I love this place! I have a 1200 Custom Sportster and they changed out my handlebars and all the cables. They also got rid of the big riser and put a new speedo top bracket on. I absolutely love it! i will definitely be going back to them for all my bike mods and stuff. And might i add that it was waaaay more affordable than the dealership...Excellent work fellers!!

I was heading to Nashville from Philadelphia with a trailered bike (bars bent due to improper tie down by Philly shop). Called every bike shop between Ashville and Nashville - nada. Spoke with Rhonda and rolled the rolled the dice and stopped by Cycle Stop. Chris, the service mechanic, muscled my bent bars back to spec with amazing brute force. I was back on the road in 30 minutes! What great service, hospitality, and professionalism. As a plus, its family owned and operated.

Took my bike here to have mini ape hangers, chrome clutch and front brake levers,as well as an oil change. I was really amazed walking in to pickup my bike, the mechanics really know what the hell they are doing here, and strongly encourage anyone that needs work to there bike to bring it here. You will be more than satisfied with a very reasonable price. Cycle Stop will be the only place I take my bike to for now on.Tim the owner was super cool and was very easy to work with,as to finding exactly what I wanted.Awesome place Also if you need any apparel..they got it!

I will start by saying they put some new tires on for me and I noticed they were leaking down. I called them and took it back so he told me they would fix the issue. When I took my bike back I thought I would go ahead and have them service my bike, that was a mistake!! When I got my bike back they charged me $265 for a full service, that included going over everything including lubing and adjusting all cables. I had explained to him that my bike had been built and had a lot of horsepower and be careful of what kind of oil they used due to mine having a wet clutch. So the first time I take my bike out and I get about 5 miles from my house and my clutch was slipping, my clutch was brand new. So I start looking and my cable just to see if they might have adjusted it wrong, boy was I wrong. My cable was almost broke into and I was told they went over all my cables. After calling them and asking about the oil and the cable he wanted me to bring it back LOL. I’m not that stupid, I’ll just pay someone who knows what their doing to fix it the right way.I’m not a mechanic by no means but I changed my oil, with the proper oil and put a new clutch cable on it and it runs puffery again.I’m my opinion I wouldn’t take my bicycle to cycle stop.So you don’t have to worry about me ever coming there again but please explain to everyone how my clutch cable was holding on by 2 threads of wire if you checked them, like you stated again in your response and if you would have done a little research on your oil you would see it can’t be used in Indians and victory motorcycle.

Tim Miles and his staff at Cycle Stop did an excellent job servicing, replacing tires, brake work, and most importantly DYNO TUNING my modified 2009 Road Glide. I purchased the Dynojet Power Commander V, and my bike has never ran as good as it does now! I live in Chattanooga and feel the couple of trips I made, dropping off and picking up the bike was worth the drive. I want to give Greg, the technician that did the Dyno Tune a special thanks! Keep up the good work guys!

Honestly the best labor rate on any motorcycle repair, and tire replacement you can find. They stay a little backed up mainly because theyre good at what they do. My husband had his bike serviced at Harley Davidson Clinton hwy and was told it had multiple issues wrong with it that would cost over $700.00 to fix. He took it to Cycle Stop for a second opinion. The guys there went over his entire bike and told him everything was great and it did not need anything. They took their time to do all this and didnt charge a dime due to the fact there was nothing wrong with it. Thank you guys so much for your true honesty. I will always use Cycle Stop for my service work and encourage everyone to do the same. Thank you.

Tim Miles and the crew at Cycle Stop were all excellent. I wish everyone I do business with was like them.I had driven over 700 miles to drive the Tail of the Dragon. When I got to Pigeon Forge, Tn. and unloaded my bike, I started having trouble with it. Among other things, the ignition module failed completely and shut me down. I found Cycle Stop online and drove to Knoxville in the hopes that they could help me out.Their efforts salvaged my trip. They were able to have a Crane HI4 shipped in, installed, mounted two new tires and ran it on the dyno to verify it was running right. I had it loaded up at 2:00 the next afternoon ready to ride. The rest of the trip was a blast. Thanks to Tim and the entire crew at Cycle Stop.

