Noticed the ice cream parlor and the connected confectionary from down the street while eating at another restaurant. Finally got the chance to check it out and was not disappointed. Once you step inside, you are greeted by the wonderful smell of the sweets and chocolate. Its not overbearing but it does make you wonder what they have. In the ice cream parlor, they have many of the regular flavors as well as a few others that are seasonal. I had the strawberry and the fudge brownie chunks (vanilla, cookie dough, brownie and a whole lot of delicious). You pay by the scoop and they dont skimp out on how much ice cream they serve you. The flavors were delicious. I would definitely come here again

Was recommended to try this place out by my boss, and she definitely has good taste. This place was easily one of the best ice cream places Ive ever been to. A gem of a place located close to the river. It was really nice getting some ice cream from here and then going out for a walk down by the waterfront.

Visit 1: Absolutely delicious ice cream with nice selection. Kind and courteous service was a bonus. Busy place. Beware of tight parking and goofy traffic pattern due to road construction project in front of the La Crosse Center.Visit 2: Extremely busy on a Sunday mid-afternoon. There were 30 people in line within the building with the line extended outside so I couldnt get a total count. There were 6 workers behind the main counter and a seventh on the other side of the room making waffle cones. The glass tables outside were full and absolutely filthy (grime smeared across the glass surface) so I cant agree with the statement of cleaning between customers. I didnt see any workers in front of the store cleaning or maintaining the outdoor eating area. This seems a little out-of-touch with new post Covid expectations. My icecream was delicious (Mississippi Mud & White Chocolate Raspberry on waffle). Great ice cream but the square footage of the area (inside and immediately outside) is too small and busy to maintain appropriate sanitizing and social distancing under current conditions.

A delectable cool treat after spicy cajun dinner just across the street.Shared cappuccino oreo (lots of oreos but not strong coffee flavor at all) and maple walnut (great maple flavor but few walnuts).Ice cream was rich and creamy and their homemade waffle cone was good.Little bit of a wait but not too bad. Gave us time to select our flavors.

This parlor is almost always busy for a reason! Their service and product is always top notch!This particular visit I tried their sunday of the week, an apple with caramel goodness in several layers. This was my first time trying one of their fun sundays and this experience encourages me to do so more often!Very courteous staff who have always been nice and helpful when asked questions.Overall, this is always a good place to visit.

Everything about this place is just top tier. The ice cream is amazing and not expensive at all. Homemade waffle cones. Old fashioned candies, homemade candies, salt water taffy, and chocolates. Stunning architecture and a superb staff.

Delicious. I had a scoop of Oreo Cappuccino, I think — that might not be the exact name. One of the best scoops on a waffle cone I’ve had. Will be returning to try another flavor

I had the Pomegranate swirl with no added sugar and it was DELICIOUS!My husband had his favorite, mint chocolate chip and he loved it, he found his not too sweet, which is a good thing for him because he doesnt like things with too much sugar

The Pearl offers quite an assortment of cones and ice cream flavors and appears to be a local favorite as the line of customers extended into the attached candy shop. Even so, our wait was not very long. The ordering process is quite efficient. The customer tells the cashier what type of cone you want, or bowl, and how many scoops - flavor of ice cream is unimportant. After paying, you move down the counter until a soda jerk asks you what you would like. You inform them what you ordered and the flavor(s) you want. I ordered a double scoop and the soda jerk, their term, had a somewhat difficult time scooping my ice cream, the Mississippi Mud. I was slightly disappointed in that the young lady barely got my second scoop onto the first scoop but still handed me my cone for me to figure out the rest and hope that the scoop did not fall off. She was hurrying and lacked patience. I carefully left and worked at biting the top scoop to reduce it quickly in an attempt to prevent a calamity. For my efforts, I was unable to actually enjoy the extra scoop but the remainder of my cone was delicious. The parlor itself was charming and the treats looked great. Worth the visit if you are in the area.

One of the greatest gems of La Crosse! So clean. So friendly. So much character and charm. Fast service. Great flavors and treats. Very much a highlight of any evening.

A must when in La Crosse. Such a good old-timey soda-jerk/candy shop that always smells great with a lot of unique (but good) and classic treats. Not sure why anyone would give this place less than 5 stars. Lines can be pretty long in the summer, but it is just because it is so popular.

Good ice cream. I had the cotton candy, strawberry, and blue moon all in the span of 2 days. Yep, I just kept coming back.I would recommend that the management remove the sign that says to wear a mask, as almost no other store or restaurant in the area has similar signs. The sign might confuse customers and add unneeded stress to those who forgot a mask.

So sweet you gain weight walking in the door and smelling the fresh waffle cones baking (watching her roll them off keeps you amused while waiting for your turn at this popular spot. Very definitely has the old-fashion ice cream parlor feel.

Looked forward to visiting this ice cream parlor because of how busy it was. Unfortunately, after waiting 30 minutes in line, we were confronted by an extremely rude employee who told us that our masks were not good enough. She made a huge scene to the entire store. We are all vaccinated, so we are no longer required to wear a mask anyway. We live in America, the land of the free, not a Communist country. Horrible customer service. Ill never be back.

For a $7.50 milkshake it is very disappointing. Ordered the cappuccino oreo flavor. The shake tastes like neither and was very runny. On the positive the store is very authentic looking and the staff was friendly. I will force myself to finish the shake just because it costs so much.

A cute ice cream parlor and candy shop right out of the 1930s. Ice cream and cones are made in-house and the “soda jerks” are friendly and helpful. They have quite a selection of both bulk and wrapped candies, many of which I’ve never seen before.

A local vendor told us if we liked ice cream, Pearl was a place not to be missed. Sure glad we took their advice! The smell of homemade waffle cones permeated the store as we walked in and its always a good sign when the line is almost out the door. Our family indulged in 2 cones and a strawberry shake. WOW!!! It all tasted fantastic! We definitely recommend the Pearl Ice cream parlor.
