Island Outdoors is a great place to go to get anything you need whether you are going out on the water fishing or just spending the day relaxing. Great place to get bait for fishing. We rented kayaks and stand up paddle boards here and spent a couple of hours on the water. Very reasonably priced for some good times on the water.

What a great gem in La crosse. The store was more than I expected. They have a Huge selection of outdoor gear, fishing poles, clothes, bait, and everything you need. The staff was super helpful and even gave Me a free bottle of water.

They were very helpful when I came to choosing some fishing equipment. I am not an equipment expert, so they answered all of my questions. I have returned multiple times. Their prices are fair. They do not have cheap stuff, so you should not expect to pay or receive Walmart-grade equipment.

I have rented a canoe from IO 2 times now. Both times the staff have been incredibly knowledgeable and kind. This is a busy spot that is local to our community and does not mind taking the time to explain/inform customers on anything related to your concerns. I would definitely recommend them to you. Rather it is for a joy ride out on the river or to get your outdoor goods, please check them out. Thanks fellas for always being there when we need to get outdoors.

I called and they had an item that I have been trying for months to find. Out of stock and backordered everywhere else. They put my name on it and held it for me for a couple days until I could get in to pick it up. They were very friendly and helpful in the store. Great store with awesome selection and some good sale prices.

We stopped in without a reservation to see if anything was available because it was a nice day. All of the kayaks were rented out, but they had a canoe left, so we rented it for three hours. The staff members were very helpful, and the area you could access from their launch site was nice. There were some boats with water skiers nearby, but there were also no-wake zones that too could stay in if you were uncomfortable with the waves. We had a great time and would love to go back!

Super helpful... Needed advice about a kayak rack. They could have sold me a $300 dollar roller, but instead they just gave me some helpful tips for free! Would definitely return.

I mostly utilize this business during the Spring and Fall when I’m fishing the Mississippi. Their bait prices are comparable to other stores in the area; additionally, their bait seems to be well taken care of and remains lively over a long day of fishing. The staff is very helpful, and the store is reliably open from 6:30AM to 7PM during the week and 6:30AM to 6PM on weekends. I believe they will be my go-to place for bait for years to come. Give them a try!

Went in with husband to get bait. And I very happy with staff. I kept asking questions that were not your usual kind but they handled them great. Were so friendly and they didnt make me feel like a dumb girl who doesnt know anything. So thanks boys cant wait to make it back again

Ive done 2 different group things through them and it was such a great time. First was the diva paddle a couple years ago where we kayaked starting over near dresbach and got back to French island. More recently we went for paddles & pints where we paddled our way to moxies for music and drinks & then back to the shop. The staff were so nice and the options were endless. We got the peddletoon but you could hydro bike or kayak so many options! Not very expensive either for a good time!

Awesome spot! I rented a paddleboard for three hours. The price was very reasonable (under $20). The staff is really laid back, helpful, and nice.If youre looking for a place with chill, relaxed summer vibes... look no further. Ill definitely be back.Protip: if you rent a paddleboard, bring a submersible bag so you can store whatever beverages, sunscreen, etc in it.

My wife and I recently purchased two Wilderness Systems kayaks (Tarpon and a Pungo). We were pleased with the patience of the sales staff and the fair prices. I am also confident in the service after the sale, in the unlikely event we need help with a part or repair.

We rented a couple kayaks for the afternoon. Really great service, all the staff we interacted with was really nice. Fast check-in and we were on the water, even faster check-out. Great prices. Huge store if you needed anything. Gorgeous area to kayak. Next time Ill bring my poles, seems like fishing must be really good around there.

You can rent ice skates here and skate at there outdoor rink or take the skates to another rink. Id give them 5 stars if theyd sharpen their skates.

Ive been there a couple of times!! The last time I went they were having a big sale on alot of inventory!!! I ended up buying a new rod, real, tackle box, and alot of lures all on sale!! It was a great time to shop!! Big savings and they were very helpful with all of the questions that I asked!!The sale might still be going on!!! Dont wait, get it while they are in the mood to sell!!
