The best bookstore Ive ever been in! The atmosphere is charming and the staff are incredibly helpful and professional! It is attached to a cute coffee shop which makes for excellent instant reading following the purchase of a book. Prices are completely fair for used books and they will order new books if requested. This is my favorite bookstore and Im delighted every time I come by!

This store is a gem of books and nostalgia. Better kept than a library. The store owner was a bit ornery but helpful. The selection of book was incredible, especially the fictional area. Prices were fair... a must see in LA Crosse. Worth your time.

Love it here, the smells and sights of books are a dream. You can also find a lot of great books in stock both new and used. Ive pre-ordered books and also ordered new and used copies of books they didnt have in stock. Positive experiences every time.

Great place to find new and old books, the stacks are ceiling high and stuffed with books of all genres and decades. Walking through the aisles is a fun past time and you are likely to come home with some unique, low priced things to read. There are also journals, maps, and cards. Theres something for all ages.

The shops comfy and friendly atmosphere make for an enjoyable ambiance to browse through thousands of amazing books, plus it is directly attached to a delightful coffee shop. Fluffy chairs and a helpful staff make this place all the more appealing.

A wonderful gem of a bookstore. You can find everything from first editions to random books on flint locks. I love this wonderful little shop. So many shelves packed to bursting with books on every subject you can imagine. You can walk right into the coffee store next door and read your new book while drinking a cup of coffee.

Every time I stop in La Crosse I have to make a trip to Pearl Street Books to see whats made its way to their shelves.Ive found countless rare or obscure books in paperback versions that just arent easy to find (or at reasonable prices) online. My last stop quickly grew from one book on Vienna in 1913-1914, to another book on 19th Century Vienna, to a couple books on interwar Germany, to extensively detailed military histories on numerous conflicts -- six hard-to-find titles for ~$30 total.If you like books, if you love books, or if youre slightly indifferent, I must suggest stopping in. Youre sure to find something that piques your interest!

They really need to update their hours online. We drove a long way to go to the store and get there and a sign taped to the door with the hours say they close at 2pm on Saturdays but online says 9pm.