Gods Honest Truth with No embellishment: These clowns were recommended by a co-worker so I went to have a Rectifier replaced. ok, then I decided to have them do a tune-up, I was quoted, return and my bill is higher than the quote; without authorization, consent or notification, he put front brakes on saying it needed it, ok. I go to start the bike the other day and the batteries toast so I go to remove the Phillips Terminal Screws, theyre like in cement, so I grab my socket and wrench, Unbelievably theyre so Torked that the Terminals Bend ruining the Battery in the process! I call, he laughs saying Im the 1st to ever report over-tightened terminal screws but bring the battery in and hell give me one. I show up Battery in hand and Tim proceeds to tell me this is a cheap battery, the terminals are weak, they never over-tighten terminal bolts while Im explaining Ive removed this battery and others without Ever running into this, then he proposes bending the mangled terminals back into shape and I say, calmly, no, the batterys ruined to which he tells me: Im not giving you a new battery, then he takes the battery and violently slams it down on the counter right in front of me and screams: Get the F out of my Shop you Fn A-hole!! Oh and I bet youre going to write a bad review! I replied, again calmly, oh its going to be a beautiful review to which he screams: yeah! and tell em we over-tightened your terminal bolts you Fn A-hole! Read the other reviews. This guy Tim is Psychotic and should be avoided at all costs. Ill post the work orders soon proving the work was done 2-3 months ago in 2019. There is no excuse for screaming and profanity. I was not antagonistic, demanded nothing, was calm, did not respond with profanity and only responding to his request that I write a review.

Cycle Stop has been the best experience i have had with a Motorcycle shop. I personally own a 2002 GSX-R 1000 and owned a 2001 GSX-R 750 before. I have taken both to them for work from stator cover to issues that i could not figure out. They have always been extremely fair in price and always have gotten the work done fast for me since my bike is my daily driver. I could not recommend any other shop to go to in the Knoxville area. Check them out because i will continue to take all my bikes to them for my bike needs for as long as i ride two wheels.

I wish I could give a higher than excellent rating of these guys.I wont go into huge details because im not sure what they would or wouldnt want me saying but long story short I had a POS project bike I was hoping to salvage some of it just to get a cheap way to get back on the road. I had them do as much as they could for the bike, he even told me upfront there was not much hope, and end the end he was right. When I went to pick up the bike he told me he was going to only charge me parts. Mind you this bike was NOT worth fixing, he told me his honest thoughts and let me take the bike, and wouldnt accept much more money even though I insisted.I seen the work in the shop these gentleman do and its NOTHING short of EXCELLENT quality. If you are looking for a group of guys who do amazing custom work please dont think twice about using this place. When I get my GOOD bike the will be the the place I go for the tune up!!

Ive had service work done by Cycle Stop on and off for several years. Admittedly Ive never had them build me a custom bike or anything on a grand scale. But carb work, electrical, tires etc.Ive always felt like theyve charged me a fair price and did the job in the timeframe I was given. I was a customer when they were in that little shop on Kingston Pike etc. Yeah I remember when you guys started and you were still hungry. I even have one of the original Cyclestop T-shirtsHowever Ill be honest Ive never felt welcome in the business, more like I was bothering them, they were doing me a favor. Im easy to get along with and the bikes I own are nice bikes, no garbage Im asking them to work on.I believe Tim Miles must be bi-polar. You stop in one time and hes the nicest guy youll talk to, next time you stop in hes got this pissed off attitude.A month ago I stop by to see if they could wire some led turn signals and add a tach. I spoke with Tim that day, we discussed in detail what I was looking to have done. He went so far as to take a part off one bike and show me how it would work on mine. We looked at my bike and told me yes I think we can do the work and it should not cost much to do the jobI ask him when I should bring in the bike and was told they were pretty busy and to drop it off when I didnt need it, the weather was bad etc. After about a month I take everything off my bike, bags shields etc. so nothing would be in their way. I took my service manual with me that had all the electrical schematics to assist them if necessary, (we had discussed this on my first visit). Ride the bike down to the shop and go in to discuss the job. I could tell immediately Tim was in his testy mood. I went over the details again to refresh his memory from our conversation last month. He starts telling me hes unsure of the project, doesnt know if its even possible. (Its led turn signals and a handlebar mounted tach) Asking me if I already have the parts, do I have the part numbers etc. Do I know how to wire up the tach? No Tim I do not have that info but Im sure we can look that up while Im here and Im going to leave the service manual with you as well.He says you should take it to the dealer. Really! These are aftermarket items were discussing.I said, if you dont want to do the job, and before I finish the sentence he immediately says nope I dont want to do it.No problem man, see ya later. As Im gathering my helmet to leave he tells me, If ya need tires or oil change just let me know. My words, everyone does tires Tim.You try to work with the local independent guy, try to build a business relationship, and he could care less about your business. Amazing, guess I wont be back, ya cant deal with someone when you never know how theyll react to someone trying to give them money for services?Business is good for him right now, but Karma can be a funny thing. He might look up one day and find himself back turning wrenches at a HD dealership for $17Im sure hell probably have a response to this review and state somehow I was at fault Trust me that was not the case.3/18/16, Well I see Mr Miles replied just as I suspected he would. Pointing the finger at the customer. Like a modern day Triumph is a space ship no one can work on, LOL. I normally do most of my own wrenching but I thought I would let you guys do these simple tasks.I ordered the items from Custom Dynamics and Speedhut. Installed them myself, took me all of two hours. Both units look great and function correctly. No superglue or duct tape required, LOLMy condolences to you for you losses, the day I was in your shop I had recently buried my good friend who also passed with pancreatic cancer.

