Gets told by the yard troll that I “don’t know lumber” because I sorted through a few boards to find a product that wasn’t full of sapwood, knots, or soaked. It took all of 10 minutes, but apparently I didn’t pay the troll toll and he tried to take the lumber off my truck. When I went to speak to the grand wizard, he quipped “you can’t sort through hundreds of boards. Which was confusing, because it was about 20 boards. Go somewhere else. Nasty hobbitses.

Reasonably good quality. Just be careful to get only what you need. I purchased cedar fence boards and was not aware that they have a no return policy. It is not stated anywhere on the invoice. I miscounted by 11 boards and at just over $4.00 a board Im out almost $50. Not the worst thing in the world but they could be a bit more forthcoming at the time of purchase. Then again if youve ever been there you know the guy up front has very little to say to anyone. As much as I like buying local, I dont plan on going back.

This is the place if you’re looking for Cedar boards, posts and beams. I was looking for Cedar shingles and they had exactly what I needed. Very knowledgeable and helpful, in a relaxed atmosphere, making for a pleasant shopping experience.

Beware of charges on your receipt. Apparently they think its OK to charge non specific surcharges and freight charges when you havent ordered lumber and your buying from whats already on the lumber yard.

These guys are awesome. They had everything I needed for my project, and were super helpful. I had to go back for more supplies, and they were just as nice the second time around.

I love this place! They have the best supply of high quality cedar in the area. Whenever you get tired of picking through the trash that the big box stores have you must check this place out.

Fair price on fencing materials. Be forewarned!- Inspect your fence pickets before leaving the site. I purchased 150 1x6x8 fence pickets. When I arrived to pick up my pickets, they were palleted and banded together. As I built my fence, I noticed some of the boards had begun to warp along the grain. Understandable, but several of the boards showed damage by forklift. When I called to inquire about returning damaged boards, I was told, We dont take anything back we cant sell. But, they sold it to me.

Two days ago I called Mr. Smith to get a quote on 150, 1” thick x 6”wide x 6’ long cedar pickets.He stated that they had them in stock and ready for pick up.Yesterday afternoon, I drove from from Austin in heavy Friday traffic to find, as they were loading my pickets on my trailer, that my new, 1” thick pickets were barely 1/2”.I took my paperwork inside to ask if we had a misunderstanding and was met with incredulity as I inquired about the reasoning behind fronting skinny pickets and presenting them as a suitable alternative to the industry standard.He said that pickets are never a true 1” thick and being a fence contractor, I know that; they are usually 3/4”-7/8” thick.Mr. Smith then states that these are the only pickets that they have and to take them or leave ‘em.I refused them.I wasted 2.5 hours spinning my wheels and time for lack of disclosure, common courtesy and a complete disregard for the use of my time during the course of a work day.These folks are thin on credibility and thick on pompacity.*Buyer beware*

Horrible experience 2/2 times I’ve gone there. Never again

We had an issue with the consistency of the 1x6x8 cedar boards but they replaced the bad ones a few weeks later.

No everything is Great, But you get what you need, just need extra for the bad boards.
