was made to reach out, apologize, or even just acknowledge my response here since makes it clear that my experience was not a fluke. The experience at another local shop was very different; questions and a protracted exploration of options were encouraged, even though I was a new customer whose regular purchases were not assured.A pity. I hate changing shopping habits once I find a place I’m comfortable with.

Ferment Station is a great place to go for all of your beer or wine making needs. Staff is helpful and friendly, dont be afraid to ask questions. They have a huge amount of homebrew and wine making and other equipment plus they have grains they will mill for you on site.

Dont go here. I spent 300 dollars on a still, when I got it home I did everything I was supposed to do and it didnt work, so when I called the owner told me I couldnt return it cause I used it and she would have someone call me back! Who would call me besides her? And clearly I had to use it to figure out it didnt work now Im stuck with a 300 dollar item that dont work! I dont see how you can be successful and sleep at night knowing you did someone wrong!