I had a similar experience as Zane. Admittedly it was a long while ago, maybe three summers back, but it left me with a really bad taste in my mouth. I have moved on to much nicer bikes and learned a lot more since then, but I still regularly recall my experience at Cycle Stop. It was really bad. I had their business card in my wallet after picking it up at Time Warp Tea Room (an awesome place), so when I got worried that I might damage my bike during the course of a project, I decided to give them a try. I was still very new to motorcycles at this point and very scared of hurting the one I had, since it was something of an antique and very fragile to work on. I brought them a 1983 Suzuki GS1100GL that needed two things, a starter motor put in, and the exhaust put back on. The only reason I had brought it to them is because I couldnt find a way to get the new starter in and have it clear the factory cover. I dont recall what on earth it was that they ordered, may have been a different starter motor, but they told me that I needed a different part and I recall that it was back-ordered for close to three weeks. Not exactly their fault, even though their story kept changing about when the part would arrive, but here is the real issue. When I finally got the bike back after almost a month they had still bent and scratched my factory cover in order to install the new starter. The whole reason I had brought it to someone else in the first place was to avoid damaging the cover! Perhaps if they had called me and asked me if this was ok, it would have been better, but they just did it. Im aware that my bike was not an Indian Larry panhead or anything, but no customer should be treated like their bike isnt important enough to not damage it. The exhaust was back on when I received the bike, but there were all sorts of washers and bits holding it on and it was not properly sealed. I think I may have been able to do it better myself, even back then. All of this is forgivable to an extent, as the custom late-ish model Sportsters parked outside suggested that they didnt really specialize in working on vintage Japanese bikes. I suppose I threw them a bit of a curve ball in that regards, unknowingly, since the place is called Cycle Stop and not Harley Stop. Even so, my biggest gripe was with the price. I paid 800 dollars for that bike. The shop charged me over 1000 dollars for shoddy work and it took them close to a month to return my bike. I am well aware of how shop labor rates work, but there is not a chance that they put ten hours of work into my bike. A similar project, assuming I had all the parts needed, would take me about two hours with basic hand tools even in a Walgreens parking lot. At least I can thank them for the lesson they taught me, and that is that I shouldnt give up so easily. I was young and I just wanted my bike back on the road as quickly as possible without breaking anything. I guess sometimes its quicker and cheaper to do things on your own. I have a custom Sportster now, and I do most of my own work. If I do need something done that is outside of my abilities, I am not sure that I would try Cycle Stop again. They would probably treat me better since I am older now, and my bikes are worth more money. Even so, I think I will try and find a shop that treats all riders with the same level of respect, regardless of their age or how much their motorcycle is worth.

Got ripped off on carb work I had done there. Instead of actually taking the carbs off, they claimed they could not get the carbs off, which they could have done if they tried, and just removed the bottom and sprayed cleaner in them. charged 400 dollars for the work cause of labor. throttle cable was stuck, and they claimed they fixed it but they didnt touch it at all and instead just turned the idle nob. they claim they work on older bikes but when i came in, but to me it did not seem like they cared to work on them because they claimed they are hard to work on.
